It took me an hour to get there and I called just to make sure they had a male masseur for me. My appointment is at 4:30 pm, with Tom. It seems like Tom has been working there for a long time now because I seen the reviews on him way back. Tom has great skills, there's a couple of things I like about Tom's technique. Like I. The beginning when you're laying face down, he slides his hands up and down your back to feel for knots, not like most places, they start pushing from your neck to your feet. Tom finds the knots and tells you where is at and what strength he recommends you to use. I also like his head massage, the way he twists my head to the left and right, I thought he was going to crack my neck lol, is kinda scary if you're not used to them cracking your neck. But he doesn't, he just holds it down a couple of seconds. Now most Chinese massage places don't include the feet massage with the body massage but this place does. Overall, it was a good therapeutic massage. People complained about the lady in the front is rude, actually she isn't, is just the way she is, I mean is all business to her, you choose what type of massage you want and she takes you to the private room or the open area recliners, she tells the MT what you want and how long. She's the boss, she's not there to socialize and answers questions. All Chinese massages are the same, is not like the American ones, they always start off as deep tissue and it hurts but you can always tell them "soft/softer ". 90 % of them don't have a certified massages therapist, if you see them on the wall and is in black and white, is photoshopped copy unless it has a shiny gold star and colors on it, then is real. Most of them don't have the knowledge of what a body massage is, they just see what others do and they do the same. Over time they get better. The second thing is the tipping. Is a one on one massage. They knead using their forearms and elbows sometimes hands, pinching, grabbing, pulling, pushing and sometimes a couple of slapping lol is hard work and you people tips them $5, they don't get the $40, $50, or $60 per hour, that's the house fee, the owner gets that. They only get the tips and very low wages. They don't get minimum wages or salaries like we( Americans) do, they work solely on tips to feed their families. If they Jack up the price, do you think you'll pay $90 for an hour of massage that you don't even know if is good or not ? I don't think so, you guys might as well go to the American ones like Massage Envy or Burke Williams and pay $100-$150 per hour for non members. Why y'all tipping 20% like you're eating at a restaurant ? Stop doing that !!! Giving them $20 per hour for a good massage ain't going to hurt you. $40 house fee plus $20 tips = $60 for an hour massage. Try getting that price at the American market. $5 can't even get me a good cup of coffee at Starbucks and y'all think is a good tip. If you can't give them a good tip of $15-$20 per hour, stay home and roll around on your pebble rock backyard or rub up and down a tree lol try having your partner/parents knead your body for an hour and you give them $5, let's see what they say lol one last thing, if you don't like your massage in the first 10 minutes, you can always change them to a different therapist, just tell the boss. The only reason I'm giving a 4 stars is because is cold inside and they don't close the private room door, is not a crack open like 5-6 inches, it was so opened like 12 inches. What's the point of having a private room, and you have to keep your underwear on ? they don't even oil your glutes (butt) to massage them. Tom massage my feet so good, I think I fell asleep lol until next time if I decided to come back. I'll try a different guy because I like a deep deep tissue massage. Remember you're not eating at a restaurant, stop tipping them the 20 %, is one on one hard kneading work, or just stay home and get your massage gun out lol
