Pork Chop
Brian S.

Wonderful Moscow Mules served up by the bartending staff. Then she recommended the pork chop which was other worldly and absolutely phenomenal. Tender and flavorful and cooked to perfection on a bed of mashed potatoes and broccolini. I'd always known Siena for their great pizza but this dish is over the top and a great reason to return.

First timer here and it did not disappoint. Took a while to sit us for our reservation as the were a little backed up but once we were sat the service was great. I got the chicken cutlet - vodka style and it was delicious. A little bit on the thicker side but not lacking in crispiness at all. Really large portion size too. The vodka sauce was also very creamy and flavorful and the pasta was cooked nicely. The filet was cooked perfect and the mashed potatoes were outstanding. The stuffed banana peppers were definitely a stand out here, never had a stuffed pepper that had such a smooth filling. Can't wait to come back here.

The food is good to me. It was pretty average service was impeccable, which is mainly why I'm giving the four stars as well as for the ambience of the place. It is a beautiful restaurant however, among all the dishes we ordered we only liked two of them. The eggplant stack was okay. The grilled octopus was very good. It came with a potato fritter, which was also very delicious. The chicken cutlet with the vodka sauce rigatoni was amazing and probably the best dish we had that night. I would also skip on the mushroom tortellini. I felt like it could be a lot more creamier. The tortellini was definitely overcooked. The pizza was probably the most terrible thing we had. overall, I don't think I will be returning, but it's good to try one time for maybe only the vodka sauce, rigatoni with chicken cutlet and the grilled octopus.

This was my second time at Siena, and everything form the service, the ambiance, and most importantly, the food, was top notch. Our server was extremely attentive. The olives and Parmesan was a nice touch to be served with bread. My duck breast was probably one of the best meals I've had at a Buffalo restaurant ever. The coffee was also tasty. I really enjoy it here.

While staying in the area for business meetings we came here for dinner... Made a reservation and it's good we did, they pack this place at dinnertime! Service was decent, but the menu was great! So many incredible options to choose from! They have a nice list of pizzas too, as they have a wood fired pizza oven. We started with their table bread and this was some outstanding bread, which also included crackers and I'm pretty sure it's all made in-house. They have a nice wine list and it's not over-priced either. Next up was their salad, which was really good and made with fresh ingredients! Definitely enough salad to split with someone. Their entrées all impressed those at the table! The pork chop was incredible and so was the fish dish of the night, a halibut. Pizza was really good too! Highly recommend saving room for dessert, they have a nice list of options for dessert! Definitely some really good eats here... Stop in and see for yourself!

My experience here... abysmal. For a restaurant that claims to be fine dining, it left something to be desired. Wait was quite long despite a reservation and had to stand in quite an awkwardly small area trying to get out of everyone's way. I felt like an inconvenience just being there. Now, when we sat down, the table wasn't even set for us. Furthermore, the utensils were dirty and needed to be replaced. We were also sat next to a whole pile of cardboard boxes. Really didn't give the impression of fine dining. We started with the Cesar salad and the burrata. The burrata was really good with the combination of the squash. HOWEVER. The Cesar salad was very disappointing. It was all of the white part of the lettuce and absolutely no greens. Additionally, we couldn't taste any of the dressing because all we tasted was the water of the stem. It's quite a mid salad. Don't recommend the Cesar salad. I personally had the rigatoni bolognese. This was quite delicious and I thought it was a great entree! The service was friendly so no complaints about the staff. But it really was not a great experience for a place that claims to be fine dining. There's definitely things that could be improved upon.

Chefs special: Veal with mashed potato and veg

Cute restaurant located in Snyder. Our server was fantastic, it was nice to connect with someone with small kids and we exchanged ideas for ways to keep them busy this spring break! Really enjoyed the tuna tartar appetizer. The Osso buco and risotto was delicious. I had the chefs special, a veal shank with potato mash and veg and that was very good as well. Your dinner also starts with olives bread and cheese. I had a great blackberry mule too!

My husband and I finally made it here for dinner, and it was absolutely amazing. I don't know if they accept walk-ins, but we had a reservation, and we still had to wait about 10-15min to be seated. We went to the bar for a drink and it wasn't a problem. When we were seated it, I found that the restaurant is much bigger than I realized. The ambiance is nice. It can get a little loud but nothing terrible. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. We did go closer to the holidays, so I'm thinking that that could be why it was packed Everything was great. The service was wonderful and our waitress was very nice. I didn't get many pictures because we spent our time really enjoying the meal. I do know that I'll be back for sure. On a side note, the parking lot is a little tight, and the night we went, it was full. I managed to find a spot and backed in because I knew leaving would be tricky. At the start of my meal, the hostess started going around asking if anyone had a particular car. It wasn't mine, so I continued my meal. The hostess made a second round of asking about another vehicle. Apparently, the person of the first vehicle in question had parked in a way that a person couldn't safely back out. However, that person couldn't be found in the restaurant. So, they decided to ask me to pull out of my spot so that the woman blocked in could pull forward through my spot, and then I could go back to the spot. I was a little annoyed. Not at anyone, just the situation. But of course, I hopped up to go move. Everyone apologized it was no big deal. I went back to dinner. At the end of the night, they offered us free desert for moving the vehicle. It was a super nice gesture. I was stuffed, but my husband ate one there, and we took one to go. They absolutely did not have to do that, but it was very sweet. My husband loved both of his sweet treats, too!

