Buddy Brew Coffee: Where the Beans Are Buzzing... Even If the Baristas Aren't Caffeine? 10/10. Vibes? Somewhere between "just clocked in" and "existential espresso crisis." The coffee was stellar--bold, smooth, and clearly brewed by someone who respects the bean. The staff? Let's just say they had the energy of a soft jazz playlist at 6am. Minimal words, maximum efficiency. I respect that. No unnecessary chit-chat, just pure "here's your drink, have a nice day" energy. If you're into great coffee and that low-key, slightly-too-chill artisan aesthetic where everyone looks like they just woke up from a nap in a poetry book, this place is your spiritual home. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I bring them a motivational poster next time? Also yes.

Located inside Armature Works Food Hall, Buddy Brew Coffee had a bit of a line which to me indicates a good sign. The Berry'd Treasure off the Gasparilla Specialty Drink Menu caught my attention. I was curious about what matcha and raspberry syrup would taste like. It also included vanilla syrup, espresso, and oat milk. I couldn't really taste the raspberry nor the matcha but I wasn't mad about it. Still tasty. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/buddy-brew-coffee-tampa-11?select=TSvDHHGrW-G1quNDIqBgUQ Solid coffee spot.

I was craving a fall beverage but I hate pumpkin spice. Buddy Brew has a great fall menu out right now. I tried their salted maple flat white which was so delicious, and iced since fall in Tampa is still 80 degrees. Great service at this location!

Located within Armature food hall, they always have a fun menu with a ton of options for drinks, teas, juices, coffees and even food options. Great breakfast sandwiches and the staff are accommodating of non dairy alternatives. Their booth design is very cute and I'll keep coming back!

The coffee is on point every time! Staff is super friendly and helpful! Armature Works is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee and escape the heat!

I was able to get me an iced coffee before my yoga workout this morning so that was a plus because even though the line was very long, it moved very quickly and my drink was ready immediately! That was pretty cool. I will definitely go back for more coffee and even try the juices that they offer. I would also like to try the food that they have but for now I will just stick with the drinks.

grabbed an early breakfast here after run club. Line is usually longer but tends to move quickly. This time I got the TBR with an Arnold Palmer. I usually get hot coffee, but after a run, I needed a refresher! the TBR was plain and delicious. Ciabatta bread was very soft and doughy. They even hooked me up with a refill on the Arnold Palmer. Workers are pleasant enough given how many customers they have to deal with daily. Definitely a nice staple in armature works.

Perfect pick-me-up after a 6 mile run, The oranges were a really sweet add-on with the TBR sandwich. Super soft and fluffy ciabatta bread with savory turkey breast and a super rich and creamy aïoli sauce. The cookie was pretty good definitely not the best in tampa, but the salt was a nice touch. The coffee is good, on the lighter side as I got half caf and skim milk.

Buddy Brew's Caramel Latte was the perfect start to my Sunday walk on the Riverwalk. Their Caramel Latte was delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness. There was a a bit of a wait at 9:30AM, but it was worth it.

Looked this place up when visiting Tampa Coffee was yummy. The line was a little long on a Sunday around noon. But the vibe of the market was great. I was disappointed though that I didn't get the little cool doggo cup that I saw on other yelp reviews :( * Instead for generic white cups which was not as cute

Buddy Brew must have the best coffee because the line was long. However the baristas worked diligently to get those orders out fast. I opted for a sparkling sunrise refresher since I visited on a really hot day. It was delicious and I would try it again. I wish they had more tea options.

Very good coffee and very nice staff. I had an americano a couple of times and I had the buddy brew screw a couple of times. Interesting drink where they give you salt two shots of espresso and then fresh grapefruit juice. They're very good coffee for the local area remind me of caribou up in Minnesota. I'll make sure to stop back again next time I'm in Tampa.

How I heard of this place: When visiting Tampa, a friend recommended Armature Works as a place great for coffee, with space to wander along the river, play at the splash park, and enjoy the day out. Type of cuisine: Coffee and a selection of pastries, sandwiches. Ambiance: Quaintly set in a row of eateries, each boasting rustic, unfinished decor, the warm darkness an airy, cool break from the heat and humidity outdoors. Buddy Brew has a walk-up counter from which patrons may place an order then return for their pick-ups. A small barquette is available at one side for a few people to sit and enjoy their treats. What I ordered: A Pirate's Paradise ($5) for my son, made with grapefruit juice, house-made mango syrup and sparkling water; a large drip coffee for my husband ($3.75); a caramel steamer ($4.24) for our daughter; and a 12oz mocha (5.75) - which they unknowingly term a "mocha latte" - for me. What I loved: The Pirate's Paradise was refreshing, slightly sweet and perfect for the warm fall weather. The coffee beverages could have all been avoided. Why I loved it: Armature Works is a cool and great spot for families, for treats, for meals, and for exploring the river walk. Cost: Average

I honestly went back and forth on whether I needed to update this review, because there's a lot to love about this place. The quality of the food and coffee is consistently great, and the space itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. That said, I still can't give it 5 stars due to service gaps. There isn't a designated person clearing or wiping tables, so when you're lucky enough to get one, you have to track down someone behind the counter ~ usually in the middle of cashiering or making drinks ~ to ask for it to be cleaned. Also, every single time food is brought out, utensils are never included. I truly like this place and it remains one of my regular spots for breakfast or brunch, and I'll continue coming back. I just hope the owners read these reviews and take this feedback to heart, because with small service improvements, this place could easily be a 5-star experience.

Overall, my experience here was awesome…read more However, I just want to point out a few things for people who have never been here because I was unaware. 1. They do not take cash. 2. They do not have matcha. 3. They do not have food. These days coffee makes my body feel weirddddd so I was a bit staggered when I walked in and realized those 3 things since I was here with a bike group and I really needed some food. I considered having coffee anyway but without food and being on a 15+ mile bike ride, I wasn't trying to have a medical episode so I decided to try their chai tea latte. It was truly delicious!! It got me home and able to eat so thank god for that! Some of the rest of my party got the herbal tea and the way it was served was super cool. It had me intrigued. But if you like coffee, everyone said it was delicious. The fact that they have a latte on draft is pretty amazing as well. I loved the location because it's kind of ducked off in the corner which is why I had never been there before. But above all else, the amount of pups here were enough to make me return time and time again. I met the cutest greyhounds which are my fav so my soul was happy.

The coffee shop is actually connected to some kitchen store and there is a nice little gift shop to browse while you wait on your beverage being prepared. I'm a huge fan of drip coffee and always judge a coffee shop by how they prepare this simple, yet flavorful beverage. The Perfect Press Coffee lives up to its name- their drip coffee is smooth, bold, and flavorful. I love it!

Inside this winding housing development, you'll find a small shopping plaza-gasoline on one end, dry cleaners on the other... and in between those bookends, a string of small businesses. And behind the door with all the flowers around it: Perfect Press Coffee. It's a hopping and popping kind of place. I've been there twice in the last year-and it's busy. It's a fun mix of neighborhood moms with strollers-people stopping on the way to or from work-and a few remote work workers-who thrive in the happy buzz of a booming business. To the right when you walk in: coffee, tea and sweet and/or savory small bites. There's bench seating along the wall, several small tables and two little couches in the middle.
