Amazing afternoon snorkel with James and his crew today! Despite some rain and wind, our trip was abs wonderful from the location to the food and drinks. Best of all were the people- so knowledgeable, friendly and warm. Thank you Sea Maui! We'll def be back

The Perfect Ending to Our Honeymoon We couldn't have imagined a better way to end our honeymoon. We booked this sunset sail for our final evening on Maui, and it was absolutely unforgettable. While parking is available at Whalers Village (and validated by the crew), we opted to walk over from our resort, which made for an easy and scenic start to the evening. After a quick check-in and safety briefing, we were ready to board. Just a heads-up: boarding happens directly from the beach into the water, so wear shorts or be prepared to lift your dress! From the moment we stepped onto the vessel, the crew -- Quinn, Carrie, and Ben -- made us feel completely taken care of. They were warm, fun, professional, and incredibly attentive. Whether ensuring everyone's safety or helping us enjoy the open bar to the fullest, their energy really elevated the entire experience. My husband kept commenting on how exceptional the service was -- and he's not easy to impress! The boat itself was in great condition and noticeably less crowded than the other vessels we saw on the water. There was plenty of space to move around, with both sunny and shaded seating options, and the beanbags added a playful touch for both couples and families. The views were absolutely breathtaking, made even more magical by live music from Tim McDill, whose performance added a special, intimate feel to the sail. The entire atmosphere was calm, romantic, and joyful -- just what we needed after weeks of wedding chaos. The open bar offered a good variety of drinks, and the food exceeded our expectations. While it's not a fine dining experience, it was fresh, tasty, and exactly what you want on a sunset cruise. Huge thanks to the entire Sea Maui crew for making our last night on the island so special. It was the perfect way to close out an incredible trip -- we'll be reminiscing about it for years to come.

Such a great experience! Before our trip to Maui I searched for things to do and this was one of the top. The communication for the event was great. We received emails about what to expect with directions to the pick-up location. The staff were friendly, fun and entertaining. They were big on safety and wanted everyone to have a good time.On our sea ride we saw dolphins swimming along the boat which was such a treat. Lots of photo opportunities. Food and drinks were great. Worth the price for the experience!

Nick, Jess, and James were the great crew when my husband and I did the Xpress Snorkel trip last week. This 2.5 hour trip from Ka'anapali Beach was the perfect amount of time for us to spend time in the water to swim with a bunch of turtles and all kinds of lovely fish. We met up at Whaler's Village at 7:50am for our trip. The catamaran we were on was close enough to the shore that we just had to wade out to it a few steps and climb some stairs onto the boat. There were probably about 20 other guests plus the crew but there was plenty of seating for everyone. Nick explained how to use the snorkels, fins, and masks, and went over safety tips before we got into the water. We took a 20-minute ride over to the snorkeling spot that had lots of turtles and fish in the area. Once there, we jumped in and swam around to our heart's content. There was always a crew member in the water with us (mostly James) and he was good about keeping an eye on folks and answering any questions we had about what we were seeing underwater. The water temp was just right and I felt completely safe swimming around. I just wish I had an underwater camera with me to document the sea life that we got up close to. After we had our fill, we sailed back to our starting point, with complimentary snacks and drinks available for all. This was totally worth the money and we'll have great memories of that day to cherish.

We booked Sea Maui whale watching trip in late March. The staffs were super friendly and gave us a safety debrief before boarding the boat. The boat was a lovely single level boat with open view of the sea. There was an open bar with alcohol and soft drinks. During the trip, we saw about 8 whales swimming distantly. We even saw whale calf! The staffs were very knowledgeable and educated us about the migration of humpback whales. The entire trip took about 2 hours. It was a very smooth sailing and we really enjoyed the view and the opportunity to see whales!

An absolute must-do with this company while in Maui. Captain Travis (my PNW brother and fellow captain), Jenn and Vinnie were phenomenal! Food was great, cocktails on point, and even the whales made an appearance! Tim McDill was our onboard music and he knocked it out of the park! There are plenty of sunset dinner cruises in Maui, but this is the one you need to go on!

We booked a sunset sail on a catamaran. It was an open bar and light hors d'oeuvres sail. There were about 50 of us on board, but did not feel crowded, and allowed for moving around. They were organized and communicative (got confirmation text etc.) The crew was top notch. Obviously, they were well skilled at sailing, but also charmed the passenger with their customer service. (big smiles, engaging conversation, taking photos at sunset, serving drinks, etc.) Drinks and food as advertised. The music was fun and upbeat. Their site detailed expectations perfectly.  They warned us parking was an event of itself and suggested planning on extra time. Indeed, the parking situation wasn't optimal, but they validate for plenty of time. Two amazing hours.

