In one of the pics I saw a little beehive Christmas ornament so thought I would go check it out (my mom is bee anything crazy). I wasn't sure where the GPS was taking me but once I saw the beatiful mural on the side, I knew where I was heading. Really friendly staff and some really cute gifts here. I was promptly greeted when I came in and was offered some coffee or water. I had to pass as it was a quick stop but I really liked the vide here. The shop had a bit of everything including clothing, candles, jewelry, and all sorts of gifts including some gorgeous drinking glasses. Definitely worth browsing just to check it all out. Overall, it looked like the general price point is on the higher end but nothing too outrageous for a boutique shop. I did find the ornament I saw in the picture but I know my mom already has the same one, or one that could pass off as its twin anyway. So many cute gifts and would totally visit again even though I didn't find something this trip. I really had to resist buying something just to buy it (holidays and all) but they have so much cute stuff.

However, it's sad to say that their customer service has really gone downhill. The last couple times I have been in to the Grandview location. The staff has been extremely rude and unwelcoming. Just today, I went in there this morning to get a dress for my daughter's birthday party this weekend. The woman could have cared less that I was in the store. She seemed irritated that I was asking questions about some of the dresses that were being shown on the mannequins. This type of customer service does not make me want to shop at the store. It's disappointing. Also, their sizes have gotten smaller. I feel as the years have gone on. I've always been pretty true to size, a large normally always fits. But I feel like the largest keep getting smaller. I'm still happy to go in there and buy HomeGoods because they are very well bought and very good quality. But, when I'm treated with such rudeness, it makes me not want to go into the store.

I have sold items a few times and love that I can get a bit more if I choose to get paid in store credit as opposed to cash. Any items that aren't selected for the shop get donated, which is awesome. It's connected to the White Castle building, snuggled right near the entrance to the apartments, Penzone, and Orange Theory. They sometimes have mannequins out front to call attention to it but it can be hard to miss. Once inside the staff is incredibly friendly, always providing help and suggestions when needed. The aesthetic of the store is pretty much black and white. I've never seen a lot of color here and when I do, it tends to be more neutral tones. The clothing can be fun and unique or even classy depending on what you're looking for. I will add that it's not very size inclusive. As a size 6 I was having a hard time finding something that was true to size. Overall, it fits nicely in the Short North and prices compare to the other boutiques in the area. A perfect stylistic representation of the store itself and the perfect model to display looks that I assume she is choosing/buying herself! I ended up with a super cute black and white denim skirt covered in crescent moons, and two amazing pairs of retro jeans. Epic 90's beige cargo jeans-- totally utilitarian raver badassery-- and black boyfriend-cut also super 90's jeans that somehow make my legs look super long. I seriously can't wait to wear them everything I bought! I pretty much liked everything I tried on and I got my top 3 faves.
