Several sites found several cars that fit the bill but I wasn't ready to pull the trigger. Last week, the AMEX Car Buying site pulled up 3 MB GLK-350s locally and I decided to check out 2 of them. I had done my research and knew the GLKs options and features well, so I contacted MB-Reno and HSAS (on Mill St). Both cars fit my needs, however, to get to my number: MB-Reno suggested my 4Runner be included as a trade (valuing it at $4,300) while I determined it was worth closer to $7K HSAS (Jorge) came close to my out-the-door price in our first meeting without much back-n-forth, without my trade, and agreed to accept AMEX so I could get AMEX travel points. A few days later I took their GLK for test drive #1. It behaved nicely but I waited a few more days to see if my head was in the right place (and during this window Jorge did NOT pressure me at all). Given it was worthy of a second (better) look we came in on Sunday (quieter), put $20 in the tank so we could take it for a long drive, and it passed the majority of our test. I felt the need for a 4-wheel alignment and I also asked HSAS to confirm the warranty covered AWD. I asked Jorge to hold the car so I could get AMEX pre-approved and came in few days later to finalize the deal. Sat with Jorge and respectfully, we calmly knocked out a deal: 1. HSAS provided a 3-year/50K full powertrain warranty thru a different vendor (vs 6 months) - and Jorge covered the additional cost 2. The 4-wheel alignment was completed off-site before we came in and the vendor's printout showed the rear wheels were out - Jorge covered the cost 3. HSAS stuck to the out-the-door price we agreed to 6 days earlier which I appreciated VERY MUCH, and all told, I came away feeling I paid a fair price - a price I had pre-determined as acceptable - and Jorge & HSAS made a profit, which any business should expect. My overall experience with HSAS and Jorge in 3 words: VERY professional, calm AND considerate. HSAS does their best to please customers and I'm pleased to recommend them to the used car buying public. Keep in mind, a buyer of a used car should know - when you buy a used car, you're buying a car someone else used (sometimes abused) for a while. Sometimes quite a while, and oftentimes it too was traded in because it too was "tired" Time will tell if our MB GLK-350 continues to "behave nicely". I'll let you know

Long story short this place is a great place for someone who can't afford to get a brand new car…read morefrom a big time dealer. Just talk with the people and be honest and they'll help you out. If you want to know how they can really help you and be nice people that actually do care about the customer then read on. I got a Ford Focus here and did have some problems but you have to expect some problems with a used car, anyone thinking there won't be some issues is just plain stupid. So I made payments for a few months and did some minor work on the car. Well it ended up that I needed a new vehicle, mainly cause I had another kid and needed more room. So I called Cody, the main guy running the place, and told him "hey man I'm having some troubles with this car and I need a bigger one, I've been good on my payments so I wanted to see if you can help me." Right from the start Cody says "yeah you know what? you've been real good on your payments, come on down and we'll take that Focus back and put some credit towards another vehicle if you want." So I took it back down there and was able to trade in a little Ford Focus for a Chrysler Town and Country which is a great vehicle for a family of 5. Now mind you I will have to pay more for the mini van but it was in a lot better condition, newer, and naturally it's a bigger vehicle so it's gonna be worth a little more. Well Cody dropped the price down about $1300 from asking price and we started on that vehicle. Well luck would have it that I could only end up making one full payment of $270 a month that GDOW was asking. I went in after 2-3 months and told Cody "I can't make the full payment because of my job and my hours, can we work something out?" Well at first I made a few weeks payments of $50-$70 a week and then I couldn't even manage to do that all the time. So I talked to Cody and told him my situation and he said "bring me what you can when you can and stay in touch with me." I got the van around June or July of 2014, only paid maybe $600 with all the payments up until February 2015 when I finally got my tax money. I kept in touch with Cody the whole time, sometimes not talking to GDOW for a month or so, and finally got my taxes in in Feb. 2015. I went down to make a huge payment pr pay it off and asked "what would I owe if I paid it all off right now?" He had his assistant look up the paper work and said it would be around $4800. I said ok well I'll just make a payment cause the most I could do would be $4000. He looked through what I already paid and decided to let me take the van, title and all, for the $4000. So I got real lucky not losing the vehicle that I made such terrible payments on, and they also dropped the price another $800+. One last thing to mention, the van had an issue where it wouldn't always stay started sometimes and I talked to Cody about that and he had me bring it down where he in turn took it to his mechanic who not only replaced a damaged part but they never charged me for the work and didn't cause any new problems. So the bottom line is this, be honest with them, let them know if you can't make a payment and when you'll be able to and they'll work with you.
