We had the best time on our snorkeling tour today! It was our first snorkeling tour, and we truly couldn't have asked for a better experience. My husband was also snorkeling for the first time and was (not so quietly) terrified, but Will made him feel so much safer and more comfortable in the water. Will, Nicholas, Zac, and Catherine were all so wonderful - they made us feel welcomed and excited from the moment we arrived. Lila was also great and so much fun to take photos with! If I could give 10 stars I would!! The best service, great food, beautiful boat, amazing adventure! We started our sail at 7:00am to Lani. It was a 1.5 hour boat ride over. They served us a cinnamon roll with fruit and an egg croissant sandwich. After we arrived we took a short hike to an overlook, then snorkeled, built a sand castle, and ended our trip with lunch. Lunch was amazing!! It was teriyaki chicken, noodles, salad and roll. There were yard games that my 3 year old loved! Then on our way back we were served alcoholic drinks (mai tais were great), then an ice cream sundae. As we approached the dock they even gave us a cold towel smelling of eucalyptus! It was a great experience from start to finish! Everyone on board went above and beyond! They even gave extra help to my brother with Down Syndrome trying to help/encourage him to snorkel. Exceptional service from all decks on hand, quite literally. From the moment the first mate, Brayden, helped you on board to the accommodating service provided by Katherine it was a perfect evening. We boarded and set sail promptly at 5:00 pm, returning just shy of 8:00 pm. Once settled on board, drinks were served, appetizers were spaced out, dinner service was confirmed and dessert with coffee rounded out the evening. We coasted along with a few key whale shots, the wind picked up, so the captain anchored down in the five, Kate literally put on her snorkel gear and tied off in the middle of the ocean. We treaded for dinner service with an open bar. The service was phenomenal, the staff made you feel like you were catching up with old friends. Laughter was contagious.during dessert blankets were passed out for the journey back to the marina, if it got too windy you could go inside instead of braving the elements. THE BEST THING WE DID ON MAUI!!! We did the Ma'alaea Sunset Cruise with Captain Zach, Catherine, and Becca. The crew was so kind and so attentive. And the food was GREAT! We did the appetizer cruise and it was definitely enough food to be full. The drinks were great and the crew made sure our cups were never empty. The sunset was absolutely beautiful. We would absolutely do it again. They even have a photographer, so we ended up buying a picture from them (although $40 seems a little overpriced for one photo). After over 10 years, we were back on Maui and ready to do another Trilogy cruise. This time we did a Sunset Whale Watching cruise. We left from Maalaea Harbor and took a 2-hour cruise that included drinks and heavy appetizers. The crew were amazing and made sure we had everything we needed, as well as answered all of our questions about whales. We saw so many whales and had a wonderful time! Absolutely extraordinary. Captain Nick was the stuff. He even helped get a whale help from NOAA while we were on board (sick whale, possibly entangled, reported by Cap'n Nick!). Maurice took care of us like a Baywatch guardian! He rode the waves on his boogies board and watched out for us. We felt very safe knowing he was our sheepdog! Clay was hilarious but made sure we knew how to snorkel safely (and to look good doing it!). He had us laughing but he definitely wants you to do the right thing and be safe. Brooke shared her experience with Manta rays with me! She showed me her video. She was also really helpful while we were hanging out with a dolphin! She knews her stuff. This crew is off the chain, I imagine them hanging out on the land, all a bunch of dedicated and kind hearted people who love the ocean and its inhabitants! We are vegan and were afraid we would be met with scorn. Opposite was true! Two different crew members said to us, "are you my vegans?" It was so loving and kind, and not with the usual side eye. They made a scrumptious lunch for us - salad, quinoa and chickpea salad, and a delicious wrap. Even the coffee was amazing. The snorkeling was off the chain. Such great locations they brought us to - first on the Molokini crater, with tons of great fish. We even spotted an eel out there! The next spot was Turtle Town. We saw lots of fish and had an excellent time in the water. We spotted dolphins on our way back, and saw loads of humpbacks on the way out and back in - yes, including our sick friend, who I hope has gotten some help since we were out there. read more

We took a Molokini Tour on 4/11/26 and had an Awesome time .. check in was simple, the boat did not feel crowded at all, staff were fantastic !! We were almost immediately served breakfast and some drink options , and headed out to the crater. We snorkeled two different locations and both were perfect with coral and fish in abundance. On the way back we were served a hearty lunch and cocktails. It was the end of whale season but we saw several on the trip which was great. I would not hesitate to go on Trilogy again and would highly recommend them to everyone !!! read more