If you're looking for incredible service and amazing food, Siena is the place for you! It is always on my rotation of places for a special occasion and a great meal. This time around for appetizers we got the Salsiccia pizza, Caesar salad and stuffed banana peppers. The pizza was excellent and had a great little spice to it from the cherry peppers. You can never go wrong with one of their pizzas! The Caesar salad and banana peppers were good too, but the pizza was the standout. For entrees, I got the veal cutlets with vodka sauce and I have to be honest, I have never wavered from this dish. They have the best vodka sauce I've ever had, and the cutlets are always so thin and crispy, the whole meal is just phenomenal! We also had the pappardelle, and that was excellent too! I can't recommend those dishes enough! For dessert and drinks, I had the pomegranate mule and the Brookie. The mule was so good and probably one of the best I've ever had, and the Brookie was excellent as always! It's definitely the go to dessert for me. Overall, I love Siena! The service is always top notch and the food is incredible! The atmosphere of the place is perfect for any special occasion or even just date night, and if you get the opportunity ask for Jake, he was an awesome server! Highly highly recommend Siena!

Frutti Di Mare
Jurel H.

Absolutely the place to be, if your looking for a great dining experience. This small restaurant can get pretty crowded fast, and they do not take reservations (update they accept reservations now). So I strongly suggest coming as early as possible. The decor is beautiful, and elegant. Our server John was really good. He took the time to answer all our questions. He also gave some really good recommendations. He was very professional and very courteous. Siena is well worth the visit, plan to come gain very soon. Antipasti- Loved the meat and cheese choices of this board. Everything on this board, was made of high quality meats and cheeses. You can come here just for the antipasti, and will have a wonderful meal. Just don't forget to have some wine to complete this meal. Frutti Di Mare- what a amazing entree.. spaghetti noodles, with a wonderful creamy white sauce. That's pretty good in itself, but there's also shrimp, scallops, and crab meat also added. Now this takes the entree on a whole new level. Braised short ribs- Looking for a hearty meal? Then this is it. A wonderful piece of braised beef rib, in a Marsala mushroom sauce. The flavor profile of this entree is amazing.

This is not a fine dining salad. There is way too many stems.
Jiwon K.

If this is what they call fine dining, I'm scared. I don't think they understand what that means. Is it a nicer restaurant? Sure. Fine dining? Absolutely not. But hey, it's the suburbs of Buffalo, so the standards may be different. The nearly 30 min wait when we had reservations -- not off to a good start. Immediately I knew it was not "fine dining". Then, the salad. It was a crime. Almost half of the salad was the white stem part of the lettuce. Fine dining establishments ensure that every single bite is perfect and of the highest quality. This was not that at all. It was giving olive garden level quality of care and attention to the food. And when I gave the server the feedback saying the salad was just okay because it was all stems, all she said was okay. Why even bother asking me how the food is, if you don't actually care? The main was good, but I could not get past how everything else leading up to this point was severely below "fine dining" experience, it didn't matter to me.

Always listen to the staff! So I found this place on Yelp and drove about 15 mins from where I was staying to have lunch here. I struck up conversation with the cashier and she said her favorite item was The Club, so that's what I ordered. It's a cute little sandwich shop, it's an order at the counter and they bring your food to your table kind of place. The food: The Classic- Ricotta and pork meatballs, roasted peppers, cherry tomato confit, fresh mozzarella, pesto. This was the universal favorite of me and my two friends. This was so insanely good. Loved the bread as usual, the meatballs were incredibility tasty and tender and the fresh mozzarella had a great taste and good mouthfeel. I didn't even notice the pesto in to be honest, if I were to add something to take it over the top, it would be to add fresh basil, that would make this a perfect sandwich but this was insanely delicious to start with. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA&select=ij0TFdrEOvs15sH_ooYO6A The Club- house roasted turkey, crispy prosciutto, arugula, roasted tomato, caramelized onion aioli. This sandwich made so much sense. First, I love the bread, it's soft, chewy, light and I love the smokey undertones from the oven. Second, the ingredients all make sense, the turkey was an in house product and the turkey tasted like actual turkey which was great. I loved the arugula and the roasted tomato added a nice sweetness but the caramelized onion aioli was amazing. It added a nice creaminess with a subtle sweetness from the caramelized onions. I also really liked the crispy prosciutto, it had a saltier crispy bacon feel to it. This place is a winner and should be celebrated as such. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA&select=cBxGQw9MCVdExyLHgW8XBA The Forager- Roasted mushrooms, herbed ricotta, spinach, crispy onions. This one made so much sense and there wasn't even meat in this one. I loved the roast on the mushrooms, the herbed ricotta was the sleeper item that tied everything together, there was also a nice freshness to the dish I really enjoyed, I think it was an underlying lemon flavor that really added a lot of flavor. The Italian- Ricotta, goat cheese, fig jam, arugula, balsamic. I thought this was going to be an easy favorite but it was just Ok. All the flavors made sense but the sandwich was way too sweet. Also, I didn't love the flavor of the prosciutto, I think the prosciutto could have been a bit better.

