Upon arrival we boarded with everyone else and headed to the top deck. The wind was awful so as you might imagine, it was not enjoyable. I wish they would have cancelled. We didn't cruise, we went to a harbor for shelter from the wind and hooked up to a mooring. The wind was so fierce that our group went below to eat where the staff was preparing the food. The food was okay. Not at all worth the price and don't fall for the lobster up charge of $70... it wasn't worth it. The crew was great. The drinks were readily poured, which was appreciated. With that said, the entire group agreed it wasn't worth the money and we wish they would have canceled due to wind.

The four-course meal was stellar and much better than we expected from food served on a boat. Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and delicious. Between the incredible crew, exceptional service, wonderful food, beautiful ocean views, and Maui sunset, this was the perfect way to end our time in Maui. We couldn't have asked for a better final evening on the island.

Had an awesome experience on Four Winds snorkeling Molokini Crater. The staff was super down to…read moreearth and friendly. When you get on board they have a light breakfast with fruit, croissants and muffins that you can snack on, as well as fruit juice. The ride out, they explain some safety stuff and how the day is going to run. There are 2 floors to the boat with the upstairs being much more open. There were only about 30 people the day we went but I believe they have up to 100, so a more crowded day may have a different experience. Despite being in November, we ended up seeing several whales coming to the surface (apparently they are in abundance come January). They provide snorkel gear and fins, but you are more than welcome to bring your own (we borrow fins only as we brought our own masks). They provide a simple anti fog spray which worked great. They let us snorkel for about 2 hours in the surrounding area asking us to stay within 50 yards of the boat with a buddy. The staff answered all our questions about what fish we were seeing and recommendation for how to see the best fish. There is also a glass bottom that you can climb down a ladder in the boat to see the fish without going in the water. They served lunch while docked so you could eat while you took a break from snorkeling. It was fish tacos with a selection of fish, pork or being burger meat. They had a slaw and quinoa side and some chips. Nothing fancy but o found it delicious after working up an appetite snorkeling. They had cameras for rent (extremely expensive so I'd bring your own), a photographer that took picture you could purchase for a fee ($80 for all the pictures she took of us, again a little pricey), wet suit tops for rent ($10 each) and special snorkel masks if you are near sighted (I believe this had no additional charge). The boat was pretty new, clean and open which was nice. I would 100% go out with this company again.

Lunch was fantastic - fish tacos, pork tacos, vegetarian tacos or hot dog - grilled it right on the boat. Toppings were great - it was just good fresh food. Super impressed with the whole experience

It's a shorter trip, which worked perfectly for the younger kids and didn't tie up a big amount of island time. Captain Nick and his crew was all about making sure all had a great time while keeping safety at the top of mind. They guaranteed we'd see turtles... we did! Immediately. I accused them of being remote controlled because they were there right on cue! I'm not a big snorkel guy, but I had a blast. We'll keep returning to Sea Maui. Greatest crew on Maui !!

The catamaran was pretty sweet, with some really comfy bean bags overlooking the edge out to the ocean. While we did occasionally get splashed in this area, it was worth the unobstructed view of the sunset and the breeze in my hair. The crew was especially sweet and treated all of us like absolute royalty. A note to those who are prone to motion sickness: do not try to be brave and only wear sea bands thinking you'll be okay. Take your Dramamine an hour before you board the catamaran. While the first half of our dinner cruise was fine with my motion sickness, the second half of the trip left me feeling really queasy around dinner service time. This made me very sad. This was no fault of the crew, and 100% my fault for thinking I could tough it out. If you are ill-prepared, the crew has ginger ale, club soda and ginger chews to help. Speaking of dinner, the few bites I was able to eat on our first trip were fantastic: a full dinner buffet prepared by Cafe Jai. The salmon was perfectly tender, as was the short rib. The caesar salad was just the right amount of tangy (and the extra dressing was really great on the salmon as well.) I'm not sure what kind of sauce was on the crispy seasoned potatoes but they were absolutely delightful. And of course, the crown on top of a delicious meal was the mini brownie cup we were served for dessert before we wrapped up the trip. Our second trip (where I was prepared with some Dramamine) was a memorial for our grandparents, where we released their cremains at sea with eco-urns. I must say that the crew handled everything wonderfully. We had the full bar, another beautiful buffet spread including some delicious crispy chicken, a pesto pasta salad, pulled beef sliders, and rolls. After we said our emotional goodbyes, we were given rose petals to release into the ocean. We even received certificates after the trip that gave us the coordinates of where my grandparents cremains were released. I seriously cannot thank Sea Maui enough for giving my family a truly memorable experience on our trip to Maui. They made our trip so special. A million thanks for the kindness!

