I don't know what the dressing was, but the cucumbers were my favorite part of everything!! We also got fries, which took a little bit to come out but were so crispy and delicious! The vibe here was so welcoming and laid back, great sandwich/salad stop!

Some of the booths need to be reupholstered, the menus are starting to come apart, the waiter we had, could barely get the orders straight and to the table in a timely manner. It was if we were in a Gordon Ramsay Kitchen Nightmares episode and didn't know it. Pastrami could've been used as roof shingles, it was that hard. My order was supposed to come with potato salad and he brought macaroni. Duh. My friend ordered the pastrami with lettuce and tomato on the side. They put hot pastrami on top of a cooked tomato and no lettuce. Double Duh! Another friend of mine had the sliders. Yeah, they could slide just like a hockey puck can slide. They were just as hard and tough as a hockey puck. The Cole slaw looks like someone put it through a mixmaster. It had the consistency of sawdust; you couldn't make out the coleslaw from anything else that was in it. It looks like they're riding on their long existence and the Guy Fieri visit from DDD to bring in the diners. Come to think of it, it was odd that it was the dinner hour, and the place was practically empty. Doubt we'll be back.

Also, we never got any water, even though we asked for it. Honestly, with so many good restaurants in Hudson Valley, I probably would not go back to this one.

A good diner knows how to make a great breakfast. They miss the mark. All we wanted were scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. Eggs (for all 5 of us) came out looking like a solid block of eggs, like a thick omelette. Best guess they scrambled them and put them in the microwave. Then the bacon. Each strip was about 2 inches long and shriveled which tells me they are using the cheapest bacon money can buy. Not bacon strips but bacon chips is more like it. Lastly...does your toaster work? Our toast was warm at best but not the least bit toasted. And thanks for the one container of butter and one container of jelly per person. It seems they are trying to put speed over quality. Take the time to constantly stir your eggs to present them as fluffy scrambled eggs. Buy a better quality bacon. Let your toast actually toast. Yes these things take more time and effort but the breakfast you are serving is truck stop quality. And what's with the name? Do you folks think you are in New Jersey? read more

He was quite alert, and I believe made an effort to make sure that he communicated my allergy to the kitchen. It did not take long for our order to come out and it was stunning and massive. See the photograph. Unfortunately, my sister noted almost immediately that there was onion on the plate. How disappointing because it looked so good. We flagged down Matt to let him know. He was very apologetic and swept the plate away back to the kitchen returning a few minutes later to let me know that the hashbrowns were not an option. We replace those with french fries. Overall, the plate was returned about 10 minutes later and looked free of onions. The eggs were cooked the way we asked, and the french fries were crispy, although they appear to have been tossed in cornstarch or flour to make them crispy - that's a coating which I'm not fond of. All in all, the eggs were delicious and the portion size could have fed three people. We ordered a couple of desserts to take away. Grand total was about $50. Yikes. Add the tip and you're up to $65 for breakfast. I recognized that this was a fancier breakfast and not eggs over very easy, etc. but $50 for two breakfast and two desserts two beverages. That's a lot. Even at the price of groceries these days, $65 still goes a long way in the breakfast category. The ambience is classic diner and very clean the service was quite attentive, friendly, and professional although we did have to flag Matt down a couple of times. I don't think he was distracted, I think it was more his workflow. The loss of the star is because I was served something I was allergic to. That's not really excusable, but they did apologize. I am convinced that he advised the kitchen of my allergy but before finalizing my order, a trip to the kitchen to verify about whether onions or garlic was in any of the food would have been appreciated
