It is $25 per service, which I see some people find to be high, but I feel it is a high quality service for a reasonable, fair price. Ultimately, I'd rather pay a few dollars more to ensure the person who owns the business and performs the work is very motivated to do a good job. Short Pump has crazy rent prices, too, even somewhere like Sola. I'm always so impressed with the owner. After my first visit, my skin broke out and I assumed it was the cream. When I went back, I told her and she seemed genuinely concerned and happy to help ensure this didn't happen again. This was by far the most I have ever paid for threading. The owner was very nice and accommodating. There was no wait. The shop is very cute & clean. I really appreciated the owner guiding me to the location because it is in the back of the shopping center. My eyebrows look good. I'm still sticker shocked that I paid $24 to have my tattooed brows cleaned up. Threading cost between $7-15 in most major cities. Since moving out o Richmond 16+ years, I've often had my eye brows threaded when traveling to other cities because the cost has always been double the fee in RVA. Great experience. Mariam is fantastic! I've been going I her for approximately 4 years now, and I've never had a complaint. She's prompt, friendly, personable, and an expert in her field. She's real. Her conversations are ridiculous and funny. I go see her every two weeks for threading and every 4-5 weeks for waxing, which means I see her pretty regularly. The space is well-lit and will be receiving a much-needed (and deserved!) makeover shortly. I highly recommend her to those coming from other locations that have more if these services to offer: I came from the DC/NoVa area and I initially felt like I wouldn't find the same level of quality and service as the big cities, but I found it with Mariam. Mariam is amazing! She was the first person I ever went to to get my eyebrows done and trust me I was nervous! I didn't even know what I wanted but she knew just how to whip my virgin bushy eyebrows into shape! She's hilarious and takes great care of you, and you're in and out of her appointments like that! It's like a visiting a friend during your busy schedule. Just remember to book ahead of time because there is a price difference between walk-ins and scheduled appointments. It pays to schedule ahead of time! I would normally give a 5 because I have gone back at least 5-7 times. The only reason I'm giving a 4 stars is because she always asked if it's my first time. I know there's a ton of customers that come in and out, but if you don't recognize me by the 5th time..... Also the first 2-3 times, she kept telling me that I over pluck. But my eyebrows are naturally thin. I go there to give it shape. I only pluck the angry long thick one right in the middle. I don't know why that got to me, but it did. My eyebrows look nice, however I made an appointment for 2:45 and was not seen until after 3. Then I offered to pay via Venmo and she automatically included a tip in the price she requested from me on Venmo for herself. I think this is misleading for people who intend to tip and may lead people inadvertently tipping extra on top of the tip she gives herself within the price requested. I'm writing this review based on the collective experience of the women in my family - my two sisters, mother, and myself. Please note up front that my low review is due to their shady business practices, and not just their actual eyebrow threading, which is addressed later in this review. Their business practice is shady enough to completely avoid utilizing their services again, despite the good threading service offered. My rating is low because of the ridiculous credit card practices employed here. This isn't any one artist's fault, to my knowledge, but is most likely a reflection of management. My mom recently went here and used her debit card to pay for her eyebrow threading. This studio has two options for payment - cash, which is $12, and credit/debit, which is $15. Nevermind that it's utterly ridiculous to charge an extra $3 for the use of a card, but whatever. Fine. That's your policy, you state it up front; we'll live with it. What happened, however, is inexcusable. This business has the ludicrous practice of not only charging their customers UP FRONT presumably because of the credit card fees associated with their system, but also charges them AGAIN on the back end! My mom paid $15 not only up front, but whatever machine or system they used also charged her a $2.50 ATM fee on top of that! Can you believe it? This company is pocketing the extra $3.00 they charge on the front end to their customers, and then their system is causing banks to charge ANOTHER $2.50. Without any notice, or warning, or disclosure. This happened to my mom TWICE before she realized what was going on. It's completely unethical and inexcusable to charge your customers on the front AND back end because you can't/won't stomach your credit card fees. It would be much more reasonable for you to ONLY accept cash and not credit cards if you're going to misrepresent what the charges associated with the card are. My mom contacted the store and asked to speak to management, and of course management is conveniently out of the country for a while. Of course. What upsets me most is that this seems like a workaround to avoid paying taxes or something on their end. What kind of legitimate credit card system charges an "ATM" fee? Buyer beware, do NOT use your credit card here, as their system is incredibly shady and dishonest. There is at least one other review listed here which indicates the same thing. Why are they charging cards and providing cash back to at least one other reviewer? It doesn't make any sense. As I alluded earlier, the threading itself is good. The woman who threaded my eyebrows managed to do so painlessly, after I avoided threading for YEARS due to the previous "artists" leaving deep cuts on my skin. My sisters and mom were very pleased too, and I know that my two sisters are regular customers (who usually pay cash). However, it's a complete shame and loss for everybody that management's shady business practices will prevent them from receiving our business in the future. I've been to Mariam several times for about 2 years now. She does have some shady business practices, which is unfortunate since I do like her work. As you can see from other past reviews, there's an issue with credit cards, so I won't go into that. In short, Mariam may randomly add an "up-charge" to make a procedure more expensive than its listed price, without telling you until the end. I recently had one incident which made me really uncomfortable. Usually, eyebrow threading costs $12. One time, towards the end of the appointment, Mariam said that it had been "too long" since I last came in and that she would charge me $14 instead, since she needed to do some additional "reshaping". This was weird to me, since I didn't ask for anything different to be done, my brows were in a similar state with previous times, and I was returning within the same time frame as I normally do. The duration of the appointment was even the same amount of time as prior visits (around 5 minutes). Afterwards, she tried to persuade me to come in more frequently in even shorter intervals, so I wouldn't be charged $14 next time. That being said, I already go to her several times a year for touch-ups. It wasn't that much of a difference, but I felt very uneasy at the time - as if she was scamming me to make more money... Typically, prices are standard per procedure and I'm shocked that she would add extra charges that punish returning and faithful customers. She had never informed me of this additional fee before and it isn't listed on her website. Is this something she would do to a first time customer that had never had their eyebrows shaped by her before? During my first visit with her, she certainly did not put an additional charge for shaping, even though the purpose of the appointment was to reshape my brows completely. In other words, her claim of an additional "reshaping" charge did not make sense to me during my latest visit, since it was for a touch up. When I tried to ask for clarification about the additional fee, Mariam simply brushed off my concerns and rushed me out, so she could see her next client. This reminded me of previous time when I paid with a credit card (before I knew it was preferable to pay with cash). Both times, she was very dismissive and aggressive, when I asked her a question that most people would inquire about. The fact that she is borderline rude and anxious during those times, concerns me about the honesty of her business. I don't mind paying a little bit more for quality service, but all I ask is to be informed instead of adding random charges, as a way to solicit more business. After this experience, I don't feel comfortable returning or recommending any friends and family to this place. read more

She took me back within 5 mins. Threaded in 5 mins. In and out real quick. She did a quality job and she said she loves what she does and it definately shows. I paid $12 for eyebrow threading and I advise you pay with cash since the card reader can be a bit wonky, I've heard.
