I've been to D'Avolio a few times and their gluten-free pizza is fantastic, hands-down one of my favorites in the area - if not THE favorite. The crust isn't cauliflower which is a huge plus for me as I can't tolerate it and it's texture is great - thin and crispy. I got the classic red sauce for this pizza with tofu, spinach, vegan mozzerella and topped with arugula and paremsan. It was very yummy! I don't know what they do with their tofu but it was perfect. They also brought complimentary bread and oils to try as we waited for our orders and I was able to work with the server to create a delicous mocktail. How I've never reviewed this place before is crazy to me! I've been coming here since they opened and I've never had a bad experience! The food is so good and I am always so quick to eat it that I forget to take any pictures! I did take a pic of the menu though because the menus posted on here are old. My favorite is the salad that you create yourself and I get the honey garlic chicken that is the best chicken EVER! I also request them to make a dressing with my favorite oils and their 18yr balsamic. The pizzas are also so good and I've tried the red sauce, garlic sauce, all different toppings and they are all AMAZING! I have not tried the pastas or burgers but I'm sure they are good because I'm convinced they cannot make anything bad here! read more

Picked up PIZZA there last evening and was disappointed.....very scant toppings, I think my wife counted 10 pieces of cup and char pepperoni. Cheese was scant and the roasted red peppers ordered as additional were all plopped in the middle. Ordered pizza because when I was there for lunch with a friend (everything was great) the pizza looked very good. Also we ordered on their web site (Toast) and it was horrible...couldn't navigate around easily....! Also the pizza was not cheap....almost $30.00 with the tip....Sorry I don't mind tipping but the smallest available was 18%....I tried customizing but that was not very easy either....just gave up and tipped 18%. I love loved the idea of making your own salad, sandwich or pizza. They had quite a few options which can become overwhelming. I ordered a turkey sandwich on focaccia. The portions are huge and if you leave hungry then that's your fault. They also have options to choose from a regular menu too. The inside was very open and spacious. My husband and I were here today to pick up some oils and seasonings. Now, I'd been here before for a baby shower and the food was incredible, so I can attest to that. However, we didn't eat anything here this time. We entered during the blizzard of '22, which is still going on. Fortunately, the restaurant was open for business, despite the storm. We were immediately greeted by two nice servers who showed us where we could buy their oils and vinegars. It was on the same floor as the people dining in, but tucked away in a little alcove surrounded by oils, baked goods, and seasonings. Two different staff members came up to us during this time to see if we needed any help. They were both so warm and friendly. Picking out merchandise was easy because everything was well marked and organized. We got blood orange and strawberry oil and some Tuscan seasoning for bread dipping. The items they have here are all excellent quality. I'll definitely be here again to dine in since the food is delicious and the staff are so happy and helpful. read more

What a cozy place for a late fall evening dinner (I'm sure it's great in other seasons too I just went in November and felt the vibe was perfect!). There are a few tables right when you walk in and a bar and then if you go up a few steps there are more tables in the back. Unfortunately with it being Friday night we did not get our own table but sitting at the bar we still had a great experience! The bar tender was very on top of things and the menu was great. They had a bunch of build your own options and you circle what you want with a dry erase marker and hand it to the server--what an excellent idea! The best part was they had non-dairy cheese !! I got a delicious build your own pizza that was big enough for me to get three meals out of. With a sandwich, a pizza, a basket of fries, and a cocktail it came to 62 dollars which I felt was pretty standard these days. It also seemed like many people were picking up take-out. It's nice that that's an option but I felt it was a great place to actually go in and eat. Will be returning for sure! read more

Who would I blame for culinary mistakes? Only myself, right? In D'Avolio Kitchen, if you are just about to screw up your own lunch or dinner, a very helpful server will be ready with plenty of better suggestions. My friend did great ordering naan personal pizza with Italian sausage, spinach, Gorgonzola cheese, and marinara sauce. I tasted it and it was a truly delightful combination of flavors. My antipasto salad contained arugula, Swiss and goat cheese, mushrooms, prosciutto and Italian herb chicken. The basil pesto was a much better choice than caponata. I was fully satisfied with just having ciabatta bread dipped into herbal spread. It was salty and cheesy. Delicious taste of the end of summer. The prosciutto slices were a little bit too thick and dry, but still tasty. Chicken was too finely shredded, and I would appreciate bigger chunks of meat. Although, the whole presentation and amount of food was impressive. Next time I'll try something totally different. We waited at least half an hour to get our food. Even getting a menu took some time, unfortunately. I don't complain, we had a truly nice and relaxing time at D'Avolio. However, if you are in a hurry, I would advice you to order your meal online in advance. read more

Met up with my girl friend for lunch and we became big fans. The parking lot is a little tight and this place is located on Main Street which is always busy. We came on a weekday for lunch. I ordered a Roman style pizza with basil pesto sauce, shredded mozzarella, honey garlic chicken, mushroom, red onion, and spinach. For $14.95, you get a huge pizza cut in squares.
