Our SUVs are tired so a few months ago I started looking to replace 1 of them. If something came up, terrific. If not, so be it (a good spot to be when buying a car, new or used). Several sites found several cars that fit the bill but I wasn't ready to pull the trigger. Last week, the AMEX Car Buying site pulled up 3 MB GLK-350s locally and I decided to check out 2 of them. I had done my research and knew the GLKs options and features well, so I contacted MB-Reno and HSAS (on Mill St). Both cars fit my needs, however, to get to my number: MB-Reno suggested my 4Runner be included as a trade (valuing it at $4,300) while I determined it was worth closer to $7K HSAS (Jorge) came close to my out-the-door price in our first meeting without much back-n-forth, without my trade, and agreed to accept AMEX so I could get AMEX travel points. A few days later I took their GLK for test drive #1. It behaved nicely but I waited a few more days to see if my head was in the right place (and during this window Jorge did NOT pressure me at all). Given it was worthy of a second (better) look we came in on Sunday (quieter), put $20 in the tank so we could take it for a long drive, and it passed the majority of our test. I felt the need for a 4-wheel alignment and I also asked HSAS to confirm the warranty covered AWD. I asked Jorge to hold the car so I could get AMEX pre-approved and came in few days later to finalize the deal. Sat with Jorge and respectfully, we calmly knocked out a deal: 1. HSAS provided a 3-year/50K full powertrain warranty thru a different vendor (vs 6 months) - and Jorge covered the additional cost 2. The 4-wheel alignment was completed off-site before we came in and the vendor's printout showed the rear wheels were out - Jorge covered the cost 3. HSAS stuck to the out-the-door price we agreed to 6 days earlier which I appreciated VERY MUCH, and all told, I came away feeling I paid a fair price - a price I had pre-determined as acceptable - and Jorge & HSAS made a profit, which any business should expect. My overall experience with HSAS and Jorge in 3 words: VERY professional, calm AND considerate. HSAS does their best to please customers and I'm pleased to recommend them to the used car buying public. Keep in mind, a buyer of a used car should know - when you buy a used car, you're buying a car someone else used (sometimes abused) for a while. Sometimes quite a while, and oftentimes it too was traded in because it too was "tired" Time will tell if our MB GLK-350 continues to "behave nicely". I'll let you know read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Bought an Acura from them on 1/26 with struts that needed to be Replaced and whine coming from the belts. They finally did the struts today (two weeks later almost) and didn't align the vehicle or address the engine noise. They will act nice and rush you out. Just avoid them all together they aren't trustworthy and only care about money. Thanks for screwing me over guys. Thanks a lot. Also per Todd's reply- they did not align my car after the promised repair and he has not contacted me as I've asked the sales person Francisco to have him contact me over ten times. High Sierra doesn't take repair or customer service serious or I would've been called and there would be compromise. This is the worst vehicle purchase I've ever had and I'm still sticking to my review. This is one of the worst dealerships in town and they avoid repairs at all cost. If todd really wants to make things better he would've called me and we could've talked it out. So this got worse I found out the cars miles were rolled back. I found through car fax which they didn't check or inspect this Acura. They took it back because they knew they are liable. Still doesn't make what I went through. So it continued and that's why it needs to be back up for the public. Bought an Acura MDX and had constant issues within the first month I spent over 1k on repairs then found out dealer turned miles back. Now I'm stuck with a high mileage Mercedes and I'm going to finally figure out my rights and follow up with dmv enforcement. They didn't try to find me a car after fraudulently writing me a loan on a car with well over 200k that had "122k" then they went and resold the car. I just wanted my Denali back but they didn't try to find me the car I wanted or get me my car back. Instead I was groomed into the vehicle they wanted me in. At the end the sales person wrote it all up and I noticed my denali trade was gone. When I asked why his response was "we figured since the price on the Mercedes you forfeit the Denali." I should've left long before that post but that was the one where it should've been over. Now I have a vehicle larger than I wanted and they also left two loans open in my name for almost the entire corona shutdown. Thanks again for putting me in the most uncomfortable position to purchase anything in my life. Come to find out Todd the owner lied to my credit union and didn't pay the rolled back car loan which I had zero possession of. Also the salesman and entire staff was aware of the rolled back miles.RUN from this business. He says I'm "ungrateful" that's funny I traded that piece of shit car in I got from them and got an apr in the lows and guess what my car isn't falling apart three weeks later from Buick GMC Cadillac. Go there they will treat you right. This place will upset you for the rest of your days. read more

