Tim is the best! I was afraid my diving days were over since my rheumatoid arthritis started getting worse ( got it in my 20's) and have a bad knee . But Tim made sure that I could still dive in and under and all over the place. He did everything possible to make my dive comfortable and amazing! He is so caring, knowledgeable and respectful of the sea and those who worship it like he does, Mahalo Tim!

Their customer service is great - communicating all you need to know and do for your dives. They are accommodating, helpful and so stoked you can see their passion in their work. Kanani was AMAZING, such a thorough, patient, fun, encouraging, knowledgeable instructor. When we dive again and need a guide - she is the one! My son enjoyed completing his cert with her, talks highly of her and is inspire 100 percent by her. Not only is she a great communicator but she is so passionate about diving and the ocean. She educates you on ocean stewardship and protection. Mahalo for keeping our oceans healthy, our diving save and fun!

After reading many rave reviews for Maui Dreams, I enrolled in the Rescue Diver class through their…read moreshop. I scheduled the class a few months in advance, and they even advertised it to recruit another student (after all, you can't rescue yourself!). I learned from the best--Kerri is a true expert in both diving and instruction. He is incredibly patient and explains concepts clearly. He took the time to answer all of our questions and really instilled the importance of dive safety--that anything can happen at any time, and you always need to stay aware, especially in and around the water. We practiced multiple real-life rescue scenarios in the water, which made the training feel practical and incredibly valuable. I learned so many important skills from Kerri--both ones I hope I never have to use and others that I will carry with me on every dive going forward. I look forward to diving with Kerri and the Maui Dreams crew the next time I'm on Maui!

Their rental fee for a suit was good so we didn't pack ours with our gear. Captain Gu was great, Divemaster Rae the trash mermaid and I bonded over picking up trash on the second dive. (Always good to do a dive against debris dive.) Due to the resent storm there was more trash than usual. Divemaster John and I hung for some extra bottom time and found some fun critters. Boat had snacks in the wings always ready to go and a cooler full of drinks. Hydration is always important while diving. They even rinsed our gear for us so we don't have to deal with it at our Air BnB. Just a few things we saw: Large Eel (over 5 feet), adorable little reef sharks, devil scorpion, octopuses (It's not Octopie!), Humuhumunukunukuapui'a!!! Easy parking at the Kīhei boat ramp, simple check in process, loading and unloading was simple. Highly recommend diving with them. And always remember to complete a pre-dive safety check when you are diving! *Long live Bruce Willis!

So if you're looking for that, this isn't it. I was slightly disappointed but not taking of anything because this was on me. The crew was heavily focused on ensuring guests were happy and took us to two different snorkel spots which was something many of the other companies don't do. Food and drinks were good too which helps. Thank you for a great trip.

I found the crew to be so-so and not 100% engaged in their work with exception of the snuba instructor. The Captain that day was particularly unfriendly and this is clearly a job to him, not passion. The breakfast was blah as was the lunch. I did appreciate the beer. They should have had bottled water and soda cans which would have fared better on the boat. One of the highlights was reeling in a 6 foot, 20# ono which completely delighted my daughters. Biggest downside- they didn't let us take our own pictures preferring their photographer to do it. The cost for pictures was completely ridiculous. The grumpy captain clearly did not want to share the fish stating that it would be at least an hour before fillet and dividing it up amongst the crew. I chose not to let the crew and the photography to sour the experience. What a joy it was to share the experience of swimming with the fish with my daughters. Biggest perk- prescription sunglasses that allowed me to see 20/20 clear! Be aware- the parking cost is monstrous :( Totally wish I could own my own boat to be out and about snorkeling in the absolute gorgeous Maui ocean life!

We were 4 snorkelers with 6 divers. We had to be at the marina at 5:20am and the early start was worth it. We were the 1st boat out to Molokini. We got to watch the sunrise while the scuba divers got ready. Capt Charlie was the over watch for us snorkelers and he gave us very clear instructions on where to go and how far away from the boat we were allowed to wander. Next stop was Turtle town, we only saw one turtle but still enjoyed an hour snorkeling around. The staff was great and the snorkeling was fun. We went back in to Scuba Shack a couple of times and every time they gave us great suggestions on places to eat that didn't disappoint.

Michael did a great job of going over what to expect. He did a great job during the dive as I originally struggled a bit, mostly due my long layoff from diving and the current. However he kept me calm and I improved my technique during the dive, I was use to drift dives. I was originally scheduled for a 2nd dive but we spent 55 minutes on the 1st dive, more than I expected. I didn't expect that length of time or that heavy of a current. Scuba Shack refunded the cost of the 2nd dive. It turned out 1 dive was perfect amount of time and we saw lots of fish, juvenile rays and even a turtle.
