The details: Our tour started by meeting at tree at the Sheraton, which sounds awkward but for us was super convenient and it was fun boarding the sailboat from the beach but you will get a little wet! Captain Michael walks you though the day and then you are off for about ~90 minutes to Lanai. During that time you are served (not a buffet) two meals. The cinnamon rolls were great and the breakfast croissants are now something I make at home. There was also a photographer on board so we took advantage and took some family photos (you buy at the end and I found them a whole lot cheaper and less stress than an actual family shoot). Once you get to the Island you can take a golf cart or take a short walk to the beach where they have all the gear you need. After the safety briefing you have about 2 hours to snorkel with the crew serving as lifeguards in the water. It is VERY easy to lose where you are when you've got your head underwater. I appreciated how attentive the crew was to where the four of us were at since there were a few times we needed some gentle guidance out of a harms way (shoreline rocks). The photographer also captures your snorkel sesh. After snorkeling, you're treated to another full meal of noodles and chicken. Followed by anything you might need for a little seasickness to prep for the journey back . My 12 yo son was pretty full at this point and had befriended the captain who let him help get the boat ready for the return trip. That was very cool! The ride home was a bit bumpy (Hurricane Lowell was coming) but Captain Michael did a great job avoiding anything major and even found a pod of dolphins. We also enjoyed the mai tais! Great experience! We will book more tours in the future. I would have booked another snorkeling or sunset tour during this trip but the water quality really deteriorated with the upcoming storm.

The level of service exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel incredibly well taken care of throughout the cruise. The four-course meal was stellar and much better than we expected from food served on a boat. Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and delicious. Between the incredible crew, exceptional service, wonderful food, beautiful ocean views, and Maui sunset, this was the perfect way to end our time in Maui. We couldn't have asked for a better final evening on the island.

Had an awesome experience on Four Winds snorkeling Molokini Crater. The staff was super down to…read moreearth and friendly. When you get on board they have a light breakfast with fruit, croissants and muffins that you can snack on, as well as fruit juice. The ride out, they explain some safety stuff and how the day is going to run. There are 2 floors to the boat with the upstairs being much more open. There were only about 30 people the day we went but I believe they have up to 100, so a more crowded day may have a different experience. Despite being in November, we ended up seeing several whales coming to the surface (apparently they are in abundance come January). They provide snorkel gear and fins, but you are more than welcome to bring your own (we borrow fins only as we brought our own masks). They provide a simple anti fog spray which worked great. They let us snorkel for about 2 hours in the surrounding area asking us to stay within 50 yards of the boat with a buddy. The staff answered all our questions about what fish we were seeing and recommendation for how to see the best fish. There is also a glass bottom that you can climb down a ladder in the boat to see the fish without going in the water. They served lunch while docked so you could eat while you took a break from snorkeling. It was fish tacos with a selection of fish, pork or being burger meat. They had a slaw and quinoa side and some chips. Nothing fancy but o found it delicious after working up an appetite snorkeling. They had cameras for rent (extremely expensive so I'd bring your own), a photographer that took picture you could purchase for a fee ($80 for all the pictures she took of us, again a little pricey), wet suit tops for rent ($10 each) and special snorkel masks if you are near sighted (I believe this had no additional charge). The boat was pretty new, clean and open which was nice. I would 100% go out with this company again.

We had the BEST time on the Sea Maui Sunset Cocktail Cruise! From the very beginning, the experience was wonderful. We called to book and spoke with Sunshine, who was exactly that -- an absolute ray of sunshine! She was so sweet, incredibly helpful, communicated everything clearly, and genuinely made us even more excited for the experience. When it was time to board, it was immediately clear that the crew knew exactly what they were doing. We visited during "hurricane" season, so the swells were definitely LARGE -- but that didn't stop us from having the time of our lives! Great music, amazing staff, fun fellow cruisers, drinks flowing, delicious food, and the most incredible Maui sunset. The vibes were absolutely immaculate from start to finish. Somewhere along the way, I also became the unofficial, official iPhone-ographer of the boat and ended up taking photos for sooo many people! One of my favorite things about the cruise was the crowd -- it was truly all ages, and ALL ages were awesome and an absolute pleasure to party with. We met so many genuinely nice people, including a group we clicked with so well that we decided to keep the night going afterward and ended up hanging out and doing karaoke together! That probably says everything you need to know about the fun, friendly, social atmosphere Sea Maui creates. We had such a great experience that I'm already excited to hopefully book a private charter with Sea Maui for our wedding welcome party next year! 10/10 experience. Highly recommend. The captain and naturalist were nice, friendly and knowledgeable. We saw a lot of whales, sea turte, and we also heard the whales sing! The captain has a hyrophone and that's when we heard the whales sing. Towards the end of our tour, I heard the whale sounds with just my ear and without the hydrophone. It was a really cool and memorable experience. I highly recommend Maui Reef Adventure.

