    Cabin 9 bedroom
    Kim K.

Well we came back and are still so happy with this amazing family owned place! David, the owner, greeted us upon arrival. Gave us keys to our little cabin and sent us on our way. We stayed in cabin 9. We love this cabin as it's nestled in the back of the property amongst the tall evergreens and it feels just a little more private than the other cabins. A small stream runs just behind it and flows into Reverse Creek just a short walk across the meadow. There are several lovely sitting areas along the creek. It's exactly as we remembered. This time the weather was cooler so we appreciated the fireplace (heater). We stocked our fridge. Unpacked our belongings and settled in for our week long anniversary getaway. The cabin is well stocked with everything you could ever imagine. Pots, pans, dishes, utensils, baking sheets, towels, soap, cleaning supplies, extra blankets, etc. They even have a BBQ out on the small private deck of each cabin, which we love!! If you don't see it, ask. We needed an extension cord for our phones and David had us covered. You do need to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Of course food is a must and I highly recommend bringing a cooler and shopping in your home town and bringing it up as the store in June is pricey. This is definitely one of the best lodging options in the loop for the price. Located in between June/Gull Lake and Silver Lake. If you haven't read my previous review, check it out.

We weren't able to stay at the cabins this year, this picture was taken at Virginia Lakes next to the store.

We have stayed at Reverse Creek Lodge Many times because it's just absolutely beautiful , the back of the loop, cabins are very old, but fun to stay in, you are in cabins, for God sakes ,in the woods with lots of deer ,wild turkey, and such .right around the corner is waterfalls during the spring, which are absolutely stunning, it's been family owned by a beautiful and wonderful family, notice the picture on the website,- it's 15 minutes either direction from the cabins to hit the whole loop, perfect location, it's in the colder part of the loop so make sure you bring warm clothing. but in my opinion, it's the best part you're in the trees lots of trees. Sincerely, Chris Deets.

We love coming to the Reverse Creek Lodge! The A frame cabins are so cozy and have the best views! You can hear the creek from the balcony which is so nice! This time we went with a couple of friends and we all stayed in the A Frame cabins making this trip even more memorable! David and his family are always so kind and attentive. The rooms are not remodeled but I think it's what I love most abut them! Can't wait to come back!

My girlfriend and I booked a last minute cabin at reverse creek. Upon finding the website we had the expectation of it being a good rate for the area but were not expecting much since the website and photos were outdated. We were pleasantly surprised to find our cabin to be everything we could possibly need in a very cute and quaint setting. From the time of our arrival we were treated warmly by the staff, they were all nice and accommodating. The room was very clean and was supplied with lots of fresh towels, dishes, toiletries and even a bbq. A cozy fireplace kept the place warm at night and we always had hot water on demand. It's very close to June lake resort, a couple miles from downtown June and about 30min drive to mammoth ski resort. The only downfall we had was when it came to finding rides into town or to mammoth. There is no Uber/Lyft and Taxis were about $100 each way to mammoth. Also, there is no longer a shuttle service in town so that was not an option. Be prepared to have your own car and have a DD! We had an awesome stay and would recommend to friends and family looking for accommodations in the greater Mammoth area. Thanks Reverse Creek for a great stay. -Thomas & Allison

Such a fun trip this last weekend at Reverse Creek Lodge. My family and I stayed four nights and five days. The cabin is really nice and has everything you would need at home. Even cable and WiFi if your into that. David is a great host and tells you "if you need anything just ask. " Some tips would be to get a shower mat for the tub it's pretty slippery when soapy. The stair case on the cabin was very sketchy, so easy when waking up or having the kids run around. Don't forget your shampoo! There is a store within walking distance just in case.

Reverse Creek Lodge IS the place to stay when in the June Lake/ Yosemite area. It is the perfect spot! Our cabin was roomy and clean. The grounds are well maintained and the creek is made extra dreamy with the beautiful benches placed adjacent to it. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen being fully stocked with everything you need to prepare and store food was a true bonus! Definitely will be staying here again. David and his family have put their heart into this place and it shows.

wonderful experience, highly recommend this cute and cozy family owned lodge! Great Pricing! We will definitely be staying there again! TIP: Everything in town closes pretty early and options are limited so make sure and go grocery shopping before your trip or in Mammoth to supply the cabin with food, barbecue , snacks and wine etc. The cabin provides everything you need , Stove , Oven, utensils, China, gas barbecue ECT. Also I highly recommend calling reverse Creek Lodge directly for reservations ! They will most likely give you a better deal then you can get on hotel websites online and personally I prefer to make sure family owned businesses don't get cut on the profits. David the owner And Phillip the front desk guy were a please to work with , they seem like a wonderful family . I found this little gem on hotels.com then cross check them on yelp, my fiancé and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The cute little A-frame cabin faced the creek so we had the pleasure of the beautiful scenery and sounds of the water hitting the rocks down below. Personally I prefer staying in June Lake because it's only about 25 minutes from Mammoth snowboarding and it really makes you feel like you're away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. This lodge is so peaceful and serene. The owners also provide a beautiful equipped new gas barbecue on the deck of every Cabin/A frame home. They also supply fridge, coffee maker, utensils, plates, Cups, tons of white clean towels, soap , lots of blankets, hangers & dishwashing soap. To my surprise and delight The cabin also has flatscreen TV, DVD player, Netflix and cable channels with tons of options & YES WIFI !! FUN TIP: The double eagle resort and spa is just down the street and you can pay $20 for use of the spa amenities, pool, Jacuzzi!!!!