Okay...where to start...we took the trip to Lanai, the boat was not over crowded, very comfortable. Lots of seating available. Crew was super guest oriented. Checking in often to see if you need anything. Currently doing a beach loading outside the Sheraton. Whale season so we whale watched all the way over. Pulled into the pier on Lanai then a short walk to the beach to relax, hike, snorkel, whatever you like. Snorkeling was from the beach, short swim out to the reef. Plenty of marine life. They have a photographer and snuba if you want. Short walk to the tide pools. At the beach they had snacks and a fresh water shower. After a couple hours of beach time, short walk back to the pier for lunch. Comfortable open air service. Okay...The food...yes the food...on the boat start with a beverage then cinnamon roll and fruit followed by a breakfast sandwich. Lunch on the island is chicken lau lau, stir fried noodles, corn, Hawaiian roll and salad. As the captain said, they don't just feed you till you are full, they feed you till you hurt. Beverages are water or POG. On the trip back they have open bar. Crew was constantly bringing more drinks and checking to see if you need anything. They finished off with ice cream then finally a refreshing cloth napkin to wash your hands and face. If you go home from this trip hungry it's on you, not them. Can't say enough positive about the captain and crew. Okay now the weird, if you are early finding the check-in spot is a bit of a challenge. There is a small sign up in a tree. The other issue was the parking. Park in the Sheraton garage. Create an account with a QR code then I proceeded to go through the process multiple times. After the cruise the crew will let you scan another QR code for a discount. We were told $15 for parking but were only charged $2.99. Whatever, maybe the instructions we were given were off. I the only thing they could do to improve was to install a shave ice machine (kidding) trip was great, highly recommend them. read more

Great experience today for the Molokini/Turtle Town snorkel. Opted to do snuba at Molokini & loved it. Saw lots of sea turtles, dolphins, and even a baby whale breaching a bunch of times!! Breakfast & lunch were provided as well as drinks. The photographer (@islanddreamsproductions) on board did a phenomenal job capturing the experience as well (we purchased all of them!!). Perfect Day Sailing to Lānaʻi with an Incredible Crew We went on an excursion today in Maui over to Lānaʻi with Trilogy III, and I can't say enough about how amazing the entire experience was. The captain and crew made sure we wanted for nothing they were all incredibly friendly, attentive, and eager to help. The morning started off perfectly with a delicious cinnamon roll and fresh fruit. About 40 minutes later, we were treated to a lovely breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon, and cheese on a croissant. Every detail was thoughtfully planned. We sailed over to Lānaʻi to snorkel, and when we returned, snacks were already waiting for us. After snorkeling, they served a wonderful lunch, and once we boarded the catamaran again, the service continued with drinks and even ice cream. They truly didn't miss a beat, everything was seamless and perfect. Captain Amy was outstanding, and Amanda and the two Wills were fantastic as well. The whole crew made the experience unforgettable. I cannot recommend this business highly enough! I have been adventuring with this company since the late 90's. They have only grown in their customer excellence since! Today, mid November, i was lucky enough to experience whale sightings on our way to Molokini. We had excellent snorkeling there as well as many saw turtles at our 2nd stop. We had a great chicken, rice, salad and bun lunch accompanied by several Mai Tai's on our way back. This company always seems to improve! We went on a dinner cruise the night before we left Maui. Hats off to the chef. Wow! Nothing in the 4-course dinner was off, so delicious. The crew was amazing and funny. They worked hard too though. I watched them cleaning, moving fast to get dinners out and accommodate us. I wish I had tipped more. They deserved it. The only drawback was the nasty wind and getting quite wet as we were heading into the wind. Seemed like it might've been a mistake they course they took, then had to veer back against the wind for a cove to have dinner. Kind of funny though. Went out on the TRILOGY golden hour sail yesterday. Had a great time. It went out of Lahaina on their new boat and we Actually saw some whales and bottle nose dolphins....which was a super plus. Crew was great, weather was perfect and food was delicious. Only thing it was my first time into Lahaina since the fire. I was pretty devastated seeing it all. I rarely write reviews-but this one felt like a must. My first encounter with the Trilogy was when I was rescued out at sea on my paddle board. I can't even begin to get into the wild turn of events- but will say given the circumstances I couldn't have asked for a "better" rescue The crew was so wonderful from captain Stephen - to Amelia that sat beside me and others on board who offered me food and towels. And so much gratitude to the family on board for your caring, nursing skills ...And ride back to my car ... with my board. 2 weeks later when a friend invited me on a snorkeling trip on the Trilogy - I couldn't say no. This time I got to experience the magestic waters in a whole new way. The crew was friendly and on top of every detail making it the most luxurious snorkeling trip I have taken. Captain Stephen kept the ride lively and fun with his sense of humor, and had everyone laughing throughout. Initially I was worried about getting back in the water - but I felt so safe in the serene waters of Honolua Bay with crew close by. It was truly magnificent. As I live on Maui and shared my rescue story with friends - I heard the most wonderful things about the owners of Trilogy. We took Trilogy III out to Lanai on Thursday 8-28-2025 morning, departing from Sheraton Kaanapali. So convenient to our hotel with this pick up location. You hop onto the catamaran directly from the beach. This was our family's first time on a catamaran and since we wanted to visit Lanai for a day; husband decided to go with Trilogy instead of taking the ferry. Trilogy was probably the most expensive option since it is the only company (aside from the ferry) that can land at the island of Lanai. We spent close to $1k booking for 2 adults and 2 kids, using AAA discount of 10% off. Was pleasantly surprised the staff serve us warm cinnamon rolls and drinks upon arrival onto the boat. We had a nice seat at the front of the boat, and would get sprayed by the ocean water occasionally. You'll definitely get wet if you sit on the nets. On the return trip, we sat at the captains area for more shade. Upon arrival at the island, we walked over to the beach area so we can all snorkel. Turns out they can give you rides on the golf cart if you are a slow walker haha. We saw lots of fish but no turtles. They also had prescription goggles available for people to use. The waves were rather high at the beach but once you get past them, we got to see lots of coral and fish. Water was a bit more murky than that of Molokini. Overall we had a good time but it wasn't overly spectacular or mind blowing. Photographer on board to take photos of you and the fish, although there was only maybe 1 school of fish and lots of single fish. A little underwhelming. Lunch was served at the pavilion and consists of chicken, noodles, corn, and salad. We actually returned back to Sheraton by 2:00pm, even though we thought it was suppose to be an 8 hour day which ends at 3:00pm. read more