Visibility was good on the morning we went although I felt the ocean was a little crowded with people not only from our group but also from other tour boats. It was the perfect amount of people, and my husband and I ended up chatting with most of the other passengers, having lots in common. Our captain was Caiden, who was extremely kind, informative, and entertaining. We also had crewmates Sienna, Diego, and Jim looking out for us and making sure that we were comfortable and had all of our wants and needs met. I felt completely safe and comfortable the entire trip and I appreciated having a certified lifeguard on boat with us. The snorkeling experience was phenomenal and being pregnant, it made me feel so calm and relaxed. I appreciated learning the history of the two various locations we snorkeled at and the opportunity to see a sea turtle. The ship itself was pristine, and the restrooms were some of the cleanest I have ever experienced on a boat. The breakfast and lunch that they served us was tasty, and the macadamia nut cookies at the end were the perfect sweet treat. I appreciated that they were able to offer me mocktails since I cannot drink at this time, and those were tasty as well. This experience was worth every penny and I would definitely come back and do it again.

I booked a snorkeling tour for one person in March 2026. Both my booking confirmation through…read moreGetYourGuide and the confirmation from Hawaii Nautical clearly reflected that the reservation was for one guest. The evening before my tour, I called to confirm everything. During that call, the representative noticed what appeared to be a duplicate reservation and assured me she would cancel the duplicate booking. She also recommended that I contact GetYourGuide to verify I would not be double charged. GetYourGuide confirmed that my reservation had always been for only one person and that I had only been charged once. Despite this, approximately two hours before my scheduled departure, I received a call informing me that my tour was being canceled because there were not enough passengers. I even offered to purchase a second seat so the tour could proceed, but that offer was declined. What is most frustrating is not simply that the tour was canceled, but that this issue could have been communicated much earlier. If the company knew they were unlikely to meet their minimum passenger requirement, there was no reason to wait until two hours before departure. By that point, I had already arranged transportation, incurred cancellation fees on my ride, and lost the opportunity to book another snorkeling excursion during my vacation. Yes, I was refunded, but a refund is the bare minimum when a company cancels a service for reasons entirely within its control. The last-minute cancellation created unnecessary inconvenience and wasted valuable vacation time. If you're booking with Hawaii Nautical, especially as a solo traveler, be aware that your reservation may be canceled at the last minute if they don't have enough passengers. I would have appreciated more transparency and significantly more notice.

We had an incredible experience aboard Calypso for the Molokini snorkel. Our 9-year-old son has a…read morerare progressive disease, is Deaf, and is wheelchair dependent, so we honestly never thought a snorkel excursion like this would be accessible for our family. From the moment we boarded, the crew made us feel not just accommodated, but genuinely welcomed. While transferring our son and his wheelchair onto the boat, I mentioned that he was Deaf and couldn't wear his hearing aids onboard. Without missing a beat, Clifford immediately began signing to him, explaining in ASL how he was going to lift and assist him. He continued using ASL with him throughout the trip. That kind of inclusion meant more to our family than I can put into words. Our son was even able to use the slide to get into the ocean to snorkel! When it was time to get back onboard, Sea Bass came right over to lift him from the water. And because he's 9, of course one trip down the slide wasn't enough. Sea Bass helped him get out of the water again and again, always with a smile and never once making him feel like helping him was a burden. He told us how happy he was to see our son enjoying himself and how much joy it brought him to help give him that experience. As parents of a child with significant disabilities, those words and that attitude stay with you. Another crew member repeatedly helped defog our goggles while we were in the ocean and even let our son rest on his surfboard when he needed a break from snorkeling. We live here on Maui, and this experience completely changed what we thought was possible for our family. We went into it wondering how accessible a snorkel excursion could really be and left already talking about bringing our family when they come to visit. Thank you, Calypso, Clifford, Sea Bass, and the entire crew. You didn't just make accommodations for our son--you made him feel like he belonged there. That made this a truly special experience for our whole family.

