Came for Lucas Zelnick on a Thursday. Venue is modest and love the table seating versus stadium/theater seating atmosphere for a comedy show, very intimate. Service was quick and fast. I only had a coffee in an attempt to meet my two drink minimum but it of course was diner-esque coffee. Nothing special so I didn't have another and we were full from dinner so didn't purchase anything else. $3 for each "two item minimum" was added to the tab (it's two item min per person so $6 charge if you bought nothin). I don't mind that because the venue and staff gotta get their bread. I think that's fair especially for the price of the tickets (affordable). Watched my favorite comedian here Bob Marley. We were the first to sit down and order but the last of the people to get our drink. Was really shocked. Got a beer and wine not even anything difficult. 2 item minimum order per person in the show room but you can get a bottle water to count too. Their cheeseburger dip was insanely good but such a small portion see pic. I also got their cheesecake it was just okay. read more

We had a great night and saw not only the headline act but 2 lead in acts as well. We laughed for over 2 hours. It's a great intimate venue with every seat a good one. If you don't want to be part of the act then don't sit up front!!! Tables are designed for a minimum of four and if it's a busy night and it's only 2 of you expect to make new friends sitting with you. Besides whatever your ticket cost is you're required to order each 2 items off the menu also. It was late so we had decided on dessert new York cheesecake which was delicious, a Bavarian pretzel with mustard and all you can eat popcorn too. Each around $8-$10 plus we had sodas to drink. We were very happy and entertained for a great evening out. The comedians perform nightly at this venue and you luck out very often seeing A list comedians coming out just to test out some new material for the night if they are in town. It's located in a strip mall which is also nice because the parking is free and it's not a long walk to the venue like many places. The wait staff is very nice and not pushy. My only complaint that night was that our table cloth needed changing probably an oversight but it was quickly done with no problems. Hope everyone comes out to support this great comedy club so it survives for many generations to come. It was a very nostalgic night for us since we use to go to comedy clubs during our dating days and this was fabulous. Considering what it costs to see a movie and concession stands these days this was a bargain for lots of happy endorphins too!! They've got a bottomless soda drink side splitter souvenir glass which is well worth getting if you are there for dinner time. I already had one at home. Fantastic, intimate comedy club. Shows have a two drink minimum once you are seated. Get there a little early to order drinks/food before the show starts. Not every comedian is a smash hit but they consistently book up and coming talent in addition to tenured stars. Food is good enough if you're hungry but nothing that will knock your socks off. Bottomless popcorn is a solid deal. Openers are usually great. A must visit for local comedy fans. read more

This is my favorite comedy club in the Tampa-Bay area. I've been coming here since the mid-90s. They have top notch comedians on a frequent basis and this smaller sized venue is the perfect way to see them. Other weekends offer up and coming comedians at lower prices, along with open mike events mid-week. Check their schedules on the website. You buy specific seats at https://sidesplitterscomedy.com/ Their is a small $3 service charge on each ticket purchase. Seating is at tables where your "two item per person minimum" is required. Most tables have four seats. Tables in the back have more but I'd recommend sitting groups over four at adjoining tables because they are so close. Food and drinks are brought to your table by wait staff. They also have a bar outside the seating area for pre and post performance drinks and food. Most performances last almost an hour and a half. A new comedian, who has material they are practicing, starts with some venue comments then performs for about ten minutes. They also introduce each comedian and close out the show. A second comedian performs for a set period of about 20 minutes. Then the headliner is on for roughly 45 minutes. Often the comedians go to the bar area after the show where you can get pictures with them and purchase any merchandise they offer. Drinks are okay with beer, wine, seltzers and limited cocktails. Mixed drinks are weak but tasty. I think they want patrons to not get drunk and ruin the performances. So recommend sticking to canned drinks or wine. Food is terrible. On my last visit I tried the pork sliders, which was 2 on a stale bun. There is almost nothing inside the bun. Then a pile of chips (they actually gave us the bottom of the bag for the entire pile). Disappointed for $11. Also tried the cuban, which is more like a panini based on the bread. They bring you packets of mustard. This was better than the sliders but just barely. At least this one had normal sized chips. Unless you are starving I would highly recommend steering clear of any food. Even the popcorn is disappointing. Still a great four star experience, especially if you see a quality headliner. read more

