The course has incredible views no matter what hole you are on. The greens run fast but amazing layout.

Susan T.

Beautiful conditions, Covid restrictions were followed, clean restrooms at the turn. The starter got us off on time and we didn't see anyone the entire round. Played in 4 hours in our own little bubble and it was wonderful!

Great golf destination. Greens are firm and true. Great food. They're really good at keeping pace of play as well.

Amazing course. Views were incredible and greens were pure. Only complaint is that the cart girl was extremely rude.

Amazing course with terrible service. People are brain dead working this spot. Super short and rude. Save your money and go to Snow Creek.

Ask the Community - Sierra Star Golf Course

Does anybody know if people are aloud to play in the snow at the golf course during off season? Just asking because it's the backyard of my Airbnb. Just trying to plan. Thank you

First timer and will be a life-long visitor from now on!…read more SERVICE: Amazing! Super welcoming staff and accommodating. We ended up extending our stay and took care of it right away. I was about to cancel our reservation due to the recent snow/winter storm and even with chains we were worried about becoming stranded but they were kind enough to offer a reschedule due to the promo being non cancellable. Glad we stuck through the new reservation! Communication was very easy; either through messages or phone call and our needs were met quickly. Being a first timer in the resort and the area, they were very helpful with answering our questions about things to do or where to go. I can't say enough good things about their staff. Check in was a breeze with online and at registration, so was check out. AMENITIES: Granted we went during winter months and right after a snowstorm so we really weren't able to use the amenities such as the pool or hot tub but we were able to walk around and it was open. The Pines market is very convenient with all our needs as well as the other shops and stores for snacks or different foods. Parking was easy at the registration although they might need to repaint some of the numbers or lines in front of the chalets but other than that, no issues with parking at all. ROOM/ACCOMMODATION: We reserved a 2 queens chalet with lakeside view. Unfortunately, our view was blocked by the electric pole/trees towards the lake but can still see some of the lake. It was still a beautiful view and the location of our chalet was close to the amenities. The chalet was clean and had no harsh cleaning solution smells. I loved that it came with a kitchenette and the balcony to do some outdoor grilling. The place was comfortable and homey. I wish there was just another toilet upstairs lol because there was 4 of us and we somehow managed to want to use the restroom at the same time multiple times LOL. But otherwise, everything was in working condition. As a suggestion, if they can change the bedroom tv to a smart tv because the cable channels kept glitching and channel options were slim also if possible just have it on the wall, creates more walking space because it was pretty tight walking to the beds lol. There's this little cubby space on the other side of the bathroom wall where a dresser (a tall one) could be put instead. Otherwise, I still very much loved our stay. We absolutely did not want to leave. I cannot wait to book this resort again. Highly recommend! Wonderful staff, amenities and accommodation! Close to yosemite and oakhurst. Very convenient.

I only stayed one night at The Pines Resort in Bass Lake, but it was enough to absolutely love it…read more Our cabin was small but super cozy, just a short walk to the lake, and we had a great lake view from our balcony. The cabins freely a bit outdated, but the property is really clean and well kept, and the restaurants and bars were amazing. We had such a fun time. Huge shoutout to Kim from the security team, who was incredibly friendly, patient, and took great care of us, even shuttling us back and forth to the Pines Bar a few times. Honestly, every staff member we encountered was awesome. Short stay, great experience, and we'll definitely be back.

Consistent over the years.. wonderful customer service, clean, comfy, and modern with dog friendly rooms. Pet rules: two dogs max. $20 x dog per night (3rd night they stay for free. yay!) The small things like having soft plush towels, Mrs. Meyers hand/dish soap and kitchen stocked with cooking oil, spices, and ground coffee is a big plus. Kyle and Krissy are always friendly and responsive over email. We stayed in few different rooms and the cabins here and you can't go wrong with any them. perfect spot. Long wide runs and friendly staff. The only way up is the two seater chair lift..it can be scary, but you don't have to strap in, so it takes off the anxiety of getting off the chair lift on top. Chair J6 is the easiest to get on and off the lift. It slows down a bit on top with a low incline. There are some flat areas on this run, so keep your speed or you're have to shimmy or walk until you get to an inclined. J2 is a two-seater. It lifts up and turns quickly, so make sure to unload as soon as you're on top. Especially for shorter people, the chair lifts up and can knock off your balance.

It came with very old looking bindings and they claimed that it was all they had. Day 2 on the slopes, front binding became loose and back binding ankle strap couldn't click in. My friend was stuck on the mountain without safe equipment to get down, so she had to call ski patrol to get her down with downhill lifts. A fun blue bird day was cut short for her. When returning the gear and asking for a refund for the second day, the shop had the audacity to deny responsibility and claim that the gear was working when it was rented out and that my friend should've brought the gear back while being stuck on the mountain. They ended up offering a 5 dollar discount, when the old equipment they rented out wasn't even worth the 2 days demo price was that was charged. This shop does not belong in the ski industry. It showed zero concerns about the safety of their patrons and zero responsibility for the garbage equipment that they rented out.

With receipts, settings and Business Card for original fitter in hand I called and was asked; . . . "If I was sure that I had bought them there?" We got there, got everything unloaded and unpacked, had dinner, cleaned up, watched a movie then got ready for bed. The sheets were dirty - full of food, crumbs and mouse poop. The pull out couches were disgusting. We had three people sleeping in one bed until we got ahold of maintenance. They came at 11:40 pm and changed the sheets on one bed so we weren't all in the other bed. Yes, we had three people sleeping in one bed because there was nowhere else to sleep. He did offer a change of cabins at that moment, but it was almost midnight and we were leaving at 5am to hike in Yosemite. The thought of moving everything was too exhausting at almost midnight. The guy that called me the next day was not friendly or apologetic. The other three people from our trip canceled, because they are immunocompromised and didn't want to sleep in beds that had mouse poop in them, as Hantavirus is carried by mice in the area. Housekeeping came the next day to clean the couch pull out beds that were full of mouse poop. One still had mouse poop in it even after they 'cleaned' it. We gave up and decided we will stay somewhere nicer next time. The cabin wasn't very clean in general. Honestly, I think they just wiped the counters down and put new towels up when we got there. They did not change the linens. Pretty nasty. If you look up the Google reviews, another guest found bedbugs in their cabin. Update: They called me and apologized. They are trying to make it right by providing us a new cabin that they ensured will be clean and mouse poop free. I'll update again later.

Who knew there was a little town inside Yosemite National Park where you can find cabins to rent?…read more Turns out, The Redwoods in Yosemite is a property management company that handles rentals of approximately 120 different cabins throughout the small town of Wawona in southern Yosemite. Over the Labor Day holiday we had a neat experience with Cabin 53. It had all of the basics that you could need and was cute and clean, and had decking all around. It was surrounded by a few other cabins and some nice pine trees. Staff from the Redwoods were friendly, accommodating, and responsive. There were many different sizes and types of cabins available, so both small and large groups can be accommodated. Unfortunately our cabin had a couple minor issues which couldn't be resolved, though they did try. The Redwoods community is located a short distance off the 41 in South Yosemite. It was still about 45 minutes to the main valley area, but it also had lots of neat things nearby as well. Still better than many options outside the park. Value was decent and we didn't feel like we were overcharged. This is a great option if you are looking for something a bit different to add that rustic cabin stay to your Yosemite trip.