The mozzarella sticks were on the larger side and perfectly crisp with their red sauce for dipping. The chicken parm had wonderful cheese blanket atop a large piece of breaded chicken. I loved all of the gooey, stretchy cheese. It was enough for me to have two meals. The eggplant parm was layered like a lasagna, which I have never seen beforey coworker said he really enjoyed it. They have amazing vegan options, which made the experience even better for me. Before I jump straight into the review, let me encourage you to pull up OpenTable and start looking for a reservation NOW. This place gets busy! Located in Lackawanna in what feels like a quiet residential neighborhood, Mulberry delivers an authentic Italian dining experience. And when I say they are generous with their portions, I mean it--bring your appetite! The Atmosphere The atmosphere is the ultimate vibe. It has that lively, energetic feeling that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The only small drawback is that it can get rather loud, especially when the restaurant is busy. The Service Our waitress, Tara, was fantastic. She was informative, patient, and helpful while we took our time deciding what we wanted to try. The Appetizers For appetizers, we started with the Caprese, chicken wings, and meatball. The meatball is one of the most recommended items whenever you search for Mulberry--and after seeing it in person, I understand why. For starters, this thing is basically the size of a softball, covered in cheese. The table thoroughly enjoyed it, along with the restaurant's well-known chicken wings. The Main Course For dinner, everyone at the table went in a different direction. Lasagna -- 8/10: Two guests ordered the lasagna, and both rated it around an 8 out of 10. The Gravy -- 8.5/10: This menu special featured St. Louis ribs, broken meatballs, crumbled sausage, and penne pasta, all covered with mozzarella cheese. It was definitely a hearty dish. Milano with pepperoni -- 8.5/10: Another guest ordered the Milano and added pepperoni, which was a hit. Chicken Violanti -- 9/10: This was probably the most appealing dish to me visually from a plate presentation standpoint, even as a vegan. It featured Parmesan-crusted chicken, sliced tomato, provolone cheese, lemon butter sauce, and a potato croquette. My pasta -- 9/10: I ordered the rigatoni à la carte with red sauce and vegetables. It was simple, flavorful, and exactly what I was looking for. Miscellaneous A few other things worth knowing before you go: The restaurant has a ramp and is wheelchair accessible, with a first-floor entrance. They offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Parking can be a challenge because the restaurant gets so busy. There is a small parking lot connected to the building, additional parking across the street, and plenty of free street parking. The dining room is spacious and accommodating for different group sizes. I also heard that the bar gets decked out in Christmas decorations during the holiday season, so I'm definitely curious to see that for myself! Final Thoughts My first experience at Mulberry Italian Ristorante was a great one. Between the generous portions, lively atmosphere, attentive service, and variety of options, there was something for everyone at the table. As someone who appreciates having vegan options available, I especially appreciated that I wasn't limited to just a salad or side dish. If you're thinking about trying Mulberry, make that reservation and come hungry!

Our server was new and still training, yet the service was warm, attentive, and seamless. The food was real, authentic Italian. We began with cheesy garlic bread that was perfectly baked and full of flavor. The fresh bread tasted homemade, crisp on the outside and warm and soft inside, with a wonderfully seasoned olive oil. My lobster ravioli came in a rich peppercorn cream sauce with wild mushrooms. The homemade ravioli were cooked perfectly al dente, and the sauce was thick, creamy, and deeply flavorful. Elisa's fresh chicken salad was equally delicious. What made the experience unforgettable, however, was Raffaele. He welcomed us personally, visited our table, connected with other guests, and made it clear how genuinely grateful he was that we had chosen his restaurant. His character became even more apparent after we returned to Ohio and I discovered I had lost my wallet. Raffaele reviewed his security cameras, searched the parking lot, and found it soaking wet from the rain. He then overnighted it to me and refused to accept any money for the postage. That is extraordinary kindness and "Unreasonable Hospitality" at its very best. If I still lived in Buffalo, Trattoria Aroma would unquestionably be my go-to Italian restaurant. Incredible food, excellent service, and hospitality every bit as authentic as the cuisine. We will absolutely return!
