I visited Bangkok Spa Massage for the first time and overall had a really good experience. There's parking in the back, which made things easy. When I walked up, the door was locked and a sign instructed me to text the number with my name and appointment time. I arrived around 2:15pm for my 2:30pm appointment since I wasn't sure where to go, and they replied quickly. Before starting, I had to fill out and sign two questionnaires. The front desk also asked if I wanted to pay before or after the service -- I politely let her know I prefer to pay after since I think it's best to make sure the service is good first. For anyone wondering: you can pay after, but note that credit cards have a 3% fee. They also accept Venmo, Cash App, or cash. I booked the package with a 1-hour massage + 1-hour organic facial for $155. The massage was great with no complaints at all. I requested medium pressure, and she delivered exactly that. The table was heated, which I loved. For the facial, I moved into another room for the microdermabrasion treatment. She took her time and used quality products. I left looking like a glazed doughnut in the best way, glowing and hydrated. Overall, I'd give this place a solid 4 stars. There's always room for improvement (mainly around the check-in process), but the services themselves were definitely worth it. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE Have been there few times prior. Called and made an appointment with the OWNERS WIFE (Asian lady) for my husband (who is on a wheelchair and transfers to the massage table) and I, she said she had time for 2 available tomorrow. She then called and asked if I'm coming with my husband or someone else. When I said I'm going with my husband she stated "if he can't walk I don't have time for him" "im very busy on the weekends and don't have time for him to transfer" it takes less than 10 seconds for him to transfer by the way. I had a perfect massage last month from Mina. I came back again and doubled down for a 2-hour massage. It was heavenly. The place is small and seems privately owned. They are friendly and definitely Thai. The noise is something I'm not used to in a massage studio. I could do without the staff talking in the massage area, but I get past it and still enjoy my massage, but I do wish people weren't talking outside the door. I just have to share my opinion about how they're acting when they're talking about a tip. All my life, I have left a tip, but I've never been in a situation where someone has been rude to me because they could not add my tip and charge the card again from their machine--a tip that I left on the receipt. LOL. The woman at the front desk asked me in a somewhat aggressive manner, "Did you block your card? Why can't I add a tip from your payment that you made 90 minutes ago?" Well, why, how, and for what reason should I block my card? I made a payment before my massage. Once the massage was finished, I came to the front desk to leave a tip. Then she asked me to leave a tip via Venmo. I said I could do Zelle. She gave me her husband's phone number and rudely told me to leave a tip to his number, which I did. She asked her worker to check my phone and see if I had sent it or not. It was ridiculous; I felt like I didn't want to pay or that I was guilty--something like that. This is my last visit to this salon. Relax, guys--we're going to tip you; if your card machine doesn't work properly, it doesn't mean that it's the client's fault. P.S. I wanted to go to this place last Monday 5/12/2025 at 5:30. After an hour massage, I got up with infected eyes; mucus was covering my left eye. Even the cashier informed asked if I was okay. The next day I went to my ophthalmologist and got prescribed with eye drops. The day after (Wednesday), I called out sick because I was feeling under the weather. The day after up to today, I called out sick. I've been seeing three different doctors for my bacterial infection at this place and got prescribed with Amoxicillin for 10 days. I lost my voice and was waiting for it to come back to call them and tell them what happened to me after this heroic massage. The owner, Robert, got really mad at me. He was so rude over the phone. Didn't let me talk. Then he hung up on me. Please don't go there; this place is too dirty, and if you want to continue with your regular everyday life, do not go there. My wife got a massage here on May 12, 2025, and ended up with a bacterial eye infection right after. She had to see multiple doctors, take antibiotics, and missed almost a week of work. When she called the spa to report it and ask for a refund, the owner was rude and hung up on her. No apology or accountability. Today they told me that I dont tip them enough The owner also said we didnt want to take your appointment should I cancel or what? Honestly for such a good price I expected the inside to look a lot more janky but I was pleasantly surprised. The bed even felt like it had a warmer! I got the 60 min Swedish/thai, with medium pressure and asked for focus on my neck and shoulders. A lot of places I've noticed do maybe an extra few min in my area of concern and move on but the guy I had went IN on my neck and shoulders in the best way. He seemed like he actually cared about getting the