FOOD - The food was also very good quality. I was pleasantly surprised to get a tempeh wrap for my vegetarian meal; many places just stop at cheese and veggies. WILDLIFE - The reef around Molokini itself is not in great condition due to extensive bleaching, unfortunately, but the variety of marine life, including a few endemic reef fish, is still enjoyable. Highly recommend booking with this company.

After checking in with him, he guided us to go to for gate boarding. Walked to the gate and was greeted by another quicksilver employee for boarding. In the process of boarding we took a group picture. Entered the boat and took our seats in front of the boat. Not to long, we were on our way out to sea. It was always my bucket list to see whales. It did not dissapoint, I was seeing whales left, right and back. Our captain was friendly and gave facts about the whales. He did not make the 2hr tour boring. Aside from whale watching, the employees were asking us if we wanted drinks. So we ordered a few adult beverages to keep us warm and enthusiastic on seeing whales. Overall, the best $49 spent. Whales are beautiful creatures. This was an eye opener for me. Educational experience. I would definitely do this again if given an opportunity. Keep in mind, when you take a whale tour you may not be as close to the whales. Some were .2 to .5 miles away. The whales drift and fast to move. Dont expect a free willy experience. Lol Still awesome to see island and its beauties. I highly recommend Kudos to the entire Quicksilver staff! Friendly and professional.

Our snorkel package to Molokini Crater on Maui Magic started our trip off on such a high note. Captain Kiwini and crew were communicative, safe, fun, and helpful. We started the trip off with a warm welcome, muffins, and drinks. As we sailed out, we listened to some soft reggae music and passed around cards with the various fauna we might see as we sailed over the water. Upon arriving, they offered support to those feeling insecure about snorkel/snuba, gave us some great geographical context about monokini crater/Maui. They gave clear guidelines about where snorkeling was safe and where to avoid, and we had ample time to snorkel at Molokini- it was beautiful! We moved on to our next location (veggie sticks, ranch, and water as a mid morning snack), which was Turtle Town! Once again, clear instructions, interesting facts, and a good time. We had plenty of time in the water and even saw a shark, along with plenty of beautiful fish. The crew grilled up burgers (including veggie burgers) and provided fresh veggies, condiments, and chips. In addition to that, we got drinks on the way back- beer, wine, seltzers, and mai tais! As we sailed back to harbor, we chatted with other members of the tour, enjoyed the sunshine and music, and left full, happy, and ready for a nap! My husband and I took the morning Molokini Snorkel Tour on the advice of our son and his girlfriend who had thoroughly enjoyed the tour during their trip to Maui the year prior; we were so glad we decided to join Maui Magic Snorkel! The captain and her entire crew were amazing!!! Incredibly welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. Included in the tour is a welcoming breakfast which included a wonderful selection of fresh, island fruit, muffins and beverages. Later, you're treated to crudités and eventually a BBQ lunch! Ask about the Maui Waui burger, it's delicious!! The snorkeling at both stops was spectacular. Stunning marine life and vivid coral, the second stop we swam with sea turtles! The captain and her crew enjoyed learning about and interacting with their guests the entire time and were terrific with the children as well. Levels of guests ranged from those that who never snorkeled to those that scuba regularly and each were treated to an amazing experience. Thank you Maui Magic Snorkel tours! My husband and I went on a Maui Magic Snorkel boat tour as per the recommendation of our concierge desk at our hotel, and we were SO happy we went! The boat wasn't crowded at all, and they provided us with a wet suit and flippers. Out first snorkeling spot was Molokini - the clearer than clear water at the crater is reason enough to do a tour vs. renting equipment on your own. Between the colorful coral and the extensive variety of fish, we were both amazed at how beautiful the water looked. During our second snorkeling spot, we swam with sea turtles! All throughout the boat ride, we were able to see a LOT of active humpback whales (we went in the beginning of February). Regarding the staff, they were all friendly, very knowledgeable, and even brought us mai tais without asking! They provided breakfast (coffee, muffins, fruit, etc.), lunch (burgers, chips, veggies, soda), and had a bar on the boat. I ordered a veggie burger with pineapple, and it was one of the best veggie burgers I've had. FYI, they offer you the option to do Snuba, but we just did regular old snorkeling. read more