The captain and naturalist were nice, friendly and knowledgeable. We saw a lot of whales, sea turte, and we also heard the whales sing! The captain has a hyrophone and that's when we heard the whales sing. Towards the end of our tour, I heard the whale sounds with just my ear and without the hydrophone. It was a really cool and memorable experience. I highly recommend Maui Reef Adventure.

I chose this particular tour because it was a smaller group size and I did not want to feel crowded or overwhelmed on a boat with strangers. It was the perfect amount of people, and my husband and I ended up chatting with most of the other passengers, having lots in common. Our captain was Caiden, who was extremely kind, informative, and entertaining. We also had crewmates Sienna, Diego, and Jim looking out for us and making sure that we were comfortable and had all of our wants and needs met. I felt completely safe and comfortable the entire trip and I appreciated having a certified lifeguard on boat with us. The snorkeling experience was phenomenal and being pregnant, it made me feel so calm and relaxed. I appreciated learning the history of the two various locations we snorkeled at and the opportunity to see a sea turtle. The ship itself was pristine, and the restrooms were some of the cleanest I have ever experienced on a boat. The breakfast and lunch that they served us was tasty, and the macadamia nut cookies at the end were the perfect sweet treat. I appreciated that they were able to offer me mocktails since I cannot drink at this time, and those were tasty as well. This experience was worth every penny and I would definitely come back and do it again.

The evening before my tour, I called to confirm everything. During that call, the representative noticed what appeared to be a duplicate reservation and assured me she would cancel the duplicate booking. She also recommended that I contact GetYourGuide to verify I would not be double charged. GetYourGuide confirmed that my reservation had always been for only one person and that I had only been charged once. Despite this, approximately two hours before my scheduled departure, I received a call informing me that my tour was being canceled because there were not enough passengers. I even offered to purchase a second seat so the tour could proceed, but that offer was declined. What is most frustrating is not simply that the tour was canceled, but that this issue could have been communicated much earlier. If the company knew they were unlikely to meet their minimum passenger requirement, there was no reason to wait until two hours before departure. By that point, I had already arranged transportation, incurred cancellation fees on my ride, and lost the opportunity to book another snorkeling excursion during my vacation. Yes, I was refunded, but a refund is the bare minimum when a company cancels a service for reasons entirely within its control. The last-minute cancellation created unnecessary inconvenience and wasted valuable vacation time. If you're booking with Hawaii Nautical, especially as a solo traveler, be aware that your reservation may be canceled at the last minute if they don't have enough passengers. I would have appreciated more transparency and significantly more notice.

