I've been to Kosha Spa several times now for buccal facial, and I honestly can't recommend them enough. I have pretty severe TMJ, and my jaw gets so tight that sometimes it even hurts to fully open my mouth. It's been a real struggle. Kosha Spa has been a total lifesaver for me. They're the only place that actually gives me real relief. I've tried other spots before, but no one does this technique properly like they do. You can really tell they know what they're doing, and the difference is huge. After each session, my jaw feels noticeably more relaxed, and it genuinely improves my day-to-day life and even facial shape. The worst customer experience & service. I booked a service for my sister and I last night for 2 people/ 2 different services and when my confirmation came through, I noticed there was a mistake as the same person was listed as our aesthetician for both of our services. As soon as the spa opened this morning I explained the situation and they said that they weren't able to accommodate us being seen at the same time. Unfortunately we already had plans for the afternoon and so I asked for them to cancel our reservation without penalty as it didn't say anything on the website when I booked about it being back to back services and not at the same time. They refused to be accommodating and noted that I would need to pay the cancellation fee as it was already within the cancellation policy. Didn't offer to switch to a different day, or put it on a gift card. Nothing and she also said "well you booked online and not through us directly" so basically we can't help you even though it was THEIR website. I absolutely do not recommend this place and am despised by the lack of help they offered. I even asked to speak to a manager and never received a call or notice, just my cancellation charge. I would love to share my experience from my first visit to Kosha Spa. From the very first step inside, I felt an incredibly cozy and calming atmosphere -- the space immediately puts you at ease. I had a facial massage, and it was truly exceptional. I left feeling completely relaxed, yet at the same time noticed a beautifully visible lifting effect. I booked a myofascial release session to address headache, jaw/TMJ, neck, and shoulder pain. When I arrived, the waiting area was filled with strong candle scents and loud music, which immediately worsened my headache. I politely asked if I could have a scent-free room, and they said that was fine. Once inside, the therapist offered aromatherapy, and I declined again, yet she still used a heavily scented oil. From the very beginning, it was obvious this wasn't myofascial release. Real myofascial work is done slowly, without oil, using deep, sustained pressure. She barely touched my neck, didn't work on my shoulders at all (besides some light stretching), and ignored my polite requests for more pressure. When I gently repeated myself, she suddenly challenged me, her tone sharp, her expression dismissive. I was stunned. I came in vulnerable, in real pain, hoping for relief and understanding, not to be argued with for asking for what I paid for. The "buccal" portion might have been helpful if her nail hadn't cut my gums. The session lasted maybe 60 minutes, though I paid for 80. I left with a pounding headache, a wave of scented oil on my skin and hair and a deep sense of disappointment. I paid $300 including tip and walked out feeling unheard, dismissed, and genuinely shaken by the lack of empathy and professionalism. If you're looking for true therapeutic myofascial release, this is not the place. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. First of all, I was a bit surprised that no one answered the phone or replied to my text messages when I had questions before booking. I ended up just booking my Glow and Lift facial online, which was fine, but it felt a bit impersonal. My experience with Kristina was fantastic! She was great, and I absolutely loved the buccal massage! everyone should give it a shot! After the treatment, my face felt lifted and I felt really relaxed and happy overall, I even sent few messages to my friends so they try it as well. On the way home, my face started feeling weird and uncomfortable from the products they used, and I couldn't wait to wash it all off. Unfortunately, I ended up having an allergic reaction, which was not fun. Certain spots on my mid-face and under eyes started burning, and I wouldn't say my skin is particularly sensitive. As for now, my face is irritated and skin looks bad, I did not have these red spots before. There is absolutely nothing "glowing" it looks ugly and feels horrible. Also, the red light therapy that was supposed to be part of the facial couldn't be used because they didn't have any eye protection available. The light was way too strong for my eyes. Personally, I'm not a huge believer in red light therapy doing much if it's only used once, but for anyone who was looking forward to it, this could be a real bummer. It would be nice if they had eye protective glasses or could offer some alternatives for those with sensitive eyes. read more

It was my first time trying a buccal face massage and I really loved the whole experience. Kosha is a small spa off Ventura and I love the simple and aesthetic interior. The rooms inside smell great. I booked Kristina and she was wonderful! She explained the whole process to me and made me feel relaxed. She had a firm yet caring hand. It starts off with a neck and chest massage, then they clean your face and do some lymphatic drainage. The buccal portion where she holds inside your mouth was quite interesting and definitely loosened up my jaw (I suffer from clenching/grinding teeth at night). My first time doing buccal massage and I'm so glad I did it with Kosha spa. Cute and relaxing waiting area. I was greeted by Paulina and she gave me some tea, the. She guided me to one of the room and gave me sometimes to get ready. At the start of the session I went through a pleasant scent experiences through the product she was using combine with a gentle yet firm massage. Probably dosed off couple of times. Then she started to massage the inside and outside of my mouth at the same time and that was when I almost cried, not really from pain but from a deep sense of release. Much needed massage for my face and jaw. Towards the end, I went through another scent experience and scalp massage, this time she also put some sort of oil/serum on my head and it smell and feel refreshing. So, I had a lower back pain and stiff neck, I get massages quite often but usually they don't give a relief any longer. Not today! I was so excited to have this experience with Kosha Spa. Unfortunately day of I started to feel unwell, I tested negative for Covid but wanted to be respectful to the staff so I gave them a call 2.5 hours prior to my appointment and they said their cancellation policy handles No exceptions. I have worked in customer service for years and the fact that I didn't just come into their business feeling sick to be sure that I didn't spread any illness to anyone else as a precaution I think is worthy enough of an exception especially if I was willing to reschedule. The lady I spoke with quoted an airline not accepting last minute cancellations, but they will end work with you if necessary. Sadly this experience I was so looking forward to will now no longer happen and I will be charged 50% of my treatment because I was being an honest customer, I told her I could easily come and receive my treatment if they just need to fill the time and I will gladly receive the service but I didn't want to put anyone else in harms way and get them sick. So it's either lie and possibly get some one sick or get charged with 50% of what your service is? Seems a bit unfair. read more
