When I tell you this is probably the best massage I've had in YEARS! We added the oil upgrade which was a nice selection of scents and benefits -- we also added the back walking which I highly recommend for anyone with crazy knots or stiffness. While it feels intense, the amount of relief I feel is incredible. Make sure to leave a great tip - the staff are so accommodating and even give you a face mask and water after your treatment! I came to Leading Massage in Encino with my daughter, and owner Victor lived up to everything the positive reviews describe -- friendly, helpful, and genuinely solution-oriented. He was also incredibly generous: he gave us each a complimentary face mask and hot stones during our treatment, plus two more face masks each to take home. I had Lisa, who was patient, experienced, and kind. I did the 90-minute herbal relaxation massage, and my daughter did the 80-minute body and feet. Lisa also had me try deep tissue for about 10 minutes, and I enjoyed it enough that I'll definitely be back for more. A few small hiccups worth mentioning for the owner's benefit: the music started off as loud Chinese pop, then switched to a repetitive saxophone track, and we eventually just gave up and went with no music. The room also ran a bit cold and I felt chilly at times during the massage. Lastly, lying face down put a lot of pressure on my face and made it hard to breathe comfortably -- a different face cradle setup might help. None of that overshadowed the experience, though. I was greeted by Victor who was very friendly, (good business etiquette) and he brought me into the first treatment room on the left. It was dimly lit with relaxing spa music. My massage therapist was Lisa & she was amazing with very strong hands... She started my 1 hour Foot Massage by massaging my scalp, neck, arms and hands. From there she spent the remaining time on my feet. The BEST foot massage I have ever gotten. Just amazing. I came here after leaving a different massage place feeling very disappointed because the guy basically just rubbed lotion on my feet for an hour. I was desperately in need of a TRUE foot massage after working doubles for a month straight for the World Cup, so I didn't give up. I was willing to try this place and spend on an extra 30 minutes to treat my feet the way they truly needed. And boy am I glad I stumbled upon this place.
