We had a great time diving in the crater and turtle cove. My favorite was diving in the caves! It was such a cool experience swimming into the bubble cave and being able to take my regulator off and breathing inside a cave! They provided snacks and drinks during our dive. Our guide was nice and found us some sharks, a turtle, eels, crab, and many other sea life. My husband was the only snorkeler on this trip and didn't see as much as us, but that's expected with snorkeling. read more

This was the first time I was in Maui and this was probably the best experience of the whole trip. My boyfriend is scuba certified and I am not and luckily with this experience I was able to snorkel while he scuba dived. We got on the "double scoop" and we were the very first boat to get to molokini and see the sunrise (super fast boat) Javier was the best captain and super funny and just made the experience great. Returning to Maui for diving is always a great experience and this time I brought two newly certified divers, my adult grandson and his partner. The crew did a refresher rundown on the equipment and procedures allowing plenty of time for the divers to get comfortable. Both my guests said great things about the Captain and crew being friendly and helpful. Our dive leader found some great critters underwater and was wonderful about pointing them out. Both divers wanted to continue their diving experience as a result of this awesome trip. Met at the docks in pitch black at the crack of dawn to head out to the Molokini Crater dive on the outer edge. The crew was full of great info about the area, what we could see and as always, the useful tips for people like myslelf that only go about once a year. We saw so so many great animals from Octopus, White tip reef sharks, Frog fish, Eel and heard so many Humpback Whale songs! Great dive and great team! read more

We had an AMAZING time diving with Island Style Diving. The crew is super buttoned up and efficient with everything on board while still being super friendly and approachable. Dive masters Emerald and John expertly handled a variety of experience levels, from new divers to well seasoned divers. Both were super knowledgeable about the local dive sites and wildlife. As an extra bonus, Emerald had extra hair ties and head bands to help us ladies manager our longer locks--much appreciated! During the entire boat ride, we saw SO MANY whales, including four full breaches! Awesome dive with a professional and safe crew, from captain to dive team. Dive master Dana was amazing, patient, and very knowledgeable dive pro, who made the two dives enjoyable for everyone. Family of 3 divers (2 teenage girls) and 1 snorkeler all had a great experience and saw some amazing marine animals, including a sea turtle napping in the ocean floor. We had a fabulous and perfect day with Island Style yesterday! I'm an adaptive diver and Christina, private DM, was kind and helped me as needed. My mom and sister joined as snorkelers on the boat and also had a perfect experience with Katie; Javier helped them fix their personal masks and made sure they were comfortable. My wife and I have been fortunate to dive all over the world and I can say without a doubt this is the best crew we have ever had the pleasure to spend a morning with. Our captain Javier set the tone perfectly. Fun was the priority but we felt safe and comfortable at all times. Our dive guide Yelena was knowledgeable, patient and had an amazing eye to spot small things on the reef. I believe the phrase "when you do things correctly, people won't be sure you've done anything at all" was coined about the first mate Warren. Our gear was always ready to go, masks defogged, and he created such an effortless experience it can only be appreciated when you've had some less than stellar dive trips to compare. The best part of the dive was using the scooters/DPVs. Javier gave us a quick 5 min brief and off we were. We covered so much ground underwater and we were able to see so much more of the reef. A lot of dive trips can be described as educational or "I saw something new" but I can honestly say that the first thing that comes to mind with this dive was "fun." As a bonus we saw several whales breaching on the ride back from Molokini. Everyone was having a blast and it was so much fun to be with a crew that truly enjoyed their work and was happy to share their knowledge. read more

I got to do the snorkel trip to Molokini last week. I've been on Island for many years and have never been. The crew was very friendly, knowledgeable, and balanced perfectly on the line of making me feel both comfortable and safe...while adding in some humor and personality to the experience. They showed us wear to go, kept us safe while pointing out an awesome eagle ray and other wildlife that we otherwise would have missed. They also did a little circle of molokini to show us the beautiful back side when taking us around to snorkel at another spot. Would definitely go back and hopefully get some education on free diving next time. read more

