The individuals that were on the tour with me made it even more fun. Our tour guide and driver, Tony, was very knowledgable about the area, its history, and wine making. They texted me the night before and the day of the tour reminding about the pick date & time. I really appreciated that they offer transportation. Tony picked me up from the hotel, along with other individuals of the tour, and he also dropped us off at the end of the tour. The drive was really fun because Tony let us take over the aux. He's also very knowledgable about the area, so we learned a lot about Temecula's history and other wineries during the drive. At the end of the tour, Tony even gave us dinner recommendations based on our preferences. Thank you Tony! We visited three different wineries: Wilson Creek Winery, Cougar Vineyard & Winery, and Fazeli Cellars Winery. My favorite winery from the three was Wilson Creek Winery. We tasted 6 wines at Wilson Creek, 5 wines at Cougar, and 6 wines at Fazeli! We had a guided tour by "Motor City Mike" at Wilson Creek. He is an incredible teacher. He gave us a tour around the winery, educated us about viniculture and corks, and taught us about the Wilson's history. They also acknowledged my birthday by giving me a necklace with a cork on it. Such a sweet gesture. We did not have a guided tour at the other two wineries. Lunch was included. While booking on their website, you get to choose which sandwich you'd like. We ate lunch at the Cougar Vineyard & Winery. I chose the roast beef sandwich, and it comes with a side of salad and a brownie. The winery is absolutely beautiful and the views are breathtaking. The best part is that they're pet-friendly! They even have adoption opportunities, and you can meet the puppies! I completely forgot the names of the wine I tasted, but I thought the wine was okay. Our last stop was at Fazeli Cellars Winery. The structure and outdoor area is very nice. Service is very courteous, attentive, and knowledgable. I thought it was unique because their wine contains interesting ingredients, especially the sweet wines. A friend I met on the tour ordered a flat bread, and we shared it. The flat bread was delicious and paired well with the wine. Highly recommend Grapeline Wine Tours! This was an unforgettable birthday experience. My only critique is that I prefer a guided tour at each winery because I'd like to learn more about its history, their own wine, and their own techniques in wine making.

All the communication was confusing the emails said one thing and they group text with others numbers as well. There were many numbers to call like three different ones. Then they made us do a mandatory 20$ tip per person before the tour which I found confusing because our original ticket was already more. We asked to waive it but they couldn't its thier policy. The bus tour had 30 people in it so it was cramped. The tour itself was cool three spots and hour spent on each site. But it felt more like a promotional tour.

I could not have asked for a better team to spend my wine tour with. Liz was funny, out-going, and always available to take a picture for you. Since no birthday celebration in wine country would be complete without a wine tour, I reached out to one of their recommended wine tour companies, Tour del Vino. We've done group wine tours before and while large groups can be fun, this time we wanted something private and a little more pampered, and that's exactly what we got. From the very first contact, Sue was amazing. While I had pinpointed a few wineries we were interested in visiting, she asked thoughtful questions to make sure she could create the exact experience we were looking for. She then took care of everything, essentially acting as our personal coordinator for the day. Sue arrived promptly at the bed and breakfast in a luxurious Denali stocked with bottled water, and our day began. Our first winery was Danza del Sol, where we enjoyed a private patio tasting with our own sommelier. Granted, it was early in the day and still early in the year, but I actually highly recommend that timing (the off-season) if you truly want to learn about wine. We were able to ask questions and learn so much. As we enjoyed a special food and wine pairing that Sue had arranged, overlooking the vineyard, we toasted to what was already shaping up to be a perfect day. Our next stop was Altisima, where Sue had arranged a beautiful lunch with a stunning view. We tasted five wines during lunch and ran a little behind schedule for our next stop, but that was no problem at all, Sue simply called ahead and took care of everything. On the drive between wineries, the conversation flowed easily and Sue shared interesting background about the area, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Our final stop was Doffo, where we explored part of the "Motodoffo Collection" (vintage motorcycles and memorabilia) before settling onto a quiet patio as the sommelier brought out our tastings. It was the perfect ending to the day. At each winery, Sue took photos for us, guided us through the property, and introduced us to our hosts. It was obvious she had wonderful relationships with everyone involved. It was also clear she had told each winery that we were celebrating my husband's birthday, because at every stop he received a special treat: sparkling wine, churros, and even an extra taste of port. Sue drove us back to the bed and breakfast and told me to text her if we needed any recommendations during the rest of our stay. And I did! The next evening we wanted to go out for dinner, but many places close early in the area. Sue texted me three restaurant recommendations; but she didn't just send the names, she sent the menus for each one. One of my favorite quotes is, "Go the extra mile, it's never crowded." Sue truly lives by that philosophy. She and Tour del Vino are in a class of their own. On a 5-star scale, I give Tour del Vino a 10.

It was from 12-4 and included lunch at one of the breweries. The tour bus picked us up ON TIME, at my buddy's house. The drivers name was "Kenny". He kind of reminds me of Larry the cable guy with a gray beard Hahaha. He was very laid back and a great people person. The bus was also very clean and had a great stereo system. We were able to plug in our phones, play our own music, full blast, no problemo. Our intentions was to visit 4 breweries in 4 hours but we were only able to make it to 3. We visited Iron Fire, Refuge and Black Market Brewing Company. The breweries are only about 5-10 minutes from each other and each one of our stops included 4 tasters. At our last stop Kenny had about 5 pizzas waiting for us. At this point I don't remember where the pizza was from, or whether it was good or not, I just remember scarfing down about three slices. We had a private group of 14 people (16 gets you a discount). Each one of us paid $90 ($76 w/ discount). Unfortunately my pregnant wife couldn't partake in the drinking part of the tour but still had to pay full price. Cash tips are also highly recommended at the end of the tour. Kenny our tour guide, does carry "Square" so your able to pay for your tour with plastic. If your thinking about booking this tour DO IT! I highly recommend it for you and your friends. If you have questions about my personal experience (from what I can remember) I'de be glad to answer. There are things I left out purposely lol.