From the…read moremoment we stepped onboard until we returned to the harbor, everything was incredibly organized. The crew worked together like a well-oiled machine and made the entire experience seamless. A quick tip before you arrive: parking is $7, and you absolutely need to pay it. There were tow trucks literally sitting in the parking lot waiting for people who didn't pay. It definitely wasn't worth risking getting your rental car towed over $7! The food was surprisingly good! Breakfast included pastries, fresh fruit, muffins, a coffee bar, delicious juices, and water. They also served healthy snacks after snorkeling with fresh cucumbers, sliced bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, and hummus. Lunch was a choice of pulled pork sandwiches or deli sandwiches with chips, sodas, and other drinks. After snorkeling, alcoholic beverages were available for purchase as well. The boat itself was fantastic, with three bathrooms, two water slides, a jumping platform off the second deck, and even reef-safe sunscreen provided for everyone. The snorkeling was absolutely incredible! The coral was beautiful, and there was so much marine life. We saw countless tropical fish, two octopuses, a squid, needlefish, and more sea turtles than we could count. It truly felt like swimming in an aquarium. A special shoutout goes to Corine, who was the absolute highlight of our trip. Unfortunately, several people became seasick during the ride, and she cared for every single one of them with such kindness and compassion--bringing water, Dramamine, napkins, and constantly checking on them. She never seemed bothered and genuinely made those guests feel cared for. She was amazing! One tip: if you're prone to motion sickness, take Dramamine before the trip. We did see quite a few people getting sick over the side of the boat because the ocean can be rough. This excursion exceeded all of our expectations. Great food, an amazing crew, a beautiful boat, and some of the best snorkeling we've ever experienced. 10/10--we would absolutely do it again!

And it wasn't just one person, it was all of them. Making this an extremely special and cathartic experience. 2. The food. Ok, I mean the eggs, muffins and croissants were awesome but can we talk about the tacos!!! Bro! The pork tacos were incredible. The mahi mahi tacos were also very good. The pineapple salsa was a must have! And this was all before I had 2 mai Tais... so this isn't my taste buds under the influence. 3. The charter itself was wonderful. The boat was comfortable, there was plenty of space. We went to 2 different spots and were given plenty of time to explore. The music was on point, a little Fleetwood Mac, Green Day, etc. it was eclectic alt chill. Legit they could make their own Spotify playlist, 4. It's not the cheapest, or the most expensive. But I don't know how it gets better than this and I think it was 100% worth the money. So a huge thank you to the crew of Maui magic. Plenty many swimming around us, we even saw a baby shark and a stingray! They provide snorkeling gear, floaties, boogie boards, and a water slide for those interested. The service was amazing and super helpful. They're always checking up on you and making sure all is well. They provide drinks (alcohol for 21 and above) light breakfast, and delicious lunch. They do rent weather swim jackets for $10 incase the water is cold. We got them but there was no need.

They provide the life vests, kayaks, snorkel equipment and dry bags if needed. If you wear glasses, I highly recommend that you rent a optical mask prior to your snorkel trip so you don't miss out on all the fun things to see. Also, highly recommend a pouch for your phone so you can take pictures. We had planned on renting snorkel equipment the day before so that the seven year old cooks try it and get used to the mask. This didn't happen and it maybe would have helped, as jumping off a kayak into deep water, plus adding a weird mask in which you can't use your nose and adding the snorkel was quite overwhelming. Ryan was our guide and was great. Our family was the only group in which everyone had kayaking experience. Most people were new to both. Ryan did a great job explaining everything and making sure that everyone was safe and having fun. He also talked about the different islands near the end. We had a fabulous time. Saw many turtles and fish feeding on the reefs. The views both above and below the water were amazing.

There was parking across the street, and Maui Ocean Sports was easy to find in the back of the complex. The front desk guy and our guide, Luke, were super friendly. Our group of 4 and the other group of 3 in our time slot had all kayaked before, so we got minimal instruction. We saw so many turtles on our paddle out! It was beautiful on the water and we had the best time! They provide water and you can borrow a dry bag if you don't have one, and leave stuff in a cabinet - we left towels and a change of clothes (restroom on the property and place to rinse right off the beach).