knots out. I might ask for soft pressure next time though. Only other thing is make sure to make an appt (I made mine same day). I really loved the service and quality massage by John! No complaints there but I wasn't sure about having to pre pay. I'm hoping that's with all the client and not just the brown ones! Also I am a firm believer in tipping but I wasn't all to pleased with the forced minimum of $15-20 was a bit uncomfortable. I don't mind paying but to be told how much and ridiculed about it was a little jarring! Also the towel where you place your head at was soiled with red lipstick and I had to asked for a clean one( I wasn't wearing any makeup nor lipstick or gloss . Even though everyone is skilled in their craft, I'd highly recommend Jimmy for a massage. I usually get deep tissue and when I tell you this guy is amazing? Not only does he focus on your problem areas, but he spends a good 15min of the 1hr massage stretching you out. For facials, I'd highly recommend ChaCha. She's professional, skilled, patient, and her facials will put you right to sleep. Bangkok spa is clean, the staff is friendly, and tea is offered at the end of your session. Every masseuse is amazing. Just let him know when you call in or walk in what pressure you want and they will pair you with the correct masseuse. My 2 aunts treated me and my mom to a spa day here for our birthdays. Emily was the one who assisted me today and she was amazing! She always checked up on me to make sure I was doing well. This was my first experience with something as intense as this. I got a Thai Swedish combo (according to my aunt) and she really got in there. I could feel my knots slowly dissolving. I don't think it's all out, but thats understandable considering I only has a 60 min session. I am certain if it was longer it would all be out, but she really did relax my body. It hurt but in the best way possible. I thoroughly enjoyed the environment as well. The music was calming and the lighting was just perfect that I was relaxed but it wasn't too dark. My friend and I went here for my birthday last week. This was the second time we had been to this spa before. We came back because affordable, local to us, and the masseuses do a decent job. The facilities are alright. The issue here is that the owners recommend a 30% tip for each service, which is not made clear until after the massage is done. I was planning on tipping around 15%-18% because I wasn't very fond of my massage. The pressure was either too light or wayyy too hard and I was very cold for most of it, so I had a hard time relaxing, but I know my masseuse was trying her best, so it was fine. However, when we got to the counter to tip (We were encouraged to pre-pay), the guy (I think his name is Sunny) pointed out tip recommendations for the length of each massage. They were 30% of the massage, and this looked a bit steep to me, especially since my experience was mediocre that day and I believe customary tips in the US are typically 20% if you REALLY love something and 15%-18% otherwise. Sunny did point out, however, that these were just suggestions if we were pleased with the massage and that we didn't have to tip that much. I felt guilted into giving a larger tip, so I gave 20%. My friend, however, gave 15%, and when the lady (likely the co-owner/Sunny's wife, but I don't know her name) saw our tips, she asked my friend if they didn't like the massage. When my friend said it was fine, the lady insisted my friend change the tip to at least 20%. When my friend refused, the lady said she would change the tip to 20% regardless. My friend said not to do that. Well, my friend checked her bank account a few days later, and the lady did end up changing my friend's tip to 20%, which I'm pretty certain is illegal. Unfortunately, the disgusting part about all this is that I looked at the past reviews and apparently the lady has been doing this to people for over 6 years. Imagine how many tips she has unknowingly changed just because she felt like she deserved more money, even though individuals did not consent to giving that amount of money. She also processed the tip days later than the actual payment. I wouldn't be surprised if it was on purpose so people forget to check their bank statements. This practice is highly unethical. If they think the masseuses should get higher tips, they should raise the prices for the massages and pay them more fairly. Don't rely on people spending an absurd amount on tips. I'm concerned that the tips might not be going directly to the masseuses themselves, but that they're stealing them for themselves. Highly unethical. I wouldn't recommend going here. It's mid and the lady has a huge sense of entitlement, is unethical, and has quite an attitude. Her husband seems to enable this behavior. There's also other reviews about her giving racist energy, which is unsurprising. Save your time, money, and energy, and go elsewhere! read more

