What a great new place to meet friends! We were there the other night and we were pretty impressed. As soon as we got out of our car we could smell the food and we were not disappointed once we got inside! Positives...our dishes were tasty, and a cut above a chain. Servers & staff were all really great. View, if you have one, is nice. Large capacity & lots of roomy booths to seat 6. Negatives...ambiance is one-dimensional & cheaply done. You could see it in our fellow diners, who all seemed as unsmiling and grim as the decor. Everything is hardscape, rust or brown, with no softening touches & only tiny spots of color, off to the side. (Two nice paintings off to the side, & a fun turquoise motorcycle in the large waiting area. That was it.) Empty, rough brick ledges covered most of our dining area. They need plants, colorful pottery, reflective surfaces....something to brighten the area & relieve the tension of so much sharp, sloppy brickwork. Maybe colorful pendant lights? The environment feels cold instead of warm & cozy. Looks as though they rushed construction and left the design up to the laborers. Not in a good way. The outdoor patio, though large, is gray & brown only, on rock floors, with no balancing, refreshing touches anywhere. Think prison yard. Restroom was atrocious, everyone entering commented on how strangely dark & dim it was. An attempt at coolness minus quality or artistic vision. Stall doors hard to secure, toilets slow to refill & confusing to flush. (Explaining why some were not.) Someone thought mine shaft bathrooms were pleasing? The owners need to hire qualified designers/decorators to make this place feel pleasant & uplifting. We will likely return for the food, but will not bring guests or recommend unless they fix the overkill, undecorated issue. Owners clearly thought rust everywhere was enough, and it's not. For their investment to survive, they will hopefully correct these poorly thought-out decor features. Good restaurants in this area are rare, & it would be a shame to lose this one. read more

We have been waiting for this restaurant to open. We went for our anniversary. We got sat in the bar after making a reservation. Asked to be moved and they did so no problem. The food was okay, service was good, and it had a loud atmosphere. Not what we were excepting. We will probably not be going back. read more

First I was greeted by friendly staff holding the door open for me and helping find my tinder date ( when I forgot his name .. oops :) When we were seated I was nervous and awkward but the waitress was so friendly and fun that she broke the ice for us. I have diet requirements and really wanted the hamburger since they didn't have a gluten free bun option they made the hamburger wrapped in lettuce and I have to tell you it was one the best burgers I've ever had!!! The meat was absolutely amazing it didn't need a bun! Not only was our waitress friendly the other waitresses nearby were kind and beautiful! Who ever does the hiring here does an amazing job !! I went to Sierra yesterday, Dec 16th my bday. The food was good, the best baby backs I have eaten in a long time, Cajun shrimp was very good, and the fish tacos were also good. Oh, and the grilled fried asparagus was excellent. The only reason 4 stars is the menu is a little strange, maybe eclectic is the word and small, cannot quite tell what type of restaurant they want to be. I wanted a baked potato with my ribs, no such luck. I will go again just for the ribs. read more

Gorgeous decor with a casual, industrial, yet romantic vibe. Our server Juan was outstanding and had a command of the menu after just a short time since the restaurant has opened. Excellent appetizers, chicken tortilla soup fresh and tasty, house salad with blue cheese dressing was fresh and worth every penny, West Texas spaghetti with a spicy pepper kick excellent, halibut with asparagus and mashed potato superb too! Nice menu, professional wait staff, modern open kitchen, bar area gorgeous too with views, so nice to have you in this area. No need to drive into Denver for a restaurant of this caliber! read more

The food and service was good. Cocktails are good but overpriced. However, the reason I will never go back again is because of the manager. We stopped by to grab a late lunch and set at the bar. We looked at the menu and set them down in front of us waiting to place our order. The manager walked behind the bar, picked up the menus and replace them with new ones. I assumed the were swtiching from lunch to dinner menu which was still rude to do so withoutt saying a word. But when I picked up the menu it was the same only with higher prices. Really??? The overpriced margarita I was drinking increased a dollar while I was sitting there and the salad I was going to order increased. In shock I questioned the manager's actions and she gave me a song and dance about how the recipe had changed and was rude. The bartender standing there was as apalled as we were. This had a nice atmosphere except when the sun was setting, and it was in our eyes and there was a glare off the windows?? Shades and anti glare?? The chili rellenos were disappointing. They were a fried cheese egg roll. I'm not sure where the chili was?? The green chili was okay. These are probably the same dishes as their Mexican downtown restaurant, but probably double the price since this in Lone tree. We'll try it again but order something else. read more

