Redeeming food. V v good.
Brichard G.

Food was crazy disappointing. Veg in summer rolls was brown and soft. No spice in papaya salad. No spice in chili stir fried green beans. Service was absolutely terrible. We asked for spice and got bland. Took order, didnt see her again until she returned 40 minutes later to "see if everything was good" and drop the check. Redeeming quality was the fried chicken appetizer. Dark meat, marinated, good sauce. Entrees dont come w rice . Surcharge on debit cards. Not for locals. Probably for tourists from the midwest who dont know any better.

Just because you're on Hawaii and Waikiki, you have a menu which is too long but none of the stuff is less than 20 bucks. The quantities are too less. There is a template that you have to follow. We definitely have to get two dishes to make sure you're satisfied none of the major disadvantages that I saw here was there was no elevators. We had a baby with us with a stroller and we had to dismantle everything carry everything by hand. the ambience, sweet and nice.

Red curry with chicken and a side of rice, excellent
Mark F.

One of our favorite Thai restaurants to visit when we're in Honolulu. I had the red curry with chicken and a side of rice and an order of spring rolls for dinner. The curry was excellent and a bit hotter than expected even at medium heat. So it was almost perfect. I actually didn't mind at all. The spring rolls are always nice and plump and full of good stuff. One of the things I really like about this place is their consistency with their recipes. Each trip that we come here, sometimes more than once, and if you've had something before that you liked, it's going to taste exactly the same the next time you order it. I appreciate that.

If I had to have one taste in my mouth for the rest of my life, I would choose the taste of the broth of #11, Thai Ginger Soup (Tom Kha). I don't think I need to say anymore.... ....but I will. The restaurant, for being hidden, was HOPPING. Every table was full and people waiting. I had a glass of Cabernet, it was actually good. My husband got the drunken noodles, 10 out of 10.

Bland. Most of the dishes offer 3 spiciness levels: mild, medium, and spicy. Maybe it was our fault for ordering all our dishes mild. Everything could've used more salt and umami. We ordered the papaya salad, minced chicken salad, and massaman curry. The portion sizes are generous, but the food is tasteless. We spent $60 before tip.

Not a bad option for Thai food! Siam Square is located in Waikiki along Lewers and Kuhio Ave, and the restaurant is situated on the 2nd floor of a plaza, right next to the bar Bacchus. Although the restaurant appears small on the outside, it actually is quite spacious with plenty of tables -- we were able to get seating for two immediately on a Thursday night. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal, which I appreciated. I got the pad kee mao and tom yum soup. I enjoyed both of them! The pad kee mao, even at its lowest spice level of medium, was pretty spicy (as the menu warned), but was generally balanced with a nice sweetness. The tom yum soup was really flavorful, though I wish they strained some of the spices (e.g. star anise) out of the soup prior to serving. If you're craving Thai food and are in the area, Siam Square is a good option!

Blink and you will miss, upstairs from a ABC Store on the corner. The staff was welcoming and quick to help take your order but not hover. The menu is large, so you should be able to find something you like. Nice and bright inside and plenty of seating with music in the background to help drown out conversations as you are sitting close to other ppl. Plenty of room for a large party. The heat levels are mild to spicy and of course no spice. I asked for the spicy and waitress asked "are you sure". Ordered the Chicken Pad Thai (which came out quickly). I did not realize tofu came with the dish, so half of the protein in the picture is tofu. The dish was ok, the spicy level of heat was not overwhelming. Overall dish was ok, plenty of sauce so the noodles were not clumped together or dry. I will not have this dish again, but I will be back to try the curry. I do recommend trying this place out.

42. Peanut Curry (Pa Nang)

We caught ourselves watching the fireworks in Waikiki and the family was craving Thai food. My brother-in-law recommended this spot so we made the trek. Fortunately, they seated us quickly and were very attentive to us. As always, I grabbed their Pa Nang Curry which was delicious, with a side of sticky rice. We shared plates of pad Thai and other appetizers. This was the first time I tried Thailand's Singha beer which paired nicely with the spicy food. We were all comfortable and were satisfied with our food. Unfortunately, the bathroom was shared with neighboring businesses and it was not well-maintained. The male toilet was clogged and smelled of urine. As a father to two young girls, a clean and sanitary bathroom is a necessity, even it's just to wash their hands. Nonetheless, 10/10 recommend.

Drunkard's Noodles (Pad Ki Mao) w/ beef & Siam Jungle Curry (Evil Curry) w/ chicken

Some of the best Thai food that was actually spicy and we loved it. We ordered takeout so I didn't get to see inside the restaurant, but the food was sooo good! We ordered the Drunkard's Noodles with beef and the Asian Jungle Curry with chicken.

