It's alway nice to stop by and enjoy a walk along the boardwalk. Early afternoon on a Wednesday which was still pretty mellow. There was a good amount of people walking around but not like the crowds during the weekend. You have people walking around with their pets and others just enjoying the sunshine. Some of the stores weren't open when we arrived. They still have the arcade and carousel area that was open. Walking along the boardwalk and looking out to the waterfront and marina was very nostalgic. It used to be the usual weekend outing when I lived here. Catching up with friends, walking along the bike path and enjoying the waterfront. There's still a few of the old school restaurants that's been there for years. Tequila Jacks, Yard house and of course Parker's Lighthouse. Later on around 3pm the boardwalk did start to pick up as happy hours were happening. The good thing about this area, it's literally a couple minutes walk from the convention center so it's good for people when they're in town for some kind of convention. The crowds tends to be pretty mellow. Students, families and out of towners. A nice waterfront boardwalk with some cute shops and restaurants. There was a live bands performing in the middle which was nice to watch them playing some fun tunes. It's not extremely big but big enough to spend some time there. Shoreline Village on the Shoreline is one of a kind. Great views, great shopping, places to eat, stroll and take in the day or night time. A super hub and must in the city of Long Beach. Awesome events like the Shoreline Summer Concert Series that kick off around Memorial Day weekend and go strong until Labor Day weekend. With a solid variety throughout the season. Pirate's Cove, Istanbul Home, Saga clothing and a plethora of shops are worth exploring with cool gifts, souvenirs and fashions in stock. Wheel Fun Rentals has you covered on just about every kind of man-powered device in two to four wheel form, including tandem bicycles. Eat at Yard House, Shenanigan's (Irish Pub), Parkers' Lighthouse and Gilan's Pizza to name a few. Grab a treat at Funnel House, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Exotic Jerky (where they do care some vegan jerky varieties ). Parking is pretty easy though not complimentary. It's about $2 for two hours and a max of $16 for the day. You can get up to $10 off with validation from various Shoreline Village businesses. read more

This place is super touristy. There are lots of restaurants and little touristy gift shops. I will admit, though, that some of these restaurants look pretty dang good. I've definitely put them on my list. There is an arcade with a merry-go-round and a funnel cake place. We can walk on the promenade behind it and see all the boats in the slips. I recommend for shopping, dining, bars I do NOT recommend the beach. Traveler from Chicago and this is my third time in California and the third beach (Santa Monica pier, Manhattan beach) I've been to. It was DISGUSTING, with a capital D. The outdoor outlet itself is great, major shops (pike outlets) and brands, Ferris wheel, carousel, food trucks and aquarium. I heard there was an arcade near yard house I got lost and couldn't find it. The shoreline and actual beach looked like something back in Chicago rainbow beach if you know what I mean. Maybe Long Beach is not the best area I don't know. Pros - -scooter and bike rentals -very nice restaurant along the shore -prime views of those large ships -volleyball net and maybe that's common or typical -free parking Cons - -beach was absolutely trashed, I mean it's like people just came and left garbage and were extremely careless it was so sad. Theres lots to see and even if it's cliche, it's rather something delightful getting ice cream while walking on the beach. You can always finish up with a nice meal. My mom, one of my dogs and I headed to Long Beach for the day as I read online that it's very dog-friendly. Aside from dog parks and Rosie's dog beach, I wanted to bring Cali here. We actually started off at Belmont Shore, but that wasn't what I expected... I was hoping to visit an area like Seaport Village in SD. Eh, this place is "just okay"... there's restaurants, a few shops, lots of desserts, and various docks to take harbor cruises from (I want to do that when I don't have my dog with me!). The highlight for me was Funnel House, which specializes in freshly made funnel cakes and churros. Literally the best, made-to-order churro I've ever had (as it should have been at 7$!). The bike trail is lovely, and Long Beach encourages exercise. I really appreciate that. Overall, I would come back to this area, but Seaport is MUCH better than this place. I could have sworn I wrote a review for this place, but... ... well. Better late than never, I suppose! A brief history: sometime in the last couple of years, I woke up and decided to take the pup for a day out. I wanted to bring him somewhere new, so I did a bit of research and this popped out on the line of dog friendly places. So the pup and I got on the ride and made the drive. We were both happy on that trip, but didn't' really get a full experience since we were there way too early in the morning. I vowed to come back. Fast forward to now, Hubbers wanted a family day out, so we dragged our fur baby, my Mom, my aunt and her pup to finally explore more. We had lunch at the Yardhouse (they are dog friendly) and what better place to walk off what we ate than here. We all loved this place: tons of other eateries, shops, even an arcade for small and big kids alike. There's even a bike rental if you choose to explore the outer parts of the village. The view of the Queen Mary is just a bonus. And if you feel like being romantic with your better half, you can commemorate your relationship with a love lock! The one shop I would like to warn others of is called Lunara. My mom and her sister went in as they were interested in some of their pieces. Hubbers, the pups and I waited for them outside, and it wasn't long until I realized they disappeared. Long story short, the staff there were under the impression they could pull a fast one on them sisters, so they "signaled" each other (my Mom witnessed this) of their trickery. They were taken somewhere else to show other merchandise (that's how they went off my line of sight.) Mom pulled her sister outta there as quickly as possible. My aunt, feeling bad for not making a bigger purchase (because of the "attention" given her) bought a pair of earrings for my Mom just to say they at least got something. Them earrings were certainly not worth the price. Otherwise, it was a great run! We all had a great time enjoying the place overall. There will certainly be future visits! read more

