Typical target... Unfortunately, they didn't have what I was looking for but it's worth the visit if you need something!

I had a baked goods emergency this week (PSA: don't use scone mixes for the first time for a super important tea party...). So I needed scones STAT for a big surprise birthday tea party. Turns out scones are tricky to find when you're in a huge hurry! This Target location had everything I needed: orange cranberry mini scones, blueberry white chocolate mini scones, apple fritters, and mini vanilla cupcakes. Has anyone else been sleeping on Target's baked goods?! Literally everyone could t believe how delicious everything was! The scones especially: love the mini size and they're a bit cakier than a traditional scone, but zero complaints. Each item was about $5 so not even a terrible price. I wish I had caught my cashier's name (blond lady maybe lane 1 or 2?) SO nice! The last 3 times I've been through this Target's cashier lanes, everyone was really friendly. One star off because 1. Not sure I can justify a rating above a 3 for a national retail brand, since my experience is relatively the same at every other Target across America, but: This target is large and well-stocked; it's located near OSU's campus and has everything from home goods to clothing to beauty, grocery, and more. This Target is my go to one stop shop for item replacement like my PUR water filters and my makeup. I live closer to the Target on campus but this place has parking and close to other shops which is very convenient. This Target has a great selection of items, books and albums if you are looking for more things that tickle your fancy. This is the closest Target to me so I go to this one - Convenient but not my favorite. It is not well stocked-Always Seems picked over. I would think being close to a major university, they could stock more often. Always long checkout lines on the weekends, always trash in the carts that are waiting for customers, too many displays in the main aisle making it hard to navigate a cart, and some unpleasant check out people. Good selection of games, yoga items, fitness wear, snacks, and canned soda, so I got what I came for minus any fresh produce, as they don't have the grocery selection of larger Targets. Fair prices. Line at check out wasn't too long and there was a staffer guiding shoppers towards new open lanes. I'm generally a big Target fan. I like the clothes, browse the housewares, get some snacks. I find myself here more often than other locations just because of how close it is to me. However, I'm not a fan of THIS particular location. It's super close to OSU and has so many students, university employees and people living close by that it gets really busy and parking is a hot mess. It's your regular target - it's close to campus so it gets super busy sometimes depending on what's going on at OSU. Has a pretty nice selection of household items and grocery selection. They recently started doing contactless drive up for groceries and other items which is super handy. The app is really easy to use to do these and they usually bring your stuff out within a couple minutes of when you let them know they're there. read more

This is a decent Target store. It's not as huge as some Target stores nor does it have the grocery selection of a Super Target. It does always seem clean and orderly inside, though it is always busy and the parking lot congested. They are now open until midnight every night except Sunday when they close at 11pm. Inside you'll find a Starbucks but no food court like some Targets have. You'll find a pharmacy and an optical center offering eye exams and glasses. These have different hours from the main store, though. The optical shop doesn't even offer eye exams on Thursdays, for example, and the optical and pharmacy close much earlier than the main store. There is a pretty decent selection of groceries including some fresh meats, fruits, and vegetables. Enough for a few staples but tough for major grocery shopping unless you aren't too picky and don't need to select from 12 different varieties of Triscuits, for example. Grocery prices sometimes are lower than nearby Giant Eagle and sometimes higher. Tip: download the Target app and scan the barcode of items to discover secret sales. There is a self service checkout option which is often the fastest way to go. Staff seem consistently ok. Nobody ever approaches you to offer help, but they seem reasonably willing to help if you need it. Overall this is a very solid Target that's a much more pleasant to shop than Walmart or K-Mart. read more

Target is better than Walmart, I'll say that. It has about the same amount of selection and is better quality. This costs a little more and it has the same shitty customer service. It's also busy at this location. That's because of the students and not because it's a good store. I used to come to this particular Target store more often. It's really convenient from the campus area. The store is close to OSU so it's crammed with students while in the school year. It's probably why it looks so unorganized. There are also lots of students working there, so customer service is an issue. It's hard to get anyone's attention especially at the front. So many of the shelves are empty and they are constantly out of basic stuff like bread. A lot of teenage idiots who rather would be anywhere else. They are most likely being paid very poorly so it's understandable. It also seems to have a regular collection of homeless people around the entrance. They stupidly think idiot college kids have money. I would not come here. It's okay at most other Target locations. Would avoid this store, especially at night, and choose a better store. read more

