The moments I first spoke with Kim at Impulsive Flowers, I knew we had found the perfect florist. My son's fiance' was having a difficult time when the local vendors were not returning calls. Kim was immediately responsive, so personable, and her vast experience was evident. We sent photos of the look that we hoped to create and Kim (and crew) captured it perfectly. Impulsive Flowers handled the flowers for our rehearsal dinner, the wedding venue, and the reception venue as well. She was timely, professional and came prepared for almost anything. She even tried to improve the walls behind an arrangement to ensure that the photographs would look good (above and beyond!) As this was a destination wedding and I had never seen the venue, Kim took it upon herself to visit the site to take measurements and provide opinions for what would be best. I really appreciated that. We also planned to reuse some of the flowers from the rehearsal dinner to the next day, and Kim brought in extra flowers to potentially freshen up any flowers that had suffered from the heat. It's late Easter morning and I totally forgot to arrange for an Easter lily to be delivered to DH's moms in PB *gasp*! I recently had a horrible experience with a 1-800-Flowers-type outfit and learned my lesson to ALWAYS "go local" for this sort of thing. Like when you buy cookies. Gave these gals a call. They were out of the lilies (expected and understandable) but they had my second request: daffodils; specifically, "Something with daffodils, Mom-ish, spring-y". Moms received them 20 minutes after I hung up the phone. I know this because she called us immediately to rave about them - and emailed us a photo, too, which I posted. Wow! Ask for some daffodils, and I get an entire garden of fragrant freshness strategically stuffed into a nice-quality heavy vase instead of a pickle jar. Very well done, Impulsive Flowers! I started planning my wedding in October/Nov 2019 and planned to have my original date May 2, 2020. I contacted a few florists in the Mammoth area, but knew many probably were not availabe due to it being less than a year out. Kim from Impulsive Flowers was available, and long story, short, I am so happy I went with her for my wedding that finally took place August 2021. Best way to contact her is through text or calling. We talked on the phone several times and I personally met her a few times days before the wedding. The flowers that I originally wanted were not available last minute, so 2 weeks before the wedding, I was scrambling to find something else, but Kim offered many suggestions. The fires of 2021 affected some shipments of flowers, so one week before, she found another alternative. I sent her so many pictures of the look I was going for. She literally recreated and brought the images in my mind to life. I was blown away the moment I saw my arch and wedding reception. We were afraid the arch and florals on the arch would not withstand the wind down by the lake, but with her creativity, there were no problems. Not only is it extremely overpriced, but they had nothing ready- I wish that they would have some nice bouquets that you can pick from (especially on a big holiday like this), or you can also build your own. I'm getting used to receiving flowers from the boy, usually already arranged in bouquets, but we were driving by PB today and he saw Impulsive Flowers and wanted to stop and get some. I wouldn't say these flowers are "overpriced" but they look better than ones in the store and definitely cost more, as you pay per flower. You have to build your own, so an arrangement you pick out that doesn't look empty and sad may cost you more than a regular bouquet from Ralph's or Trader Joes. The person working there was very friendly. She arranged the flowers the boy picked out and quickly cut, tied, and wrapped them in brown paper with a ribbon. That definitely added a charm towards this bouquet over others! Not bad, especially if you don't mind spending the money. Two stargazers and a few of my gerber daisies (my fav) plus two of those long fern looking stems (I'm obviously no expert) and that was around $16. I was in town on vacation over Valentine's Day, and made a special order from Impulsive a few weeks in advance. Not having ever done business with them I was a little nervous, but they came through with a really great arrangement done to my specifications. The arrangement of orchids and bromeliads put a smile on my wife's face and looked really great. A week later it is still holding up and makes our rental into a much nicer place. 2/14 is a busy day for florists, and there was a minor hitch in my order but Impulsive set things right and I am completely satisfied with their work. read more

I have been blown away by the customer service at Impulsive Flowers. I first contacted them in early February to create an arrangement for my partner's birthday. I was hoping for poppies but would settle for orchids. Heather wasn't sure if she'd be able to get them at this time of year but said she would try. A few hours later, I received an email from her letting me know that she wasn't able to get the poppies but that she had good options in the store. She then attached PICTURES of many different types of flowers (orchids, tulips, anemones, ranucs, etc.) that they had in the store so that I could take my pick. I ended up going with deep blue orchids that arrived to my partner in a breathtaking arrangement. I don't live in San Diego but Impulsive Flowers and Heather did an amazing job of making me feel personally involved in the process. Can't believe the unprofessionalism of this place. I placed an order through flowersfromyou.com. These were meant to cheer up a friend who has just lost a parent. I was so impressed that the arrangement was delivered within two hours, however when she sent the pic and a thx I realized there were no roses in the arrangement. We paid for the premium and it was supposed to include some pretty lavender roses, not one was to be found. I called the website customer service and was told the florist would be contacted and this would be rectified by sending a new arrangement the following day. To my dismay and embarrassment I get a text saying that the florist is demanding the old flowers back before they deliver the appropriate one. Was she expected to leave work, drive an hour to and from home to retrieve said flowers and return them to these people? She had no clue they would be delivering new flowers!!! (I was never informed that the condition for the new delivery was an exchange!) The delivery girl shows up to her place of employment demanding the old flowers before she leaves the new and improved arrangement, which was smaller than the previous, has to be asked by management to wait outside due to her rude and inappropriate behavior. In the end she left the new one and told my grieving friend in a very rude manner to keep the old ones,"compliments of the manager"!!!! Needless to say "Impulsive Flowers" is a complete and utter disappointment!!!! read more

Wow!! Our daughter just got married in Mammoth. Kim did our flowers and garlands exactly as we dreamed! She REALLY listened to us, and REALLY heard us!! They turned out even better than we hoped. Colors and loose, lovely arrangements and garlands were perfect! The bouquets were unbelievable. Everyone was commenting on them. Our daughter was thrilled. On top of the sheer perfection of the product she delivered, Kim was a pleasure to work with, easy to connect with, and she and her assistants went above and beyond. They helped decorate the Parallax for our reception, and added stunning aisle flowers at Forest Chapel with leftover roses and greenery. She and the wedding coordinator added charming little floral touches all throughout the venues. Even I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in that night! I am lucky enough to receive these amazing flowers quite often. My boyfriend always sends me impulsive flowers and every time I see a new bouquet it's impossibly more beautiful than the last. I am currently looking at the most gorgeous assortment of colored roses i have ever seen sitting on my desk as a "just thinking of you" :) They almost look fake they are so perfect. The flowers always last a long time and show up in very healthy conditions. Wanted a single rose and got the prettiest rose I ever saw for cheap :)

Absolute NO! I ordered on their website and have an email confirming delivery on Saturday, 9/24. The recipient tells me it was not delivered to him. I waited until 9/26 before I called Impulsive just incase something went wrong. After numerous tries due to a busy phone, I finally got ahold of someone. she explains they "jobbed" my order out because they do not deliver to that part of San Diego. That sure would have been nice to know instead of getting a delivery confirmation. She tells me they have a delivery confirmaiton from the company they had fulfill the order, but they are closed so she will have to check tomorrow (now today) and call me back tomorrow (now today). As of 8pm, PST I have not heard back from them on the number I gave her to call me at. So, I called them this evening 15 minutes before their closing time posted on their web site. I tried both numbers listed. Both rang forever and no one answered. They do not offer an option to leave a message. So, the reicipient will most likely stop by their shop tomorrow for me (I live 1,500 miles away) to see where his delivery is. Poorest service I have experienced in a long time! read more
