Me and my wife were really looking forward to this snorkeling tour, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. While we didn't see much inside water, that's understandable as it not under control. However The guide didn't seem particularly interested in ensuring everyone had a good experience. To make matters worse, we paid $100 for the photo package, expecting high-quality memories of our adventure. Unfortunately, the photos were terrible--blurry, poorly framed, and far from what you'd expect for the price. It felt like a complete waste of money. I wouldn't recommend the especially given how much they charge. There are better options for snorkeling in Maui--save your money and look elsewhere. read more

We had the very best experience on the private non-swimmer snorkel with our wonderful guide Laura. She took the time to give us tips, and showed us how to breathe properly while underwater. She stayed with us the entire time, always looking out if we popped our heads up out of the water and checked in on us promptly. My husband and I were both anxious swimmers, and felt such relief and excitement by the end. Laura took us out over the gorgeous Maui reef to view the glorious fish, and sought out to find us an enormous sea turtle to view! This was a real highlight for us. I cannot say enough good things about Laura and the compassion and patience she had with us. This was the highlight of our Maui trip! Our guide Joey completely put us at ease and despite being terrified first time snorkelers and non-swimmers, we were venturing out from the shores of Kapalua bay and into the ocean in no time. A must do for even non swimmers! Since we were both terrified of the ocean, Joey started us out in full gear - wet suits, fins, snorkels, pool noodles and other floatation devices. My partner who had never floated in his life and thought will just stay on the beach and watch was swimming and having fun in the ocean in the first 10 minutes itself. This was a huge achievement for him! By the end, Joey had me swimming freestyle on my own without the aid of even a pool noodle. He taught me how to kick to move faster and how to use my arms to turn and so much more. We felt like we got a free swimming lesson! It was amazing finding a whole other world of sea turtles, urchins, coral reefs and shoals of fish underneath. Joey was so kind and encouraging - he not only made the entire 1 on 1 tour fun but also educational. We learnt a lot about the hunting, eating and sleeping patterns of the various sea life which made it all even more fascinating! Sadly I only have crappy pictures to show for it. I highly recommend going with this company! We looked at doing a group snorkel which ranged from 4-6 hours long with a huge group. But my BF decided to call this place instead. I'm glad he did! We had a wonderful experience with Westin our guide on our private snorkeling tour for an hour. It was much better and felt more intimate rather than going on a huge boat tour. Westin picked us from our hotel and drove us to the beach. He was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us a few choices on location depending on what we wanted to see and how experienced we were. He took us to a great location. Once there he walked us down to the shore to check out the water to see if this is where we wanted to snorkel. Then we went back to the van to get fitted with our gear. He explained how the masks should fit and how to adjust it in the water when it gets loose. I'm not the best swimmer so he provided me with a fun noodle to stay afloat and he will carry for you if you decide you don't need it anymore in the water. He also has a waterproof camera, and he was able to capture some amazing shots. He dove down to take up close photos of the sea life and he captured great photos of my bf and I. He air dropped the photos onto our phone as soon as the tour was over. We didn't have to wait to get our photos. It was the best experience! I highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to go snorkeling in Maui. Westin was an excellent guide with tons of knowledge and experience. He's a certified scuba instructor and gave us great information. I would use this company again when we come back to Maui! read more

We did private snorkel tour with this company during Thanksgiving for our family.. We have such fond memories from this trip. My son (7 year old) was able to snorkel with confidence at baby beach. This is one of the best Snorkeling trip I had in my three trips to Hawaii. Weston knows his stuff really well and very friendly in setting up the entire session. He knows some of the beet local places where I saw at-least 6 different turtles in span of one hour. Considering I don't know swimming well, he made is very easy for me so that I focus on viewing the coral, fishes and turtles. I highly recommend this tour !! My husband found Shoreline Snorkel on TripAdvisor and we decided to book the Guided Beach Snorkel Tour with Shoreline and it was completely worth it. We went on our Anniversary in May, and Spike was an incredible guide. Spike made sure that we had well fitted masks, and gave us some training for before we went into the water. He also made sure we were comfortable and eased all of our concerns before we even got into the water. He texted me, beforehand, to ask about our comfort levels with swimming and if we'd been snorkeling before, so he had an idea about our levels ahead of time. We saw SO many turtles, and Spike got some incredible photos with his underwater camera of everything that we saw. Overall, if in Maui, I wouldn't hesitate to book Shoreline Snorkel again, and have already suggested it to family and friends who we've been pushing to visit Hawaii! read more

