So yes, had I gone with that company, it would have cost me $2300. Armed with this information, I posted pictures and exactly what the "diagnosis" said and asked for emailed quotes...to be clear I said EMAIL only. I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Lakeland Heating and Cooling (Jason) was nothing like that... $1270 flat rate to replace the water heater. Yes, thats how he replied in his email.. as I requested. He came in.. with the water heater... replaced it... and went on his way. Other companies, that followed directions, also came in higher than $2000. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with Jason and Lakeland! No walls were going to be opened and he would take fine care of me. Even sent me pictures of other jobs he had done. He arrived about an hour later and had me kill the water to the house. About 45 minutes to maybe an hour later, I not only had a new cartridge installed, but also a new escutcheon plate, pull handle and a new fully functioning shower diverter. I paid for the work done, you can't get quality work and expect to pay discount prices.
