I researched several spas, reached out to a couple, but Jana with Lotus Home was by far the most communicative. She responded to my emails with questions quickly. she took care of all the planning since decor is not my strong suit, and I didn't want my wife to have to think about anything. Jana put together a schedule where everyone got their treatments at the same times, so they were able to also relax and enjoy the facility together. When the car dropped my wife and her friends back off at my house, you could see how relaxed all of them were, just in their faces and bodies. I've heard from them all that the service and experience was next level and they will all go back when they want some pampering. Most importantly, the wife LOVED it, the service and attention was top notch. The treatments were calming, the food was plentiful, and the beverages were perfect. The Decorations were above and beyond and her friends have told her we need a floating fruit try for our hot tub at home now. I would 110% recommend this place, especially if you're looking for a private and relaxing event for a spouse or yourself. the cost is more than reasonable for what you're getting. They will plan everything for you, or will happily work with you if you want to plan it too. Thanks Jana, you made 40 my wife's best birthday yet.

I made some last minute add-ons to the initial order and Lotus home was incredibly accomodating. Jana and her team work tirelessly to ensure a most zen and pampering experience. Couples massage: Jen and Jade were beyond professional and relatable. They first sat us down and asked if we'd had massages before, if there were any spots they should avoid or focus on. We had an actual conversation prior to the treatment and their delivery was spot on. I so appreciate how Jen and Jade allowed us to enjoy our massage in silence. And every so often, when I had a comment, they chimed in and laughed with my honey and I! Then back to silent enjoyment. Through the entire massage, I felt they were very present, engaging, professional, and kind. Couples facial: Amanda and Tamara were so knowledgeable and skilled in their craft! Every question that my sweetheart and I had regarding skincare, Amanda and Tamara answered. Personally, it can be a jarring experience for me, having someone work so closely to my face. But Tamara's energy was inviting and safe and she was so gentle! After the facial, Amanda and Tamara checked in with how my sweetheart and I were feeling and gave us privacy to slowly get ready for our next experience. Pool/Hot tub: Is there truly a better way to end the day than to soak in a hot tub with palm trees and cabanas? I think not. Part of the deal was a beverage tray and floating food tray. First, Jana knew that my sweetheart and I don't drink alcohol, so Jana prepared non-alcoholic champagne! This was a special treat for us, as normally, we simply deny the alcohol and swallow the cost (that's already included in the deal). It was incredibly thoughtful of Jana to have something else prepared for us to enjoy. Along with the non-alcoholic champagne, she prepared clarifying mint tea, coffee, and sparkling mineral water. So refreshing as we floated in bliss. Then came the food tray. Oh. My. Droooooool. Tiramisu birthday cake, the biggest raspberry macaron, a quarter pineapple artfully displayed in the shell, crisp green grapes, literally the best turkey/bacon sandwich, and a delectable grilled chicken salad. Y'all, literally every single bite was top-tier. To top off the surprise, turns out Jana is the masterchef behind this amazing spread! Everything she does is done with intention and the client's experience in mind. I was simultaneously blown away and deep in serenity. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

My second time visiting this location and I must say my massage today exceeded my expectations!…read more I was bummed they didn't have any 50 minute massages but I was in desperate need and settled for a 35 minute massage appointment last minute. Charles exceeded my expectations. He targeted my problem areas and it felt like the longest 35 minute massage I've ever had in my life. It was strong but not painful. Just perfect! Highly recommend booking with him!