Shore line village is full of selection of the great restaurants with great service! The value wise you are in Long beach and close by water so you have view and its not going to be cheap but its not too different from the other places. For example, they have yard house and the prices are kind of the same with the other location in the other cities so the only difference will be the tax that you pay! I love sitting there and watch the boats and enjoy the view while i sip my margarita! Also, i love the hyatt hotel close by! If you are coming around and you want spend two days around shore village and party, dont drink and drive! Shoreline village is about what you need for a small get away! I took our family lunch out from Louisiana Charlie's and got a family pack Spicy Cajun Pasta with Grilled chicken to go. Parking all afternoon came down to be only $10 with validation. It was quite reasonable. I'll return here for the 'Pirates' Cove,' store next time. Such a calm and beautiful place to shop. I'll be back soon. Shoreline to me was a beautiful family oriented jewel. Unfortunately all that has changed last Sunday 1/11/26 my 7 yr old has her purse and things taken from her. I immediately sought help first from the store it happened in and shoreline security they were HORRIBLE. They acted as if they wanted to help but that was just to get me to leave them alone. I asked for footage that night they said they didn't see anything so I left my number nothing. The next day the manager of another store went in the office and sent me the footage security said didn't exist. From there I filed all the necessary paperwork police report etc.... I was told to also try to get the footage from parking to perhaps match the license plate to retrieve my daughters things. Security was supposed to contact parking and get that but they wouldn't respond, nor can I find out who they are contracted from or the head of security is. An angel that works at shoreline name Lauren had to bypass security and send the original footage and request to parking herself. And I still don't have any additional footage or results. Bottomline you and your belonging are not safe at shoreline village. People are stealing from children. Security does not care they won't try to help you. Be alert!!!!! read more

If you're looking for a morning walk with beautiful views, I highly recommend this spot. The shops are mildly interesting, a bit touristy, but fun to browse. If you park in the adjacent lot, you can get validated at the shops with any purchase. I suggest continuing your walk through shoreline village and take the path that leads you along the water, with views of the Queen Mary and a cruise ship that may be docked. Once you make your way back, take a look at the map below and take the path that can be found to the rear of the restaurants. You'll see PF Changs, Outback Steakhouse, Tokyo Waco, and a few more. You'll walk by the Aquarium and continue to the lighthouse. Harbor cruises also start along this path. Metered parking is also available and allows you to access either directions you want to walk. I suggest going early on a weekend to avoid the crowds. read more