Wow absolute worst dealership I've ever been to. I have not only been tricked into buying one but two cars that were sold to me under false pretense I bought an Xterra that the check engine light came on 30 minutes after I bought it and I returned it the next day and they wouldn't take it they gave me half of what it cost me credit towards another car, an Audi that did the same check engine light delay. If you take a battery out of the car all the lights on the dash will go off but if there's a problem they will come back on you have to give them about an hour though both times this dealership did this to me and now as soon as I drive off the thermostat broke... obviously it's been broken for a long time but you're gonna charge me for the parts when you sold it to me without it's supposedly have any problems? I had to pay towing fees from Santa Rosa to here and make the trip plus hotels over 10 times and still got ripped off do not do business here. Liz is very rude and when it comes down to it no I didn't sign of warranty however you gave me your word that As is meant no problems because there were no lights on knowing that you just reset the battery and they'd be on shortly I just wish people would do good business and just be good people towards everyone regardless if you were black whit gay straight guy or girl but some people aren't open minded and lack morales read more

Sold the vehicle I was buying from underneath me for a $100 more, or so they claim it was only a $100 more, I don't believe them. I went there specifically for a SUV that I saw advertised online. Test drove it, had them run my credit, was told I was approved, and they let me drive it home on a Saturday. Said they were waiting for better offers on the interest rate to come in before we completed the loan on the vehicle. Said they should have better offers on Monday when the banks are open. Per our verbal agreement, I was to bring the SUV back on Monday to have it run through the shop since the ABS light was on, then said my SUV would be ready Tuesday late afternoon. On Monday, I drove the car there, they gave me a POS loaner with a headlight that was out and stank so bad I couldn't get the stench off my clothes for the first two washes. On Monday night at 8pm I got a call from Sunny, who was working with me, and he said there was a problem with my credit. Asked if I lived in motel rooms. I thought that was strange, there should be no question where I live, I have a mortgage, so I didn't know what the issue was. Thought maybe because I travel a lot and have multiple addresses, but that has never previously caused a problem with loans. Next day I tried calling and texting Sunny to find out what is going on with my loan, finally got a call back around 4pm. Told me that he can't get a bank to approve me unless I put 2k down and accept 20% interest rate (I was previously told 1k down with 5.7% interest rate - my credit is in the 680's.) First I agreed to the high interest, but I only had 1k on me. I figured I'll finance it shortly until I can get back home (I live out of state but travel to Reno weekly) and pull the money from my savings, and pay off the SUV. He talked circles around that, so I said fine, I'll pay cash, but I can only give you 1k now, and I'll have the rest of the money early next week as I need to get the funds transferred to cash. His response was "I have 3 or 4 people wanting this car". It hit me what was happening. So I asked him, did you already sell it to someone else? He got very defensive and said he would never do that. I called the Todd (I think he's the owner?), asked him if my SUV has been sold from underneath me. When Todd called me back, he told me that it had been. I drove the POS loaner car with the broken headlight straight there. Asked why they would sell the car from underneath me, was told that Sunny was new, and not really part of the staff. But Todd was going to make it right. First he offered to sell me the POS Honda CRV for the same price... um... excuse me? How is a Honda CRV the same as a Ford Explorer? They are not even remotely the same. Second, I wanted the Ford Explorer, the one I filled up with $45 worth of gas before they sold it to someone else while I thought it was being run through the shop. In all fairness, the owner did repay for me for my gas expenses, but I was also having a bit of a hissy fit in his office over the matter. I think he only paid me back to calm me down so the other customers near by wouldn't hear what a sleazy used car salesman Sunny is. Todd told me that he will have more vehicles later that week, and he'll help me find something that is what I need and at the price I want, though he pointed out that the Explorer was a really good deal that is hard to come by. Yes, I know it was a good deal, that is why I wanted that one, and that is why I rushed over there the second that I saw it listed. I was trying to be understanding that mistakes happen, so I gave Todd