Had a lackluster birthday celebration at Burke Williams today. I was really excited about this and…read moredon't do it often, this was my birthday present and I was beyond excited. I've been to Burke Williams several times before and have also gifted massages as well because I've always considered them the best of the best. I've always had an incredible experience. So needless to say when it was time for my birthday (big birthday too!) I knew I wanted this as a bday present and went with my bf. Staff was friendly, and very kind, the facilities are also great. My massage today, was not. I was practically just pet for an hour. My massage therapist was not overly friendly or talkative and didn't make me feel necessarily comfortable. Once we started she essentially just pet my skin for 90% of the time. She put little to no pressure at any point. She didn't rub half of my body, even the hands and feet were practically just patting them. Rubbed around the muscles and areas you'd want rubbed but would get close to them and then just pass them by and barely touch them. Once we were probably close to 45 min in she did ask me if the pressure was ok, but it was clear she really didn't care and wasn't in the mood for this. At that point I'm butt naked, annoyed, disappointed, and then what do I say? No im really unhappy about my massage and don't think you're doing a good job? And then we just sit there awkwardly for 10-15 more min, that's even worse. The entire thing was anything but relaxing because I was just incredibly frustrated the entire time and hate being put in a situation where now I'm just uncomfortable to even say anything because it's just going to make it worse. This was not the standard massage by any means. Any area she would get to which would normally be rubbed, like hand for example, she pretty much just touched them and held them, there was 0 pressure, and and overall just complete miss of the mark on any normal part to rub. She rubbed my thighs for about 10 seconds each, rubbed my love handles but never touched my lower back just passed through it once or twice barely touching it, hamstrings/glutes/lumbar completely missed. Many spots were completely missed. Lots of walking around and digging through drawers. Initial lotion used on my back was ice cold before the hot lotion. 0 communication and 0 care and love. Just barely going through the motions. Once I was flipped over I'm not sure if it was a nail or a ring was just scratching my calves and shins. I will give her the benefit of the doubt where the last.... 5 min or so where I was laying flat up she finally started putting in some work on my traps and back of the head with some actual pressure and that was nice. The stretching motions weren't done, other than to my neck, and it felt completely wrong and way too crooked, it just hurt. Then she just mumbled something. Tossed my robe on my feet and offered me water. Walked me half way out and thanked me. This was just not up to Burke Williams standard at all, and was essentially just a useless massage that was uncomfortable and frustrating. My bf had an incredible experience with his massage therapist so that was a plus, and I've had nothing but great experiences prior to this, but this really sucked, and I was so looking forward to this. I told the front desk because I was massively frustrated about this, and the original girl I told was very receptive and apologetic. I had to reexplain the situation to the manager which I didn't mind and he was very friendly and offered a small discount, but it was nerve wracking because again, I'm upset and not overly comfortable complaining about such a personal service especially one where someone is putting in physical effort but it was so awful and so phoned in, I had to say something, but when he came out like 3-4 more people followed to stand behind the desk and listen to my complaint which was also frazzling. This was anything but a good experience and I'm really disappointed about this. I greatly appreciate the wonderful service from the kind employees at the front desk and locker rooms though and grateful my bf had a good experience, I just wish I was as lucky.

I had a facial massage, and it was truly exceptional. I left feeling completely relaxed, yet at the same time noticed a beautifully visible lifting effect. I have pretty severe TMJ, and my jaw gets so tight that sometimes it even hurts to fully open my mouth. It's been a real struggle. Kosha Spa has been a total lifesaver for me. They're the only place that actually gives me real relief. I've tried other spots before, but no one does this technique properly like they do. You can really tell they know what they're doing, and the difference is huge. After each session, my jaw feels noticeably more relaxed, and it genuinely improves my day-to-day life and even facial shape. If you deal with jaw tension or TMJ, this place is absolutely worth it!!

I've been a Burke Williams member for years -- mostly visiting the Hollywood location, and more…read morerecently Woodland Hills since moving to the Valley. A friend recommended the Sherman Oaks branch, so I emailed the manager ahead of time for therapist recommendations. First impression: if it's your first time here, finding the location can be confusing. There aren't any large Burke Williams signs, and I actually had to call the branch to confirm they were inside the mall area. Parking is also a bit of a walk, and signage could definitely be improved. For reference, they're located next to 24 Hour Fitness on the second floor, Building A. Once inside, though, the experience improved immediately. I was greeted right away by two friendly receptionists, and check-in was quick and easy. Since it was my first time at this location, I asked if someone could show me around -- honestly, that probably should've been offered proactively. The men's spa attendant gave me a tour, and the interior reminded me a lot of the West Hollywood location: darker, older, and more traditional in style. One thing another Yelper mentioned was absolutely true -- the place feels like a maze, especially since the massage rooms are upstairs on another level. My therapist, Giovanni, was great. He asked about my preferred pressure before the session started, although he didn't really check in during the massage itself. That said, he definitely has his own massage style, and overall I enjoyed the treatment. The men's spa area was surprisingly quiet, which made for a peaceful experience. The steam room wasn't quite hot enough for me, so I ended up spending more time in the sauna instead. Overall, I had a nice experience and would come back. Just a heads-up about parking: it's validated at a discounted rate, but if you stay longer, it can add up. Hollywood still has the best parking situation since it's free, while Woodland Hills offers a flat $3 rate.

The receptionist didn't ask if I'd been there before or if I needed any direction. Ok. I went through the door and wandered the hall for a moment when I was able to quietly catch someone. I told her I had no idea where to go or what to do. She kindly directed me to the locker room, found my locker, and brought a pair of slippers that fit. My masseuse met me outside the locker room and led me to the massage room. She asked me if there were areas that I'd like focused on. Yes. (A pinched nerve on the right side of my back and I love a head massage.) Great. I guess she forgot about the pinched nerve. So I waited through the fine 80 minute formulaic massage for her to work on the grand finale of my head. Two minutes. Yes a grand total of two minutes if I'm being generous. Thanks. Two stars because it could be worse. But no thanks. Not for this price. Go somewhere else.