I did 2 days of diving with Island Style. I got lucky and got to do the Molokini back wall both days! Javier and his crew are awesome. Dana and Christina are both great guides, we saw Nudibranchs, a frog fish, a few dozen baby sharks, some white tips as well as some large grey sharks in 4 dives, of course on top of the usual fish. The icing on the cake is they let you get your dive on! Dive time is only limited by your dive profile and air consumption, and in my case getting cold. The Double Scoop was comfortable even though it's usually their snorkeling boat, and the two bean bag chairs are awesome!! Highly recommend! read more

This is my second visit to Maui and both times I've dove with Island Divers ( Maui dreams shop). This trip I've done 10 dives so far and i do have more scheduled. The crew, Captain Steve, Logan, John, etc are great and the shop breaks up the divers based on experience and allows 65 minutes to 70 minutes of time!! This is fantastic. Good and clean tested tanks. Nice boat, hot coffee and snacks and a HOT RINSE after your first dive! wow. I hope to return and of course would dive with them again. read more

First time diving with Island Style Diving and it was great! This is a relatively small boat, but has all the necessary amenities. I really like that there are only 10 divers, which results in a more personal, less chaotic experience. Javier, the Captain/owner, knows the island and its waters intimately, and it shows. My daughter finished her PADI open water certification with Javier and Yelena at Molokini Crater. The Island Style Diving crew was great! We had an amazing time diving with this crew! They prepped us with pictures and descriptions of some of the amazing fish, eels, octopus, and nudibranch we might see. They had a large binder with full size pictures of fish and many books handy to look at between dives. The crew was helpful identifying things we saw on the dive. During the dive, Yelena was awesome at finding the hard to spot creatures. She'd point them out and then write their names on her underwater writing pad. We saw an octopus, many white mouth eels, yellowmargin moray, white tip reef shark, a hunting trio of blue fin trevally, flounder, a leaf scorpion, and many different nudibranchs. Back on the boat, the crew had an assortment of snacks and drinks (including coffee). Warren was really helpful getting our gear organized and getting our BCDs on and off. It was really nice hearing his stories of dive experiences on the way out to Molokini. I'll defiantly dive with this team again. read more

It was my first time diving in deep tropical waters (I'm newly certified). I was extremely nervous but they took care of me above and beyond. My husband and I were lucky enough to snorkel at Molokini on the new boat "Double Scoop". I have been on alot of Maui tour boats, and nobody does it better than Island Style! The boat is incredibly smooth, organized, and comfortable, down to the last detail. Snacks, hot water shower, hair conditioner(!), bean bag chairs, shade, whatever you can think of. The boat is amazing, but the owners (Javier and Christina) and their water loving, passionate, knowledgeable crew make it a truly memorable, super fun experience. So much positive energy and attention! We saw a monk seal and an eagle ray, and I even got some valuable advice for my underwater photography! Highly recommend, they never disappoint. read more

Outstanding! I recently completed 4 days of diving with Island Style Diving and my wife completed 3 days of diving which included completing her AOW certification. Most of the dives were boat dives from their wonderful boat the Pilikai, but we did a few shore dives including a night dive. ISD rates at the top of the many dive operators I've experienced in my diving travels. The ISD team, including Javier, Christina, Jelena and Warren, is professional, safety oriented, fun and they provide top notch customer service. I highly recommend ISD. The next time I plan a trip to Maui that includes diving, ISD will be my first call. BTW - the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the snack assortment are outstanding - almost as good as what my wife makes. read more

I have been coming to Maui for over 20 years and gone to every operation. This boat is the cleanest and well organized. Amazing little touches like a phone charging station, sunglass holders and dry bins for all your stuff. Great interval snacks with lots of choices and an actually easy to use bathroom, which is never easy on a boat. Although I have dove many of the sights many times, they go out of their way to help find critters you might not have seen before. And they are always thinking reef first which is important.
