Diving in Lahaina is just unfortunately Different post fire. The harbor is closed and my favorite Dive Shop (Lahaina Divers) and their two boats were lost in the fire. Dive Maui was so great in helping to not only get people back in the water from Mala Wharf which is a mile from the Lahaina Harbor but they went the extra mile and hired many dive guides and instructors from Lahaina Divers. I have been out now with Dive Maui many times and it's truly been great! Its my new happy place and everyone I go diving with feels the same. A few weeks ago I did a few shore dives with David. He is so nice and so knowledgeable and just a super nice guy that you want to dive with him a million times! The whole team at Dive Maui is great and I highly recommend them anytime you are in West Maui for some great diving!

Everyone got fitted with a shortie wetsuit which was nice to have for the dive.

Had a really nice time on the Discovery Dive with Dive Maui in Lahaina. My wife learned to scuba dive for the first time which was really exciting for her. Our dive instructor, Matt, did a very good job of getting everyone comfortable and in the water. There was one gal who ended up backing out, and he helped her back to the beach and took good care of her. The other three of us had a very good dive together. We dove over along north side of Black Rock, and saw a lot of fish (schools of them) and many corals along the rock formations. Highly recommend this dive company and Matt.

We had a wonderful experience getting back in the water with Abbi and the rest of the Dive Maui team last week. My wife and I were on our first empty nester trip in 17 years, so we needed a refresher dive first. Abbi took us on the Turtle cleaning/shark shore dive at Mala pier. We had a blast blowing bubbles at 29 feet while being surrounded by turtles and fish. WOW! The next day we took the boat to Lanai and had two dives at 65 feet, including the Catherdal (#1). Enjoyed the experience of sliding off the boat and dropping down into the deep. Abbi was a great guide. We look forward to our next Maui trip, so we can get back in the water with Dive Maui. Thank you for the memories!

Right before we went out on the boat. The cathedral is unbelievably beautiful. This is a great dive.

LAHAINA IS OPEN!! Book these guys. We did a 2 tank dive to the cathedral - Brian and Capt. Jack were very good communicators - and very good dice masters. The water is PERFECT - without temp tables. A 3mm suit or shorty is fine.

Best instructor, Sean, for open water certification. Also great variety on locations that are easily accessible from the beach.

We did the 1.5 hour tour and we were so lucky we spotted multiple whales. The captain and crew were friendly and knowledgeable.

Rude customer service. I've always loved the diving teams I've gone with but I will never use this group again. Not great dive sites either.

This was my first time diving post-Covid and I couldn't have sailed with a better crew. Matt, Jess,…read moreJT, Brian, and our captain Brad were all amazing people to dive with. Matt and Brian were both amazing divemasters, both very accommodating to our entire party of divers. Matt will ask you what your favorite song is; be prepared to have one picked out, because you may hear it come on when some whales breach nearby (like what happened to me). Brad is the quintessential captain; he makes his boat so inviting you just want to stay there and hang out even after your dive is over. I was able to dive Lanai Cathedrals and Hammerhead. The former is a must for divers of any skill level for anyone that hasn't experienced it. Taking in the sights of shafts of light in super clear waters inside a coral enclosure is akin to a religious experience, so the cathedral moniker is fitting. The latter is very much a dive for advanced divers with a lot of dives logged under their belt. Dive conditions are notoriously windy/choppy/heavy currents, however we were fortunate that none of those were true. Absolutely perfect conditions, but even then you should be prepared for a potentially strenuous drift dive. It's off-season for Hammerheads, so we didn't see any, but this wasn't at all a problem. There's no denying how amazing it is to dive along a sheer coral cliff face like The Finger and some dolphins came to say hi on our dive. Diving off Moloka'i (where the Hammerhead dive is) is an absolute privilege no matter what sealife you encounter. Brian, our divemaster for Hammerhead, is exactly the kind of divemaster you want for an advanced dive by making sure everyone's head is in the right space: if you uphold your end of the bargain in taking this seriously by paying attention to your oxygen and no deco (and in an advanced dive, the quality of everyone's experience truly hinges on everyone taking every element of the dive very seriously), you'll have exactly the kind of laid back experience you came for. Where Lahaina Divers went above and beyond is they accommodated a family emergency that forced me to cancel my other two dives on VERY short notice, no questions asked (note to any travelers staying in the Napili area: the closest emergency room is a 45 minute drive away!). Thankfully all is well, but I absolutely needed to be available and couldn't make those dives, and it was no sweat at all to get that situated. I left some camera gear on the boat for my second dive, and Brad reached out to let me know I could pick it up at the shop. After everything that happened after that second dive, gotta tell ya, you really appreciate that level of care and consideration. Sure enough, I popped in later on and got my gear easy peasy. It's been 10 years since I've set foot on Maui and thus dove with Lahaina Divers, but fingers crossed I'll be back much sooner (and can keep all my reservations booked!).

The corals were mostly bleached, the fish were in an abundance but it was obvious the corals are hurting. No shark, or big fish in views. Being in the middle of whale season I was hoping to at least hear them underwater but no luck. On the way to and from the dive site we saw a bunch of whales which was a huge bonus. I have dove the big island and think it's so much better but that's just my 2 cents.

I scheduled the class a few months in advance, and they even advertised it to recruit another student (after all, you can't rescue yourself!). I learned from the best--Kerri is a true expert in both diving and instruction. He is incredibly patient and explains concepts clearly. He took the time to answer all of our questions and really instilled the importance of dive safety--that anything can happen at any time, and you always need to stay aware, especially in and around the water. We practiced multiple real-life rescue scenarios in the water, which made the training feel practical and incredibly valuable. I learned so many important skills from Kerri--both ones I hope I never have to use and others that I will carry with me on every dive going forward. I look forward to diving with Kerri and the Maui Dreams crew the next time I'm on Maui!

He will also take the time to point out many sea creatures during the dives (and will write their names out for you) that you may have never noticed otherwise or may have never seen before! He really is a fantastic guide and his passion for diving is very evident and is a fantastic resource for finding out where the best diving is around Maui. We had such a fantastic time with him that we have booked several subsequent dives and are extremely excited for our next dive. The night dive we did the other day was spectacular! We are totally hooked! Brent, you have sincerely made our 5th year anniversary trip something that we will never forget! We can't thank you enough!
