After our water heater drain valve suddenly blew off and soaked our garage, we were assigned…read moreValiant to perform the work to repair (ultimately replace) the water heater. After I read the reviews here, I was extremely concerned and considered calling HWA to request another company. However, we were in a bind with no hot water and company arriving the next day. We were told by HWA, that they would be out first thing the next morning. When I hadn't heard from anyone by 9:30am the next day, I called and spoke to Jason. He said he had other jobs and could not be there until between 4 and 6pm. Again, I was worried and a little annoyed. However, Jason showed up when he said he would, diagnosed the situation and spoke with HWA for a while. He said he could not complete the replacement until two days later. Not what we wanted to hear, but we were thankful to have it covered (minus the cost of bringing everything up to code - totally understandable, which we discussed and I approved to HWA prior to any work being completed). Jason showed up on the day and the time when he said he would. They had everything up to code and the new heater plumbed in about 1.5 hrs. He walked us through the new heater, code updates, how to operate/maintain the heater and how to prevent sediment buildup going forward (we're relatively new to TX hard water). Overall, Jason and Kelly showed up when they said they would, performed good work in a timely manner. I'm not sure how my experience was so different than some of the others on here, but I'd like to say ours was as positive as it could have been (when dealing with plumbing issues)

This is on top of the immediate leak we had in the irrigation system he fixed for us right after the water heater install. For that, we had to have another company come out and correct his mistake - they said once again he failed to use the correct part. He never refunded the $600 we were out on that repair. How is this guy in business? Thanks to my home warranty for putting me in touch with the absolute worst plumber available.

My landlord hired RedBud Plumbing to inspect a serious plumbing issue at the home I rent. After the visit, I contacted the company to request a copy of the work order because I wanted to understand the recommended repairs, document the condition of the property, and consider hiring RedBud myself if my landlord chose not to move forward with the work. I explained that my family has been living with what the plumber verbally identified as a sewer gas odor and that the plumber advised a smoke test would be needed to determine the source. I also explained that I needed the documentation for my records due to the ongoing dispute with my landlord. The owner declined to provide the work order because my landlord was the customer. While I understand that may be the company's policy, I was disappointed that there was no willingness to provide any written confirmation of the inspection or help me understand the findings despite the health and safety concerns I described. The tech who came to the home was professional, but I left the interaction feeling unsupported during a difficult situation. I hope the company will consider how it can better assist tenants facing potentially serious habitability issues while still respecting its obligations to the property owner. There are many choices for plumbers, and sadly this would not be my first. Family values seem to be just a slogan.

Rooterman has changed over the years and, unfortunately, not in a good way. My first review of them…read morewas in 2015 so that tells you that I have been a customer for a very long time. The focus of this review is the water heater that they installed on 1/26/23. As you can see from my other reviews, the water heater that was installed before that one was in 2016. 7 years is a reasonable amount of time for a water heater to last. The problem is that the anode rod is failing in this current one. Edie came out and drained it on June 29th. We are not currently living there. In fact, the house is for sale. The problem was the hot water was turning yellow. He said to run the hot water, especially in the tub upstairs once a week, which we have been doing despite living across town now. Guess what? The hot water is yellow in tint again. Here's the rub. At the top of my receipt it says 50 gallon water heater, 6 year essential warranty. Fast forward to yesterday. Garrett comes out and notes the yellowish tint in the hot water. So, he says he can maybe replace the anode rod for about $500. He also says I can try calling AO Smith to see if they will send a new water heater and they will install it for about 2K. So, this is like going to a mechanic and a part fails and they say, why don't you call the company and see if they will send you a new part? I am pretty sure that is not a thing. By the way, he tried to get the anode rod out and it is welded solid in there. I told him we would give a credit to a potential buyer but after talking to my husband I realize that is not a good approach. It is already a brutal market to try to sell a home. So, I am faced with having to replace it although I have a document that says at the top 6 year essential warranty. That makes no sense. I will have to bid it out and Rooterman will not be on the list. They replaced the heater in 2016 and then again in 2023. I had no qualms in having them install it in 2023 because they had my complete trust. This is no longer the case. I no longer recommend Rooterman Plumbing. I gave them 2 stars because they used to do a good and honest job for me. I no longer feel that this is the case.

Terrific comprehensive plumbing experience -- from initial home inspection ahead of closing to…read morerepairs and installation. Scheduling was been easy and reliable, and communication very good. In particular ROSS did an awesome job every step of the way in everything plumbing -- he is tremendously knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and diligent with his workmanship. Mario and Luigi need to take note. During the initial inspection in the home buying process, he understood the particular focus areas of concern -- but also performed a comprehensive inspection with attention to detail to the overall state of everything plumbing related. Ross was very clear (and practical) in communicating the various observations and recommendations, as well as preparing different estimates. Afterwards, he returned to perform various repairs from placing (involving digging) a new water shut off to installing a much needed new water heater. Very satisfied with Daniel's overall, really made for a smooth experience in the course of finding a new home.

I chose Daniel's Plumbing & HVAC in September 2025 for a full HVAC replacement. I went with them…read morebecause their customer service seemed great during the sales process, and they promoted a strong warranty and service plan that was included in the price. Unfortunately, the experience didn't really live up to those expectations. The installation itself didn't go as planned. During the initial appointment, measurements apparently weren't taken correctly. When the installers arrived, they realized the system wouldn't fit as expected and had to cut out part of the ceiling to make everything work. Because of this, the installation took much longer than expected and they had to come back another day to finish the job. About a month later when I tried to turn the heat on for the first time, the system didn't work. I had to call for a service appointment, and the technician discovered that the system had never actually been turned on by the installers. The tech initially tried to charge me around $100 for the visit, which I pushed back on since the issue was clearly related to the installation. After some discussion they eventually agreed not to charge me. Now that it's tax season, I've run into another issue. One of the selling points during the sales process was that the system would qualify for energy tax credits and rebates. When I started filing my taxes, I learned that the IRS requires the cost of each component to be itemized. However, my invoice from Daniel's lists everything as one lump sum. For the past couple of months I've been calling Daniel's trying to get an itemized invoice or clarification so I can properly claim the rebate. Each time I've been told that Adrian would call me back, but I never received a return call. Today I finally spoke with someone who told me they will not provide an itemized invoice and didn't really have any solution. The whole experience has been frustrating. The sales process and promises were great, but the follow-through has been disappointing. Between the installation issues, the system not being turned on, and now the lack of support with documentation for the rebates they promoted, the customer service just hasn't matched what was advertised. I'm not sure I could recommend Daniel's based on my experience. If customer service and clear communication matter to you, that's something to keep in mind.