I eat here at least once a week. The drunken noodles are amazing and they have the best panang curry. Their masala curry is bomb too, but on the sweeter more cinnamony side. I like their pineapple curry too but the panang is just too good to pass up. If you want a soup, their tom kah has so much flavor. I usually don't like ordering fried rice, but I've ordered all the fried rice dishes here because it tastes so good, and the basil is my favorite. The dishes are so colorful with the freshest veggies that are always cooked so perfectly. I will say their pad thai is not the best. I would also skip the fried calamari. If you want apps, get the egg rolls! Siam is one of my favorite restaurants. The staff is so kind and the restaurant inside is so cute and cozy. You'll definitely find your comfort meal here.

I absolutely love their Pad Thai with fried tofu it's always full of rich, delicious flavor! My son couldn't get enough of the fried chicken with sticky rice, perfectly crispy and so satisfying. And of course, we had to finish with mango and sweet sticky rice in coconut milk sauce. It usually comes with ground peanuts, but I prefer mine without. Even though it's not mango season (so the mango wasn't super sweet), the sticky rice and coconut sauce totally made up for it still so yummy and comforting! The service was great there were about three servers and maybe one or two food runners, so everything came out quickly and smoothly. Everyone was kind and attentive, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The ambience was warm, cozy, and welcoming a lovely little spot tucked away on the second floor. Parking can be tricky if you're new to the area, but I recommend the public parking lot at 2120 Lauula St, Honolulu, HI 96815 It's just across the street and super convenient. Overall, this place is such a gem for affordable, flavorful Thai food in Waikiki. We really enjoyed our meal, and I highly recommend giving it a try!

I wish my experience here matched that of others. Hopefiully, my visit was just a one off - because the shrimp fried rice had shrimps that were not fully cooked. The fried rice itself was fragrant and tasty, but the majority of the shrimps were undercooked. The shrimps might have needed one more crucial minute to get them white/pink. When it comes to pad thai, I enjoy mine to be less wet. I like to have my noodles not 'goop' together. The flavor was a little sweeter than I'm used to and it needed more crushed peanuts to balance it out. The papaya salad and fish cakes were the stars and even liked combining the two. The papaya was fresh, crunchy, tangy. The fish cakes were a bit oily, but tender and tasty. Overall, everything was ok. The staff are really nice and the dining room has a lot of natural light with a view of the bustling street below. I would give Siam Square another chance when I have the opportunity.

8. Fried Fish Patties (Tod Mun Pla)
Malay C.

It's drenching rain and wet. I ordered fried fish patties and it tastes alright with well balanced ingredients but little soaked with oil (vegetables oil?). Papaya salad is typical and goes well with Singha beer but not good as I expected. Red curry tastes great with brown rice as I expected for typical Thai curry overseas. The Pad Thai was disappointing because the noodles didn't meet my expectation. Service was fast and friendly as I expected from Asian culture. There's a 3% surgery charge if pay with debit or credit card.

I ordered the beef pad see ew, and I'll be honest, I was a little sad when it came out because the portion felt pretty small for $18. The other dishes seemed like they were a lot larger. I also split the crab omelet, which was good! I tried the Evil Curry too. It wasn't extremely spicy, but it definitely had enough of a kick that I don't think I could eat the whole thing in one sitting. They also have free karaoke in the main room for anyone interested, which is a fun addition! Overall, I gave this place a 4 because the people were nice, and I liked that you could choose between the cute garden patio or the karaoke area. The food was decent. Nothing amazing for me, but still good overall. I will say, if you're specifically looking for pad see ew, my favorite is still King of Thai Boat Noodles!

Thai spice is way more of an intense, painful heat than Korean chili peppers (in my opinion!). This dish even made my spice tolerant friend sweat a little but couldn't stop eating because everything was packed with flavor. Service was fast - I would definitely come back here (and maybe bring a jacket). At least I know the AC works here!

We ordered a few different dishes, including Lao-style papaya salad and Thai boat noodles. I requested the papaya salad to be prepared Lao-style, and while I appreciated the spiciness, I could still taste more of the Thai-style preparation. Personally, it wasn't quite what I was hoping for. As for the Thai boat noodles, the portion was generous, and I appreciated the variety of noodles. The beef was absolutely delicious and easily my favorite part of the dish! However, the broth was just okay for my taste. I'd personally rate the broth around 3.5/5. It wasn't bad, but I felt it could have been more flavorful. My friend's nephew ordered the Pad Kra Pao and absolutely loved it! Although I didn't try his dish myself, I thought it was worth mentioning his positive experience. The restaurant itself is fairly small, but it wasn't busy when we visited, so the atmosphere was comfortable. Customer service was great! The staff was friendly, and we had an enjoyable dining experience. A parking tip for future visitors: Parking near the restaurant can be limited. You may want to consider the nearby Walmart parking garage or a paid parking option. Just be sure to check the posted parking rules and fees before leaving your vehicle. Overall, I had a good experience. While the papaya salad and boat noodle broth weren't exactly to my preference, I appreciated the generous portions, delicious beef, friendly service, and opportunity to try somewhere new! Overall experience: 4/5
