We stayed at the towne place by Marriott which is right next to Sierra and walked over. There are lots of options for food and drinks. We ordered the chicken sandwich, which was huge and excellent. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were awesome. Played some games with Shawn, the bartender and told us some funny jokes. We had a great time. Was excited to try this place out after all the hype about La Loma. Unfortunately, there are still some things to be worked out. The decor was nice. Didn't particularly think the paintings fit in with the rest of the theme, but that's just me being picky. They've been open for three days yet didn't have the wine we ordered in stock. Either they only have a few to begin with and sold out or, more likely, placed it on the menu even though they never even had it. Nevertheless, we got a different bottle but weren't as satisfied with it. Our server seemed like he needed some more training as well- didn't really know the dishes or the menu. The food was okay- nothing to write home about. I was expecting something that I wouldn't be able to think of or make at home, but the dishes we had were generic meat and potato kind of food. The fish was a bit overcooked, but otherwise everything was decent- just not interesting. If I'm paying to go out to eat, I want to be wowed. I'll try this place again, but so far wouldn't recommend it if anyone asked. 4/5 only because I do want to see them succeed and I don't want anyone to base their decision to go off my picky opinions, but definitely go in there with a critical eye and I think you'll agree that they have to try a little harder. Updated: gave them a second try and definitely won't return. The waitstaff was much improved this time around, more knowledgeable and friendly. However, they forgot some stuff in our order but we weren't charged so not thrilled but okay, mistakes happen. The thing that really set me off was the fact that they continue to list wines on their menu that they've never had in stock. Asked for the same bottle of wine- big surprise- didn't have it. At first the manager (Charles) tried saying it was sold out. We called him out on it saying we had been there before and they didn't have it and his story quickly changed to "yeah we've been having a hard time getting it in stock." No apology, big attitude and nothing to remedy the situation. If you are just opening a restaurant, I'd expect some decent customer service and at least some sort of apology, not an attitude. The food was good, but again- nothing to write home about. Unfortunately, wouldn't call this the best restaurant in Lone Tree by a long shot. Also, the hostess stand is very poorly thought out. The hostesses stand with their backs turned to patrons, answering phones instead of helping customers. Nobody knows who has arrived first so there's no order to serving people. Just a mess really. This place has so much potential but management and the other things I've mentioned have to change in order for it to succeed. read more

I wanted so bad to love this place but honestly the pretentious vibe given by the staff ruined it from the start. When we arrived it was during happy hour (which we weren't aware of at the time), however we weren't asked where we would like to sit. Then once sat we asked if there were any drink specials to which we were told about a boozy egg nog. Only after over hearing from another table that it was happy hour we asked our server for more details. Our server said she didn't think it was happy hour and left our table to ask someone. We then had to pull up the website and find the menu and yes in fact it was happy hour so we asked to order 2 drinks and an app as part of happy hour. Our server than informed us that because of where we were sitting we weren't allowed to have anything off the happy hour menu.... Confusing? Yes I'd say so. Why would only part of the restaurant be offered drink & appetizer specials yet you aren't asked where you'd like to sit. Never did our server offer to make it right or ask if we'd like to move. We had come in to celebrate and ended up only staying since we had already placed our food order & didn't want to be rude by leaving. To add more fuel to the experience our server was completely different with the table behind us. Attentive, checked in and asked about their day. We unfortunately did not get that same experience, instead she gave us all the impression she'd rather not have us there. read more

The atmosphere and ambiance is nice however the price of the food vs the portion size was disappointing to say the least. The food was moderate to good but the meal is more like a kids meal. We got their authentic Texas spaghetti ($15)and the portion was about 1 1/2 cups and the Louisiana killer Shrimp came with 5-6 shrimp and a small round of coconut rice ($23). Pasta has to be the most inexpensive food to make and for that small amount with little sauce?!? No Thankyou!! We left starving and still hungry. As far as drinks, go elsewhere. 1/2 glass of the least expensive red wine cost $9 . It's too bad as it's a great location away from busy businesses but the price was not worth the food served. read more

I have a built-in timer, tells me if we're being served at the correct speed (drinks, apps, entree) All was done at a good speed, and they were very busy on a Friday night, so, well done. I was very excited to try Sierra Grill. Our 30 minute wait turned into 50 minutes when we finally got seated the service was much faster paced and well done. With four of us there we got a Caesar Salad, Ribs, Louisiana Shrimp, and Green Chili Mac and Cheese. All four dishes were just "okay" at best. For dessert we split the Texas Chocolate Cake and the Bread Pudding. The Bread Pudding was quite good. The cake was dry and not very flavorful. Overall the experience was sub par at best and the $105 bill was very disproportionate to the meal experience. read more

Went for dinner the other night. We had to wait for an hour but they were pretty busy. The bar was super busy. Seemed like the hot spot to be on a Friday night. Food was delicious. I had the halibut, my hubby had a chicken sandwich and my daughter had Mac and cheese. Everything tasted great. I took home a strawberry short cake which was a biscuit with strawberry sauce basically. It was good but was not really all that impressed with it. We will be going back and next time we will get reservations. There were a lot of other choices on the menu that we want to try. read more

