    Beautiful family oriented decor!
    Ashlyn P.

Wow...So my boyfriend had told me that this place was really nice, but it far surpassed my expectations!! Being at this Pub made me feel like I was in the basement of a family members home. The wood top bar is gorgeous, all of the decor is themed so nicely, and the way they decorated the entrance hallway is truly unlike anything I've seen before! They had photos of their families and precious quotes on the walls, which truly made me feel like I was at a family members home. The bartender was phenomenal, which I have also never seen before... especially at a bar! He made us feel as if we were family and he made this experience extra personalized--I got to try to make a clover design on top of the Guinness beer! The photo here is his masterpiece, because it was far too beautiful to not include within this review. The food was great and I loved the grilled chicken on the salad I got. It was juicy and seasoned nicely, ugh just PERFECT! My boyfriend loved his chicken wings as well! All around, I was mind-blown by my experience. I did not expect to go from just stopping by a local place for food, to then walking out wishing I could spend every day there! This was a very special experience for me and this is the first time I've felt this way about a restaurant. Thank you Sieb's for doing such a phenomenal job--seriously! I am truly thrilled to go back and try more food that you folks have to offer! & of course, I 1,000% recommend this Pub to any and every person.

    Guinness Beef Pot Pie
    Steven K.

First time at Sieb's. Stopped in for dinner after getting off work. Service was quick and speedy. I ordered the Guinness Beef Pot Pie. It came with a side of onion rings and a salad. Wasn't too impressed with the pot pie unfortunately, the entire thing was basically all carrots. Barely any beef. Potato's were still hard. The crust was good though. Onion rings were great. Salad was pretty standard but still tasty. Best thing of the evening was their pint of Guinness. Overall, nice place. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of their other options.

I was told about this spot back in March for the burger. It's been on my list for a while now and I only ever been recommended it about 5-10 more times since. AN ABSOLUTE SHAME Cam wanted a burger, I wanted something a little more comforting given the weather. This is within 10min of us so we agreed here. WHAT A GREAT decision The burger is just so fucking solid. Juicy ass GOOD quality patty, a pretzel bun (how can't you love that) and added sauerkraut. THIS is what I want with a burger and that beats about every smash burger for me The sweet potatoes fries with it were a brown cinnamon sugar ones. So solid. However, they just need some salt. I know 90% of places don't tend to add much salt when going sweeter but def need them The hearty ass Irish stew bread bowl is everything I needed. Thick ass Guinness broth, melt in mouth carrots/potatoes and beef chunks. PLUS a bread bowl. My only complaint here is the side pieces of bread were toasted like a motherfucker THE FISH N CHIPS. FUCKING HELL. That's right next to Piper's Pub for best for me and it's honestly a toss up. Beer battered perfection not overdone, peels right off and the fish is piping hot. Portion is GREAT too. Like I said too, only time I will accept non psoriasis fries and these were cooked perfectly This is a family pub and the second you walk in you know it. Whole staff is so friendly and treat to you like a relative not a customer. I felt like anytime I sweated I had to look over my shoulder to make sure my mom wasn't gonna slap me. I absolutely loved this spot If you live in the North Hills this is absolutely worth the try and if you are in the hunt for a fish fry put this on it They're big on seasonal items, decorating inside, and friendly service

This place specializes in old school comfort (especially the Fall menu) and traditional Irish fare. The service is quick and my food came quickly. There's the pub side, which has a few TV screens, and the dining room, which has better lighting and is a little more formal. There's a great neighborhood vibe which is irresistible. While there are just 2 craft beers, the Irish selection is impressive. Just for fun, get the Irish Flight (Guinness, Harp, Smithwick's, and Jameson. My server was very attentive and helpful. Prices are very reasonable.

Very fun Irish spot in the north hills. We sat at the bar and the service was good. It the food but amazing. Big portions and fresh cut fries.

