Who would've thunk? A great small cafe in a Chevron gas station. Definitely a hidden gem. There are a number of burritos and sandwiches to choose from. The burritos are about $5 and they are filled. Last time I came in they had stacks of crisp bacon just waiting to be ordered. I forgot the name but I ordered a burrito that contained sausage, crisp bacon, eggs, pepperjack and mushrooms. So filling and delicious. There is also a bunch of salsas on the counter that you can choose from. They even have small containers that you can fill with salsa too add on your food for later. I haven't tried any of their sandwiches yet as the burritos have been so satisfying. The employees taking the orders and cooking the food are nice and friendly. I really had high hopes for this place based on good reviews. I ordered a veggie burrito and it was very plain- no salt or any flavors. I also asked for no cheese and they made it WITH cheese. Needless to say I ended up throwing it away because I'm breastfeeding and my daughter is highly sensitive to dairy. But what really bother me the most is the lack of sanitation. The lady making the food didn't use any gloves and was touching uncooked meats, veggies and breads. I can understand that it's a very tight space to cook but I wish they took more care in preventing potential cross contamination with cooked/raw foods. While I was waiting for my burrito, I saw one of the ladies use a rag to clean the wall against the grill and then proceeded to use the same rag to clean the counter a skillet she used to cook food . Hopefully you read this before walking from Kaiser Hospital - Food is fine, presentation could be better, but keep in mind that your breakfast or lunch is being served in a GAS STATION. A basket would be nice to hold the Breakfast burrito (which should be served with a fork or have less cheese - the rest of the filling slid out of the beautifully grilled flour tortilla). There are a couple of tables inside or outside. I suspect that most folks are eating in their vehicles. The staff is always friendly and there are pre prepared burritos if you're in a hurry or you can wait to have one made fresh. The price is reasonable and totally worth it for how good they are! I love this place. I usually get the sunrise melt but any one of the breakfast burritos will do. Sunrise melt is like the burrito except they trade the tortilla in for two slices of Texas toast. Very yummy and greasy. It puts me to bed for a good 5-7 hours after a graveyard shift. Everything is big here so half a burritos will fill me up. I don't recall seeing anything over $5. It's a bargain here if you have someone to share a burrito with. I heard the sandwiches are just as big and delicious. I will probably try it the next time I'm in Roseville during lunch time. I come here at least once a week to get gas and breakfast. It was strange at first to get such good and freshly prepared food at a Chevron gas station but seriously give it a chance. This place is a diamond in the rough! I walked in to get gas at the Chevron and noticed there was a grill set up in the back. There was a long line but I decided to give it a try. It was AMAZING!! The best breakfast burrito I have ever had. I was full all day and I ate a small dinner because it was that hearty at around $5. If you are a hot sauce person like me, they have everything. Great hidden gem. Who knew that a gas station had amazing fresh breakfast burritos!! My son goes to school around the corner and I love to stop here after I drop him off. Their burritos are made to order and are quickly made. Tons of different options. They are huge and so filling. The burritos are great priced. Well that's because it was inside of Chevron! Like most people,I wasn't excited this place was in a gas station. I decided to read the reviews again before entering. All reviews gave this place a thumbs up... so we decided to try! We got the Dans burrito, which was really tasty. My only issue is the staff didn't use gloves....and one of the ladies had long acrylic nails, which I think is unsanitary while handling food. I thought it was an urban legend, but indeed this place exists. I had the Philly (scrambled eggs with grilled steak, grilled onions and pepper jack cheese) for $5.29; The Husband Who Can Fix Stuff had the Fire Starter and said it was actually too hot (rare for him) so he ate the other half of mine - even though I didn't recall giving him permission. A tad too greasy for me - when I reheated my half of the half (these are BIG burritos) you could really taste the grease (probably because of the grilled onions?) anyway -eat it while its fresh and hot. WoW! Cook to order breakfast or lunch. Normally I don't eat at places attached to gas stations and if you are the same get ready to make an exception. I love the sauce bar they have to top off your favorite unhealthy lunch. Many different hot sauces are available. I have had the chorizo breakfast burrito twice and it was awesomely delicious. I shouldn't be eating this type of food with an office job as this would work better for an active moving job like the car lot or grocery stores in Roseville. I have tried them all and seem to always gravitate back to the Dan's Wrap, which is Scrambled eggs with bacon, ham, sausage, potatoes, green onions, pepper Jack and cheddar cheese. The cost is average can range $5-6 depending on your choice. They have premade burritos to grab on the fly if you are in a rush, however you are subject to what is available at the time. Call in your order if you are doing anything special. They have a variety of hot sauce and salsa at the counter if you need a little spice. Bring your appetite, these burritos are not small little breakfast burritos. I usually order one and it usually has me eating it for breakfast and lunch. The Short Stuff Cafe located inside of the Auto Mall Chevron on the corner of Eureka Road and Rocky Ridge in Roseville, CA has hands down the Best Breakfast Burritos in the entire Sacramento area. My Favorite: Breakfast Wrap with sausage, bacon and pepper jack cheese (I call it the "Heart Attack Wrap"). Every breakfast needs BACON player! They have an amazing menu to choose from or they'll make you whatever you'd like. The lunch menu looks amazing too however I'm always so full from eating my infant baby sized breakfast burrito that I have no appetite at lunch time. I don't understand how anybody puts less than 5 stars. Every time I come here I tell myself that it is the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. I get the meat lovers, and sometimes I add a little potatoes. You gotta go with the Cholula sauce. Don't forget to throw on the jalapeños either! Ignore the lousy "bad" reviews. Anywhere you go, even here, somebody has to complain about something. I promise you, it's the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. (I've ordered them all across California) My advice, check the menu and call in the order if you don't want to wait. Don't be all butt hurt if you don't get the most amazing smiles and heartfelt welcomes in the world, because that is not what you should be there for. SO suggested this place after finding it here on Yelp. Pretty good for the price, and the burritos are pretty stuffed. It was $4 for a general breakfast burrito with cheese, meat and eggs. Plenty of different options to choose from, and some lunch only specials are available. From what I saw, the hours are generally 6AM-2PM, and closes earlier on Saturday (or the weekend in general if it's open on Sunday). You order at the station and pay at the counter. At first glance you might not trust the place but they serve some of the best breakfast croissants you will ever have. The bread is warm toasty and feels like a well cooked home meal. The burrito was not bad but I felt the croissants were definitely better. The other great thing is how early they open which is 6am.