I would have given this restaurant 5 stars in the past but unfortunately, not anymore. We have eaten here many times in the last 3 or so years and loved this restaurant until most recently. Sad to say given the situation all restaurants have faced with this pandemic! The last few times we have eaten there we have had issues with the food being prepared as ordered. This past Saturday evening was just not acceptable. We ordered the chicken tortillas soup which is usually deliciously hot. Not this time. The soup was barely warm. I sent it back. It was returned to me, obviously microwaved. The avocado which I had cut into bite sized pieces prior to sending it back were still in the soup and had been microwaved. The tortilla strips which were on the top of the soup had been left in while it was microwaved. Hence, the strips were soggy! I ate the soup but was very disappointed that they would leave the avocado and tortilla strips in the soup during the heating process. Most disappointing and totally unacceptable, however, was the salmon I ordered with my salad was raw and cold in the center. Not cooked enough. I have had the salmon many times and know that the salmon is typically undercooked and it is usually delicious. This particular piece of salmon was barely cooked on the outside and completely raw and cold on the inside. I told the waitress that it was not cooked properly and she told me what I already know about how they cook salmon. I informed her that I knew that and had had the salmon many times. This time, it was simply not cooked! She took the dish and the manager returned it a few minutes later. It had been microwaved!!!!! Are they kidding????? Absolutely not acceptable. Not sure we will be dining at this restaurant again! read more

Haven't been to the actual restaurant yet due to The Rona but I ordered thru WeDeliverLoneTree.com which is great. The food was The Bomb! Ordered the grilled artichoke which was one of the best I've had, the other is in New Mexico...long story. The Chili Rellano and Green Chili are also very good. I was staying at a hotel across the street for just one night and was looking for something to eat and in 19 degree weather, this was my closest and best option. The Yelp! reviews weren't that great so I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. I don't eat a lot of meat and the menu was pretty meat-centric so I ended up ordering the fingerling potatoes and a side of asparagus. They were both delicious and done perfectly. The bartender (I sat at the bar) made me a great recommendation for a glass of red wine that I loved. I thought my meal was delicicous and the service was great. I have a few more trips to Colorado planned and I won't hesitate to visit Sierra again for a meal and a glass of wine. read more

New fav restaurant! We heard mixed reviews about this place. People saying it's over priced, service bad, etc. gave it a few months after it opened before we finally gave it a try. The building is so cool. Huge patio and bar, can't wait to come here during the summer. The view was amazing inside. The server was extremely friendly and the manager asked us before our dinner arrived if we could move closer to the window (a larger party needed our table). Not only did we get a round of free drinks for doing so our view just got better by moving. If you go you must try the halibut. Best I've ever had. My husbands rib eye was just as amazing, tender and so much flavor. The pricing seemed reasonable for the food we got. And the Paloma drink was amaze balls. Def will be back!!! read more

Del Taco fare at Del Friscos prices. Maybe slightly exaggerating but not by much. Everything on the menu is overpriced. Fajitas were very average. Artichoke (you get one but they pluralize the menu) was below average. Rellenos were good but cheap deep fried goody cheese in a shell, like you would get in a sports bar. Not a good view at all, facing the wrong way! They got the cabellas crowd suckered in. This place wont last long. read more

The ambiance of the place was top notch! Real gas torches outside was beautiful as soon as we walked in. Our dining experience was for my wife's special birthday. I noted for my wife's birthday and front receptionist acknowledged. I have been to a lot of 5-star top rated restaurants, and this was one of them by its ambiance. But, most important item to consider for the restaurant is the food. We ordered Gold Coast Sashimi as an appetizer, Kale salad, baby back ribs for my wife and Louisiana Killer Shrimp for myself and Beignets as our desert. Except for the Kale salad, all dishes were salty in flavor. Sashimi had soy source based, it was salty. Baby Back Ribs had salty bbq sauce on top of very good size and quality baby back ribs. My shrimp had dark Cajun sauce with white rice, shrimps were dipped into the sauce and were very salty. All dishes were very salty that literally ruined our special day. Top of that, the desert, Beignets was a fake. Beignets supposed to have donuts over powdered sugar over them. Waiter brought out the several small donuts without the powdered sugar over them. What the heck! 5-star restaurant doesn't know how to make Beignets. Such with high rating restaurant and with high quality of food ingredients, basic sauce is salty enough to ruin the perfectly good dishes..... read more

Been there a few times and was looking forward to siting outside on a nice day. The opportunity came up last time we were there. We sat on the patio on the far west side by the wall. Regrettably - the smell of waste water didn't allow us to enjoy our meal - the thought of it still makes my stomach turn. The food is not special but the location is beautifully designed. It is pricey but if the full experience was as good as the design of the venue it would be worth it. Just having a difficult time returning after our last experience. read more

We had a group of 6 celebrating birthdays on a Thursday night. Horrible service! We were told as we walked in they didn't have a table big enough for all of us and we would have to split up. She then tells us she can fit us in a booth and proceeds to walk us to a room FULL of empty tables. We asked about happy hour and were told that if we wanted happy hour we were at the wrong place. Snobby, unfriendly atmosphere--we left after one drink and will not be back! read more

It was really dry and squeaky when chewed. The artichoke appetizer lacked soul and was pretty well under cooked. Our cocktails were ok and the ambiance/views are spectacular, so I gave 3 stars.