Simply awesome! We had 9 in our group. Crew was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. All women crew and loved it. Ana, Charlene (I think), Annie the scuba master, and anyone else I forgot(horrible with names), treated us to a great ride. Did the morning snorkel trip. I chose to try the snuba and absolutely loved it. Would do it again in a heartbeat. It is extra but extremely worth it. I'm a big guy so they helped with everything to make sure I could do it. Annie was also very patient with me while I got used to breathing through mask without feeling like I was going to drown. Alwaays checked on me and once I got down under water, I fell in love. I will do this again. It is whole nother world down there. I don't care about the cost. It was worth it. Snuba in Maui. Done! Thanks again Maui Magic crew. I hope to see you again! I can't rave enough about the magnificent experience my husband and I had today. I am a local girl born and raised on Maui- growing up surfing and enjoying the ocean, but today's adventure was one of my favorite days We boarded the Maui Magic with warm greetings, along with complimentary breakfast. Captain Brennan Henders knew Maui's ocean- sharing his wealth of knowledge regarding the tide and the majestic whales. While parked outside of Molokini- I had the pleasure of experiencing SNUBA I really hope others who come to Maui- or even local born like myself- take the amazing experience on the Maui Magic. Absolutely excellent! The staff is fantastic and they really take care of the customers. They fed us breakfast and a bbq for lunch. The captain is great at giving you local history about the sites and she spends time talking to everyone. Marcella is the Snuba instructor and she is truly wonderful! She takes time letting you know EXACTLY what to expect. Snuba snorkeling is so worth every penny! It is an experience I will always remember and will definitely be doing it again! I had the absolute best experience with Maui Magic Snorkeling! From start to finish, the staff was so kind, friendly, and welcoming they really made the trip extra special. The snorkeling itself was breathtaking, and they provided all the gear we needed, which was super helpful and convenient since we didn't have to worry about bringing anything. The food and drinks on board were also amazing!!! and such a nice touch after being out in the water. This snorkeling tour was everything I was wanting it to be. Coral Gardens is great for viewing an awesome variety of marine life. The water is a little murkier than Molokini (earlier this week), but way less crowded with people. We were there for the snorkeling, and the captain let us swim to our hearts content! The tour stayed there well over an unhurried hour including a tasty "Maui Wowie" bbq sandwich. The crew made us feel like we were all good friends, their efforts non-stop. I took 4 teenagers and myself on the Maui Magic. I had previously been on this trip and wanted my grandkids and their friends to have a wonderful. The kids had a great time. After a few mouthfuls of salt water they became quite comfortable snorkeling. CAPTAIN Charlene and her crew treated us like royalty. Saw to every request, plenty of food, sun and fun. My husband and I went on this snorkeling adventure while we were in Maui. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. We did not get to see any sea turtles but we saw more whales than we did on the whale watching tour and also saw lots of dolphins. We snorkeled at La Perouse Bay and it was absolutely gorgeous. We were served pastries and choice of hot tea, coffee, or hot cocoa in the morning when we boarded, and a delicious lunch that consisted of hamburgers and hotdogs after we finished snorkeling. The Captain and staff were amazing !! Staff was so friendly, nice & helpful with everything!! I can't say enough wonderful things about Maui Magic . It is a smaller boat which is great it was almost like taking a private charter! We went today 12-18-23 Captain even took extra time showing us some whales and dolphins! Made us an amazing barbecue lunch and two snorkeling places that were beautiful! Can't wait to go again! This was our 4th time going on Maui Magic!! Absolutely worth every cents !! In recent years I've gone snorkeling in Hawaii, the South Pacific and the Bahamas. All the crews were good although the snorkeling revealed that there are fewer fish and coral to see than years ago. The best and most helpful crew consisted of Captain Charlene, First Mate Katie and others aboard the Maui Magic in Hawaii. They did a great job. They were friendly, professional and fun to be with. And the grub was excellent. I had the Maui Wowie hamburger grilled by the Captain herself. Highly recommended. read more