This is really a great place. Bartenders are professional and are experts at any drink you ask for. Food is incredible! But, we were overcharged quit a bit on our fillet steaks as we realized after we got home and looked at our receipt The fillet steaks were super tiny for the large price we were charged. Let me start by saying the restaurant is GORGEOUS! Absolutely beautiful. The vibe of the menu is confusing...maybe "southwestern, wood-fired food" is the theme? I thought my food was good, not great, but definitely overpriced. I had the chicken enchiladas (pretty good), my husband had the Chile rellenos (pretty good) and my mother had a Caesar salad with chicken (smallish and disappointing). I would love to see a restaurant make it in this amazing space, but I can't see myself going back to spend that kind of money on dishes we could have at any avg Tex-Mex joint. read more

The service was good. The chicken diablo sandwich was great with fingerling potatoes. It was over priced at $15.00 though. My wife had the ribs and that was completely an opposite experience. The BBQ sauce has too much molasses which makes it more like candy, and when it's toasted on ribs it's awful. The corn bread that comes with it taste like enchiladas, not good. The slaw also had a funny flavor. Also, the atmosphere of the restaurant is lacking. The entire restaurant is bricked and has nothing to make it comforting. Probably will not go back. Blah. Nothing special. Cornbread was so dry, one could choke on it. Drinks were good, service was good. For the $25 rack of ribs, cardboard cornbread, and run of the mill coleslaw, it would have been nice to at least have a damp towelette at the end of the meal. Don't waste your money. Cherry Creek Grill runs circles around this place for less money. Very disappointed. read more

Came here for dinner with the girls and really enjoyed it. The view is beautiful and we were glad to have a table by the window. Cocktails were good (jalapeno margaritas). We had dinner for 6 last night. It was our second visit and we celebrated the birthday of my son. His dad, who lives in Spain, wanted to surprise him with a bottle of champagne - the manager Thomas Wilson - arranged for payment and bottle ready on our table. Our server - Leah - was excellent too. Thank you Sierra for a beautiful, high end restaurant in our area! My wife and I have been here twice and will give it a third try when the lovely patio opens (soon I hope!) Our first visit was the best. It was dark outside and that made the restaurant really beautiful inside and out. We scored a nice booth and our server was very personable and knew the menu well. Jen ordered the New York Strip and I wanted the roasted half chicken. I started with the beautifully presented wedge salad. The food came atypically quick and her steak was under cooked, quite rare. I sent it back to finish and they handled that with eloquence! She took my chicken back as well and replated both. We loved both dishes and everything was well presented. The next was early evening and still light out. It was busy at 5pm. All the dishes we were wanting to order from our first visit were off the menu. Definitely a different vibe the second time around, but still very good. read more

my family and i were celebrating my birthday. very disappointed in food quality and service. it took an hour to get our food on a wednesday night. the hamburger was served with mayonnaise and mustard which were not listed on the menu and the party that ordered was allergic to both. the cheese enchiladas were so cold and tough you couldn't cut them with a fork. the chile rellanos were also tough and cold. it took 15 minutes to get a margarita. won't be back. read more

I made my parents a reservation for my moms birthday here on Sunday. Their RESERVATION was at 1:45 pm on Super Bowl Sunday and when they got there the hostess would not seat them. I had the opportunity to grab drinks and dinner this past weekend and I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. We had the rib eye tacos and guacamole appetizer and they were great. For dinner I had the rib eye steak and it was ridiculously good! Ton of flavor! My wife had the Halibut and she loved it.