If you're looking to have a great time and build some great memories in Maui you can rent jet skies with Pacific Jet Sports and they even offer photo session while you're on the jet skies they email you at an affordable price. The staff "everyone" was super nice. We took a short boat ride to a designated section on the water where there shop was. They went over safety instructions with the jet skies. We had about 40-45 minute time to ride the jet skies. The water was amazing beautiful blue color and the waves were pretty wild. Great time - thanks !!!

Found a black sand beach without needing reservations and driving 2 hours away from Grand Wailea…read more Few people around, fantastic snorkeling spot with fish everywhere (saw 2 snorkel boats nearby), tide pools and spotted a turtle close to shore. We even got to swim with the turtle up close for a bit, of course no touching. The shore is very rocky, so be sure to wear water shoes. While the sand is quite soft, we had a nicer time bringing chairs with us. Don't bother bringing a body board as it was way too rocky for that. For snorkelers, I recommend the south end of the beach by the rock wall. As soon as we got in, we saw fish everywhere to the left. If you go around the rock formations, that's where the tour boats took us last time we snorkeled with Redline Rafting, and we actually spotted them there again. So it's a great spot for snorkeling, although a bit more challenging with a rocky shore entry but just be careful, go slow and should be fine. I did it with my 9 year old and we had a great time. Definitely watch where you step because there are sea urchins the further out you go. It's quite a remote spot with no bathrooms or showers. Be sure to use the bathroom before you go, or the ocean is your bathroom as they say. The turnoff is a dirt road, a bit bumpy, but if you go slow you'll be fine. Although the lot is small, we found parking easily at 9:30am. We're happy we found this hidden gem away from the crowds, saw black sand, saw lots of fish and got to swim with a turtle!

He did everything he could to make everyone feel comfortable, included, and safe despite the challenging conditions. His professionalism, patience, and positive attitude truly stood out, and he deserves every bit of a 5-star rating. We made sure he knew how much we appreciated his hard work. Cons: If you're expecting an experience similar to Waimea Falls--a beautiful, safe, and enjoyable way to explore nature--this tour is unfortunately nothing like that. The concierge at Hyatt appeared to have little understanding of what the trek actually involved. The entire route was muddy, slushy, and extremely slippery. People were constantly losing their footing on wet rocks, tree roots, fallen branches, and uneven terrain. In several places, a slip could have easily resulted in a serious injury. These hazardous conditions continued for virtually the entire hike. If Maui has experienced recent rainfall, I strongly recommend thinking twice before booking this excursion. The trail conditions can become genuinely dangerous, and in my opinion, the risk simply isn't worth it. I only wish someone had been honest with us before we spent the money and put our family in that situation. Please do your own research, check recent trail conditions, and don't assume that every guided excursion is appropriate simply because it's sold through a resort or has high ratings. I would gladly pay the same $250 per person (price we paid for a 5 hr tour - hotel pick up from Hyatt) for a well-maintained state-owned park with established safety measures and properly maintained trails. Unfortunately, this tour fell far short of those standards and simply wasn't the right experience for us.

We have taken three of their "Morning Walks" with our grandkids and it's a perfect introduction to hiking. Honestly we've had three different ...wonderful.. experiences. It's not strenuous and you're taken back to some private land that you'd not have access to if you just drove up and parked (if you found a parking spot) and hiked back in. We were lucky to have the lovely, fun, and knowledgeable guide named Randolyn ..aka Ran. She was the perfect blend of kind, patient and engaging with the grandkids, and very helpful with us old folks! On the drive on the way home she advised a few newbies to the island where some great places to eat were... they greatly appreciated her ideas! She had the most pleasant demeanor.... :) If you want a fun morning walk, call Hike Maui

The breakfast and lunch that they served us was tasty, and the macadamia nut cookies at the end were the perfect sweet treat. I appreciated that they were able to offer me mocktails since I cannot drink at this time, and those were tasty as well. This experience was worth every penny and I would definitely come back and do it again.

