This is our second time working with Short Pump Painters. As per usual they did a great job, this time repainting our cabinets and touching up our stairs. Both Kleiton, the owner, and the painters were kind and professional. Highly recommend!

We recently used Short Pump painters for painting some exterior work on our home. We were very pleased with how quickly they were able to get to our job and the thorough attention to detail they took while painting. Will definitely recommend to others!

Dented fascia wrap which I know was done during the job.

I'm a general contractor and have worked with many, many contractors in the past. Don't be fooled by this company's professional online profile as I was. Maybe the positive online reviews were warranted at some point in the past but most certainly not now. The crew performing the work were alright overall but the management team Thiago and Carol are unprofessional, incompetent and dishonest. The professional veneer that they present with their website and initial communication-Is just that, a veneer. When I think about those "best of" badges they display in their branding I can't help but laugh now. Though the overall craftsmanship exhibited was decent, there were several missteps throughout the project. The largest one was painting the entire exterior of my home the wrong tone of white. They were given a sample to have a color match (computerized) performed on and they failed to do this. Instead I received an off the shelf white paint, with a slight blue undertone. Baffling how a professional painting company has no knowledge of the nuance of color- undertones, lighting, etc. Throughout the project I questioned the color and suspected they were using an off the shelf white. I asked Carol about this several times and was assured that a custom color match was done. I paid an additional $1500 for a third coat of paint because the color I sought had not been achieved after 2 coats. Ultimately I had to keep digging for them to finally admit that no computerized color match was performed. An off the shelf white was indeed used. Instead of taking accountability, they blamed Sherwin Williams. Deflection is really all they do. Well they weren't even supposed to be using Sherman Williams paint. The work proposal they submitted, stated that they would be using Benjamin Moore Moorgard for the project. I requested numerous times to speak with Thiago, the owner but was never able to. Later I found out that he moved back home to his native Brazil. He says he lives in an area where there is poor network connectivity- which makes him unavailable to speak with on the phone. Interesting given that all project decisions seem to go thru him. As a concession for the color debacle, Thiago agreed to paint my porch roof free of charge. He said they'd get it done on 10/28. I called and text them the day before to confirm that they were indeed coming --crickets. Thiago has told so many lies throughout this process it's unbelievable. This is a clown show. Save yourself the headaches, keep looking.

We recently hired Short Pump Painters to paint our interior and the deck & pergola. They did an awesome job! The crew is extremely careful, very detailed and professional. They arrived on time and actually finished the job early! We highly recommend their work.

Thiago and his team did an outstanding job painting cabinets in our new home. The kitchen is pretty detailed and I was nervous about painting the dark cabinets but it turned out better than I could have hoped for! The team worked hard all week and finished the project a little earlier than expected which was awesome! Can't recommend Thiago and his team at short pump painters enough!

I don't know about those other reviews, but Thiago and his guys at SPP did not disappoint. They were quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns and provided high quality professional advice and work on the exterior of the house. Despite all the rain we've been getting this year, Thiago and his crew made sure that they got the job done in a timely manner and getting it done right. They added another coat of stain to our deck because Thiago did not think it met their standards even though we thought it looked amazing already! He apologized for taking longer than expected because of the rain and by showing us, he painted our storm door, no extra charge! We will definitely be Short Pump Painters again for future projects and would highly recommend them to anyone else in need of freshening up their space/home! Let these pics speak for themselves.

Overspray paint on roof

These painters ruined my roof and broke my window! We hired Short Pump Painters to paint our entire exterior and they sprayed our new roof. They did not use a shield or tarp the roof off so now it looks awful and costs thousands to fix. They "offered" to fix it mentioning this happens all the time (which it shouldn't) and power washed it and it looks exactly the same. They also broke our window and now are refusing to fix it saying they didn't do it. Like I broke my own window for fun? The paint job was mediocre and they didn't patch many areas before painting. They also did not communicate their schedule or the process well at all. DO NOT HIRE this completely unprofessional company.

We work every day to make our home a little more "homey," but this was one project we just couldn't tackle on our own. We were so lucky to find Short Pump Painters to paint our shutters. They ordered the exact color we were looking for, and came out to do the work in a timely manner. I was expecting this to be a full-day project, but they were in and out, and at no cost of professionalism. They communicated well, were trustworthy and reliable, and did beautiful work. We are thrilled, and will absolutely hire them for future projects.

GREAT JOB!! Short Pump Painters are awesome! The guys were very friendly and conscientious. We will use again.

With no connections, we relied on several referrals, but unfortunately, Harrison Hardwood was not one that worked out. It's taken me 3 1/2 weeks to write this because I've struggled to find the right words to describe our experience. Not to mention I'm overwhelmed with what we were left with. We hired Harrison Hardwood (Nunu) to install wood in two rooms, buff the old polyurethane off our existing hardwood floors, and reapply 2 to 3 coats of fresh poly throughout house. On the day they were staining and applying the poly, I was told I'd be called to come check the progress. When I politely expressed my dissatisfaction with the results, Nunu, the owner, became upset and said he felt unappreciated. He then packed up his equipment and quit the job on the spot. He left the job completely unfinished--quarter round was not installed, threshold and transitions lol strips were missing, the floor colors do not match, and the finish is inconsistent from room to room. Even worse, there are areas with missing poly, 5-6 spots with 'fish eyes,' and dust residue was left on the floors, which has now been polyurethaned over. With our furniture arriving in just two days, we didn't have time to find another flooring company to fix and finish the job. We're now living among boxes, waiting for a new company to completely redo the floors. We'll also have to hire movers to help us shift furniture and boxes as we redo the house in stages. The photos I've uploaded show the so-called "finished" product. All I can say is, do your due diligence before hiring Harrison Hardwood. We definitely would not recommend. I will post another review on the new company doing the work in October with pictures of final result!

This is my second experience with FlooringRVA. I first had hardwood flooring installed by them…read more(see my review on Yelp) and back in January 2018 I picked out and had carpet installed. It's now June so I've had time to settle in with my carpet and wanted to provide a review of the experience. I read lots of reviews and research things to death before I make a decision so I don't give people a high rating just to be "nice". I also consider myself to be be a little hard to please because I'm used to doing a lot of work on my home myself and I have a high standard of quality while being thrifty. That being said, I shopped around a few quotes and came back to FlooringRVA. Long story short...I felt the price I paid for what I wanted was spot on. I had a good experience with the two man crew that came to install the carpet and padding. And 6 months later things are still meeting my expectations. Robert, the owner, was the real reason behind going with FlooringRVA a second time. He personally came to measure and offer suggestions. I preferred to text and Robert made himself available at all times throughout the day when I had questions. I didn't always expect an immediate response but one was always received. I could tell he and his staff were committed to my being satisfied throughout every step in the process and I couldn't find that level of customer focus with any other competitor. For those that want to see, I've attached a few pics of my carpet. Thx FlooringRVA!

That person used the wrong color ‍ They sent out a second person to fix that, and nothing was actually fixed.
