The Thai food at Siam smiles is excellent. It is prepared fresh and to order. The restaurant is a little small but the food makes up for any lack of ambiance. Bring some wine and enjoy. Try the summer roll. It is a refreshing taste. read more

We frequent this little gem at least once a month, and have yet to get a meal that was less than wonderful. Personal faves include the Massaman Curry (creamy, not too spicy, great for those who are new to thai), the Tom Yum Gai spicy chicken soup, Pad Thai (they do justice to a classic), and if you just want a little something, the chicken satay is generous and really, really good. You also really ought to grab yourself a Thai Iced Tea for an authentic accompaniment, or dig into a big bowl of *true* green tea ice cream (with raspberry sauce...mmm) for dessert as well. Lunch runs about $7-10, Dinner runs around $8-14 a plate. They don't have a dress code, but I wouldn't stroll in wearing shorty-shorts, if only out of respect. I'm pretty sure it's BYOB, and they have a website at www.SiamSmilesNJ.com The place is very classy and tasteful with their decor, and definitely suitable for a date - romantic lighting with candles on the tables, soft instrumental music, intimate setting. The owner is warm and inviting, and her delightfully skilled family serves and cooks your meal - come a few times and you'll be on a first name basis with this cheerful and polite crew. If you have trouble finding it, keep an eye out for either a Hess station on your right or a McDonalds on your left, depending on which direction you're coming from. They are on the left side of a tiny collection of shops called "Pine Valley Plaza". read more

Ordered Beef Satay, Curry Puffs, and Pad Ga Prow. Under-impressed with it all. The Peanut sauce with the satay was runny, the meat was tough, and not well seasoned. The Curry Puffs were swimming in grease, and were mostly potato. The Pad Ga Prow (we ordered it with chopped beef), had very little beef, and had too strong a fish-sauce taste to be enjoyable. Won't be going back here anytime soon. read more

Great Thai restaurant. Five stars for the food. Service level is 3.5. We have never been disappointed with the food. Avoid Friday nights and weekends when the place tends to get very busy and food may not be as good. read more

Everything is so fine! Love their mussel. And the sweet spicy pineapple chicken appetizers was AMAZING!!!The best Thai food I ever have! High recommend! Although we waited 20mins for dishes, worth waiting for. read more

Service isn't the best, but their food is amazing!!!!!! Try their green curry with chicken!!!! Not many people can make their curry good, but does place does! Hands down! Gotta disagree with my fellow Yelper who says this is mainly takeout - they have a full-on dining room, larger than many nearby restos and just as cute as the competition, and even a bit more physically comfortable. Our apps were nondescript - the summer rolls and beef salad - and I don't see ordering them again, but the mains were delicious: massaman curry chicken and a stir-fried pork dish with green beans and carrots. We will definitely we back, trying different apps next time. BYO, with a reasonably-priced liquor store right next door in the strip mall. read more

I am always happy to go to Siam Smiles. The food is very good and they will season dishes as you like it (I like Thai hot). Very good food at a reasonable price, and it is BYOB! read more

This place is awesome. Imagine you had a grandma that was schooled in the art of making awesome Thai food. That is what you get here. Yummy Thai. I had the Thai curry (good if you like peanut tasting food) and I had the pad kee muang (chicken, shrimp, flat noodles and spices). That dish is probably one of my favorites. read more

My husband and I have tried all of the Thai food restaurants in the area-and so far our go-to Thai restaurant has become Siam Smiles. My husband frequents there more than I do though. He has odd days off, so sometimes he likes to treat himself to some green curry at Siam Smiles while I'm working (how dare he!! haha). So, while he gets to enjoy the delicious food @ Siam Smiles, I am stuck at work, but I won't hold that against him. There are a few times where I've asked him to bring me back some Pad See Ew (my favorite). So, to keep it short and sweet-Siam Smiles serves quality Thai food at reasonable prices. Though we've only done takeout from this establishment, I would eat there as well. The restaurant is small but nice, the atmosphere is pleasant. They seem to be quite accommodating as my husband likes his green curry a certain way-and they never bat an eyelash at making it the way he wants it. Mmm now I'm craving Thai food...might have to pay a visit! ;) read more

