The course itself was absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing due to the customer service. My group of ten was in town for a bachelor party, and we had booked and fully paid for three tee times several months in advance. When we arrived about 45 minutes early, we learned there was a tournament scheduled around our same time. Despite our confirmed reservation, we were not accommodated, and the Pro Shop manager, Ken, handled the situation very poorly. His attitude and lack of professionalism made the experience unnecessarily stressful. It's a real shame, because the course has so much potential and we had planned to stay for food and drinks afterward -- but after being rushed through our round and treated dismissively, we decided to take our business elsewhere. In short, the course itself is top-notch, but the customer service--especially our interaction with management--was far below expectations. I'd just recommend future guests be aware of this before booking. read more

That wasn't even the main problem -- the real issue was the pro shop manager, Ken. He was shockingly rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. His attitude ruined what should have been a fun and memorable day. For a place that looks this nice, the management and customer service are a total embarrassment. Fairly well kept 9-hole course with beautiful views. Moderately challenging , but very playable for all levels. Friendly staff and they kept a nice flow of play. The restaurant was alright, the fries were overly salty. Only thing I was obnoxious was the price for a pair of golf gloves, $24 for FJ's . read more

Really enjoyed playing this course. It is a full length 9 hole course with bookend par 5's. The greens are in incredible shape and very fast. If you get up above the hole, then kiss your ball goodbye. The people that work there have always been nice as are the locals that play there. It's a great course to get out of town to some fresh air and good golf. read more

Great 9 hole course! Once you arrive and see the nice greens it's worth it. First time playing this course and I was glad we decided on it. Had to call for directions as the GPS sent us some other route but the gentleman was very helpful. Once we arrived it was beautiful, the gentleman working there was polite and courteous. He gave us some tips on couple holes as this was our first time there and we would definitely play again when in the area! read more

I play in a scramble tournament at River Creek every Memorial Day weekend. The staff here is fantastic. Always welcoming and very accommodating. And the course itself is in great shape. Beautiful views abound with the Fresno River running near a few of the holes. Every time I play this course I wish I got to play it more than once a year. What a gem hidden in the hills near Ahwahnee. Highly recommend 9 or 18 holes here if you get a chance. And the bar at the 19th hole is a great place to stop for a cold beer after the round. read more

We had a 12pm tee time with 4 players and 2 spectators for 18 holes. We were supposed to have 3 carts but were informed upon arrival that they didn't have any and some of us had to walk. We made due and that was ok. It was very busy and we were playing the waiting game all afternoon. When we got to the 18th hole a employee came up and let us know that we would need to let people play thru in front of us next time because they were getting calls of people who were mad that they needed to get their cart turned in by 5. First of all the group behind us was at the tee box for the previous hole. They were not waiting on us. Secondly the employee was completely rude. We tried to tell him we had to wait on people all day and it was very busy that's why we were slow. He said their hasn't been a cart come in for an hour. Yeah because the people in front of us on the back 9 were WALKING! He drove away talking under his breath about you teed off at such ans such time. He was so rude and the chances of coming back are slim to none. We have played a lot of courses and never had an employee treat us the way this guy did. On top of playing a lot of courses we are members at a country club in town. This encounter ruined our experience there. We payed a pretty penny to play and buy food and drinks. read more

This course is a hidden gem! I've played here so many times, and I have seen the course reach better and better conditions. Greens roll very smooth, the course layout is very unique and fun to play, and the views are amazing! It forces you to be very strategic when hitting tee shots; you can't just walk up there and smash a driver like usual because you'll be penalized when missing the narrow fairways. Some may think it being a 9 hole course is a negative, but it gives you the option to change your strategy off the tee when you go around the second time. Love this course--would recommend to anyone! read more

I have not played this course in over 6 months. I was pleased, the fairways were green, and we're not too dried out. The greens were also in fairly good condition. The staff were very friendly and price is fair. Overall we had a good time. Can only blame my score on my own play. This is a worthwhile place to spend a few hours. read more

Played here over July 4th weekend, and this continues to be one of my favorite Central Cal muni courses. Greens in very good shape -- somewhat surprising, given they allow golfers to bring dogs on the course without a leash. There was a Doberman running around with the group behind me, racing around on greens, galloping around the fairways. Somewhat unsettling and distracting, to say the least. I get upset when I miss a short putt due to human spike marks and bad course etiquette, but this was the first time I was concerned about a dog running up to me while I was preparing to swing! Afraid to say it affected my score and my enjoyment of the day, for sure. I love my German Shepherd as much as anyone loves their dog, but if you have to play golf around a roaming, barking dog I think other golfers should get a $ discount. Or tell me which days are "dog-free days". read more

The course was fun and challenging. The club house is nice, and the girl in the restaurant was very sweet, friendly and helpful. However, we reserved rental clubs, and when we got to the course we were told that they didn't have the clubs available because they were stolen. When I said, " before you reserve clubs, you should make sure you have them," the man in the shop lost his temper and spoke very rudely to me. After we left the shop, he came out and said he found the clubs. Although, we will probably play the course again, I hope the organization and personnel attitude improve. read more