Fun Irish pub in the North Hills! We went a week before St Patrick's day to beat the inevitable rush, and boy was it a good decision! There were many decorations and all of the Irish food was spectacular. I had the Irish stew in a bread bowl-- hearty and jam-packed with carrots, beef, and potatoes. Highly recommend!

True Gen in the North Hills. Food was great! Service was even better! The place is even decorated beautifully for Halloween. What a great place for lunch!

Beef Pot pie. Make sure there is more than one piece of beef. Mashed potatoes are good. Opted not to have the extra cost of gravy.
    Holly H.

The food is good here. Just really wish that when they serve the pot pies that there is more than 1 piece of beef. My mom had one piece. I had 6. A bit outrageous when it is fairly easy to portion out. Service was good. It was busy when we first got there. Had the Irish Iced Tea. They need to omit the Midori it is too sweet. Consider using ginger ale instead of sprite.

As usual the food and Guinness were amazing. If you go you must have the fish and chips. One of the best I've had. Tried the Rueban as well and doesn't disappoint. Bartender friendly and knowledgeable. Old time Irish pub with Pub atmosphere. All around great pub

Fish Sandwich w/ fresh Cole Slaw
    Stacey B.

Sieb's Pub is serving up some really tasty fish sandwiches. We went on the first Friday of Lent and the place was packed. We put our name in for a table of three and they estimated 25 mins which turned out to be an hour. We grabbed a few pints while we waited and worked up an appetite. When we were seated, our very friendly server came over right away. She was really great. The fish sandwiches were cooked perfectly and came out nice and hot with a side of homemade cole slaw. We ordered a side of their hand cut fries too. The fish is huge and leftovers made for a nice snack the next morning. We love this family run business. Only slight gripe is how very loud the live singer was in the bar area. It's just way too loud for such a small place.

    Christmas sangria and beef stew
    Morgan B.

The decorations for Christmas are absolutely wonderful. Staff was warm and Inviting, food was very good but prices on food and drinks are pretty high for a pub. However, I am willing to pay for quality and this place seems to have ti.cant wait to go back. I ordered the irsh bread bowl stew and it was good.

Yes, it's a strip mall, but don't let that fool you. Allusion is a beer oasis tucked between life's greatest challenges: renewing your license and resisting discount snacks. Inside, it's clean, cozy, and no frills, which is exactly what you want when the beer is doing all the talking. And let me tell you, the beer has a lot to say. We tried the 1810 Oktoberfest and As You Wish (which made me feel like I was being serenaded by Wesley from The Princess Bride), and both were excellent. We also grabbed a Buffalo Chicken Wrap and a Reuben, each paired with a cup of clam chowder that was creamy, comforting, and possibly made with magic (or butter, which is basically the same thing). The proprietor was friendly, knowledgeable, and doing everything short of brewing the beer mid-conversation. Honestly, if he'd started juggling pint glasses, I wouldn't have been surprised. Long story short: the beers are top-notch, the food hits the spot, and the vibe is low-key awesome. Allusion has earned a spot on our regular rotation, and possibly a spot in our hearts.