3 1/2. I like this place. The cabins are rustic and small, maybe just a little cramped depending on your level of comfort. We stayed in one of the single cabins. We weren't sure before we left how stocked the cabins would be; they say on the website, cabins come with a full kitchen and bath, no heat, but a gas fireplace. We packed light and in couple ways we were up a "reverse" creek (Har Har, I know). So I am writing this to help the next person know what to bring. Kitchen is well-stocked. Unlike some cabins, though, there are no condiments or spices, only salt and pepper. So bring sugar for coffee (There is a coffee machine with filters). Everything for basic dinner is included: measuring cups, knives, toaster, and tea kettle. There's also a small grill on the porch. Bathroom - only bar soap. No shampoo, etc. It was stocked with towels and had a good bathtub. Because the place is small, the gas fireplace provides plenty of heat; however, there was only one big electric blanket. I'm not a fan of wires in my blanket. I would suggest bringing a blanket if you want to wrap up with the cocoa. The staff was very kind and helpful. And the price was pretty typical ($100 night in fall 09). I would suggest this as a nice place for a small getaway for a couple or family (in the bigger cabins), but not a place for a special trip like a honeymoon or romantic vacation. The grounds were a little unkempt, but that's no big deal up in the mountain. The scenery around is quiet and peaceful. June Lake is a wonderful place to retreat to, the lakes and mountains, great people and skiing in the winter, make it one of my favorite all time places.

Highly recommend... Been staying here for over 5 years, always a great experience and treatment from the family owners. Good size and comfortable cabins. Small market across the road is a big plus. We really enjoy the BBQ grill in the patio with a nice view of the mountains. Reservations for 2019 already made, Can't wait!!

The place has such a cozy, nostalgic charm, you really feel like you're tucked away in a quiet mountain town, but still close to everything you need. The cottage was super clean and had everything we needed: a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and even a little fireplace that made the evenings feel extra special. The location couldn't be better, just a short walk to June Lake Marina, restaurants, a general store. We spent the day exploring the lakes and trails, and in the evening, we grilled outside with the kids. The whole vibe is very family-friendly and peaceful. It felt like a little mountain escape without having to "rough it." We'd definitely come back again, it's the kind of place you want to revisit every year. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet, comfortable, and charming place to stay in June Lake with kids!

The building is in a very walkable area. Check in was easy and the people who run the place seem sweet. Cons The walls are so thin that you hear EVERYTHING that your neighbors are doing. The first night I had to endure singing, loud talking, laughing, screaming for hours! My husband went and knocked on the door at 10:20 p.m. to ask the girls to quiet down, but it made no difference. The walls are just too thin. The second evening new people came who were just as loud, so we cut our trip short and just went home. Maybe the stand-alone cabins don't have this issue, but the cabin we were in shared walls and we heard every dog bark, toilet flush, phone conversation, etc. It wasn't very relaxing, and I felt like it put a damper on our vacation weekend. If noise doesn't bother you or you are in a stand-alone cabin, you will probably have a better experience than we did.

I always give places in small towns the benefit of the doubt but this time I thought I would voice my opinion........ We went to breakfast on 7/26 around 10:30am, there was 3 in our party and only 2 tables were occupied. It took 5 minutes to have anyone even greet us to get our drinks, at that time we already knew what we were having, so we ordered all at once. Food came out quickly which was nice. Never through the whole meal did we have anyone come ask how everything was, top off our drinks or ask if we needed anything. WOW I worked in the service industry for years and for a town that makes most their money off tourism I just did not think this was great customer service let alone expected it from a place I have ate at several times (in the bar side) Not sure if the person who took the payment was even our waitress, didn't get an itemized receipt to even see if we were charged correctly or got our discount for being a member. I would completely understand if it was busy and I am always willing to give some grace but this was awful service especially for a Saturday during the "busy" season. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars and not 1 is because we decided to come back for dinner as it is close to where we were staying and didn't have the energy to drive into town. Rob was the bartender and with all 4 tables occupied we sat at the bar and were greeted almost immediately and very well taken care of. Rob was extremely attentive and great at his job. I will probably only be back to the bar area as I have never had an issue with customer service on that side

When we were in route, we discovered the entire town of June Lake was without power and the motel never notified me. I only learned about the outage through social media, not from the motel staff. This wasn't a minor issue. I had my children and my dog with me, and I rely on an electrical medical device at night, so being without power was not an option. A simple call or email would have allowed me to make other plans before driving all the way there. Instead, I had to scramble to find last‑minute accommodations and ended up having to book another room in Mammoth, where there was power. This cost me extra money, extra stress, and completely derailed our trip. What made the situation even more frustrating is that the motel offered nothing no partial refund, no options, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience or safety concerns. They easily could have rented the room to younger guests or anyone willing to stay without power, but instead the responsibility fell entirely on me. I understand that they can't control a town‑wide power outage. But they can control communication and how they treat their guests. Unfortunately, that's where they fell short. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend June Lake Motel unless they significantly improve guest communication and show more responsibility during situations like this.