the benefit of the doubt to redeem himself and his business, since supposedly Sunny was new and would be talked to about the incident, and Todd was going to help me find me another vehicle by that weekend. I patiently waited for Todd to call me back and tell me what vehicle he has for me. That was seven days ago. Have not heard a peep out of him since I left the lot. I will never do business with them, and I highly suggest if you want a certain vehicle off their lot, watch it like a hawk and get everything in writing. After writing my initial review (below), Jeff (the owner) responds with incorrect information and basically says I was unfair in my review. Then, after I message him about it,says I caused the issues by "running the car out of gas". Okay, two things, Jeff: 1. YOU GAVE ME THE CAR WITH NO GAS IN IT. I asked your salesman to fill up the tank before I took it, and it was empty. I went IMMEDIATELY from the car lot after picking up the car to a gas station. Anyway, read the original review to see what happened. 2. Running a car out of gas cannot do these things: damage a coil, take the car out of alignment, ruin a wheel bearing, make the transmission fluid exceptionally dirty (causing the transmission to shift very rough), cause two rims to be bent, and cause the gas door to be stuck. I'm sorry, but what you said is ludicrous, and you've now turned me from a customer who felt bad about having to write a one-star review to someone who will GLADLY let EVERYONE I know how you run your business. So, just so everyone can see again, let me run down the stats: 1. I bought a 2002 Jaguar X-Type from Jeff in January (my initial review said December -- it was actually January). 2. Immediately after driving the car off the lot, it breaks. The cylinder coil failed on cylinder 1 causing misfiring. Also, the battery cable and battery leads are bad (I get a faulty alternator light on occasion). 3. The car was significantly out of alignment when I took it to get an inspection a week later. 4. The car had a bad wheel bearing from the beginning. 5. The transmission shifts very poorly due to extremely dirty transmission fluid. 6. The car shakes at high speeds due to two bent back wheels. 7. The fuel door won't open unless I put a credit card in the crack and then pull the lever. There's much more to this story, but read my original review. Jeff, I'm really sorry it's come to this. Paul is the nicest person in the world! That place is great. No bullshit, totally honest. Buying a car is always stressful, but he made it so easy. He didn't pressure me, flat out said, "I don't need to take you by the hand, let me know when you find what you like", with a huge, warming smile. Found a FANTASTIC car at a great price, and he worked with us all day to get something that would work for both of us. He even closed the deal with a hug. Incredibly sweet, genuine person who deserves 5 stars just for himself. He even printed out the Carfax for me and went over everything about the car. Got in, and showed me how to use everything. I honestly would go back to this guy any day. If you're looking for a truck or SUV, they're a great place to look for used cars. Paul, who is a part owner and salesman, is a friend of my wife's which is why we bought a car for my son here. Paul is a very friendly man who showed us several cars and went out for test drives. The car that my son landed on was priced right and looked great, a Dodge Intrepid. The car wasn't quite ready to sell so we picked up the car a few days later and drove it off the lot. On the way home, the engine light came on and we turned it around and took it back to the lot. Paul and his mechanic ran a diagnostic on the car and determined that there may be transmission problems which they took care of. I am not sure why this wasn't done earlier but nonetheless, it was wonderful that they took care of the problems. We got the car back almost a week later and within a few days, the engine light came back on. Again, we took it back to Paul and they ran a diagnostic and couldn't really determine a problem with the car except for possibly an overly sensitive sensor. My son relocated back down to the bay area and a couple weeks later, the sensor light came back on...with the mysterious non-problem. All in all, this was an excellent value and even though I was somewhat perturbed that they didn't take care of these issues ahead of time allowing us to drive off the lot right away...and with our having to go back to the lot a few times, I did appreciate Paul's integrity to take care of the problems when they did arise. Certainly a place to check out if you need a used car at a good value. Like any other used car lot, Ask lots of questions, have the car checked out by a mechanic before buying and know that all used cars have a backstory. read more