We snorkeled today with Maui Magic and we had a great time! The crew was amazing! Ana, Megan, Marcella and Captain Charlene were so great and really made the experience fun, as we had a few first time snorkelers in our group. Maui Magic is the best Snorkeling Boat in Hawaii! Katie and the boys make you feel like you've known them forever. They were kind, helpful and could not do enough for you. Not only was the snorkeling excellent, the food was delicious. Breakfast and lunch are included. Recommend this to everyone! read more

We had a great trip with a great crew! Capt Charlene, Bob and Anna were all great. We saw dolphins on the way to Molokini, fish in the cove, whales on our way to Turtle arches and of course turtles to end the trip. Anna was especially gracias and gave us lots of ideas during our stay. read more

We were in Maui for the first time and wanted to snorkel Molokini. Maui Magic crew was very friendly , helpful and caring to make sure we had a good time. The captain was informative about local and sea worthy subjects. I would definitely go with Maui Magic again. read more

They always had Eddie keeping an eye on everyone in the water and helping people that dropped things that sank to the bottom. Eddie made sure you didn't get too far away. I appreciated the free mineral based coral safe sunblock. The hour at the crater and turtle town went by so quickly. Definitely try to be the first one off the boat if you can to maximize your time. They provide wetsuits for rentals if you need it. They also have a lady that is an underwater photographer and she did a nice job of trying to get photos of everyone which I think is the most difficult job on the ship. I liked her photos but thought $45 for a single photo was a bit too steep. I appreciate the fruits and pastures from Whole Foods and the coffee and also the sandwiches and potato salad and juice for lunch. They were delicious. There is something about snorkeling that makes you hungrier than normal. I always felt safe on the boat. A couple of things to point out, the boat gets pretty full so if you want to a covered seat get there early and if you want to sit in the very front you will get wet from the waves coming through the netting. Also the parking there was much more than I thought and read. It was $18ish dollars for 5.5 hrs I was parked there. The parking on the parking only goes up to 3 hours so don't risk getting a ticket even that parking is like $1/hr. The only other thing g which is totally out of the control of Malolo is the amount of tour companies to contend with when you get to the crater. It felt too crowded and too many people there. At Turtle Town there were hardly any turtles on the day we went unfortunately. I had seen more turtles on our own at other beaches than at turtle town, but I did see a couple of turtles. In general, people aren't aware of snorkeling etiquette and oblivious to their surroundings. I had snorkelers cut me off, crash into me, and taking their sweet time getting on and off the boat with the single stairs. Overall a good trip if you want to get out to the crater, but as for turtles, go to a beach on west Maui and you won't really have any issues.

This is the only snorkeling business I would recommend in Maui. Not because the others are bad but…read morebecause Seafire is so exceptional. Several reasons: 1. Their location at Kihei Boat Ramp in South Maui means that you have an extra hour in the water so you can make one more stop compared to the other snorkeling charters who leave from further away and you spend most of the time going and coming vs in the water. 2. Their guides are so good, respectful, fun and full of knowledge about the underwater things you'll be seeing. 3. Their raft holds 12 people (I think) so it's much more intimate. This was worth every penny. You'll never forget when you first drop into the warm Maui waters and the incredible underwater sights you'll see. Make sure to book well in advance.

With the help of our expert instructor and pro diver, that changed within minutes. He guided them with patience and confidence, and they ended up enjoying every moment. They are already asking when we can go back out into the ocean. We saw a wide range of sea life, including colorful fish, beautiful corals, and a few turtles. We also learned about the history of Hawaii, fun facts about the area, and how to identify different species while we snorkeled. The underwater scavenger hunt was a creative touch that kept the kids excited throughout the tour. Our instructor was professional, knowledgeable, and even captured photos and videos of us underwater, which was a great bonus. We came during whale season, so as a plus we saw a few , several times on the way to the two snorkel locations and back. First spot was turtle town. . Beautiful, we saw around 8 or so . They were not afraid of humans, in fact maybe they were intrigued. Color fish of course. Next went to the Molokai Crater. Waters were a little rough in comparison to turtle town. Extremely colorful fish, reef area was amazing. Best snorkeling experience compared to O'hau , Kauai, and St Lucia . We felt safe the entire time, makes sense since Matt declared he usually takes everyone back .(a joke). Worth the expense, and was happy to tip. Lucia said that people can come to snorkel at turtle town from the beach. (Behind turtle town are 4-8million condos ). Evidently the beach isn't private , so you could come back on your own.