Very happy with the ones they suggested. Back at the hotel I looked up the prices on our favorite mail order site just to see if we were price gouged. The adult sets were the exact same price online, and the kids sets were $10 more per set online! I scheduled the class a few months in advance, and they even advertised it to recruit another student (after all, you can't rescue yourself!). I learned from the best--Kerri is a true expert in both diving and instruction. He is incredibly patient and explains concepts clearly. He took the time to answer all of our questions and really instilled the importance of dive safety--that anything can happen at any time, and you always need to stay aware, especially in and around the water. We practiced multiple real-life rescue scenarios in the water, which made the training feel practical and incredibly valuable. I learned so many important skills from Kerri--both ones I hope I never have to use and others that I will carry with me on every dive going forward. I look forward to diving with Kerri and the Maui Dreams crew the next time I'm on Maui!

Michael did a great job of going over what to expect. He did a great job during the dive as I originally struggled a bit, mostly due my long layoff from diving and the current. However he kept me calm and I improved my technique during the dive, I was use to drift dives. I was originally scheduled for a 2nd dive but we spent 55 minutes on the 1st dive, more than I expected. I didn't expect that length of time or that heavy of a current. Scuba Shack refunded the cost of the 2nd dive. It turned out 1 dive was perfect amount of time and we saw lots of fish, juvenile rays and even a turtle.

We were 4 snorkelers with 6 divers. We had to be at the marina at 5:20am and the early start was worth it. We were the 1st boat out to Molokini. We got to watch the sunrise while the scuba divers got ready. Capt Charlie was the over watch for us snorkelers and he gave us very clear instructions on where to go and how far away from the boat we were allowed to wander. Next stop was Turtle town, we only saw one turtle but still enjoyed an hour snorkeling around. The staff was great and the snorkeling was fun. We went back in to Scuba Shack a couple of times and every time they gave us great suggestions on places to eat that didn't disappoint.

After getting nowhere, I reached out to Maui Diving scuba Shop--and I'm really glad I did. Sam jumped in to help right away. He took the time to track down my certification, worked through the system issues, and even called me back personally to let me know he found it. That level of service is rare these days. Seriously appreciate the extra effort--Sam and the team saved my dive. Highly recommend Maui Diving scuba if you're looking for people who genuinely care and go the extra mile!

If you buy anything from this store, a normal retail purchase, you will be charged an additional…read more4.8% in State Water Activity Tax and Biodiesel Recycling fees.... for a T-Shirt purchase made in cash. This is on top of the normal and legitimate 4.72% GET sales tax. (See the attached receipt) If you pay with a credit card they likely tack on an additional 3% credit card fee as that is also their policy (and they are entitled to do that, as odd as it is for a brick and mortar retail store) Anyway, avoid this shop. In the past, I have spoken with the manager and the owner about cashiers not removing the 3% Credit Card surcharge on cash or debit purchases, and they always assure me that they do not add the charge for cash or debit purchases, but that was never my experience. I always had to ask or have the extra refunded once I realized the "error." Can't even call it an "error" anymore. I avoided using this shop after being annoyed by the above behavior, and was eventually banned largely for bringing up this issue online before, so I did not know if they ever addressed the issue, though I doubted it because they never owned up to doing it. Now, not only did they not address it, they increased the bogus charge and gave bogus reasons for it. I was trying to have my ban undone, but not anymore. They do not deserve a dime of my or anyone else's money. Buyer beware. UPDATE after owner response: You said it was an error and my friend has been refunded. How exactly? They paid cash. Which kind of means you lied about them having been refunded, heh? Also, they want a refund for the whole shirt as they no longer want to wear a logo shirt with your shop's name on it. Can I bring the shirt in for a full refund? Also, after I posted on social media about this, another person said they saw the same charges on a retail purchase in July at the Lahaina Store, so this charge was being added to all retail purchases since July it would seem. Is the store going to go through their receipts and refund everyone that they can the overcharge? They certainly should. And anybody who shopped there should check their receipts.
