Thank you June Mountain Team! Everyone was very friendly and helpful, from the check in staff, ski lift crew, rental team, and the kitchen staff (especially the tall gentleman who served the delicious chili fries with all the fixings on top!) Thank you thank you thank you! I will definitely come back!

Great ski area! Fun trails and great terrain for every level! Some of the chair lifts are small and don't have the bar to put down which is a bit scary. Gorgeous views and awesome snow! If you're looking for a low key day that doesn't involve lines and crowds June mountain is the place to go!

Took my daughter(4years old) to her first ski lesson at June Mountain. Teagan's teacher was Ben luedtke and I can't rave enough about him. There was only four kids allowed in the class which was perfect because it felt like she had a lot of one on one time with Ben. Ben was incredible from how he spoke to the kids to how he legit in two hours got them going down a pretty good size hill on their own. He built up Teagans confidence by constantly encouraging her and working through her struggles of making a "pizza" Thank you Ben you don't know how happy you made this family.

June is a great smaller mountain to snowboard/ski at. There are less people here versus Mammoth. The trails are wider which is perfect for beginners who might need more room to practice.

The Chalet is a nice spot to take breaks before, between, and after fun on the slopes. Although it's the base of all the action, it's technically not on the bottom of June Mountain so going on a lift is required with or without your gear. It has the essentials like if you need rentals or need a restroom break. There is food available, both breakfast and lunch. Whether if you are eating pancakes or a burger, the view of mountains and June Lake is breathtaking. Even if you pack your own snacks, it's just nice to take water break and stare out the window. I suggest skipping Stew Pot Slim's higher up on the mountain and just ski or ride down to the Chalet. There's more food and seating options here. My husband and I enjoyed stopping by here.

For my 1900th review, I'd like to dedicate it to one of my favorite family mountain to ski/snowboard! After being a Mammoth season pass holder for over a decade, not sure why I never made it to this mountain until this season. This ski resort is about 30min north of Mammoth Mountain and is part of the same lift pass. It's a very small mountain with only a few ski lifts, mostly families come here. It's never crowded and the lift lines are short. The view at the top is amazing. The town is also very small and very cute. It's got the old school alpine vibe and very quint. Highly recommend! Especially on a saturday when Mammoth is super crowded.

JUNE mountain has been nothing but an amazing experience from the first time I've stepped foot on the mountain and taken my first über scenic ride up the lift called J1. The staff had been super accommodating and always super helpful every time I come to buy a pass. Specifically Emily and April who are in the ticket office. Both have always helped me when deciding the best pass to buy for the day and I couldn't ask more from them. 10/10 will keep coming here for years to come.

We came back again this year, and the experience was just as phenomenal as it was last year. God I love these runs and I love the staff here. I even ran into my ski instructor from last year (Van) and he remembered me and we shared a few laughs as he ended up being my daughters ski instructor. Van is really excellent BTW for adults and kids lessons at any level. The staff at the rentals counter is awesome and gets you in your gear quickly and with a smile. I love Mammoth a lot, but June is so much quieter and less crazy, and it's just a stunning landscape there with fantastic ski/snowboard runs. I still highly recommend it for a trip with family or friends.

It is clear and bright all throughout the day. We went in prime time of the year (right after New Years) and there was practically nobody. There is plenty of terrain for all skill levels, so a great family mountain. Only thing is the chair ride up can be a little sketchy, but going down, there is a small trail which is fun!

Ask the Community - June Meadows Chalet

Do you know if there are daycare options with June Mountain or within the community? I have a 2 yo who is not old enough for ski lessons.

Hi Tiana. Yes, there is a daycare option in June Lake, The June Lake Little Loopers. You can call them at (818) 523-8792. You can see more information here, they are the last listing on the page. Hope that helps.…

Does anyone know how much half day tickets are?

25% off a full day ticket price. Daily lift prices are dynamic (change daily based on day/time of year).

This was only my second stay at Double Eagle Resort & Spa, and the difference from my first visit is night and day. What was once a well-kept mountain retreat has clearly declined under current ownership, leaving us with one of the most disappointing and concerning lodging experiences we've had. The property shows serious neglect. Mouse droppings were everywhere outside our room and inside on the carpet too. We literally had to sweep them aside just to get comfortable. Add in prominent water stains on the ceilings, dirty baseboards and floors around the doors, stained towels with yellowish marks, and overall grime, and it crossed into health hazard territory. We booked specifically for the spa amenities. The indoor pool water was a murky green, the hot tub area was slimy and filthy, and both the pool/spa facilities and female sauna were closed with "maintenance" signs that had apparently been there for weeks or months. This is inexcusable at a resort that promotes these as key features with free guest access. Broken window screens also let in swarms of mosquitoes, making the room uncomfortable. We made multiple attempts to resolve these issues visiting the front desk repeatedly, trying to speak with the owner, and giving them time to call back. The response was poor. One employee, Martin at the front desk, seemed more annoyed by our complaints than interested in helping. Other staff seemed polite but stretched thin, which points to bigger problems with management and resources. Double Eagle was a highlight of June Lake. Charging premium rates while delivering filthy conditions, closed amenities, and unresponsive service isn't right. We've documented it all with photos and will be pursuing remedies. If you care about cleanliness, safety, and actually enjoying the spa/pool facilities, look elsewhere. We still love June Lake deeply and will be back to the area but not here until meaningful improvements are made. Strongly not recommended.

The creek that runs through the resort, as well as the little pond were beautiful. We never used the gym or spa, but briefly walked through and it looked very nice! It is for sure an older funkier place, that's part of the charm.

The sites all seemed to be on the smaller, cramped side and a bit dusty, but overall clean. Deer liked hanging around the campsites as did the wasps. The good: nice big tables, good fire ring, easy access to water and clean restrooms. Area is pretty, and it's close to the lake. The host is very friendly and informative, and sells fire wood. The bear boxes are big and work well. Sites have pull through parking, so it's very easy to park. Most of the sites have decent shade in the daytime. Short walk to gull lake. The bad: sites are not private at all. Sitting in my site, I can see directly into no fewer than 9 other sites. It's also right off the June Lake Loop, which means cars are very audible at all hours. I was also awakened this morning by a helicopter flying very low at 7 am. It has continued running laps all day. The host informed me that they're replacing power poles with more sturdy ones. This is a good thing, but not for campers in 2020! Be warned. Overall, with the exception of the helicopters, this campground is fine. I'm giving it 4 stars because I really can't hold the helicopter noise against the campground.