If you leave in Manalapan, Marlboro, Old Bridge, Matawan area and like Thai, it makes sense to go to this place. I didn't like the green papaya salad. Chicken satay was decent. The big surprise was my duck (no. 53 on the menu). I like it spice and it was. Tender with very nice sweet and sour sauce. My son ordered Pad Kee Ma and it was with shrimp and chicken. He liked it. To summarize..better than a few Thai places in Old Bridge and East Brunswick. I would come back to try whole red snapper. read more

Great Thai place! Thai food is one of my favorites and I'm very happy there's a really good place in the neighborhood!

I work a few minutes away from Siam Smiles - and I eat here about once a month. It's definitely my favorite Thai Restaurant in New Jersey and one of my overall favorites. The prices area very reasonable - and the food quality is top notch. The Thai iced tea is inconsistent here - but always good. I usually order the Red Curry Chicken, Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, Chicken with Basil, and Chicken with Pineapple and Cashews. If we order soup - I get the Tom Kha Gai or Tom Kha Gha. You can't go wrong with any of these menu items. I honestly love them all. My favorite dessert here is the Sticky Rice with Mango. Mmmm... but not always available. I'll have to be honest and say that I loved the original "NOODLES" the best (which was at this location before Siam Smiles and before Cafe de Thai) - but you'd have to wait a year and a day for food back then. The service time and service quality at Siam Smile is 100 times better. Definitely check this place out - you won't be disappointed. read more

Place has been here awhile but I finally checked it out for takeout today. Menu is typical Thai. I've eaten a lot of Thai places considering I lived in NYC for 4 years. Vegetable spring roll order was good. I got the tilapia filet special which is tilapia sautéed in a ginger scallion sauce. Was excellent. Not too shabby. Would order from here again if I were in the mood for Thai considering there are not too much exclusively Thai food restaurants. read more

This place has the best iced tea in town. Prices for lunch are reasonable and service is good. Medium is very spicy though, and the salad is too sweet. I had the soft shell crab from the dinner menu and it was mix of crispy and tender read more

Terrible service! They say food would be ready in 50 minutes and waited additional 30 minutes when we arrived to pick it up. Food was bland and not worth the effort! read more

Probably the best AND most affordable Thai food for dine and/or takeout around the area. Thai food around the Red Bank area is too expensive and not that great in comparison. Siam Smiles is the only place I know of that has tasty and affordable Thai prices - I will go out of my way when visiting relatives in Lincroft to go to Siam Smiles. It's that much better. You'll pay $11 for pad thai at dinner as opposed to a hefty $15 in Red Bank. read more

Flavor was just average. Nothing to rave or rant about. The reason for 2 stars is the ridiculous small portions for the price. The plates were bigger than the actually food. Prefer Thai Thai instead. read more

We place orders for pick up occasionally, it is always very good. The orders are always correct and the food is hot when I get it home. I knocked 1 star off because the prices are just a little too high. read more

Hidden gem. This little place hidden in a dirty strip mall is great!!!! Nothing is bad on menu and owner makes sure the freshest ingredients are used. Good price good food and good service. BYOB. read more

We went to this thai place on a whim - while the food was ok, we waited a long time for it to be served and a long time to pay for our meal. There were only 2 other parties seated. Portions smaller than expected as well. read more

Went here with Matawan John about a week ago. Place is banging. It's hidden away in a rando strip mall. It's BYOB, and there happens to be a liquor store adjacent. Prices are very cheap and food is very good. We had a fantastic waitress too. We started with shrimp and scallop dumplings, which were incredible. I got the Triple Delight for entree. It was beef, chicken, shrimp, veggies, and was overflowing. It was spicy and delicious. For dessert I got fried cheesecake. It was so glutenous, but good read more