For our meals, the hostess and waitress promptly and politely served us. Here are my reviews for the foods: Pretzel bites - 4.5 stars - This appetizer was a large size. We really liked the flavor of the pretzels and the honey-mustard dip. We thought that the cheese dip was OK. Pulled-pork nachos - 5 stars - This appetizer of nachos was huge! Many tortilla chips were topped with gooey cheese, pulled pork, jalapeños, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Fried deviled eggs - 4 stars - The egg white was breaded and fried. It contained a yolk filling and was topped with a spicy jalapeño. We prefer traditional deviled eggs, but these ones tasted good. Mix-and-match soft tacos - 4.5 stars - The pulled-pork taco contained pulled pork and vegetable toppings that were very flavorful. For the brisket taco, I enjoyed the flavor of the brisket and toppings, but the juices made the tortilla soggy and caused it to fall apart. Shrimp tacos - 4.5 stars - These were on sale on a Thursday. The shrimp were breaded, and the toppings of napa slaw, mango salsa, and chipotle aioli tasted very good. Meat entrees - 4.5 stars - My husband liked the smoked chicken the most (5 stars), and he described it as being "delicious." We also ate ribs (4.5 stars), kielbasa (4 stars), brisket (5 stars), salmon (4 stars, needs more seasoning), and pulled pork (4.5 stars). Macaroni and cheese - 5 stars - My husband said that this macaroni was the cheesiest thing that he has ever eaten. He described it as "delicious." I ate some of the macaroni, and I agree that it was extremely cheesy. French fries - 5 stars - These fries were perfectly crispy and salty. Grilled vegetables - 4.5 stars - I wanted to make my meals more nutritious, so I chose a side of grilled vegetables, which are seasonal and included peppers, corn, squash, and zucchini. This mix of veggies had a very good flavor. Side salad - 4 stars - This salad contained a lettuce mix, some tomatoes, some pickled onions, and my choice of dressing. It was fresh but was slightly plain. Pork 'n beans - 3 stars - My husband ordered this side. He ate only a small amount of the beans and sauce, and he thought that they tasted just OK. For drinks, we had iced tea, diet Pepsi, and water. The waitresses brought refills.

It took them over a year to renovate it and they still aren't done in the back and the parking lot is a little rutted but the inside is very nicely done. There is a huge bar and some high and low tables scattered throughout. The clientele is mostly locals and lot of laborers grabbing a drink and a bite to eat after working hard all day which was great to see. It's super casual and very open inside. We had a few beers and the bartender was good. She was attentive and was waiting on 20 folks at the bar as well as table drinks. The manager was able to help serve some food to help her out but never once asked us how everything was. That was a little bit of a missed opportunity in my opinion for a new business. We ordered a breakfast burger that came with some hashbrowns on the side. I assumed, which is my fault totally, that the burger would come with lettuce, tomato, etc. but it truly was JUST a burger, egg, and cheese and absolutely no other toppings. That was disappointing and I really wish the bartender would have asked if I wanted anything on it. I ended up using ketchup for moisture since she was so busy and I was hungry. :) The hashbrowns were frozen and fried so they were nothing special. I think this place has tremendous potential. We'll be back to try something else. It seems busy so that's a good sign.

This is unlike another place down the road (RI) from them that wouldn't adjust items on a sandwich for me last week. The waiter/bartender was super chill too, easy to talk to and basically good at his job. Our refills came quickly and without asking. He followed up to see what we wanted a couple times and the food arrived in a reasonable time (not much waiting at all). This was so very different from that same day where at our usually spot (another old bar/restaurant further down the road, "SJ") we had to walk out just after ordering lunch due to getting attitude from a mouthy waitress. Glad we decided to try this new spot! Great job! I think we found our new local "go to" bar/restaurant. Looking forward to it and to soon trying breakfast there on weekends too. Most often we have gone for live music. This time we were in the area and just wanted to grab a drink. They did have a DJ though which was fun. It was also a great choice because they stay open late when so many local places close early. They do have a limited food menu but I have never eaten there. They have a variety of drinks ranging from non alcoholic to beer or wine, even cider. The cocktail menu is where it's at though. There are so many choices and some unique combinations. It's been fun trying so many. I think my favorite drink on the menu is Galeophobia which comes in a fun shark glass. It's fruity without being too sweet and the macadamia liquor adds just the right amount of nuttiness in the background. I seriously could drink several of them. The Spork House Punch is another favorite. Immediately *pinkies up* with the fancy little crystal mug. The pear and lemon gives such great flavor and it's well balanced and an easy drinker. It also feels like a good value with the amount you get. This time my fiancé tried Elvis' death and loved the toilet mug. He said it was tasty but a bit expensive for what it was so he probably wouldn't order it again. Fun bartenders, great drinks, good atmosphere, enjoyable entertainment.. what's not to love?
