It was my first time there. I was going for one issue but the nurse asks a lot of questions before you meet the doctor so a few other things came up. I was sent to another room to wait for the doctor. It's a very noisy office and I could hear all the conversations happening outside the door. I heard when the doctor approached the door of the room I was in. I heard the voice of the nurse who had asked me all those questions talking to him about me. I could hear how exasperated she was to tell him allllllllll the issues I had to be addressed. The doctor sounded annoyed. When he came in he took a whole 90 seconds to diagnose and prescribe. I don't mind the efficiency with which he saw me but his attitude during those 90 seconds was unpleasant. Hurried, unfriendly. In the end I got what I needed but felt humiliated. read more

I went with my cousin to see this doctor for her skin problem. After the first visit he told my cousin comes back follow up in 8 weeks which we think it's pretty long timeframe. I came back with her after 8 weeks for follow up, her skin not really recovered and we thought the doctor would at least takes sometimes to examine or prescribe another formula or suggest some skincare treatment like home remedies type and not getting better then come back for so and so treatment plan. We are very disappointed. My cousin was waiting in the patient room (after called in around her appointment time - 5 minutes passed her appointment which is ok) about 45 minutes that the doctor finally came in (PA and assistant seen her first took down notes) and the doctor not even listen to her experience long enough like only came in see her for about 3 minutes then rush going out without examine detail and give professional advices. It was very rush even the PA/assistant more caring than him at least will spend time listen. Her insurance is HMO, but any necessary procedures needed pay cash we have no problem, but this is very unprofessional that we take time off from work and been waiting 8 weeks with this kind of service that waste the time and co-pay. He now told my cousin that come back in 8 months if getting worst or not better than now. 8 months is like almost 1 year. This is ridiculous and careless of patient's concern/ diagnosis. I would not recommend for anyone needs urgent treatment or concern about their serious skin problem. Parking is very small and narrow tight 1 entrance with same way exit. I suggest park on street if you really want to come here for a try or consult/2nd opinion. Staffs never voluntarily give you receipt for co-pay. read more