The cabin is a nice size for a couple, or maybe a small family, but to sleep 10?, I think it would be cramped. The fridge is a very small dorm room sized one. We could only get the front burners on the electric stove to work, and we didn't try the oven. The heater in the bathroom does not stay on,which is not great, when you go to take a shower and it's a VERY cold morning. One of the provided towels seemed to have some hard, blue stuff stuck to it. The toilet is...tilted. This is a little disconcerting if you have to get up to pee during the night and almost fall off of it! The bed in the downstairs bedroom is soft. VERY soft....and sinks into the middle. My husband and I basically kept rolling into each other all night and had to fight for space. The futon in the living room did not make for a very comfortable couch at all, and would take a SOUND sleeper to be able to sleep on it. The heater in the living room area seems to work well, and we didn't need the one in the bedroom as it seems to stay pretty warm if you keep the door closed. We were unable to use the wood burning stove as they only provide wood during the winter months, and we didn't feel like buying any. It would be great if we could have used it though. It got down into the low 40's to high 30's at night. The whole place needs updating as it looks like it came straight out of the 50's, but not in a cool, kitchy way. The railing on the deck...we get that nobody is suppose to climb on it,but when we even touched it, the entire railing wobbled Also, the screen on one of the doors was off the track, and no matter how many times we fixed it, it was just difficult to use. The tiny TV, had a sound restrictor on it, or something, as it was very quiet and sometimes impossible to hear. The remote did not work to turn it off or on. Now, the pros. The view of the mountains, out the back is beautiful. The deck, provided with some VERY old, plastic chairs and one lounger, was ok. Would have been nice to have a little table as well, so we had a secure place to put our coffee cups, during breakfast in the morning. The kitchen, though dated, is well stocked with dishes, utensils, cookware and cleaning supplies. There are barbeques, but no shade or places to eat or sit while bbqing. There IS WiFi, and the code was provided right in the cabin. It worked pretty well the entire time. The bathtub was large enough for me to stretch out in and soak in. There is a microwave, coffee maker and toaster also provided. The place was clean, but very dated. In summary, this is a housekeeping cabin. If you are looking for maid service, room service or other hotel resort type ammenities, this is NOT the place for you. This is more basic. We will consider returning IF some things, such as the bed, stairs and railings are fixed.

Instead, when we arrived, we got a 10 minute lecture about how there is no maid service, we can't use the wood burning stove, there's no paper towels for the kitchen (at least there's East German surplus toilet paper on hand), there's a drought in California, leave your car unlocked because of bears (what?), keep the curtains closed basically always, sweep before you leave, and on and on and on. Oh, and the entry steps and landing (which is 6 feet up) - I had to pray they wouldn't crumble beneath me because the wood is so rotten - who inspects these places? Helen Keller at night? I was actually nervous every time I would enter and exit the place - what a relaxing resort-style vacation this turned out to be. Full kitchen? Look closely at the picture on the website - there is a tiny dorm-sized refrigerator that didn't freeze water after three days of it sitting in the freezer section - and that's after I spent two hours of my vacation defrosting it. There's hardly any room for one person in the kitchen, and if someone wants something, it's a total hassle to get it. And the luxurious bed - my wife would blink and the mattress bounced so much I nearly flew out of the bed. Add to that the 1960's blanket made of who knows how much polyester and you have resort-level romance in the making. Not to mention the boot-camp instructions on the wall which read, "on your last day don't strip your bed" - what? So they can see if the sheets really need to be changed or just straightened out for the next guest? Ewwww. The picture shows a comfortable looking couch, but ours was an unyielding uncomfortable futon covered with another nasty old blanket. I couldn't get comfortable while watching the 17 inch old-fashioned TV. Also, no Wi-Fi - lemme check. Yup. It's 2014. Need I say more. The entire "resort" is in disrepair and shabby. Weed growth between buildings. Parking area nothing but dirt and stones (not gravel). Solitary BBQ sitting across parking area with no seating or picnic table or anything. I like how Wikipedia puts it: "In North American English, the term "resort" is now also used for a self-contained commercial establishment which attempts to provide for most of a vacationer's wants while remaining on the premises, such as food, drink, lodging, sports, entertainment, and shopping. The term may be used to identify a hotel property that provides an array of amenities and typically includes entertainment and recreational activities". Now, take the opposite of Wiki's definition and you have The Four Season's June Lake.
