I've been to D'Avolio a few times and their gluten-free pizza is fantastic, hands-down one of my favorites in the area - if not THE favorite. The crust isn't cauliflower which is a huge plus for me as I can't tolerate it and it's texture is great - thin and crispy. I got the classic red sauce for this pizza with tofu, spinach, vegan mozzerella and topped with arugula and paremsan. It was very yummy! I don't know what they do with their tofu but it was perfect. They also brought complimentary bread and oils to try as we waited for our orders and I was able to work with the server to create a delicous mocktail. No bread, no cheese, no dressing. This time I ordered through door dash and had it delivered. Upon opening, I quickly noticed that something was wrong with the honey garlic chicken. The texture of it alone was horrible. It was the consistency of lumpy mashed potatoes. The taste was awful. Before tossing out, I took pics. I immediately called your location and was advised to call DoorDash for a refund. I recommend they check their honey garlic chicken because it wasn't right. I've never seen it like that. The order before this one the chicken wasn't accurate as well and it was more softer than normal but not like this. This was inedible. Door dash would not give me a refund. I called back on Monday to your location and was forwarded to corporate. I left a detailed voicemail and no one has responded since then. This is unacceptable. I sent this same message to this locations email with no response. I stated at this point, I would eat the cost of delivery and the dasher tip. The food is so good and I am always so quick to eat it that I forget to take any pictures! I did take a pic of the menu though because the menus posted on here are old. My favorite is the salad that you create yourself and I get the honey garlic chicken that is the best chicken EVER! I also request them to make a dressing with my favorite oils and their 18yr balsamic. The pizzas are also so good and I've tried the red sauce, garlic sauce, all different toppings and they are all AMAZING! My husband and I were here today to pick up some oils and seasonings. Now, I'd been here before for a baby shower and the food was incredible, so I can attest to that. However, we didn't eat anything here this time. We entered during the blizzard of '22, which is still going on. Fortunately, the restaurant was open for business, despite the storm. We were immediately greeted by two nice servers who showed us where we could buy their oils and vinegars. It was on the same floor as the people dining in, but tucked away in a little alcove surrounded by oils, baked goods, and seasonings. Two different staff members came up to us during this time to see if we needed any help. They were both so warm and friendly. Picking out merchandise was easy because everything was well marked and organized. We got blood orange and strawberry oil and some Tuscan seasoning for bread dipping. The items they have here are all excellent quality. I'll definitely be here again to dine in since the food is delicious and the staff are so happy and helpful. read more

In D'Avolio Kitchen, if you are just about to screw up your own lunch or dinner, a very helpful server will be ready with plenty of better suggestions. My friend did great ordering naan personal pizza with Italian sausage, spinach, Gorgonzola cheese, and marinara sauce. I tasted it and it was a truly delightful combination of flavors. My antipasto salad contained arugula, Swiss and goat cheese, mushrooms, prosciutto and Italian herb chicken. The basil pesto was a much better choice than caponata. I was fully satisfied with just having ciabatta bread dipped into herbal spread. It was salty and cheesy. Delicious taste of the end of summer. The prosciutto slices were a little bit too thick and dry, but still tasty. Chicken was too finely shredded, and I would appreciate bigger chunks of meat. Although, the whole presentation and amount of food was impressive. Next time I'll try something totally different. We waited at least half an hour to get our food. Even getting a menu took some time, unfortunately. I don't complain, we had a truly nice and relaxing time at D'Avolio. What a cozy place for a late fall evening dinner (I'm sure it's great in other seasons too I just went in November and felt the vibe was perfect!). There are a few tables right when you walk in and a bar and then if you go up a few steps there are more tables in the back. Unfortunately with it being Friday night we did not get our own table but sitting at the bar we still had a great experience! The bar tender was very on top of things and the menu was great. They had a bunch of build your own options and you circle what you want with a dry erase marker and hand it to the server--what an excellent idea! The best part was they had non-dairy cheese !! I got a delicious build your own pizza that was big enough for me to get three meals out of. With a sandwich, a pizza, a basket of fries, and a cocktail it came to 62 dollars which I felt was pretty standard these days. It also seemed like many people were picking up take-out. So many to choose from and all priced very reasonably. 18 yr aged Balsamic vinegar is the bomb. Best I've ever had. As I make my own vinegars at home I had a few questions.