We came here yesterday, Saturday night, for a show. Overall it was not a bad venue. The seating arrangement is well thought out, at least for us purchasing tickets within the first few tables away from the stage. The ones further back did not look too shabby either. The wait service was good and the three drink orders we placed while seated came out fairly quickly. The mixed drinks did not taste watered down, which is another plus. My biggest complaint, as it was from the headliner too during his show, was the lack of A/C and it being warm and stuffy in there. We felt he cut his act off a little early due to this issue, but I/we could be wrong. I think we will be back for another show and if they don't take care of the A/C, or lack thereof, then we probably won't be back after that. read more

It's understandable that an item minimum might seem unusual to those who may not frequent comedy clubs, but a 2-item minimum is standard across the board, across the nation, & across all club types. Most used to actually be a 2 drink minimum. I have always found the requirement easy to meet, even if I'm not hungry or drinking alcohol, because bottled water/tea count! It was my first time here, we came because one of my favorite comedians from hometown was coming, the event started just 5 min after it was supposed, for that was great. As a business they have the policy that you have to order 2 items per person, which I understand but the food menu was pretty basic and plain, so if you have to get the 2 items is better if you just get a couple beers, service was average, however the fact that they made our guy suddenly ended his set was very disappointing, I completely understand places got closing times, but they were very rude with him, you can tell he was annoyed by the fact that they were hurry him up. The place looks cool, they have a bar outside and also a little place for small shows outside the big room, plenty of parking space because it's in a huge plaza. read more

This venue is outstanding! I've been here many times. I really appreciate that you can choose your seats ahead of time, so you know exactly where you'll be sitting when you arrive. If you run into any issues with your tickets, their communication--both by email and phone--is excellent. Every visit has been a positive one. Everything is simple and smooth, from start to finish. The comedians they bring in are always hilarious. I also love the size of the space--it's small, which makes it feel more intimate and personal. Servers are always attentive and prompt and very professional. The only food I have tried was the charcuterie board and it was delicious. There are mixed reviews about the 2 item minimum per person. I can see the pros and the cons. It's just a really cool place. I definitely recommend it! read more

Trash establishment. No security, neither for patrons or comedians. Food is terrible. Eggrolls bad, cheese burger dip bad, pretzels are even bad. Drinks were delicious but that wasn't enough ot save the expirence. About an hour after the show was supposed to begin, they let's us know it wasn't happening due to technical issues. Obviously, you'd think they'd give you a refund or at the very least comp your shitty food. Nope. Full price for everything. Steve-o, tonight's entertainment, demanded the club give refunds and they agreed to refund anyone who emailed them. So far, no response to the the email, and it seems they did this to avoid giving refunds. Trash establishment, trash service, trash sounds guy, but good bartenders. The bartenders should find another job, and this club should either close or go to being a club for open mics only. How you have the big names you do, makes no sense. You dont deserve the talent that walks into that place. I'd say do better, but after two days in your establishment, I don't see how you could. read more

My friend told me about Side Splitters Comedy Club - Best Comedy Club in Tampa and i told her she needs to take me one day, then she did! We went to a later show and saw the main comedian Erica Rhodes. Before she went on we got to watch two other comedians who were also super funny. Got some breadsticks and a strawberry piña colada which was delicious. The stage and room wasn't perfect and the audio was super clear.If you're a tampa local and you haven't stopped by you definitely need to! (ticket prices vary ours was $32) read more

Unfortunately, I have only 85 characters to describe how under entertained we were by our experience. I have had more laughs at the protologist. Old joke, but better than what they were serving. My cuban sandwich was burnt and smaller than an uncrustable. There was nothing to laugh about especially for the cost. 5 beers, cuban, nachos, vodka cranberry, $66+ 14 tip. I attended the Adult Bingo & Naughty Games night at Five Splitters in Tampa, and it was definitely a wild and unforgettable experience. Upon arrival, guests check in online and show their confirmation email to receive a bingo card, pen, and drop their name into a bucket for the games. The show kicked off around 10:30 PM to a sold-out crowd. The host made a bold entrance wearing a giant inflatable prop, accompanied by an assistant in bondage gear--definitely setting the tone for the evening. There is a requirement for two items purchase per guest. Later on the assistant did upper less show and strip into a bikini and her nipples had pasties. The first round of games was a naughty twist on Cards Against Humanity, where randomly selected audience members competed against three female comedians to complete outrageous phrases on the bingo sheet. In the event of a tie, participants were sent onstage for a sexy dance-off. Between rounds, there were outrageous volunteer-based mini-games, like removing a plastic banana up and down someone's leg using only your tongue, or transferring water mouth-to-mouth into a bottle. Winners received adult-themed prizes--ranging from stickers and condoms to toys like anal beads or nipple clamps. The second bingo game, "Daddy Says," involved random dares determined by the comedians and voted on by the crowd. Some challenges included spelling your name with your tongue on a stranger's chest or biting a stranger's lip. As the night progressed, things got wilder--many attendees got topless, mostly women, and given the amount of filming and photo-taking, it was a bit concerning from a privacy standpoint. Overall, it was entertaining to observe and certainly full of energy, but not something I'd personally take part in. Most of the enthusiastic participants seemed very comfortable with exhibitionism or possibly part of online adult platforms. If you're into outrageous humor, adult games, and don't mind a boundary-pushing crowd, this event might be right up your alley. read more