I checked out many dermatologists around my area and originally chose Dr. Danish because of the convenient location and didn't like the fact that a lot of the other dermatologists were in high traffic medical locations due to covid 19. I came from a different dermatologist who really messed up my skin and Dr. Danesh was able to fix it with no problem. I love everything about this place! From the extremely helpful and smiling staff, to the student helpers and most of all Dr. Danesh! I did a bit of research before choosing Dr. Danesh as my dermatologist because I saw on his website the excellent reviews from celebrities like Sophia Vergara. I brought my grandmother here because she has some dark spots on her arms and face and he immediately assured us that it was just solar lentigines but still spent a lot of time to address my grandmother's concern and also explained to us what the diagnosis is. He has a smile that would brighten up your day and is the funniest doctor I know! I also wanted some advice on hand/nail care because I work part time as a hand model and he gave me some free sample lotions and also assured me that my hands were great! Dr. Danesh embodies every quality you want in your doctor. 1. Not only is the man extremely knowledgeable, he is very up to date with the most current treatment in all kinds of skin disorders. 2. The guy is a people's person, extremely personable, and you can tell he really cares about you. I felt like he treated my grandmother and me like his own family which is what you want from a good doctor. He felt like an old friend I've known from a previous lifetime. 3. He really wants what is best for you and is extremely patient. He addresses all of my questions very thoroughly and also listened to my grandmother and spoke slowly for her (she is hard of hearing). The staff here are also very nice and friendly. The students that work here are also very polite and kind and there are some students who speak Spanish and Mandarin which was helpful for my grandmother because she is more comfortable speaking Mandarin. Some tips: The clinic is only open Monday, Wednesday, Friday (half day) at San Gabriel and he's at the Beverly Hills office Tuesdays and Thursdays. He is also an extremely popular dermatologist so call and book your appointments early (I suggest asking for the earliest time of the day so that you don't have to wait as much). Dr. Gina Danesh also does laser surgery in the other Beverly Hills office so now I have to think of a smart way to convince my girlfriend to go see her lol! After a few days, I'm still dismayed about my visit. I came in early to fill out forms and tried explaining to the blonde lady in the front why I only had my referral number. She quickly interrupted to scold me and said I needed to call my insurance to fax it over or I would not be seen. While being on the phone for over an hour my insurance says they could have simply printed this instantly. The entire time I was doing her leg work she spent boisterously laughing and skindering with another lady with orange hair. When it came to patients she seemed exasperated with them. This review is mainly for the female assistants who work in the front office and the ones who answer the phone. I have never dealt with such rude, uncaring and condescending individuals in my life. Majority of the time when I call to make an appointment or request: a) I will be placed on hold for more than 20 minutes, b) If no one answers and after I left a voice message, no one will return my call, c) worst of all, when I finally get to speak to someone over the phone, she will give me an attitude as if I am bugging her and that she is too busy to answer my question. And they will hang up on you! I am not sure if Dr. Danesh actually is aware of his front office staff's despicable behavior, especially those two who sit behind and by the window. I do appreciate Dr. Danesh's service. However, I really had it! The good of Dr. Danesh just doesn't make up the bad from those girls. So I will be switching to a different doctor soon. Bottom line, if you don't care being consistently bombarded with attitude (worse than what you would normally expect from DMV) from those above mentioned female employees who are extremely unhelpful and have no compassion for their patients, go ahead and see it for yourself. i was a patient here for a few years but from the first visit i felt like they didnt care about me the first visit the office was so full with people we had to stand outside but while i was filling out paperwork all i heard was gossip between the 3 girls behind the counter talking about patients and other coworkers 35 min of waiting after my appointment time they let me in to a room one guy came in asked about my issues and wrote it all down next the dr came in about 5-8 min later and i expressed that i would like to do more aggressive treatment he said all i needed was clobetasol and "you will never get better" talk about hurting someones self esteem... the whole consultation with the dr lasted 2.5 minutes pretty pathetic since it was my first visit here.. he gave me some samples of cream and we tried to leave but the whole office was gone to lunch and the doctor went the other way .. we were locked in the office and i had to unlock the door to leave .. the rude girls in the front office were gone and the lights were off so i couldn't get my license back from them i ended up going back the next day and they told me "you left it here" .. no you were gone and locked me in the office! i did go back a few times and got refills on my prescriptions and finally the last time i was there i already had enough and i told them i need real help my Psoraisis has now covered 40% of my body he said he would help but in the end nothing happened again so i gave up for a year or two until i found a new Dr in Pomona that right away told me i was a candidate for biologics but due to covid 19 he preferred i not go on them so for the last 5 months i have been doing different treatments and now i am on a biologic .. do research on your dermatologist do not just take the referral from your regular doctor that is how i got stuck with this Danish guy my current dermatologist has fought for my medicines to be covered by insurance something that i was told many times by dr Danish that my insurance wont cover review of the office, the office is run down looking and in a old complex parking is a pain and if you need to go in the elevator (my other dr used to be in the same medical building) the elevator smells of hydraulic fluid and takes forever to go up 1 floor.. building is super old so i guess that is why my overall consensus is to run from this place they are always "too busy" to get you a appointment and you will feel like cattle with how packed they are and how quickly they rush you out they just want your insurance money and co-payment and really dont care about your health its taken me a long time to write this review i wanted to do it 2 years ago but it wouldnt have been this nice .. i had a lot of anger and resentment that he would tell me that i will never get better and also not even try to get medicines covered by my insurance that may help me from itiching all night and looking like a walking scab if you have psoraisis i really hope you can find a doctor that cares about you more then your insurance money read more

Went here for the first time based off the yelp reviews, and it did not disappoint! Everyone was very nice, and I was seen right away. I wish I had asked my primary doctor to refer me to someone else. Or that this office schedules their appointments better instead of constantly overbooking. I waited 65 minutes in the lobby even though I had a scheduled appointment and then another 30 minutes in a back patient room for the doctor. They over book their appointments and don't tell you honest wait times. If the receptionist had just told me it would be 1.5 hours just to see the doctor even with my appointment, then I would have checked in, paid my copayment, filled out info, then run errands or get food around the area for 2 hour and come back to wait the remaining 30 minutes at the office. Instead she told me it'll be about 15 minutes and made me waste 1.5 hours that I could have been productive. read more

I would *NOT* recommend this dermatologist. Granted, I saw him maybe 12 years ago, but I would definitely have a hard time believing that he changed much for the better. I used to have a mole that grew right between my eyes on the bridge of my nose -- incredibly embarrasing and when my parents finally decided to get it removed (I was 16 at the time), they decided on Dr. Danesh (his office was close by). The doctor saw me and remarked that cutting it off would solve all of my problems; no scar, no anything -- which contradicted what a dermatologist that I had seen before had said, which was "if you remove the growth, it may still come back". This was also around the time when laser treatments were still pretty new. While me and my dad were at his office, he also convinced my dad to have the milia around his eyes removed -- which i considered completely unnecessary at the time, but my dad seemed keen on the idea. The whole interaction seemed like one a used car salesmen would make when he's trying to sell the optional equipment. Anyway, Dr. Danesh cut off the mole but a couple weeks later after the skin grew back, the area had dark pigmentation. Instead of a bumpy mole between my eyes, it was now just a flat mole between my eyes. At the time, he assured me that the there would be no scarring or indication that a mole was ever there. Guess he was wrong. I eventually sought treatment from another doctor who gave me the results I wanted. Long story short, Sid Danesh was unsatisfactory and seemed more like a used car salesman than a real doctor. read more

