Grocery shopping isn't a one-stop type of thing for me. I have stores I prefer to get produce from,…read morestores I prefer to get household goods from, stores I prefer to get meat from, etc. Therefore, I don't have to count on Kroger to get it all done. But as far as supply chain and variety, this particular Kroger is about 3.5 out of 5. The produce section isn't as expansive as I prefer, but they have the necessities. I don't prefer meat from Kroger, but this location has reasonable options for both land and sea. The frozen food section is legit. I typically find everything I desire and different options to compliment it. Pizza, ice cream, frozen limeade concentrate... you know all the unhealthy stuff. The Kroger gas station is clutch. I rack up Kroger plus points and get 50¢ off sometimes. Now one that ticks me off about Kroger is the glitchy self checkout system. On my momma, it's thee worst in the industry. Sometimes I feel like Kroger's system causes a cashier or clerk twice the effort than just opening a lane to traditionally scan groceries.

We were able to utilize all of the items except for the salad if someone please check the salad area as especially due to all of the recalls to ensure the salad is fresh and not closed State would greatly appreciate it.

So I'll say this: this is one of the better markets you have on Buford Highway, even though it's…read moremaybe a little farther than some other ones. This one's clutch. This one is super dope and it's very clean and everybody's super cool and they'll help you without question behind the counter. If you're looking for some things around the world, this is definitely it. I went for some picanha because you can't get that from Kroger apparently and they had it for a reasonable price. Whatever else you need they can probably find or produce or cut up in the back for you and I love that. Now if you come you have free parking. It's a very big parking lot so keep that in mind. Depending on what time you go, that's going to have an impact on how close you can park because at certain times of the day it's really going to be packed . They have a myriad of different areas that you can shop in, including a section that has a bunch of knickknacks like rice cookers and such. Obviously they have a grocery section, which is predominantly the store, and then they have a butcher shop and seafood shop as part of the area. They even have a bakery area and a cheese area so you have a lot of different places you can go. Unlike some other ones they actually have a cafe-style type situation when you leave so if you are hungry you can go get some pancakes or some turkey wings or whatever lol . Given the diversity of what they have here, it's really clutch and the aesthetic is very pleasing and is well-lit. I would definitely suggest it because everything is very clean and all the produce looks fresh. You know that fresh produce is very important lol . I usually go to one that's a little further down but I will continue to go to this one because they got me right.

I have lived near Buford Highway Farmers Market for 28 years. I have visited at least two to three…read moretimes a week. BHFM pretty much had its "Glory Years" 10 or 15 years ago. It has slowly gone downhill since then. I have bought their quart container of squeezed pink grapefruit juice many times, it used to be very reasonable. For the past couple of months the price has risen to $13.99 a quart !!! Whole Foods has the same thing for $8.99. Other sources are no where near $13.99. That's price gouging. All the daily house hold products are also much higher than Target, Walmart, Kroger, Publix. I cannot believe people pay the prices. Unless they are on special, berry's and fruit's are more expensive than Publix or Kroger and they look like they are second or third tier quality. The same for the vegetables, some literally still have dirt on them and are definitely poor quality. I bought sushi the other day at the counter in the back, for the price it was great. I decided to buy extra Wasabi, there were three kinds on the counter. None had a price, not on the container, not on the shelf. I asked the person behind the counter what were the prices, they said they didn't know, I would have to carry the wasabi literally diagonally across the store and get a price. The person couldn't call and ask ?!?! How does an employee not notice these items are not priced !?!? I have always loved the cafeteria, their entrees are delicious. Now some of the trays have nothing in them and some have been sitting in the trays and have a skim on the top because they haven't even stirred them up obviously for hours. 40% off after 4;30pm, great deal, but half or more of the food is gone, by 5pm they have pretty much closed up. The Mex part is closed at 4:30pm. So sad, a great resource, just about ruined. They also used to have cooking classes, which were great. They haven't had a class in years. Today I go in and by 4 items, the lines are long, so I took it to the quick checkout near the entrance. A person in front of me had over 10 items, each bag was like 5 pounds of vegetables each. He was not an employee, be paid cash. I asked the cashier so the line is no longer 10 items or less? She shrugged her shoulders !!! There used to be 10 items or less registers, at least two. Both of those have been long gone. It looks like BHFM is adding self checkout, the registers are installed and have sat there 2 years !?!? Still not open. With skyrocketing grocery prices and the competition in the area BHFM management needs to wake up. The outside isn't looking its best either. I hate to write this, but come on BHFM !!! Yes, there are some good deals, especially specials, but they are no where near the quality / price of Whole Foods or Dekalb Farmers Market. The same for H MART, I want competitive pricing and quality products, as a local, the "novelty" effect means nothing to me.

Midtown Publix... if you are looking for really good fried chicken - here is the place to go. I'm…read morenot sure why tenders & wings aren't on the same level here but classic fried chicken is up there with chain restaurants. I just tried their sweet chili rotisserie chicken- it's a home run! Moist! Fabulous flavor! I only opened it to try it and ended up eating a dinner portion. Craving more. Subs always has a line and that says a lot too. As to basic shopping- I wish their produce section was larger but that's really looking for something to say negative. Butchered products cut there have a very short sales by date. Not because of poor quality but rather opposite. Most stores let meat about a week. Publix only allowed 2-3 days tops. Freshness matters. Some people say Publix is more expensive than that K store. However, if you learn to bogo and value quality over money- you will never be disappointed. I've priced the same weekly purchase on same day and came home spending the same but larger quantities from Publix. Only downside to this location is pharmacy. They simply seem to always be behind;however, other location within 2 miles is always quick, polite, & rarely a line.
