DO NOT HIRE THIS VENDOR FOR YOUR WEDDING. Patricia at Red Lily overbooks herself. She will not give you the attention you deserve on one of the most important details of your wedding. She is the most awful person to deal with leading up to your wedding. I could not get in contact with her hardly at all, so little to the point where I had no idea what flowers I was getting until I saw them setup in the venue spaces. I tried texting, calling, and emailing multiple times on each platform and did not get a response. She also hasn't updated her website to display her current email address. She clearly can't handle running a business. She overcharged us - even after I gave her final details on our event order which resulted in the wrong flowers being assembled. THE BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY AND HASSEL - except maybe for working with the wedding coordinators at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. This whole town needs to get a clue. Our wedding this last weekend would never have been so beautiful without Patricia. The flowers she put together were the most beautiful flowers we've ever seen! She is insanely talented, kind and easy to work with. I gave her a couple of ideas and colors and had her run with it she blew our minds! If I could carry my wedding bouquet around with me everywhere I go I would. Everything from the table centerpieces to the boutineers to the ceremony setup was perfect. Not only that, we had to ship my bouquet to a preservation company on Monday when we would be traveling. I'm a little surprised by the reviews here. We paid $4200 to Red Lily for my daughter's wedding in Mammoth. She charged $500 just for setup at ceremony site and reception site. Maybe 2 hours work. The flowers themselves were ok but when I opened the bag with the boutonnieres I was very underwhelmed. During our rehearsal a florist was setting up for another wedding and I was thrilled with their work, I assumed for what we just paid the results would be similar... not even close. When my daughter tried to pay her with a credit card she explained she'd have to jack the price even higher so I received a tearful phone call from my daughter the day before the wedding asking me to write a check. I'm glad I brought a checkbook but it blew the budget. To top it off the florist called the day after the wedding, which was wonderful except for Red Lily, and wanted even more than the $4200 already paid her! I hope this helps someone else looking for a florist for their Mammoth wedding. read more

When my husband and I first met Patricia to talk about what we wanted for our Mammoth wedding, we were excited. She seemed to know exactly what we wanted, and even put together a bouquet right in front of us while talking. The day of the wedding however, I wasn't as happy. My bouquet that I wanted to be white was more yellow. All of the flowers were beautiful, but not quite what I was expecting. The biggest problem we had was the miscommunication, so be sure to put in writing exactly what is expected. My husband I and wanted, and thought we paid, for her to take the flowers from the ceremony to the reception. We remember having a conversation about it. Unfortunately, my in-laws had to worry about trucking huge buckets of baby's breath to the reception. The big floral arrangement at the top of the alter stayed at Forest Chapel all night instead of being brought to The Mill. When my mother-in-law addressed the problems, she was told that WE were responsible for taking the flowers to and from. Was I supposed to climb up a latter in a wedding dress to transfer the expensive floral piece? Patricia agreed to refund $125, but that doesn't erase the fact that my in-laws spent a good portion of their evening dealing with flowers. My mother-in-law is still waiting for the refund. Patricia will do a great job at making your wedding beautiful, but be sure to get all of the expectations in writing prior to your big day. read more

Planning a destination wedding is difficult, but with her recommendations for local service providers and familiarity with working with the mountain, our wedding went off without a hitch. Since shipping to Mammoth can be prohibitively expensive, she even allowed me to purchase some of my materials in downtown LA, bring them up to her, and she was kind enough to store the boxes, take everything up the gondola, and do all the setup. I should start by saying that I planned my June Lake, California wedding... from the East Coast. I was referred to Red Lily, by a friend that lives in the area. Patricia was GREAT from the start. I didn't have a clue what I was doing.... when to order flowers, what kind of flowers I wanted, how many centerpieces I needed... etc. Patricia totally made me feel at ease... I never had to worry or stress because I knew she understood what my ideas were and was going to make it happen! We picked up our centerpieces the day before the wedding, as they could be stored at the venue... The day of the wedding, I was able to pick up my bouquet and I was in AWWW.... All I told Patricia, was that I wanted it to be round, no draping flowers, no fillers and wrapped in ribbon. Very descriptive right? I did send her a picture of my dress, as if that may help with design. She made it happen! My bouquet was bigger than my waist and exactly what I wanted!!!! I had the idea for my arch that included HUGE flower balls on each side, once I figured out the price of each side, it was out of our budget... However, Patricia was able to come up with the most beautiful flower pieces for the arch!!! Oh and we were able to move them in to decorate our cake table after the ceremony! We took a large amount of our flowers back to our suite and I decorated every room with flowers, which was a bonus because I got to enjoy them for the days following the wedding!!! I was so happy on my wedding day with all the flower arrangements, and the peonies were my favorite, along with the succulents. Patricia did a great job and kuddos to her for being the only floral shop in Mammoth. It's not easy to maintain gorgeous flowers throughout the seasons there. Mostly dying and slanted over and she put PINK in not just mine, but everyone's bouquet!! I HATE pink and you do not see pink in any of the pictures I chose. Pink also did not match any of the bridesmaid dresses so this was very upsetting to find out a few minutes before I walked down the aisle. She also made ME (the bride) pick up all of the bouquets through a blizzard and she was nowhere to be found!! Why couldn't she just drop off the flowers at our venue to make my life easier?! Patricia is amazing. I planned my wedding from LA and was a little stressed about booking a flower vendor a bit late in my planning. Patricia had more than several weddings on the day of my wedding and at first was not able to accommodate me.
