Seems like a huge missed opportunity to have the only diner around but everything is made pretty poorly. The gals who serve are great Smiles and good vibes are around for sure, but the food...... I can't say I've ever had anything from this diner that was good. It all seems extremely cheap, unflavorful and definitely uninspired. Huge bus loads of seniors pop in from time to time and this looks like a majority of the business they do here. Otherwise it's a ghost town that hurting. I've questioned why I come back enough to finally write this review. My friend just asked "is it good?" In which I said no....and he asked "why do you go there?" Went on a Saturday at lunchtime and no one in the place. That should have been our first clue. Not enough vanilla flavoring in the milkshake, chicken noodle soup had NO chicken, and they charged me to refill my soda. Plus it was pricey. never going back. read more

A disappointing experience. Our toast orders mixed up, and the wheat toast was too burnt to eat. The boiled egg we ordered was served nearly raw, and the over medium eggs were over easy. On the upside, the coffee was good and the server was pleasant. But the kitchen needs to work on basic diner skills! read more

I usually only write positive reviews. I have been here a few times I had a good burger, a good greek salad and some other items. I was here this week and had a horrible breakfast. The home fries were cold, my omelet was burnt. There was so much salt in my omelet, it looked like the salt came off of the salt shaker and salt was poured on it. I showed it to the waitress and she took 25% off my bill. I'm absolutely certain that it would have been much better for them to credit my meal 100%. I will not be going back. read more

The photos on yelp are misleading. The images of the location are concept design art, not the realistic location interiors. It does look updated, but not upscale like the computer generated images. When we went there was only one server/host/food runner.. which means he was way over worked and that everything would take longer. Not any different than when it was happy days. My burger bun was hard and stale. The side "salad" was iceberg lettuce, tomato slice like the should be on a sandwich, and yellow onion. Homefires are mushy. Definitely nothing fancy or fresh about this place. read more

So my wife and I have been pretty regular patrons of this place, from back in the day it was under different ownership. We have been really pleased with all the new upgrades and improvements and the food quality has been steadily excellent, until today (8/24/21). We arrived at 4 p.m. and took a table outside. As per the sign on the door, we stepped in the let staff know we were there. Inside of restaurant had only one table occupied. Waitress came out to get our drink orders (coffee and water) and we asked for a few minutes to decide. 4:15 she came back to take the order, and right about then the couple from inside stepped out to leave. At 4:45, I finally went back in to see what the delay was, waitress was sitting at a booth, cell phone in hand, and not a single other person was inside. I said hello to get her attention, and she looked rather bored as she asked if I needed anything. I replied "did our order get forgotten?" to which she only said "no, it'll be there in a few minutes." and went right back to the phone. We didn't order anything spectacular, just an omelette and a veggie wrap. Our food arrived 5 minutes later, she plunked our plates down without a word, and I then had to ask for silverware and napkins which she also dropped on the table as if we were a total inconvenience. By that point we each had empty coffee cups and empty water glasses, she never bothered to even ask if we wanted a refill. Our check arrived 15 minutes after we were served, again she couldn't be bothered to speak to us at all. We paid, and for the first time in my life I didn't tip. I was too angry to even bother looking for a manager or supervisor in the moment. We were literally the ONLY customers in the place. The ONLY positive was the food quality was fine, but we won't be back. I am aware they are advertising for staff, and honestly they need to screen their candidates better because this young lady obviously hates her job and should move on to something that requires no customer interaction. She wasn't wearing a name tag that I could see, but she was blonde, wears glasses, tall-ish and lean build. I'll be copying this review and sending it directly to the owner, too. read more

New favorite restaurant. I got a grilled salmon there and it was so yummy. Their vanilla milkshakes are the best i have ever had. it is very clean and they have the best service. The bathrooms are super super clean. they are spotless. everyone there is very friendly. read more

We stopped on the way back to the city from Montreal and we were very satisfied. It was the perfect location off of the Taconic. It had a huge menu (which made choosing difficult), but each item we ordered was delicious. The waitstaff was very accommodating. I hadn't been in the plaza for years. So, a new place I was curious to try. The decor is nice, and very clean.The side salad is less than desirable, iceberg lettuce sent through the slicer and not chopped, same with the tomatoes- meant for a sandwhich.....The chicken noodle soup was ok. My 6 year old would not eat the over cooked steak, but loved her eggs. The stuffed shells were fine. The best thing about our visit- the waitress. Miss M was very helpful, for my 6 year old has Type 1 Diabetes, and she was awesome in helping to accommodate her needs. Super kind, a super asset to this restaurant for sure! My wife and I stopped in this restaurant to check it out since it was under new management. Whenever we try a new restaurant we look to see if it meets our "first time restaurant visit check list." I like to call it our three "P's" check list. #1 - "Palette" - does the food taste good? #2 - "Price" - is the price reasonable and #3 "Portion" - do they offer a good portion. We must confess that they did well in all three areas. The food was good, the price was reasonable, and the portion was great (in fact, was large). Also the overall appearance and seating was fine. Terrible experience. 15 minutes to order food. Had to ask multiple times for my kids Apple juice. Food took a long time to come out and the food was so hot we had to wait another 15 minutes to cool down. Definitely a poor experience. Had to get mY waiters attention if I wanted anything. There should be a new rule when reviewing restaurants; you should be able to give them less than one star. Mostly everything about this place is misleading, from the pictures on the website to the actual reviews themselves. The pictures on the site are not what the actual restaurant looks like - almost comical to be honest - the last review by Mo Z. - well, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to anyone to find out that Mo. is actually the wait staff on the weekends and is related to the owner - as is all of their two wait staff. In addition, the website says that their open until 9 - that is laughable at best - first of all they're open until 8, most nights - tonight for example, I stopped by at about 6:50 P.M. and they were already closed - i specifically went to this restaurant because I checked their website and it said they were open!! Don't bother going there on the weekends because when you do finally get your food it will most likely be cold - because they seem to be busiest on the weekends and only have two wait staff - both relatives - working. The owner of the restaurant frequently has to wait tables and run orders into the back because he has no help, which is fine, but he isn't always wearing a mask - don't know how the department of health hasn't done something about this place to be honest. They seem to clean once a week at best - I go in and sit in the corner and as a I walk to my booth I see the same piece of toast, dirty napkin, random crumbs, that i've seen for three days. The salt and pepper shaker on the table, along with the sugar container (when its actually there) are almost always sticky and not cleaned. My family won't return with me to this restaurant, so instead I go alone. It really is a shame, and people might be upset by this post, but its generally the truth that bothers people isn't it. They simply are not clean, they don't follow most covid regulations, which means sooner or later they will be closed down and I will have to find some other place to get my omelet. read more