I have not been back to this dermatologist since my initial review 3 days ago, but my mother received a call this morning from Sid Danesh after coming across what I had written. He attempted to clarify what had happened between the receptionist and I, and he even offered to give back the money we had paid upon that specific visit. He claims to "know" my brother and I, and he even went as far as to say my brother is like a son to him. And perhaps this really is a gesture indicating that he genuinely cared about fixing what had happened the last time we were there...but then he asked my mother to persuade me to remove my picture off Yelp because there are crazy people out there. Um? I don't understand the intention of such an action unless he wants to me to discredit myself as a Yelper because without a photo, I look like a fake account. Could he honestly be making the suggestion for my own good? It's possible. I don't much care to ponder that any further, but I will up my rating by a star because he made the effort to reach out. read more

It was a bit my fault since i forgot my health insurance card ....after spending an hr on the phone trying to get my insurance card faxed over the receptionist says "Maybe I can get it off the system"....3 minutes later she says "ok i got it"...really?!?! Why couldnt she get it from the beggining? seems like lazyness to me....now im in the waiting room for about 40 minutes for the doctor to come in reading all theese reviews realizing they are mostly true. This is one of the worst practices in San Gabriel Valley. Years ago, my dad only wanted to get a mole removed, Dr. Danesh proceeded to talk about correcting everything BUT the removal of the moles, and made him spend a large sum of unnecessary money out of pocket. He also didn't do a very good job, as one mole was not completely removed, which also later got infected. Unfortunately my mother didn't know which doctor this was and went in as well to get a consultation on getting a mole removed. The appointment setter/secretary was extremely rude to my mom. It was cold and blustery outside, and my mom had arrived maybe a few minutes prior to opening their doors after lunch time. Although they were in the office by that time, the secretary blazed past my mom to enter the office, and as my mom was about to ask a question, the front staff basically yelled, "NO!" slamming the door behind her and not even looking at my mom. So seeing as my mom did have an appointment, my mom goes out to fill papers out anyway. They practically threw these papers at my mom. Asking for the release of responsibility for any and all issues, which my mother refused to sign. On top of that, there was another form that included a very unfair payment schedule, stating basically that the office could change charges or fees at anytime, and that it is the responsibility of the patient to ask for a mailed copy of these fee changes. Just to let you know, the doctor is knowledgeable and seems caring. The reason I'm only giving him 1 star? The wait! The horrible wait. Unless you have the first appointment of the day, you are going to wait at least an hour before being called in. Then expect to wait another 15 - 20 minutes in the exam room before you actually see him. He has students and interns working here as well and they often follow him when he checks in on you. So things may be awkward if you have something gross. Overall I would not come back only because it takes almost 90 minutes between the time you show up to when you see the doctor. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Danesh for my acne for over a year and I couldn't be happier with my results. I have gotten 5 micro-needling treatments done and I am amazed at the results. I am so self conscious about my scarring because my acne was so severe, but now after the treatment I no longer worry if someone can see my scarring. I'm writing this review on behalf of myself and my fiance. My fiancé is actually the one that introduced me to Dr.Danish. She comes her for her acne. Although I think she is beautiful no matter what I have definitely seen a change since she's been coming here. She's more confident in the way she presents herself because of Dr. Danish. In addition she no longer complains to me about how much pain she is because of cysts she used to get. She's very excited to see what continual visits will bring. I've met with the Dr. Two times for skin tags on my neck. I'm INDIAN so I get these little dark tags which in time I know can get bigger. My next visit we will be taking care of more of them in preparation for the wedding! All I can say is Dr. Danish is not only professional, approachable, but a true miracle worker on skin. They say they'll get back to you after 24 hours. I've called 3 times and nobody got back to me. I called about my 4 year old and needed their assistance. My sons pediatrician referred me to them as well. It really sucks when you need help and someone isn't there for you. I left 3 messages each time I called in a slow manner so there no reason why they shouldn't have called back. Til this day no return call. I ended up going to another dermatologist in Pasadena. Dr. Danesh is an amazing physician. I came here about a year ago for a random lump i noticed on my chest. With a warm and welcoming introduction, Dr Danesh informed me that it was just a keloid, nothing too serious. He suggested a steroid injection, so we proceeded. After the treatment, my keloid has fully healed. Not only was my visit a success, but I also appreciated the the staff's hospitality that made my visit that much better. Dr.Danesh is a good, fast, and efficient doctor, however I have to give minus one star for the wait time. The last time I came we waited around an hour with an appointment before we were able to see the doctor. The surgery the doctor ended up performing on my boyfriend was very meticulously done and quick so we're really happy about that. I think because the doctor is so popular and has so many patients, the wait time is pretty long. For some reason whenever I called ahead and asked the front desk employees about current wait time they always said no wait time although