We made a pit stop to get our caffeine fix at Starbucks. The service at the coffee house was great. We took a walk afterwards but in the back area where there is a narrow walkway with a water view. Some of the restaurants have tables and chairs available with a nice view of the water and boats that are anchored. read more

A few stores changes throughout the year. I miss Bestbuy which is now Studio fitness gym place. I miss Jamba Juice which is now Chipotles. But I'm happy Gong cha is added to the center. Barnes and Nobles is still around plus other original stores and restaurants. Great walking area to explore upstair and downstair. read more

A fast fan or the Marina Pacifica Shopping Center... From the AMC to Barnes and Nobles to the abundant parking in their multi-sectioned parking lot to their food/dining comforts and familiar national brands. My phone definitely wants me to check out Juicaterium next time and have a smoothie and acai good time as well as Kamal Palace Indian Cuisine and of course Acapulco for a nice happy hour and more.... That outdoor patio was screaming for me to come have a margarita... So I'll do that next time lol. MPSC is very scenic, very outdoor mall like with places like Nordstrom Rack, Ulta Beauty, Howards (appliances), Buffalo Wild Wings, Chipotle and of course a Starbucks, but probably the third of what you'd expect compared to an actual mall like a Westfield, South Bay Pavilion (a childhood favorite), The Grove, Americana + Glendale Galleria, and various others. While I will say the Pacifica is not the most persons with disability friendly shopping center with so many levels, staircases and constant issues with elevators (definitely plan accordingly) they do have a lot of handicap spaces, do keep this place extremely clean, safe and well managed. You can also do some shopping at the Ralph's which isn't half bad to be honest... but does get crowded on weekends, especially Long Beach Pride weekend.... There's good + plenty of parking at every end with plenty to enjoy. read more

Elevator near the AMC theater has been out FOR WEEKS! Anyone with a walker or wheelchair is SOL. Told the AMC staff who stated it wasn't their responsibility. If you pre-purchase tickets, just assume you won't be able to come downstairs via the elevator. Any attorneys looking for a guarantee win with the disabled persons act could get an automatic. This area seems to bill itself as a an adjunct to the condominium complex homes called Marina Pacifica. Rather, it seems a loose definition of a strip mall gone large. A shopping district surrounded by a parking lot. A collection of buildings for convenience. Using this area mainly for the now defunct Best Buy and also the better sized Ralphs, it never occured to me that this is a Mall. Handy for B&N, Ulta, Rack restaurants and movie theaters. Perhaps Gelsons and Lucilles are not considered part of this aggregate of commerce, but to me, they could well be considered to be. In a city, cars appear from elsewhere attracted for a myriad of reasons. But an entire population will travel about via various forms of public transportation. Hoards of people go from here to there without any form of sitting in privacy. unless you consider a taxi, or uberugg as such. I am admiring of Long Beach public transportation. The accessibility of Marina Pacifica is attainable from many points, it functions very well. Given the massive building up of the immediate area, who knows what transformations are in store. read more

Marina Pacifica Shopping Center - Looking out from OMG - Shopping Centers Near Me - Long Beach, California

Getting in and out of this parking lot is not always the best, but it's a decent little shopping center. With anchors including AMC, Best BUY, Ralphs grocer, and Acapulco, I find myself coming here often enough. If dining at one of numerous restaurants here (Kamal Palace, Acapulco, Tantalum, etc), the best part of the experience is the view. THis center backs up to the marina, so you could even ride a boat to get here. Parking tip: If you don't mind walking, the area near Ralphs usually has the most spots. Cheap happy hour tip: For the price, you can't beat a $3-$4 margarita on the patio at Acapulco (water front view!). read more

I love this tiny Mall! It has every thing you need. Free Parking, even if you have to walk a bit, it is worth it. Also you can park over by Pier 1 and get to the AMC theater with little effort. Lot's of good stuff here. This is my number one place to go to see a movie (AMC) and my number one place to buy a DVD (Tower Records) locally. In between these two placess there is a book store, which occasionally comes in handy. On the other side of Tower, Comp USA is there so you can look at big TV's and computers. Further down the sidewalk, I go to Ralphs to deposit checks at the Wells Fargo within and buy groceries occasionally. On the other side of AMC there is an Indian restaurant and Pacific Coast Grill, which is sometimes good. Also within walking distance is a Hof's Hut and Alberson's. So far, so good. There's lot's of stuff in this area. But there's more. Across the street there is the Market Place shops, including Trader Joes, a UA theater (which plays what AMC doesn't), and Claim Jumper. All in all, this is a very fertile area for your shopping, entertainment, and eating needs. I rank it in the top five areas of Long Beach. read more