Highly recommend grabbing a tour for a day with Sea Maui! What a special touch for an already amazing vacation. The crew was top notch and food and service was fantastic, the boat was so clean and the staff so friendly. Thanks Sea Maui for making our family trip extra memorable! Aloha, the Clarks

Thank you See Maui for an amazing sunset dinner cruise. Captain Carrie with crew Ava and Quin were great hosts. A variety of cocktails and dinner of salmon, short ribs, salad, veggies and roasted potatoes was delicious. Relaxing adventure with stunning views and of course an epic sunset! Will do this again! Thanks guys...

Highlight of my trip! Jim needs a raise! On a serious note, we had a great time on our sunset cruise. We were having a mini family reunion on Maui and opted to take this cruise and we had a blast! The crew on the ship were very friendly and entertaining. The drinks were exceptional and felt like they got stronger and stronger the longer we were aboard. The food complimented our intoxication perfectly. The views were absolutely breathtaking and we even got to see whales breaching. Much mqhalo for the crew!

The managers of the charter were very helpful and understanding, and that's just the beginning of it! The four making up our adventure's crew were fantastic at their jobs. It was impressive to see their knowledge. They were also very friendly and knowledgeable! Additionally, there was a professional photographer on the team that ensured everyone had portraits taken. He, too, was obviously experienced and friendly. I can't wait to see the final results.

AMAZING experience! We had traveled to two of the other islands and had seen whales from afar, but wanted to get more of an experience on our last stop of the islands... Sea Maui was highly recommended and now we understand why! The staff was absolutely amazing. We were out on the water for 2 hours and they made sure everyone had waters, sodas, seltzers, beers, etc and snacks the whole time. They played great music and made sure they were putting in their best efforts to spot some whales! This was definitely top 3 experiences of our two week trip in Hawaii!! Will definitely come back and recommend to anyone visiting Maui

Hello! We will be visiting right after whale season (4/18-4/22), do you think it might still be possible to see some whales during a sunset cruise at this time?

    Yep

Is it possible to do a tour with both snorkeling and fishing on itinerary?

Aloha! We do not combine fishing with our snorkeling tours. We only provide snorkeling tours on our catamarans.

Do they serve breakfast food/snacks for the early 8am tour?

Yes!! We had a delicious breakfast when we went in late February!! And they serve great cocktails. The service they provide is phenomenal

Hi we will be staying at the Fairmont Kea Lani in July. We will have a car. How far is the drive from our hotel to the marina we would have to drive to? Will it be too far?

Map out the distance to Whaler's Village. You need to park in the paid parking lot for the shopping center, and then walk over to the ocean side of the center to check in.

We are coming in mid February next year. I'm wondering if you we booked a snorkeling tour is it likely for us to also see whales on the tour? Thanks!

Aloha, Yes that’s actually the best time of the year to see them so it’s definitely pretty likely to see them on the way to the snorkel spot!

How long is the boat ride from kaanapali beach to Lanai snorkeling site? We are trying to determine whether to join your west Maui snorkeling tour or Lanai tour? Any recommendations? Thx.

It’s about an hour to the site ! This is a great trip that runs Tuesdays and Fridays only.

Aloha! Currently we are at 50% capacity which is 24 pax on our smaller vessel Sea Maui II and 45 on our larger vessel Sea Maui III :-)

    Is there a restroom available?

Yes we have restrooms on both vessels :-)

What days do you have live music on your sunset cruise?is dinner provided as well? Thank

We met them on the beach as directed, and then we're ferried to the main boat from the dinghy in several groups, which took a few minutes. We spent a good chunk of time boating over to the first location, which was a ways away. I'm not sure if this was typical or not, but it was super rocky, and I watched an entire family get seasick and throw up several times. Is that our fault for choosing this location? If it *IS* typical conditions, is it the fault of the captain for not picking a less rocky site? We didn't throw up, but we were definitely nauseated and didn't even snorkel at the second site. Same went for that whole family that got seasick, lol. The snorkeling was fine, equipment was in good condition, and the fish were... ample enough. I'll give it up to the two crew members on the boat, they were helpful, friendly, and got us well-situated and kept us safe. The captain on the other hand, I'll agree with another reviewer, is that he seemed unnecessarily short/sarcastic with some nauseated passengers (and then overtly flirty with a few others, but I'm not going to broach that here...). I witnessed him get really short with an Asian woman trying to figure out how to lock the bathroom door and flush the toilet, which on a boat is not typical common knowledge. The food and drinks they provided were pretty good, very basic snacks and drinks that help us over until lunchtime. With more time and planning, I'd probably book with a snorkeling tour that's a bit more popular, and that goes to a more popular and less rocky site.