We visited this place several times already but did not do any review so just want to let everyone know the place is awesome. Has a lot of restaurants, boat landing as well as a place where you can ride a boat sail and do some whale watching or a cruise around the harbor. Great place to run for a jog or walk your furry friend around. Place is right beside Aquarium of the Pacific. They have a boat transit that can ferry you over to the Queen Mary and back. There are several boat rentals to choose from. One thing we saw was as a service for your dear departed love one where in you can scatter their ashes over the boat into the sea. However when you park on Shoreline drive using the parking meter the place is littered with human feces that somehow doesn't get cleaned up that's why for my three star rating read more

They sold products such as accessories and souvenirs. The store that caught my eye the most was Raindance, which sold handcrafted Native American art. The employees there made friendly conversation and kept their store clean and tidy. Current restaurants include Parkers' Lighthouse, Gilan Pizza, Louisiana Charlie's, Shenanigan's Irish Pub, Tequila Jack's, and Yardhouse. I ate a dinner at Tequila Jack's, and I felt happy with the employees' food and service. Several other businesses sell snacks, such as funnel cakes, ice cream, candy, and chocolate. We walked across the marina to Lions Lighthouse and that was quite the excursion! Be sure to wear comfortable footwear! You could totally spend an entire day here and boredom would be the last thing on your mind. The parking lot is very packed, and so tedious to get in and out during busy weekends, especially when you encountered some rude people. We were there pretty early and no other events were taking place in the vicinity, So parking was a breeze for us . The parking kiosk is located at every section of the parking lot , just remember your parking space number before you pay . Scooters are sporadically left in the parking lot area , seems like majority of the ones that is left are out of batteries. I honestly wouldn't waste your time trying to scan / rent scooters along the parking lot , no battery life , the people just left it there when they were done. To rent scooters I would walk towards the pier where all the boats are docking , and walk to the Parker's light house restaurant or you will see the light house in that direction. Different companies of scooter rentals lined their fully charged scooters here along the sidewalk. If scooters are not your thing, rent from "wheel fun rental " they rent surrey seats anywhere from 2 to 11 people price is for the hour $28-$53 dollars . They have electric bikes , wheelchair $8 , strollers $8 etc. ( see my picture for different rental equipment available and pricing) Don't fret if your like me , who doesn't care to exhaust your energy to peddle the surrey . I prefer walking along the pier , sitting down on the cement bench every now and then and people watch and gaze ahead to wonder what life was like on the Queen Mary . This is a great place to hang out with family and friends. Your out of town guest will enjoy this village. There are a lot of novelty shops and restaurants. The merry-go-round has been at this location for decades and still a fan favorite. You can take one of the water excursions. These water excursions are about two to three hours. The Long Beach aquarium is a short walk away. You will need to pay for parking but you can get your parking validated. Credit cards are the only method of paying for the parking lot. If you wish, you can also have your vehicle valet. read more

We came here during the Zombie Walk. It was a very hot day and WOW you could feel it IN the arcade. Place was so hot. I had a great time checking out all the restaurants and walking to the convention center nearby. There was so much garbage in the water. I mean yeah, there are plenty of boats so I want to look out, but when you look out it's like eww wtf why is there so much garbage here? This was a very busy day for the area and the bathrooms represented that they did not have enough focus on there; gross smells, no stalls because a mess had been made so it was just closed. AGAIN, we went on a very busy day. Parking took a while; I timed it and it was only about 15 minutes but it does get pretty crazy with limited space. We even saw some racism go down because some woman was saving a spot by standing there but yeah they can't do that and some people argued and that's when racism was seen. Plus everytime I come it seems as validation isn't enough time and will be always charged for parking. Location - In the heart of Downtown Long Beach along the harbor.