I booked a guided beach tour for two about a month ago. I arranged it so my husband and I would be picked up from our hotel. The night before our snorkel, we got an email confirmation. The next morning we waited in the lobby of our hotel. We waited for 15 minutes but no one showed up. I attempted calling the phone number but it was not in service. I started panicking and emailed the company sharing what was going on. I was hoping maybe their phone could still receive email. After hearing nothing, my husband made the executive decision to drive to the beach, hoping our tour guide would be there. It worked out, because he was there waiting for us. He apologized for the mix up and we were given more snorkel time. I was super disappointed that he did not take any pictures of us like I read in all the other reviews. It honestly was one of the main reasons I chose this company. But nonetheless we had a great tour and our tour guide was friendly. I would recommend to future customers just to be more clear about what you want and to confirm about hotel pick up. Weston, the owner, emailed me back and apologized for the phone mishap. This was an absolutely phenomenal experience. We are on our honeymoon and I am terrified of the water. My husband and I both wanted to try snorkeling and see the Sea Turtles. We loved Shoreline Snorkel. We took the three beach adventure. We were first time snorkelers and a mix group of swimmers and non swimmers plus some seniors. Weston was fully prepared to ease our fears. He got all the equipment and lots of flotations devices. Weston and Donna split us into two groups of swimmers and non swimmers. They took care of each group separately based on their needs and comfort level. We also had senior citizens in our group. Austin was very calm with them and slowly transitioned the non swimmers from shallow to deeper waters. He explained all the sea life that we saw under water. We had never seen such amazing life unclose before. They took our pictures underwater using their own camera. We saw so many sea turtles and got wonderful pictures with them too. Thanks to that, we have some amazing memories of our 1st time snorkeling experience. It's because of Weston and Donna that we are looking forward to many more such snorkeling experiences. They made our 1st time snorkeling experience amazing. We highly recommend them. What a fun and easy experience. Had the option of taking one of those 5 hour 2 for 1 snorkel tours (the ones with tons of other ppl and children), but checked Yelp and saw the reviews for this place instead. It is more expensive but worth every last penny. Westin was our guide/instructor and... well... words can not express how pleased I was with him. I'm sort of a basic weak swimmer and this was my first time snorkeling. Within 15 minutes or so I had the hang of it. Even plan on going back to the beach by myself later in the day for some more. Westin provided clean gear and gave good instruction. He picked us up from our resort then drove us out to a secluded spot on a cool little beach (canoe beach) No crowds or other ppl, just the 3 of us. Gave us a sample of some freshly cut passion fruit and guava. After some instructions on how to use a snorkel, he guided us out to some shallow waters (explaining the entire time what to expect and the drop offs). We were completely guided and made to feel comfortable the entire time. We saw all types of fish and plenty of turtles. The turtles even posed for photo ops. Westin instantly airdropped the photos to me afterwards. Pay the few extra dollars and go see this guy. Especially if you are new to snorkeling and/or swimming. read more

Can't say enough good things about our experience. Our guide Spike picked us up right on time. He was a very friendly and easy going guy, super chill. He asked us what we wanted to do/see and planned our sites accordingly. We spent the day prior to our tour riding around the island going to the snorkeling sites we looked up online and the ones we were told to visit by the snorkeling shops. None of the sites we found on our own came close in comparison to the 3 sites he took us to. The guy knew what he was talking about! The visibility was perfect, there was no one around and even after being to these sites I don't think we'd feel comfortable going back without him. He knows every place he took us to in great detail. He knows how to safely navigate the reef. He ensured our comfort at great lengths including giving my girlfriend the shirt (body suit/shirt) right off his back when he noticed she was cold as we left the first site. We ended up seeing three sites, all of which were excellent. He provided snorkeling gear, safety floatations device, water and great conversation. Lastly, he recommended a few places to grab smoothies/lunch and a dinner spot- all of which were spot on recommendations. Dude knows what's up. I would highly recommend a tour with him, he mentioned he does most of the tours. 5 stars all around and we would definitely use this tour again in the future. read more

I called and the next morning Weston picked up my family of 4. We had paid for a beach snorkel lesson for 2 (just my kids). Even so, he drove all 4 of us to a beach, let me and my husband borrow snorkel gear, and was so great with the kids in the water. He brought them wetsuits to stay warm, floaty noodles, plus snorkels, masks, and fins. I swam a little away from them so I wouldn't distract them, but I could see how he was able to work with each kid and keep them safe and learning. Also, it was really nice for me and my husband to get to remember how to snorkel ourselves on our own, relax and swim and enjoy the ocean without being worried about the kids. I could see they were safe and enjoying their lesson with Weston. Thanks, Weston, for the awesome snorkel lesson. My 5 and 9 year old kids had a super fun time with you. My older son can be a little sensitive and gets anxious, and my little daughter tends to push herself too hard and wants to prove she can do everything. Weston was able to manage both of them really well, keep them both happy, calm, safe, and comfortable, and actually taught them good skills so they were able to snorkel and have fun on our vacation. Thanks to the excellent class, and calm way of helping them get comfortable snorkeling for the first time, they were able to enjoy all the rest of our snorkeling activities for the week, including molokini crater and all the random beaches we stopped at along our drives. We hired Shoreline Snorkel for our kids first snorkeling experience. Our guide was Weston and he immediately put our 14-year-old and 8-year old at ease. He took us to a great spot on Maui with very few other people around which is rare. The kids saw amazing wildlife and fell in love with the turtles. Spike was an amazing tour guide! He made sure that my boyfriend and I had well fitted snorkel gear and brought us the floating noodle to hang onto in case we got tired of swimming. I went on a private Tour of Haleakala I was picked up, watched the sunrise atop of Haleakala Volcano, They even provided us with organic homemade hot chocolate while waiting the sunrise.. It was one of those breath taking moments that everything was just right. I loved it because it was private and i got to chose how my tour went it ranged from so many options. after the sunrise we did some hiking inside the volcano, and then went to breakfest and topped it all off with stopping for a swim in a waterfall. Shoreline Snorkel was the perfect choice for our family of four, which included first-time snorkelers aged 7 and 10. Weston did a great job of getting our kids ready for the water (they had spent time practicing in the pool at the resort the day before) and then took us to a sheltered beach with sandy access. He also had a float along with him and he kept a close watch on our kids and helped them with equipment odds and ends. It really eased my mind and allowed me to enjoy snorkeling myself! We went on an overcast morning and saw the brightest rainbow any of us had ever seen. We saw plenty of fish, no sea turtles, but had an encounter with a small octopus who squirted us with ink! Our snorkel guide Spike was amazing. I booked a lesson for my friend and myself as we were a little nervous and not strong swimmers. Spike took us to a perfect location and totally made us feel comfortable. Besides seeing turtles and other cool fish, he pointed out things we would have never seen otherwise like octopus, flounder etc. My other friend who is an experienced snorkeler tagged along with us and Spike even showed her a few things even though she wasn't apart of the lesson.
