Old hot water brass ball valve

I wasn't expecting to leave another review so soon lol! My downstairs neighbor said there was water leaking into the bathroom below and my building manager was concerned it was the pipes for the shower since it was just done. I called shoreline and they sent Paul Hijii back to my unit within an hour of calling! The shower was perfectly dry, Paul quickly identified my toilet was leaking from a failed wax seal which was not visible to me. He fixed it immediately, thank you SO much! I just added the shoreline emergency services line to my call favorites. It's a must have!

Emergency water shutoff. Professional and so easy to work with. Very accommodating. John Dyer, owner, licensed contractor answered my call. I noticed the 5 star reviews on Yelp. Condo renovation, unit had so many plumbing issues. Shoreline plumbing plumber Vangel came to access work at unit and early morning of water shutoff picked up the plumbing supplies we ordered. Vangel and other plumbers worked the entire day to complete our plumbing renovation. Replaced water heater, 2 toilets, kitchen sink, 3 faucets, angle valves for entire unit. Even going to pickup the correct kitchen sink from Lowes, since the kitchen sink we bought wasn't the correct size. Vangel and John always answered my text messages promptly. Excellent work and customer service. Honest, professional, worked until everything was completed, timely. I'm so happy I found Shoreline plumbing on Yelp. Highly recommend Shoreline plumbing. 5 stars.

    Broken flange

Shoreline Plumbing did a great job at less than a third of the cost of a competitor. Our toilet was smelling bad any I though that the bottom seal was leaking, so I removed the toilet. It turned out that the flange going into the floor was cracked and needed to be replaced. I sent Shoreline a photo of the flange and they quoted $375 to fix the flange and re-install the toilet. We had another company come by and they quoted $1125 for just fixing the flange (not installing the toilet). We hired Shoreline and they did an excellent job at the price they quoted. I will definitely use them for any work in the future.

We called Shoreline Plumbing to replace our tankless water heater . John called back to say he could help with the repairs on our existing heater, instead of spending money converting it back to a conventional heater. However, after discussing it with my wife, we decided to go ahead with the conversion. Very happy with our decision. Shoreline Plumbing is a great company. John and his crew did an awesome job. John is friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. He will also be sure to do the job the right way. They also completed the job in a very timely manner and made sure to clean up the area. Price was good too! Mahalo Shoreline Plumbing!

New sewer line strapped and supported.

5 stars to Shoreline Plumbing! The second-floor sewer line of my old house needed to be replaced. It was showing signs of aging, and I did not want to have it repaired in an emergency. I used the Yelp app to search for plumbing companies and the results were mixed. However, John Dyer, the owner of Shoreline Plumbing, was quick to respond to my call. John sent Vangel out to my home, and Vangel gave me an estimate that day. I chose Shoreline Plumbing because they were prompt, professional and the estimate was fair. Shoreline will not leave you waiting when you contact them. All communication was quick (Phone, text, and e-mail). It was nice that Brandon texted me reminders prior to doing the job to keep me informed. The day of the scheduled work, Vangel, Brandon, and Evan came on time and worked quickly. They were friendly, courteous, neat (cleaned- up after they were done) and did the work in a professional manner. See attached pictures. I look forward to doing another project (water heater replacement) with them in the future. Shoreline Plumbing 5-star reviews are well deserved. Mahalo to everyone at Shoreline Plumbing!

I couldn't even figure out how to stop the water from coming out and within minutes water was pouring down the stairs and leaking into the floors below the kitchen. After calling everyone I could think of, including the board of water supply, with no one providing any help, I typed in "plumbers" into Yelp and started cold calling down the list. First Class Plumbing was the third company listed but the first one that seemed to care. I was warned that I was calling after hours so I'd have an emergency fee if I wanted service now... I joked "fine - this is an emergency" and was told I'd get a call back as soon as they could get ahold of one of their plumbers. I went back to trying to heave buckets of water into a nearby sink and received a call back 15 minutes later. The plumber was so calm, and after hearing that I was still dealing with gushing water, explained to me how to stop the water flow. He asked me to send him pictures of the burst pipe and the faucet and got off the phone to price everything out including replacing the pipes and faucet. After doing all that work he told me what the cost would be and then said it was no worries if given the price I didn't want to continue on - or at least wait until it wasn't an emergency (an extra $150 charge). I said I definitely wanted the service and he came right out and fixed the burst pipe. I would already have been raving about this place for their competent service if it had been a normal scheduled appointment. But the fact that this company and the plumber were there for me when no one else was, and went above and beyond walk me through how to stop the problems and extremely quickly look into part costs for me before I ever even agreed to the service has made me a loyal customer forever!

I spoke with Ana and explained my plumbing issue, then emailed her a photo of the problem area. She quickly identified that it involved replacing my PRV, isolation valve, and irrigation valve. They provided a clear quote over the phone, scheduled the appointment within a few days, and completed the job seamlessly. Whitley arrived on time, was professional, courteous, and a pleasure to talk to. It was fun chatting football with him -- he comes from an impressive football family! His dad, Vili, was the University of Hawai'i football team's official Warrior mascot during the Colt Brennan era. Highly recommend this company for their fair pricing, excellent communication, and top-notch workmanship.