Best place to buy a car - no pressure at all to buy from them and you can test drive the car as long as you want. We test drove a corvette but could not decide yet on the car. We end up buying a cheap car for a friend of ours and the owner was so helpful and gave us a very good deal when I told him why I was buying it for. Second the credit union sent us notice that did not get the title from the dealer after 3 months And last the credit union is idiotic they keep requesting insurance info even after I submit it and get confirmation from them. We purchased a truck to haul our trailer. It was a great value and our Saleman Dario is the best. The only hiccup: we contacted them and let them know we are driving more than 300 miles to see the truck and purchase it if it could pass CA smog. When we arrived the truck was in need of repairs to the interior and a few other things needed to be repaired. We had to leave the truck and return 2 days later to purchase it. When we arrived at the lot, there was nobody pressuring us to buy anything or test drive something that we weren't looking for. They even worked late that night because we were looking around and wanted to test drive a couple of trucks. We are really pleased with the truck and it came at a great price. They are the WORST dealership I have ever worked with. To start, the secretary "lost" my paper work with all my personal information on it. Such as SSN and what not. I bought a vehicle from them January of this year, that after we signed the papers and took it down the hill to Sacramento, ended up only having 1, yes that's right, 1 break pad and it only had 5% pad left. When I tried to talk to the salesman that we dealt with, he told me to take off what I owed him (off the down payment). Well, I did that and he sent a repo guy to my house on Valentines Day to take the vehicle. So I wrote him another check so I could keep my vehicle. I kept trying to work things out with the salesman, DARIO, and he refused to help me with my problems and denied everything he said. So I then got a nasty voice mail from the owner, Jeff, saying "I don't know how you can look at yourself in the mirror everyday". I called him back and told him no worries, that my lawyer will be contacting them soon for us to go to court. The owner said he didn't want it to go that far and that he would reimburse me what I had to put into the car if I brought him the car. We agreed to meet at his bank to make the exchange. My fiance drove that vehicle with our infant while I drove another vehicle with my 1 year old. As soon as we parked, the owner tried to ram the front end of the car while a tow truck backed up to it. As soon as my fiance got out of the car they tried to TAKE OFF WITH MY INFANT IN THE BACK SEAT!!! My fiance had to jump back in the vehicle, even after telling them there was a baby in the back seat to get them to stop. Both my fiance and I had to call 911 to get them to leave my child alone. Even with 6 police officers there, DARIO, the salesman snuck up to the vehicle while my fiance and I were talking to some of the officers, turned the car off and took my keys. Leaving my infant to sit in a heated car while it was hot outside. Legally, because they had the titled, the officers had no option but to let them have the car. A week later I receive a letter from the DA's office saying I am being prosecuted for fraudulent checks. What the hell???? Those scum bags took my canceled checks to the DA's office AFTER they got the car back to try and claim on both checks, which means they tried to get DOUBLE the down payment AFTER having the vehicle in their possession. Can you say FRAUD!! So now I will be reporting them and warning every person out there. If you don't want to have to worry about your family's safety, THEN DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!!! It's been 8 months since my wife and I purchased our 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee from this dealership. I have decided to go out of my way and take a few minutes to write a positive review about my experience doing business here because they have definitely earned it. My wife has been driving this vehicle everyday without any issues and we have been able to depend on it during road trips. Every time I perform maintenance on this vehicle I am amazed on how spotless every part under the hood and under carriage is. Whoever does the detailing on their vehicles has an amazing talent. The fluids, air filter, brakes and tires were in excellent condition. I did have to replace the battery after about 4 months but other than that everything has been good. We received a great trade in value after some negotiating for our previous Jeep and were able to come to satisfying sales price agreement. Our previous Jeep was always maintained on schedule and cared for, so we know they work with quality vehicles. This dealership was the least stressful lot I walked on all week which helped me have a clear head to make my decision on all my car shopping options. Bought a Mercedes from Dario last week. We just got it home and and the check engine light went on .Oh no! My first thought was that I just paid cash for a junk car. Dario took the car to his mechanic, got it fixed and found a Mercedes service report on a potential problem. I still need to take the car in to the dealership and get it checked out. Overall my only complaint was that it took a week to get the car repaired but then again it was at no charge to me. I feel that Dario did a great job in taking care of my needs. read more
