The couple's Swedish massage was okay, but the experience could have been more relaxing. The therapist kept asking every few minutes if everything was okay, which became a little distracting. He also kept talking to the other therapist during the massage, which made it harder to fully relax and enjoy the experience. I hope they can improve the communication and overall atmosphere for a more peaceful experience next time. read more

I had been dealing with significant neck and shoulder pain for weeks and had tried ibuprofen and several other conservative treatments with little to no relief. I found this place online and decided to book a 90-minute deep tissue massage with hot stones, and I'm so glad I did. The place is clean, comfortable, and has a very relaxing atmosphere. If you're looking for a fancy, high-end Burke Williams-type spa experience, this probably isn't the place for you. But if what you really want is an excellent massage at a very reasonable price, I highly recommend coming here. Victor was extremely welcoming and friendly when he checked me in, and Lilly, who did my massage, was absolutely AMAZING! I was very specific about the areas that were bothering me and where I wanted her to focus, and she listened and did exactly what I asked. She used just the right amount of pressure and really worked on the areas where I was experiencing the most tension and discomfort. I felt so much better when I left. My pain isn't completely gone, but it improved significantly after just one massage, which is more relief than I had gotten from anything else I tried over the past several weeks. I will definitely be back. If you come here, ask for Lilly--you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend her!! read more

I really wanted to like this place because it seemed like it could be a good fit. However, unfortunately, my experience was not a pleasant one. This was my first time getting a massage, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. Before my appointment, I clearly communicated both over the phone and through text that I wanted a Swedish massage, and the staff was aware of the service I was requesting. When we arrived, I also showed the receptionist the package I had purchased, which included a Swedish massage. When the massage began, I assumed the massage therapist knew which service I had requested. Since this was my first massage, I did not know the difference between a Swedish massage and a deep-tissue massage. During the session, I began experiencing discomfort, but I assumed it was normal because my body had been very tense. In fact, the reason I specifically requested a Swedish massage was because I knew how tense and sensitive my body was. Looking back, my biggest mistake was assuming that the service being performed was the one I had requested. The massage itself felt okay but not the best at the time, but the following day I experienced significant back pain, red marks, and felt much worse physically than before the massage. My pain has worsen day after day, the masseuse, Kiki, aggravated my condition. After researching the different types of massages and considering how I felt afterwards, I came to understand that the massage I received appeared to be more intense (deep tissue) than the Swedish massage I had specifically requested and was trying to avoid. Another issue was the language barrier. Communication between the massage therapist and me was difficult, which made it challenging to clearly communicate my concerns during the Session. I also felt uncomfortable at the end of the appointment because the massage therapist appeared upset that I did not leave the tip she expected. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience. If you are considering going here, I would recommend making sure that the specific service you requested is clearly confirmed and understood by everyone before the massage begins. Also, Make sure they don't do more harm than good to your body. In my experience, there was a lack of communication that ultimately affected the quality of my visit and my back. I did not feel the level of professionalism I was expecting. Will not be returning. read more

I booked a 90 minute deep tissue couples massage for partner and I. My partner does a lot of driving and heavy lifting, and I do aerial arts, so we really push our bodies. When I tell you this is probably the best massage I've had in YEARS! We added the oil upgrade which was a nice selection of scents and benefits -- we also added the back walking which I highly recommend for anyone with crazy knots or stiffness. While it feels intense, the amount of relief I feel is incredible. Make sure to leave a great tip - the staff are so accommodating and even give you a face mask and water after your treatment! The music is low and soothing, atmosphere was set up nicely and the rooms are dim lighting and not too cold. Overall will definitely be coming back read more

I came to Leading Massage in Encino with my daughter, and owner Victor lived up to everything the positive reviews describe -- friendly, helpful, and genuinely solution-oriented. He was also incredibly generous: he gave us each a complimentary face mask and hot stones during our treatment, plus two more face masks each to take home. I had Lisa, who was patient, experienced, and kind. I did the 90-minute herbal relaxation massage, and my daughter did the 80-minute body and feet. Lisa also had me try deep tissue for about 10 minutes, and I enjoyed it enough that I'll definitely be back for more. A few small hiccups worth mentioning for the owner's benefit: the music started off as loud Chinese pop, then switched to a repetitive saxophone track, and we eventually just gave up and went with no music. The room also ran a bit cold and I felt chilly at times during the massage. Lastly, lying face down put a lot of pressure on my face and made it hard to breathe comfortably -- a different face cradle setup might help. None of that overshadowed the experience, though. Between Victor's hospitality and Lisa's skilled, attentive work, I left relaxed and will be returning. read more

"It's my birthday, it's my birthday..." So, I decided to get a little pampering on my feet...After finding this new massage spot here on yelp and reading the reviews it was a "no brainer" for me. I was greeted by Victor who was very friendly, (good business etiquette) and he brought me into the first treatment room on the left. It was dimly lit with relaxing spa music. My massage therapist was Lisa & she was amazing with very strong hands... She started my 1 hour Foot Massage by massaging my scalp, neck, arms and hands. From there she spent the remaining time on my feet. I would definitely go back and ask for Lisa. *On my way out I left a tip and Victor gave me a complimentary face mask. *You can book online and pay ahead of time or pay when you are there. *Located in the shopping center just before The Corner Bakery and before Haskell Ave. ~and that's all I have to say about that... read more

Easily the best massage in L.A., and honestly probably one of the best in my life. Easy to book, (they take Class Pass!) friendly, super clean, quiet, private, great pricing and EXCELLENT massage. I like a firm strong technique and Peter (the besssst!) un-knotted my impossibly tight back, neck and hips in 40 min. Then he placed hot stones on some pressure points and I melted into butter. My back hasn't felt this good in years. Can't wait to visit again! read more

My new favorite massage parlor in the valley! You can't beat the prices; $30 for a foot massage, $40 for an hour full body massage in a private room. Victor the owner is a charming, welcoming and funny guy who makes you feel at home the second that you walk in the door. He provides awesome snacks and drinks and is excited to share his favorites. The BEST foot massage I have ever gotten. Just amazing. I came here after leaving a different massage place feeling very disappointed because the guy basically just rubbed lotion on my feet for an hour. I was desperately in need of a TRUE foot massage after working doubles for a month straight for the World Cup, so I didn't give up. I was willing to try this place and spend on an extra 30 minutes to treat my feet the way they truly needed. And boy am I glad I stumbled upon this place. Staff was all nice, Peter was my masseuse and he was amazing, a real massage therapist that knows his pressure points and understands the foot muscles. In just 30 minutes they gave me an incredible experience compared to the place I had just came from. I will definitely be coming back and trying more of their services next time! read more

My partner and I went for a couples massage - I got the deep tissue and he got the swedish massage. Both our masseuses were very nice and thorough; I have a lot of neck pain and I felt like she could tell because she spent extra time there. The front receptionist was also very friendly, and the place was clean. We used to frequent a place in SGV but this may be our new go-to. read more