Then we remembered seeing 535 Plumbing trucks often parked downstairs and at other buildings nearby, and gave them a call. They asked my husband for some photos, gave him an estimate, and sent someone over that afternoon. The plumber was running late but kept us informed about when he would be arriving. Once he got here, he was very courteous, professional, and did what he had to do. He answered our questions clearly in layman's terms for us to understand. A second plumber stopped by briefly to help him. We paid what was originally quoted to us. We were very satisfied with the quality of work done and now have a new favorite go-to plumbing company to call on!

We sent a photo and were quoted $299 for a handle replacement, in writing and by voicemail. They scheduled the appointment and arranged for the Board of Water Supply to shut off our water. Two techs showed up. One looked at the valve without digging it out. The other, who hadn't even talked to the first tech, went straight to quoting my husband $1,500 to replace the whole valve. When my husband asked why the price jumped, he wouldn't explain. When my husband brought up the $299 quote, the tech became hostile, yelled profanity at him, and vaped on our property. I called the office, and they confirmed the $299 handle quote. After the techs left, the one who had looked at the valve called and told us they don't do handle replacements, and that our water couldn't be turned back on until we agreed to replace the valve, even though no one had touched it. He offered a "discount" on the valve job. He came back later and said he wasn't sure how the original installers had done the job, even though it was his own company's work. He never gave a reason the handle couldn't be replaced beyond "we don't do that." A manager then showed up, said they'd turn the water back on and that we should find someone else to fix it, and left without explaining anything. We weren't charged, but we lost a morning without water and still have a broken valve. Between the bait-and-switch feel of the quote, the refusal to explain, and the way my husband was treated, we won't be using 535 Plumbing again. If you hire them, get the scope and price in writing, and don't expect them to honor it

From the very first phone call, Corrine was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly kind, responsive, and professional, making the scheduling process easy and stress-free. In today's world, it's rare to find someone who communicates so well and genuinely cares about the customer experience. Our technician, Ty, was outstanding. He took tremendous pride in his work, patiently answered all of our questions, and clearly explained the system, maintenance requirements, and warranty. His craftsmanship was exceptional. The copper piping installation is clean, organized, and looks like it belongs in a plumbing showcase. You can immediately tell that Ty values doing the job the right way rather than simply finishing it quickly. We invested in a HALO H2Zero Ultimate system with a Sediment Guard pre-filter, and Allen's Plumbing installed everything beautifully with bypass valves, high-quality copper work, and a layout that will be easy to maintain for years to come. What impressed me most was the professionalism of everyone involved. From Corrine's communication to Ty's workmanship, the entire team demonstrated honesty, expertise, and genuine pride in what they do. If you're looking for a plumbing company on Oʻahu that shows up, communicates well, and delivers top-quality workmanship, I highly recommend Allen's Plumbing. They earned our trust, and they'll be the first company we call for any future plumbing needs. Mahalo to Corrine, Ty, and the entire Allen's Plumbing team for a fantastic experience!

As a home owner you have a lot of responsibilities where you need to juggle many responsibilities such as but not limited to finances, insurance, property taxes, preventative measures and maintenance. The other week I wasn't feeling well and stayed home from work which ended up a blessing in disguise as I had a leak in one of my 50 gallon tanks. I noticed the leak from the night before where I shut all but one valve and turned off the electric breakers. As water leaks can lead to property damage, I had to immediately get a plumber as I'm not a DIY person. I reached out to my BIL where he recommended either Allen's Plumbing (AP) or Roto Rooter. I decided to first check AP on Yelp and saw low ratings from good friends of Peter Y. and Victoria A. It's unfortunate my friends had below average experiences with AP where I was skeptical. But I trust my BIL and took the leap of faith. AP is a local company that started in 1982 servicing 24-hour service to both Oahu and Maui. The process was simple and efficient. I called first thing on a Friday morning and after addressing my issue, I was advised their plumber can be at my home at around 11am. Their dispatch contacted me a little before 11am to inform Jonah, their plumber, is on his way and arrived at about 1120am. After the assessment, it was determined that one of my hot water tanks had both internal and external leaks. I was provided an onsite quote of replacing the tank, installation, labor, parts, and disposal of the old tank. I was forewarned by my BIL of the higher than usual quote with AP, but trusted the integrity, service and professionalism of AP and agreed to the proposal. After committing to the quote, staff went on the road to secure my water tank replacement and came back about an hour later. This allowed me some time to clear the area and place more towels on the floor as water accumulated. When the staff returned, I advised them to use the side gate for a much easier access to the wash room. Luckily it was a breezy and sunny afternoon, ideal conditions in transporting the water tanks and installation. It took about 3 hours for Jonah and his colleague to disconnect and remove the damaged tank and install the new tank. I'm no expert in this field but waited patiently as I do have solar panels which perhaps caused extra steps in removing and installing. When I saw one of the staff load a box with the leaking water tank into their van, I sensed the task was soon to be completed. Prior to Jonah leaving, I did also mention my sink fixture in one of the bathrooms needed to be replaced where he also gave me a quote. It was already late so it was agreed I'd be calling back once I've made arrangements to have my sister house sit for me due to my work schedule. I paid my bill in full and the boys left my home. I had some minor tidying up to do as the laundry room floor was still wet. Overall, an amazing first experience with AP where I'd be sure to contact them again. I am impressed of their service, professionalism, dedication and knowledge of their industry by providing the service to get the job done. Note that due diligence is also required by the consumer. Highly recommended.