My new go-to massage spot when I'm in the Valley! I made an appt via text because I wanted to ask if it was possible to book just a Swedish massage and not Swedish/Thai (I'm a bit of a wimp). I also requested no hot stones but it does come with it. $65 for a 60 minute massage is a great price especially in the LA area. The staff and my massage therapist Angie were all really nice. I felt totally relaxed during my session and definitely fell asleep (and snored). I liked that you fill out a form addressing any health concerns and where you'd like the therapist to concentrate on. I was in desperate need of a prenatal massage and they had an appt available so I gave them a shot. The spa didn't feel prepared for prenatal set up despite me calling in advance to check. The masseuse was mediocre and half way through the massage she gasped and started saying she was tired... she spent the last 30 mins of the massage just rubbing oil on me - literally - no pressure - just oil. She also kept talking to me during the massage asking question about the baby which is kind but not when I'm in need of soothing and relaxation. She spent a lot of energy on the wrong hip and my buttock despite me reminding her several times - not there- to the point I was sore in my butt cheek for the rest of the week and still having aches in my afflicted hip. I rolled the dice trying this place and was disappointed. Would not return but I was 8.5 months pregnant and desperate for relief read more

I meant to write a review sooner but seeing as I'm about to book another spa day here it reminded me to write this! I had a facial and for the price, the quality of product they use(Eminence) is impressive. Often times cheaper facials use cheap products. I am a licensed esthetician but love to treat myself to facials outside of work. My esthetician did an awesome job. I can tell she knew what she was doing and she was not shy with the extractions! Loved it! I am more of a results oriented person so I prefer a facial that's going to clear my pores but there was light massage and some relaxing moments as well. My boyfriend had his first deep tissue here. He gets discounts on Swedish massages through my work but wanted to try something deeper and he said they really got the knots out. While he said it was rough during the massage, all the next day he kept saying how much better his back felt. He's been bugging me to come back here ever since. It's perfect for date day because we live right around the corner. I just happened to notice a sign with their specials and am so pleasantly surprised at the service! I came in to get a relaxing body scrub and massage and the massage was fine but the body scrub was more like a body skinning. It reached a point where I politely went from asking please stop to literally having to get off the table completely covered in salt and go home. When I gave a tip, the woman at the front desk spoke in Thai to the masseuse, then told me that I had to give a $30 tip for a 90-minute massage, showing me a laminated sheet with specific amounts of tips per hour. When I said I didn't have cash, she asked if I had Venmo, and I said no. Her attitude was extremely rude, and I felt awful because she was forcing me to give the tip they had set. I then mentioned that I didn't even receive the full 90 minutes, which I had initially planned to overlook. She brushed it off, saying, 'The 10 minutes are fine,' which was absurd. I got so angry and told her that, first of all, I didn't have cash, and second, I should be able to tip as much as I want, not according to their fixed rules. I also said I wasn't aware that their tips were pre-determined and left. They were acting like gangsters, practically demanding money like thieves. I've never seen such ridiculous service before. The massage wasn't even that great, and I left feeling even worse. --------------------------------------------------------------- Did you say it's a personal choice? Then why did she make me feel like I was being unreasonable for giving a tip, as if I were someone who didn't pay? She kept holding me back, asking if I had Venmo, and continuously pointing out the tip list that you created. Never going back here again. Night officially ruined. My wife and I both grind hard seven days a week at stressful jobs. (It's, LA, you have to). We were really looking forward to our 90 min Thai massage that we reserved three days in advance. We came in roughly five minutes tardy and were told to do I'll out this form indicating our wants and needs. (If I needed that in my life, I would've booked a reputable spa). So at this point, it's :15 past our reserved start time. Then they drop a bomb about one of us has to have a male therapist then said he's "like female". (Requested female). We were lead to our respective rooms and told to undress and get in the bed (underwear on, on a HOT ass table). The lady came in and began my session. About 45 min in she vanished and came back in. Then another lady comes in and they full on have a convo in their language (she stops massaging me in this time). Then the other woman tells me that they're so busy, she needs the room and down graces my massage to a 60 min (same to my wife but with more interruption on hers). They jokingly say it's okay, "come back next week". Then I get dressed and go pay, the man up front goes "it's $90 for 2 people, cash or card?" I gave card and He charged $92. I ask about it and he says "there's a surcharge for card and that it's mentioned on their website". Had I even seen their website or a sign in store, I had no problem paying in cash.
