We celebrated my husband's birthday here on Saturday night. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful and we got a seat next to the window which had an amazing view. Megan was our server and she was wonderful. It was our first time at Sierra and she had tons of great recommendations. We had the ahi tuna crisps and wood fired artichoke appetizers and shared the mixed grill fajitas for our main course. Really bad service. We there last night and the food was good once I got it but nothing to brag about. When seated we waited about 15 minuets to see the wait person we gave him the entire order and then waited 20 for our drinks and 40 for our food I will never come back. read more

My wife and I celebrated our three year anniversary at Sierra and it was a lovely evening! We made reservations and asked for a window seat when checking in and they were able to make it happen. Our server Alexis was on point. She made the conversation fun, was very attentive without being over bearing, and was very sweet to us the entire time. The food was awesome and the wine was just as good. When we left every employee we walked by said goodbye with a smile regardless of what they were doing at the time. Highly recommend! read more

Have been wanting to try Sierra for a while now, but had the opportunity to go recently. We had a great table with a view. The food was great (try the woodfired artichoke!), drinks were great, but the service was phenomenal. Food was decent. Nothing to write home about. The menu is very overpriced. Not paying for the food so much as the cool decor, view and atmosphere. The service was good, but the restaurant seems a bit out of place in terms of the vibe and location. Somewhat upscale- but in the Cabela's parking lot. If you want the ambience hands down 5 stars! If you want a culinary food experience 2 stars. If you want a good place to hang for a few drinks and an appetizer 1 star. The prices here do not match the food or service. Please, please, please revise the liquor/ wine menu. $11 a glass of wine??? Walking out of there with just a few drinks and appetizer will feel like you just left a high end steak house. There were four of us that went out to try this place for the first time. We all normally travel and eat out for work and were dissatisfied in the price versus quality of food here. Really just an overpriced Chili's looking for its place in chain-ridden Lone Tree. It's obvious this restaurant caters to the higher end crowd, so at least bring your food up to speed. Don't know how this place stays in business. Have gone several times. First I had a hair in my food which they took care of. Second time we were there at lunch and the food is just mediocre. Third time my son-in-law took us there for my daughters birthday. There were 7 of us and we had a reservation. Had to wait a good half hour and there was no one else waiting. Again n the food was just so so! After being seated we had to wait a long time for anyone to acknowledge we were even there. We had gifts so it was obvious it was a celebration and the waitstaff never said anything. Usually in other restaurants get a free dessert for at least the birthday person. Nothing! Won't be back. I am pushing it on the three stars! The restaurant is stunning and seems to be well thought out. The parking lot is not large enough to accommodate this restaurant so plan to park and walk from Cabela's. We were seated 15 minutes after our 5:45 reservation-this place is busy! We were seated next to an ordering station - distracting and busy. The menu is pretty weird - looks like everyone who had an opinion got to add their selections to the menu. From spaghetti to chips and guacamole to halibut. We were confused and asked our server what the food theme is suppose to be and she said "kind of Mexican". Our server was not great! She never poured our wine after opening the bottle. On top of that our wine glasses were not very clean and she did not notice. The food arrived very quickly - we ordered halibut, rib eye and the tenderloin at our table. It was good. It didn't wow us however. No one really seemed to care. Service was very sub par. They didn't ask if we wanted any additional drinks. We were there for a birthday and our server never acknowledged it - even though they asked at the time of the reservation. I would recommend this restaurant if you want the ambience but not for food or service. They need to make changes to their menu and step up their service. With the wine and three entrees our bill was 150.00 before tip. We decided we will try it one more time! Hope I can write an improved review. read more

omg - finally a nice sit-down restaurant that is close to the office! came here for lunch with a colleague on wednesday and was blown away by how beautiful the restaurant is! they really did a nice job of incorporating recycled bricks, open windows, metal structures, an open kitchen, gorgeous bar area, and outdoor patio space into one place. you get nice open views from all the sitting areas, as well, which is awesome. prices are a little on the high end imho - i had a kale salad ($12) and added chicken ($7), my friend had the salmon with coconut rice dish ($26) and we shared the chips with guac and salsa appetizer. after tax n tip it was an $80 for the two of us, which i thought was pricey for the experience. however, we got really warm and friendly service, and the restaurant was gorgeous, so i think i would go back! :) read more

This is the sister restaurant to my childhood favorite, La Loma. There have been rumors about this place opening for years and years, and when it finally open, I was excited to try it. I loved Sierra! Absolutely stunning architecture and beautiful inside with good service. It is EXPENSIVE, but delicious. I got the chile rellaños (since I'm totally addicted to Mexican food), and my friend had a burger. He is somewhat of a "burger enthusiast" and said that the burger at Sierra ranked in his top five. We went during lunch on a Thursday and it was packed! There was a 20 minute wait, so we sat at the bar. The bar service was good. Nothing to complain about, but nothing exceptional. The ambience is wonderful and definitely romantic. They spared no detail with the architecture and it is filled with bright light and tons of big windows. If it wasn't so expensive, I would become a regular here! read more

We ate at the bar and really enjoyed the ambience. The staff was super friendly and managed to come by just often enough to meet your needs but not so often as to be aggravating. The petite chili rellenos were excellent as an appetizer. For the main course I had the Santa Fe Enchiladas with chicken and my wife had the kale salad with shrimp. She said the salad was excellent. I enjoyed the enchiladas but they were shy of living up to the Santa Fe claim. read more

At 7p they had no salmon or halibut. They were already out. Another steak dish only available after 5 was also already out. Our server wasn't the best. After asking for something she immediately forgot to bring it. Our steak was not prepared as asked for, but to their credit, the manager comp'd it. They really didn't need to do that but it was a nice gesture, so I know management gets it. It was busy but not overwhelmingly so. I was so excited to dine inside a restaurant for the first time in months. Sierra is beautiful and has wonderful views. Unfortunately, the restaurant was full of moths, which are not very appetizing. I would suggest trying the patio seating...hopefully less moths. I was looking forward to the French dip sandwich but it was not on the menu. The waiter explained that we were given the dinner menu (at 11:30 am) and he forgot to tell us. Anyway, the french dip was outstanding. read more

Avoid the Cowboy Ribeye, one of the worst steaks I have ever had. We have been to Sierra a dozen times and the food has always been pretty good. I have raved about their margaritas but they recently started adding egg whites, which is odd and not as good as their original margaritas. Really sorry to have to send such a low review as I like the restaurant and staff, but I believe people need to know as the Cowboy Ribeye is not inexpensive and it is poor quality. read more

Tried to make a reservations for 15 people for a wedding party for August 4, and they don't take reservations.... only for shoulder times. To bad, although I like the food, I won't be back. I went for brunch with a bunch of girlfriends, and Borris was so attentive and kind in his service. We all ordered something different. I had a hard time choosing between the strawberry compote pancakes or the steak and eggs--but went with savory and filling. I don't usually like fried potatoes, but the crispiness on the side was perfect. I ordered the steak medium and it was perfectly cooked. The main chef (or kitchen manager?) James came over to introduce himself to our table, and he was nice too. He just finished putting this brunch menu together and told us why each item complemented the whole setup. read more