Easy to find location, tons of parking, friendly staff, great shows and nice room set up.

A friend and I saw Pinky Patel and Eli Rodriguez here in January. The place was great and I liked how the servers were available. At some comedy clubs the servers disappear after you order your first round and it is a chore to get them back. We didn't get food, but the snacks at the table next to us smells good. My one complaint are the seats up front. We had seats at the stage. Happy dance for that. Being that close made it a bit uncomfortable. Straining our necks to look up at the comedians was not fun after a while. If the chairs reclined back just a little bit, or were more like bucket seats to have a more natural angle to watch the show from the close would have been perfect. read more

The last time I saw a comedy show here was in the very early '90's, when Emo Phillips was in town. Life, three kids, etc., I finally returned to Side Splitters to celebrate the birthday of a friend who was now also a new co-worker. After my visit in late June 2021, I feel like I've been missing out on a LOT of good comedy. Since I hadn't been here in years, I wasn't sure what to expect. I honestly barely remember seeing Emo, aside from our table right up front and memories of great laughs. So when my friend invited me & hubs to join her with some of her friends & co-workers for her birthday, I thought it would be fun with a bigger group. And I was not wrong! At my age, a drink minimum doesn't surprise me, but not everyone in our group was aware of this. And pre-show drinks from the lobby bar don't count. I'll note that a bottle of water runs about $3.25 in the theatre, and DOES apply toward the 2-drink minimum. Again, I was not bothered, as I almost definitely would've ordered two drinks over the two & a half hours anyway. Because our group was about 9 people, we were seated at two tables close together. But that was not relevant; once the lights dimmed, I was laughing too much to chit chat. Our server quietly visited quite often so we never waited for anything. Food is also available, though we'd eaten dinner already. First, we watched video previews of comedians scheduled to appear at Side Splitters soon. This was great to get us in the mood to laugh, plus I made a mental note about a comedienne coming in early September 2021. Then the emcee entertained us for a few minutes, followed by two other comedians with sets of 20-30 minutes each. Both were great. Then the headliner came out for over an hour, and he was really funny as well. We had a fun night at Side Splitters, and I thoroughly enjoyed ALL of the comedians. Some of the comics lingered in the lobby and we were able to get photos with them. The bartender even offered to take a group photo for us, which was awesome. Though I attended with comp tickets, prices on their website were super reasonable, around $12. I am definitely coming back soon for more laughs. read more

Had a friend-date here on 4/16 to see an early evening show starring JR Guzman. The show was sold out so the room was TIGHT. Aside from the one woman in the crowd that had an exaggerated loud laugh lol the comedy show was great! The host was not as funny as I thought he could've been but I'm sure that had something to do with not outshining the main act. All the comedians leading up to JR Guzman's stand up were hilarious. They make it look easy! JR offered comedy with a musical twist. Very laid back and funny. His songs were catchy and comical. He emphasized unity in a world full of division. I would definitely return to see other comics in the future. Food coming out was slow but our server was very attentive and the warm pretzels with cheese were good enough to order twice. Parking was not a hassle which was an added bonus. read more

Last night was my first time there, I bought tickets for my partner for Christmas. We saw Eric Neumann (who I have seen on IG and TikTok a few times). There were a few different comedians that opened for him. The show was really funny and enjoyed the different comedians. The service was decent and the seating was a bit awkward. The tables each had 4 chairs at them but the tables were the smallest tables I had ever seen. I guess this was to pack more people in the room but I guess just don't expect to be too comfortable and just remember you're going for the laughs. We will definitely be back for future shows but maybe not in the front row. read more