I always waited for at least 20 minutes after arriving. On a more positive note, the doctor is really funny & fun/has a good sense of humor. The other nurses/doctor aids are really great as well and super informative/helpful to all our inquiries. So where to begin. I am currently going through my insurance to speak to them regarding how they took care of me. I had initially gone in to get a mole checked out amongst other things. They told me that it wasn't a issue it look fine to them no follow up was needed. I then said well I know it's grown a bit and changed color because I have noticed it. They said ok we can get a sample biopsy to see what it could be. A week later I get a call from some lady saying it was abnormal and the doctor wants to see me again to go over the results. I wasn't given a copy of what the results where because they wouldn't give it to me they wanted me to go in instead. But lady told me it was" urgent " or "ASAP" for me to see them. I frantically then said fine I'll go in. I then was told by Dr. Danish I needed to get more of it removed so they can check if it's malignant or not because they "didn't know". I was worried that would happen that they will scar me more because well what was the first sample biopsy for then ? You know. I said I'll think about it. I then went back and got more removed because of what I was told seen it was abnormal and that they can't identify if it's malignant. Well I then start to realize you know what doesn't hurt to get a copy finally of the first visit when they nicked me to get that first sample. Well I saw the notes and said what it was and it the comment said "no sign of malignancy" I am thankful for the fact that it wasn't. But I was completely fooled and scared for the fact that they were saying it was abnormal to me in person and that they weren't sure if it was malignant. I am beyond furious because it's not right that they got my insurance to cover the biopsy twice. If they would have given me the results from the begging of it I would haven't had this ugly scar on my body that i am now so self conscious about. I get it you guys are money hungry but to scare a patient about their own health is far unethical. I knew from the start when the Dr didn't care to even let me know what the other cosmetic issues I was dealing with wouldn't tell me exactly why I was having it I knew that they wouldn't care for me. It was only my second time visiting today, but it was just as great as first time. Even with a waiting room filled with patients, people were seen relatively quickly. I had a biopsy done by Dr. Danesh. The procedure was very fast with minimal pain. Dr. Danesh is very friendly and has a great sense of humor. He is very knowledgeable and patient and always answers any questions you have. His students are also wonderful and help you any way they can. Is there an option for ZERO STARS? The entire medical office is a joke. Loud waiting room. Receptionists that don't even know how to check insurance correctly. Dr. Danesh has these medical students that "work" with him (basically peel sheets off the prescription pad for him) but they never introduce themselves or even explain what they are doing. I was left wondering why I was seeing several different doctors with different people going in and out of the room. It should be common courtesy to explain to your patients why there's an extra person in the room during the consultation.... Dr. Danesh himself was a terrible listener, absolutely does not seem like he cares for his patients. Interrupted me every chance he got and even made rude remarks about my skin. Ignored what I had to say and even tried to blame me for the cause of the skin problems when I explicitly said I didn't do any of the things he mentioned! The wait time didn't take that long. Office looked clean but my main issue is Dr. Danesh didn't look into my concern very well. He literally just talked to me for one minute. Didn't ask me for any other concerns. Just gave me some prescriptions. Heck, the assistants were more help although I wished the doctor would spend more time one on one rather than coming in having a bunch of assistants inside. The front office at this place is staffed by an incompetent staff. I was charged 3 times my copay because the receptionist doesn't know how to read an insurance information. When i corrected her, she insisted on charging me the wrong amount. When I asked her to give me the name/number of the person that handles billing, she gave me some random name of a person who wasn't in the office as well as the office fax machine. Good thing the competent staff at the Beverly Hills office was able to correct a simple mistake that neither of the 3 people at this office were able or willing to. Poor customer service. read more

Dr. Danesh saved my life as I had a life threatening disease that went undiagnosed for a year by my old dermatologist. I went to him on a referral from a co-worker and thank goodness I did. He is very highly skilled and quickly diagnosed my disease and was able to treat it with some assistance from the USC Hospital and infusion center. Dr. Danesh is not someone I would return to not recommend. He had removed my milias, or tried to lets just say, and promised that he would remove ALL of them and that there would not be scarring. He attempted to remove a few and it felt very invasive, which he did not warn me of, all the pricking with the needles. I left the office red ad felt ripped off and lied to. I saw Dr. Danesh a few years ago when I was referred to him from my GP. I called for an appointment a few weeks ago to talk to him about having some elective procedures done. Once I got to my appointment, I was told by the staff that there would be a $70 non-refundable consultation fee that may or may not apply to the services if I decided to have them performed. I am not sure why I was not told about this over the phone which would have saved me a lot of time. I found the office staff to be rude and unprofessional. read more

I had a one time appointment here. The doctor was nice. He couldn't do much for me. He had two medical students in the room as well. I was not to thrilled about that.