I'd give this shopping center a 4 star easy, but their parking lot is just plain scary! People zipping around so fast. Anytime I have been here I have just been hoping to get out without getting in an accident. I like all the shopping offered here and it is in a nice area. I really loved coming to Marina Pacifica for my shopping needs because there are a lot of great stores here, like Ralphs, Loehman's, Acapulco, Best Buy, Walgreens, AMC Theaters (make sure you stop by the little candy shop near the theater because there are a lot of really tasty candy--gummy, chocolaty, chewy, crunchy, sweet, sour, you name it-- in there for you to sneak in your bag when watching a movie) and Barnes & Noble (w/ a Starbucks inside). There is always plenty of parking and other eateries in case you are looking for a place to eat for dinner or grab a quite lunch. If you ever get a chance to just walk around and look out at the marina, you will see a sea of parked boats and most apartments... but despite that, the scenery is still very nice. The place itself is very nice. The grass and trees here are well maintained and everything here is pretty clean. A great place to do your errands, grab a bite to eat or just enjoy an evening at the movies (seriously, check out the candy store). read more

Nope. I am not a fan of this place at all, just because of the parking and the layout. I needed to pick up some things so I stopped by Sports Authority in the corner of the mall. I'm not sure if the layout elsewhere is better, but this side is terrible. There's an AMC on the ground floor, a Sports Authority on the top floor, and the layout has you taking stairs up and down and up again or narrow walkways that are flanked by great views of the theater's roof, just to get anywhere. It's ugly as sin and did not feel like an upscale place at all. Again, I'm sure the rest of the mall is better, but I was not impressed with the layout one bit. The worst part is easily the parking. If you have a van, SUV, station wagon, or anything bigger than an average low-end sedan, you're going to have a hell of a time parking. The spots have terrible, terrible, terrible angles that make it impossible to park without taking multiple tries or backing up multiple times just to fit. The spots are narrow so you're in the verge of hitting the cars on either side of you no matter how you park. The spots are also shallow so longer cars will stick out (and like I said, "longer" applies to anything bigger than, say, a Honda Civic). This becomes a bigger problem when you realize the aisles are narrow too, so 80% of the vehicles are sticking out. The end result is parking is all but impossible. You will circle the lot for eternity while you look for a spot that is open, that is wide enough for your car to fit (thanks other drivers who can't park in between the lines if their lives depended on it), and that doesn't have a long car anywhere even remotely near it. Full disclosure, I have a station wagon. Yes, it's long. No, I've never had this problem in any other parking lot. I made attempts at 3 different parking spaces before I found one I could actually park in and when I finally left the mall, I had to make an 11-point turn to get out of the spot because a long car behind me meant that even if I backed up as far as I possibly could, I still had less than a foot of space in front of me to actually turn down the aisle. I'd rather navigate street parking in Chicago or New York than park here again. Pity, too, because the rest of the mall looks good and has cool stores, even if I'm not a fan of the layout. read more

Do not park in this lot! My brand new 2016 car was vandalized and i have to pay $1200 out of my own pocket to have the damages repaired. After coming out a movie over the weekend I came back to beer bottles sitting on my hood, under my tires, and a deep key strokes all along my vehicle. There was no call for this. There is only one security camera on the backside of the amc theater and my car was parked too far out of its viewing. Even though there were three security guards on duty not one of them saw anything. They came out of their little cubby and were clearly not at all concerned about me or my vehicle. I have great insurance, but a high deductible so the repairs are coming straight out of my pocket. I have left messages requesting that the property management team help cover some of my expenses, but no one has returned any of my calls. There are lots of cool restaurants and shops at the Marina Pacifica, but I advise everyone and anyone who is considering parking their vehicles there - not to. Trust me!!! read more

Just wanted to update the list of stores in this shopping center, since a lot has changed since Mike T and Holly T wrote reviews. Tower Records was replaced by Walgreens, CompUSA was replaced by Best Buy and Pacific Coast Grill was replaced by Arbor's Restaurant. Loehmann's is the only clothing store in the entire center (so don't come here thinking it's a "mall"). There is also a Chicken Dijon (where 31 Flavors used to be), Topline Nails, Sports Authority, Hawkes & Smythe (high-end furniture store), Bikram Yoga, Go Wireless (old Verizon store), Pawsitively for Dogs (cart), Bon Bon (candy store) and H&R Block. Kamal Palace and Tantalum are my favorite restaurants there. But I recommend eating off the menu at Kamal and not the buffet. Although, many people enjoy the buffet; I love the stuff on the menu. Ralphs is currently updating their store to a Fresh Fare. Many people enjoy getting a Starbucks or Jamba Juice drink and walking/sitting along the water. It's a pretty nice place to shop. read more