This was our first time at Side Splitters. We had a great time seeing Ari Shaffir in Feb 2025. We had bought our tickets closer in and still had great seats. The process was easy from purchasing tickets, parking, checking in, etc. The staff were super friendly. The food wasn't super great. I don't have crazy high expectations but I've been to a decent amount of comedy clubs and their food is usually good enough for the atmosphere; I would recommend getting some type of drink for the two item limit. For reference, we ordered quesadillas and nachos. But this was a great venue! It was cool seeing the compilation of where and how many times this club has been mentioned in media by comedians. Came here to see Zoltan Kaszas (headliner) on the Friday after Thanksgiving for the 8pm show. The staff was really great. Brought to our table right away and our server (Erika?) was awesome. My friends ordered some of the bavarian pretzels for a snack. They both reported it to be very dry and not really good at all. Not sure I would typically order food at a place like this with any high expectations so I wasn't surprised. I was surprised to learn that this place has been around for 30 years. One of my friends had said that he hadn't been here in at least 15 years. The host and feature performer were great. Zoltan, the headliner, was just incredible! Nonstop laughter from the entire crowd throughout the whole 50-minute set (give or take 10 mins as I seriously lost track of time. I appreciate that the comedians have to find ways to earn a living, but each of them had something for sale on the way out and each for a different cause. One had bracelets, one had hot sauce, and Zoltan had t-shirts. You can imagine how this ends up when over 100 people leave the club all at the same time and forming lines to buy stuff. This was somewhat disappointing. I'd still come back here though. They do have some great talent that performs here. read more

Tables were jammed together so tight! My husband is 6'4'' and he could hardly move. We had to eat our food on our laps because we didn't have room to turn to the table. Also, a woman came into the club with a fluffy little dog and sat at our table. I'm very allergic to dogs and had to take meds and scratch all through the show! Comedy club is no place for pets. My wife and I went with some friends to see Ginger Billy! The funny redneck from tik-tok. The show was fantastic and funny and we are glad we went! I've never been to Side Splitters Comedy Club before. We had a seat in the raised area in the back for 6 of us. The seats were pretty packed in and there wasn't a ton of space between tables. Luckily, my wife and were on the end by a wall so it was a little more roomy. Our server came around and started us with drinks. Side Splitters has a two item minimum. Each person at the table had to order two things. The prices weren't bad so it wasn't the worst. Our server was nice and laid back. He started out with a list of items they were out of for the kitchen. Not a good thing since it was only the first of 3 shows for the night. My wife and I split the Bavarian pretzels with the cheese sauce for an extra $.75. They were warm, soft and the cheese was tasty. We enjoyed them. We also split the loaded nachos with ground beef added on for an extra $4. The nachos were again, tasty. You can't go wrong with chips covered in beef, cheese, salsa and sour cream. My brother ordered the Cuban Wrap. At $9.50, it didn't sound so bad. Until he got it. The wrap was small and initially thought maybe he only received half of it. Since we were at a comedy club, he pointed to it, and said, "Now that's a joke." It was tasty but not worth it. All in all, we had a good time. Good friends, enjoying some laughs with some drinks and food. I've never been to a comedy show before and not sure I'd even go back to one. Last night was my first visit here, and I found it pretty comparable to the other comedy clubs in the area with a great headliner, good service, and marginal food. Our party of six was sat quickly at a large table after the doors opened, and our server came right over to get us started on drinks. They do have a "two item" requirement per person, but since that includes both food and drinks, it was pretty easy to meet. The Moscow mule I had to drink was good, and the quesadilla special I had to eat, consisting of "meat and cheese" (that's how it was described to me) was unmemorable. Fortunately, our server was excellent about keeping our unlimited popcorn coming, and she stopped by on a regular basis to make sure everyone had what they needed. Typical of comedy clubs, there was an emcee, who was nice, but not very funny, then two up and coming comedians, one who was funny, and the other who was terrible, and then the star of the show. This night, the star was Dat Phan, and he was hilarious. Well worth the cost of admission. Parking was easy because it's a huge strip mall shopping center, service was friendly, and the headliner a riot, so I would definitely come back if they had a comedian I was interested in seeing. read more

Top notch comedians as usual tonight. Headliner was Dan Cummins, one of my favorite comedians. Great venue and I had front row seats for the show. Staff was very attentive and we always had a drink. Show was an hour and a half, with close to an hour for headliner. Tickets were super reasonable at $25 each, too! Looking forward to Chad Daniels in 2022! read more
