Pre-Birthday Dinner for me. This was the first time we had been to Sidetrack and it did not disappoint. Michelle was our server Ana she was Amazing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was nice, relaxing and made for an enjoyable evening[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The food was delicious and the Coconut Tres Leche cake was so good! The food were good size portions.

This was our first time here. It was recommended to us by a few ppl, but we always forgot about it for some reason. We made reservations since we heard it gets pretty busy, and got seated right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was nice and roomy, however, the tables were a bit small for our group of 4 after ordering drinks and apps.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For apps we had the Whipped Feta and truffle Fries. The whipped Feta was amazing!! I ordered the Burger, my wife ordered the Pan Roasted snapper, and our friends ordered the Chicken Piccata and Lasagna (which I almost ordered). Everything was delicious!! My only complaint; My friend and I both ordered a beer with a cold glass, however, the server said they don't have cold glasses, and brought us a small warm glass that had probably just been washed (hot), so we just drank it straight from the bottle and can... besides that we had a great experience and will most likely be back for more.

Rosemary all around the perimeter! WOW!

So a Tuesday night 5:30pm... a wait of 45mins estimated. Party of 3. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice high top in bar area available and a few other booths and tables open.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't understand... we sat at the bar and ordered drinks and then meals because no table was 'available'... yet the high top was still open. Ridiculous. Food was good and bar service good too. Shrimp Scampi and Wedge Salad for me. Shrimp were really good. The wedge is one of my favorites and the lettuce served was really subpar... still dressing and tomatoes were good though. Savory chicken was really really good! The $5 plate of sloppy mashed potatoes seemed off... not a sprig of parsley or atleast a nice 'dallop' ... not classy restaurant presentation for sure. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice ambience, but not worth the frustration and not a manager in site to check on diners and people waiting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I am so impressed with Side Track. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment I stepped in the door the ambiance set the mood for a wonderful dining experience[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a main dining room and a front room with bi-fold windows that were open due to the beautiful 70* temp outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This room is perfect if you are sensitive to noise or just are looking for a place with low to no background music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nathan was our waiter and was very knowledgeable on all dishes served. 4 appetizers were ordered for the table PLEASE PLEASE order the Deviled Eggs! I ordered the Prime Bavette with a garlic butter sauce and a side of mashed potatoes. The bavette was cooked to my specifications (medium rare) and the seasoning on top along with the garlic butter were a tasty combination. Mashed potatoes were light and creamy. For dessert I had the coconut tres leches layer cake served with whipped cream and toasted coconut flakes. Also a home run! I was with 4 other people who all enjoyed their orders.

Officially in my Top Two favorite restaurants of all time! Really! We returned Sunday night for a fourth visit after dining at Sidetrack on Thursday night. Two years in a row we visited Chattanooga for Chattajack and ate twice each year at this culinary delight! Tonight did not disappoint! Annalisa, from Tupelo of all places, a fellow Mississippian, took excellent care of us. (Service is top notch always here!) We loaded up again! Starters: Whipped Feta with House-made Pitas, Crispy Okra Chips, and Truffle Fried Mushrooms (3 varieties) and Rosemary. Every bite sensational! Salads: Gem Caesar (1st) and Grilled Gem (3rd) - had the Wedge (2nd) on Thursday. All excellent. Ranked here is our preferences when we return. Opted for Fresh Fish: we both got the Pan Roasted American Red Snapper. Winner! Side: Wood Grilled Okra - perfection! Ending: French Press Velo Decaf coffee with real cream and brown sugar cubes. Side note: started off with a personal tea pot of hot Harney & Sons Japanese Sencha Green Tea with lemon wedges and honey. Even their hot tea tastes amazing! Do they put us under some sort of spell when we walk through the door?! Grand Slam every single time we dine here. What more can I say???

Crispy leeks on happy hour menu.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar at side tracks is intimate and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is always consistently delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It gets packed so go early.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a new, as of April 25, happy hour menu that rocks!

Theirs is always excellent! We had a pitcher of cider sangrias and Cesar salads as well. Everything tasted amazing. So why four stars? Two reasons.... First, two pieces of plastic in my carbonara. I did not say anything due to the second reason. Server didn't seem to be too keen on giving us top notch service. We have taken note that when we are a table of four, they always give us the rundown of the nightly specials. In. Great. Detail. Every time it is just the Husband and I? Nada. Nothing. Not even an introduction by the server this time. It's not the same server either. Happens with whomever we have. Seems to be something that they need to work on at this restaurant. We love this place! Watchman (our server) did a great job when it came to serving the food. But I should not have to ask about the specials nor ask for his name. We always tip more than expected, but when will servers learn that going above and beyond will get them above and beyond the expected tip? Hopefully something changes before our next visit to Chattanooga.

The inside is gorgeous and they have a nice patio as well. Beautiful and low-key but elegant decor. Service was excellent and extremely proficient. Never had to ask twice for something and easily able to answer menu questions and make suggestions. I actually hadn't planned on ordering the Fattoush but, when I said I loved tomatoes it was recommended and I am so glad it was. It was a standout. In the end I ordered 3 things bc I was dining solo: -Hummus with crudité (veggies instead of bread) -Fattoush - seasonal ingredients. -Red Snapper - about 3oz so small portion but perfectly cooked and flavored. Loved this. I very much wanted the knafeh dessert but I knew the portion was big and didn't want to be miserable and waste it. At $14 per glass of wine, we just went for the bottle at $54 and a charcuterie board at $27. We are on vacation, so why not. The view is excellent. The weather cooperated. People watching from on high was fun, and the nature scenery was nice. Service was a little slow, but not an imposition, however, if it gets much busier, that could be a thing. We later learned they previously had a $10 cover, but we did not get asked for this and it must be a thing of the past, or I understand it is waived for guests of the Edwin Hotel (the bar's affiliated with the Edwin) but we had dinner reservations at Whitebird, the affiliated restaurant. The staff is spectacular, the owner is always working the floor, engaging with his customers and they have found a head chef, who is getting recognition locally, for the quality of the food he puts out each and every day they are open. You drill down into the ingredients, where products are sourced, OLR buys local, buys premium, buys fresh, and it all shows in the product they put out onto the table. We were back today for Father's Day, and of course we arrived early as no reservations are accepted. Not a problem, happy to do it, we wanted to be part of that first seating when OMR opened at 11:00a. I would have been happy with ANY ITEM on the days menu, and I went with the Strip Steak and eggs, but got to sample the other selections at the table as well. Two gotcha moments today above and beyond the meal itself, the fresh fig with peach and bacon served when we first sat down.....and for the first time, I had coffee while dining here, it was absolutely delicious.