Went on a sunset dinner cruise to celebrate our anniversary with captain Jim and had a fantastic time. You could immediately tell this was going to be a better dinner cruise than some of the tired old cruises you get on the mainland. Firstly, you are outside in a warm setting out on the beautiful blue ocean. The tables were large enough, but mostly plastic, but the dinnerware was primarily glass and silverware. We apparently were really lucky and had no wind and a clear sky. You know it's amazing when even the crew comes out during sunset and takes a photo. But this sunset will stay with me for life. The food was also top notch, that fruit butter (guava or passionfruit, I can't remember) was so amazing. It was like whipped fruity cream cheese. The drinks were delicious. I got the short rib which was beautifully soft. I will say the butterfish was a bit dry, so maybe go with something else if you were eyeing the fish. Staff was also amazing and super friendly. I want to also say, Captain Jim handled one of the stupidest questions asked when he asked if anyone had questions. It's been said multiple times, the Lahaina tragedy is something that still impacts people today. Be sensitive about it. Don't ask a question like "How bad was the Lahaina fire?" Like it was bad, like do you want specific details? The captain handled that much better than I would have and kudos to him. read more

My wife, kids and I woke up at 5:45 am for the 7:00 departure in early April and they had to cancel the trip because the sand bar was altered in the storm. Apparently the boat was not able to get on the beach for safe enough entry, and they cancelled. Sort of felt they should know and provide a warning of some kind so that we could have had a back up plan. Hear great things about the outfit though! read more

This snorkeling trip far exceeded our expectations. The crew was amazing, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We came as a group of 9 (five adults for kids) and everyone ages 4-65 had an absolute blast of a day. Will make it a point to come back next time we are in Maui! Aside from the adventure, the food was amazing. They are able to accommodate food allergies and I was not at all sad when I was served a gluten free pumpkin muffin instead of the cinnamon roll (although those also looked amazing) Gluten free food does have cross contamination so if you are severely allergic or celiac just know that. This was a beautiful day on the water. It is considered a whale watch but it that and so much more. It so relaxing being on the water and the excellent crew takes such good care of you. You never have to leave your seat to get a drink or something to eat. You're always in place to watch the whale action. Captain Carrie and Newman are our favorite sailing duo. They are amazing! Newman makes a delicious Mai tai! Captain Carrie kept us moving to enjoy the breeze and get us in position to watch some great whale breaches, tail slaps and fin waves. 1/8/2026 I took the 8 hr. Day Trip from Maui to Lana'i with my husband and 7 year old daughter. Captain Turtle and his crew we incredibly friendly and *very* safety conscious (which made me happy for my daughter!). The trip could not have been better in any possible way... my kid safely snorkeled for the first time. Food was great. And the boat is *pristine.* We saw whales outbound and on the return were surrounded by a huge pod of Spinner dolphins and then saw a baby whale for a finale. I would give this 6 out of 5 stars and use profanity to endorse it, but hey- this is a family friendly post! read more
