The salesman Lee was an amazing person to deal with. No pressure and very helpful. We ended up buying the car and when we got it home that night found a mechanical problem with the car. I called them the next day and they told me to bring the car into them and they would fix it. They did everything they said they would do and put a new set of tires on for it for the inconveniences. The owner Brad, finance manager Nester, and the great Salesman Lee Jennie went above and beyond to make sure the car was right. I would absolutely recommend them if you are looking for a used car. At some point all vehicles will require some maintenance, and it's disingenuous to think the owner knows a water pump or oxygen sensor might go out after you've driven it back and forth to South Lake Tahoe 5 times I dealt with Brad, the owner, today and found him to be down to earth, forthright and honest. We didn't do a deal today, but based on my experience, he's the only "used car salesman" I'd consider dealing with in Reno.

I got a Ford Focus here and did have some problems but you have to expect some problems with a used car, anyone thinking there won't be some issues is just plain stupid. So I made payments for a few months and did some minor work on the car. Well it ended up that I needed a new vehicle, mainly cause I had another kid and needed more room. So I called Cody, the main guy running the place, and told him "hey man I'm having some troubles with this car and I need a bigger one, I've been good on my payments so I wanted to see if you can help me." Right from the start Cody says "yeah you know what? you've been real good on your payments, come on down and we'll take that Focus back and put some credit towards another vehicle if you want." So I took it back down there and was able to trade in a little Ford Focus for a Chrysler Town and Country which is a great vehicle for a family of 5. Now mind you I will have to pay more for the mini van but it was in a lot better condition, newer, and naturally it's a bigger vehicle so it's gonna be worth a little more. Well Cody dropped the price down about $1300 from asking price and we started on that vehicle. Well luck would have it that I could only end up making one full payment of $270 a month that GDOW was asking. I went in after 2-3 months and told Cody "I can't make the full payment because of my job and my hours, can we work something out?" Well at first I made a few weeks payments of $50-$70 a week and then I couldn't even manage to do that all the time. So I talked to Cody and told him my situation and he said "bring me what you can when you can and stay in touch with me." I got the van around June or July of 2014, only paid maybe $600 with all the payments up until February 2015 when I finally got my tax money. I kept in touch with Cody the whole time, sometimes not talking to GDOW for a month or so, and finally got my taxes in in Feb. 2015. I went down to make a huge payment pr pay it off and asked "what would I owe if I paid it all off right now?" He had his assistant look up the paper work and said it would be around $4800. I said ok well I'll just make a payment cause the most I could do would be $4000. He looked through what I already paid and decided to let me take the van, title and all, for the $4000. So I got real lucky not losing the vehicle that I made such terrible payments on, and they also dropped the price another $800+. One last thing to mention, the van had an issue where it wouldn't always stay started sometimes and I talked to Cody about that and he had me bring it down where he in turn took it to his mechanic who not only replaced a damaged part but they never charged me for the work and didn't cause any new problems. So the bottom line is this, be honest with them, let them know if you can't make a payment and when you'll be able to and they'll work with you.

A few weeks ago I purchased my first car from Bill Pearce, which was a used Toyota RAV4. Naturally, there were some questions that arose during the sales process, such as what I should do if something were to go wrong with the car soon after I bought it. Would they take care of it, or tell me to pound sand like most other dealerships would be inclined to do when buying an as-is used car? The salesman, Scott, assured me that they would do what they could to make it right. I figured I'd hope for the best. When I was ready to buy the car, I noticed that (through no fault of anyone) there were tiny tar splatters all over the hood and left side of the car. It's likely that it was driven past a construction site at some point. One of the employees named Alex came out and helped me remove it with a buffing wheel and polishing compound. He didn't have to do that, so I greatly appreciated it! I drove it off the lot without issue and they even knocked $600 off the price due to some minor cosmetic damage on the car. I was skeptical at first about Scott's assurances, but all doubt was removed when my car started to have problems with the paint chipping almost immediately from a small area on the hood. I suspect it had to do with the insulator on the underside of the hood coming off, which then caused the heat from the engine to heat up the hood and make the paint bubble/chip. I realize that I should have checked under the hood before I drove off with the car. I only found out when I got home and found the insulator sitting on top of the engine instead of being attached to the underside of the hood where it belonged. I do not blame Bill Pearce for any of this. I now know for a fact that they would have fixed this immediately if they had known too. I told Scott and their used car manager, Joseph, about the issue and he immediately told me to bring it in to them. As someone with a marketing degree, I can tell that these men deeply care about their reputations and first impressions. I showed them the paint chips and bubbles (which had spread over the course of a week) and brought back the detached hood insulator. Joseph told me to leave the car with them, no questions asked. Well I went down and picked up the car from them yesterday (as of when I wrote this) and I couldn't be happier. Joseph personally touched up the chipped paint, sanded out the bubbles, and applied an even coating of touch up paint to the damaged section. He also clear coated it. Not only that, he personally fixed the hood insulator, cleaned it, and securely attached it to the bottom of the hood. Speaking of which, the hood also had some residual tar splatter on it that I had been meaning to get to, but have not yet found the time. Well, not anymore, because Alex removed all of the remaining tar! Not only that, but they also polished the headlights which had been a bit fogged up when I bought the car! None of this was charged to me. I made sure to thank each of them profusely for the superb service they have given me. Most other car places would have blown me off if I came back to them with even half of the problems I did. These people care about what they do and they care about making sure the customer has a good buying experience. They definitely wanted my first car to be perfect. While the car certainly had a couple problems, I did not have to stress over them at all because the people at Bill Pearce took care of everything, all while keeping me up to speed the whole time through calls and texts. I will be recommending this place to my friends who are in the market for new or used cars from now on, and I can confidently recommend this business to everyone else who would like a car from people who actually care about their customers.