Tiny Thai place in a non-descript strip mall but the food is oh so tasty. Some of the best Pad Thai I've had in a long time. The wait staff is friendly and goes out of their way to make you happy. Would highly recommend. read more

This was the second time I have eaten here. The food is excellent, however I had a bad experience the first time with the staff. I checked my credit card statement and they fluffed my bill (meaning they added $10 more to the tip I originally left). I was heated by this incident and reported them. After 5 years or so I decided to try them again and like always the food was great, but just waiting to see my statement this time. This was the second Thai place to do this to me BTW. Other than that incident I give the food a 5 out of 5 read more

Great food, great prices and great portions. We got it to go so we can't really speak to eating there, but what we got was outstanding. For an area that is primarily made up of Italian restaurants, the other ethnic spots are pretty much golden. We started with the curry puffs which were very tasty (although a bit mushy) and then each got a noodle dish (pad thai and the siam noodle). As I said, the portion size was great and the pricing was very fair for what you got. The flavor was excellent and not too saucy, as many places often over-do. Having spent some time in Thailand, I can honestly say that this is very authentic in taste and style and makes for a good meal. Definitely worth every penny. read more

Small strip mall restaurant, with limited seating. Very friendly owner and accommodating. Service is a little slow and scattered, but I can overlook this because of the great food. We had the Thai salad which was unusual since it had potato chips with it and very little salad. Glass noodle soup was outstanding, so is the tom ka gai soup. This restaurant utilizes spices much more than other Thai restaurants I've frequented. The medium is what I got and its very spicy and the mild is spicy enough. I'd wager the very spicy would be"nuclear". The food is flavorful and delicious. The green, red, yellow and masoman curries are fantastic. A good selection of desserts. I love the green tea ice cream. read more

The spiciest thai food i have eaten. I had a salmon in green curry and it was spicy all the way through, not just the sauce. The salmon was pretty good. The chicken satay however lacked seasoning. The dishes are quite reasonably priced. read more

I used to go to Thai Thai in Old Bridge but if I have a hankering for Thai, Siam Smile is my spot. It's inexpensive and the food appears to be made to order. Like the other reviewers said, it's a mom-and-pop type thai place and I like that. Ate there and have taken out and both were good. I didn't think the portions were small, they felt like a good size for dinner. I finished my meal because I was very hungry but otherwise would have had extra leftover. read more

What Happened Siam?? The smiles are gone, from a lack luster takeout to a waitress who gave me the look of death for asking her for some 'nam prik pao' chilli sauce, that's the stuff lying on tables by the bucketful..what gives,,Where are the smiling people and great food? read more

Save your money. Go next door to west lake. Got a chicken dish and beef red curry. There might have been a few shavings of meat in each. Also they give you ruffles potato chips in a container for the side salad. Lmao! What kind of joint is this. Maybe one of the least favorite Thai places I've been. read more

Flat food cooked without any passion or imagination.

Service with a smile! Small BYOB Worth stoping by. You can pick your heat! I love spicy. The Thai Hot is not for you if you don't! It'll make you cry. I like to order one dish hot/Thai hot and another mild. Your mouth will thank you! The Tom Yung Googn soup is delicious! This is one I like to order Thai hot then get either a mild fried rice or pad Thai. Can never go wrong with a Curry dish. I tried the Shrimp Summer rolls. Peanut sauce was Delish! However I felt the roll its self was to big filled with mostly shredded lettuce. Bigger is not always better! A Must try for good Thai food. read more

Siam Smiles is great - we've never had a bad meal. The service is extremely good and pad Thai is fantastic. The vibe is very relaxed abs it's BYOB. The relaxed atmosphere and dated decor permit a more informal dress code. If you like Thai don't miss! read more
