S/o my boy cared Mango tango
Marquese C.

Was in the area and wanted to try this coffee spot. I got the mango tango smoothie and it was super tasty. The service was spot on. The ambiance is very nice, relaxing and offers open seating. Parking is inconvenient but I was on foot so yea I'd come back for sure. lol i told them Carter for the name but got "Cared".

Iced dirty chai

First time at shortwave! Stopped in for some "fuel" before our day at the Florida aquarium. It is conveniently close to the aquarium. It was extremely busy and crowded due to a cruise ship that had either just arrived or was about to depart. Service was still surprisingly fast! My husband and I both ordered a dirty chai and it was pretty good. They have a pretty good selection of tea and coffee as well as food options. Very aesthetically pleasing and good service!

Matcha and Croissants (mine is a baklava croissant)

We've been here a few times now and it's one of our fav stops when we bike downtown. They have easy access to bike racks and the location is just outside of the busiest areas so it makes it simple to get back on our route. We always get matcha and I love that they continually come up with new recipes and seasonal drinks. It makes it exciting that we get to try something new every time. I usually will get a croissant because we're biking and I'm just trying to get some fuel but some of our other friends have said their food is really good. The croissants are amazing as well; so light, crispy, and fluffy. The service is always very friendly and they pump everything out as quickly as they can. We've gotten served the wrong drink before and they were happy to quickly remake it for us, no questions asked. Another reason I love coming here is all the pups! There is usually at least 2 dogs there at any time and I just love seeing their cute little faces. Not to mention!!!! How gorgeous it is inside! Shortwave is a great stop if you are in the mood for a chill coffee/tea break but make it posh. Last note is that the bathrooms are always spotless! I'll keep coming back until they don't want me anymore!

Great location walking distance to close restaurants, park area and cruise dock. Great spot to hang out, meet friends or just relax. Coffee is made perfectly and the service is great!

Blueberry Matcha

It was okay, but I probably would not go back. The ambiance was nice, and there were a good amount of people using the space to work, which gave it a relaxed atmosphere. However, the matcha was watery and did not have much flavor.

This is a cool coffee shop located outside of sparkmans wharf. I came with a friend during working hours to have some coffee and get some work done. It was quite busy on a Wednesday around 11 AM. This establishment is also connected to some apartment buildings so I'm assuming it was also pretty busy because of that. The inside is pretty large and there's plenty of space and tables if you wanted to work or do some schoolwork or just have some coffee I enjoy the ambience. It was very modern and trendy. The coffee was OK. I've certainly have had better to be Frank. I thought it was gonna be better than what it was. They do have a lot of options and different flavors.

Fig butter matcha

I've enjoyed many a matcha latte at Shortwave throughout the years! I love the location, right in channelside near Sparkman Wharf, the cruise ships and the aquarium. I typically stop here to get some work done prior to a Pilates class just a couple steps away at Bodyrok. There is a variety of seating available, with plenty of outlets. I enjoy the more lounge-type chairs. They have fabulous lattes and I enjoy their lavender syrup. Notably, they have great decaf espresso, too. Their seasonal drinks are always a hit! This time I tried the fig butter matcha which was totally unique and fun for Fall!

Berry Pie Latte

I have been to shortwave previously and liked my coffee, but I came in today for the Berry Pie Latte and was served it without cold foam. Then I asked where the cold foam was and she said oh sorry let me add it, and she squeezed it in but it was not on top and just clumped inside. She then said the cold foam is in there just not traditional way. I just grabbed the drink and left the coffee was not great, was really hoping for the price to have a yummy latte with cold foam on top.

Ummmmm this place rocked!!! I've been DYING for a great iced latte and BINGO BANGO I FOUND ONE!! I ordered the Carmel iced latte w white mocha cold foam. I chugged this down it was delicious. I also ordered the avacado toast with fried egg. SOOOOOOO GOOOD. Very flavorful. I would order this over and over again if I could. I loved it here.

Lavender Latte
Nishant N.

While walking down Water Street in Tampa, we came across a Shortwave Coffee cart and were impressed by its setup. Curious to try it, we decided to order coffee. In addition to their regular menu, Shortwave also offers a seasonal coffee selection. From the available options, we ordered: Iced Latte, Lavender Latte Our coffees were prepared quickly, and both drinks were fantastic. The Iced Latte was smooth and well-balanced, while the Lavender Latte had a delightful touch, making it a unique and enjoyable choice. The coffee was refreshing and the perfect post-brunch drink.

Mint coffee

Very cute coffee shop. Lots of people working throughout with comfy seating. Love the seasonal specials. Initially upon ordering, the staff was having technical difficulties with their iPad and they didn't acknowledge us for over a minute which was awkward. I would've appreciated even a "one second while we get this figured out!" I got the mint mayday and they were able to make it dairy free which I appreciated.

Southwest chicken wrap and iced matcha
Taylor R.

This coffee shop is so aesthetic and welcoming! This space is the perfect spot to hang out or get some work done. The location is great too, super convenient and easy to find. The baristas were so kind and really helpful, I got an iced matcha with banana bread syrup (recommendation from the barista) and it was 11/10. We also got lunch there and the southwest chicken wrap was good, but I think next time I'd skip it and go straight to the pastries. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to!

Beautiful work space and great design choices within the cafe. So relaxed and inviting. The food was scrumptious, I had the salad and my wife had the wrap and they were to die for. Highly recommend this place and oh yeah the coffee was bust. We had ice latte's.

Overall, my experience here was awesome…read more However, I just want to point out a few things for people who have never been here because I was unaware. 1. They do not take cash. 2. They do not have matcha. 3. They do not have food. These days coffee makes my body feel weirddddd so I was a bit staggered when I walked in and realized those 3 things since I was here with a bike group and I really needed some food. I considered having coffee anyway but without food and being on a 15+ mile bike ride, I wasn't trying to have a medical episode so I decided to try their chai tea latte. It was truly delicious!! It got me home and able to eat so thank god for that! Some of the rest of my party got the herbal tea and the way it was served was super cool. It had me intrigued. But if you like coffee, everyone said it was delicious. The fact that they have a latte on draft is pretty amazing as well. I loved the location because it's kind of ducked off in the corner which is why I had never been there before. But above all else, the amount of pups here were enough to make me return time and time again. I met the cutest greyhounds which are my fav so my soul was happy.

It was pretty empty because we went in the morning. But it's very spacious and you have multiple table options to sit at. The service was phenomenal!! our coffee bartender was so kind and knowledgeable in all of the drinks. I got a dirty chai latte and it was so enjoyable. They don't serve a ton of options, but the options that they do have are very good. If you're in the area, please give this place a try!

I loved both the Petit Joy (cold brew, coconut, almond) and the pistachio cloud (espresso, pistachio, cold foam). We loved the crab beignets--they were lightly fried and stuffed to the max with crab. I would 100% get these again. We also both got the burger with truffle fries. The burger tasted like a luxury Big Mac. The sauce and lettuce reminded me of that nostalgic fast food burger but this was 10x better. Would order that again in a heart beat. The only thing that I wouldn't order again is the profiteroles. The gelato was icey and the profiteroles tasted a little stale. Our waiter James was friendly and efficient. We also had the pleasure of live music during our visit. Can't wait for my next visit!