First off, Target is the greatest gift known to humans. So let it be known that this review is not for Target in general, but for one specific location. :) I have such a love/hate relationship with this particular Target. It's the closest one to my apartment, so I come here frequently. They did some renovations here within the past few years, so overall it's really nice inside with plenty of merchandise. I also appreciate the layout of this Target - it just makes logical sense, unlike some of the other Target locations I've been to. When you first walk in you're greeted by the Starbucks and most of the clothing. Directly to your right are the health/hygiene products, and if you keep walking you'll dead-end straight into the food section! I love the selection of food at this Target location. There's quite a bit of fresh produce, and I usually don't have an issue finding everything I need. So, why the three stars? I've had multiple instances at this Target location where items are priced incorrectly on the shelves, only to get up to the register and have quite a shock. On my most recent trip, I grabbed a bottle of wine that was marked on the shelf as $14.99, and when I got to the register it rang up as $24.99!! I definitely recommend reviewing your receipts closely if you come to this location. Another good tip is to look items up in the Target app as you shop, because the prices are much more accurate on the app than they are in this store. All in all, I come here way too often. I frequent this particular location of Target often because it's the closest one to home. You can find it tucked away at Lennox Center, next to Marshall's, World Market, Old Navy, etc. While there is a giant parking lot out front, don't be alarmed if you need to park a few rows back, this place gets packed! This Target has everything you'd expect to find at a Target. You walk in to find a Starbucks, clothing and shoes for all (women, men, and children) household items, groceries, toys, electronics, bath and body, etc. Heck, they even have an optical shop! The prices are the same here as all the other Target's around town the only thing is this place tends to have a low inventory on some items. It's not a super Target (the biggest of its kind) and folks blame the college students but honestly, it's just a highly frequented Target. It's the only one around for miles. The staff is ok, nothing exceptional but if you need something you can find someone to help out. The lines also tend to go pretty quickly. I've never found myself waiting forever like I do at other big stores. Overall, could this target be better... yes. Will I continue to shop here because its convenient... yes! read more

I really need to give major props for the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at this location lately. They've been great in what I know is a really challenging time. Target offers several shopping options right now: online shopping, in-store with mask, pick up in-store with mask, and drive up pick-up if you have their app. They've been doing a good job keeping the store clean and organized, and the staff inside is friendly and efficient, offering greetings and thank you for visiting. There is a Starbucks available just inside the front entrance, near the Bullseye area, and they have the usual suspects you would expect to see at Target: clothing, shoes, baby and kid stuff, homegoods, electronics, games and toys, and holiday when it's that time of the year. This location does offer a grocery area with dry goods, some produce, a small refrigerated section, frozen, and alcohol. There is plentiful parking available. The drive up is a really great option you access by placing your order in the app and requesting it for drive up. They let you know when it's ready, and you click the "I'm on the way" button in the app when you're ready to roll and answer a few questions about the color and style of vehicle you're in. After parking in the drive up spots near the front entrance, you hit "I'm here," and it generates a code that you hang onto to show the staff member who comes out with your order to confirm that it's you before loading up your trunk. I appreciate them coming out, especially right now in the cold, to provide this service. read more

This is my go-to Target location. It's near by and it's nice. I agree with some other reviews in that sometimes it is low stocked, but it's always packed so it makes sense. But, it really is annoying sometimes. My wife and I will sometimes go around 9:30/10:00pm and it's still pretty crowded! Parking can be a nightmare, but if you go during off hours it's fine. I will swing by when I need almost anything. I have never had a negative experience with not being able to find what I was looking for; come on, it's Target, I will find at least a few things I (don't) need! Today's experience was wonderful! My wife and I wanted a new Roku and had the most outstanding customer service in electronics! I'm not sure if I can mentioned his real name, so I'll call him Ron... He knew everything about what we were looking for! I was so impressed! I've worked at Target a couple of different times and it's extremely difficult to memorize all of the products. Not only did Ron know each product, he knew all of the details! I want to give a big shout out to their electronics staff! No complaints about the staff! I have an interesting relationship with this store, I actually worked here all through college and grad school. I am happy for the opportunity it presented. Having said that, not a huge fan of some recent changes. They play music now, and it is kind of intense sometimes. Even though there is the OSU Campus store, it still seems crowded with college kids. Today I had a troubled youth in front of me, staring at their phone, barely moving... get out of the way! I also listened to two girls talk crap about the bride of the wedding they were in this year. So, not always the normal Target crowd you may be used to. Overall, it is pretty well stocked. Close to work, so I can pop in for a (sometimes) quick Target run on the way home. This is a pretty good Target which is generally clean and well-stocked. Targets overall are leaps and bounds above K-Marts and Walmarts. The prices here have always seemed reasonable though surprisingly we've found Giant Eagle to occasionally be cheaper. Download the Target app and scan the UPC code of your purchases; you might unlock a hidden deal or offer! There's a Starbucks inside but no food court like you'll find in some Target stores. There is a pharmacy though its hours differ from that of the main store. They have a fairly good sized grocery department including fresh meats and vegetables and fruits and frozen items and dairy though the selection is much smaller than a grocery store. Staff are pretty marginal. I don't think we've ever been asked if we needed any help or greeted in any way by passing staff. They do have several self service check out stations which are great for quick trips though one of the staff who always seems to be monitoring the self service machines has about as much personality as a buckeye nut. His one facial expression is a sour grimace. Oh well! Overall this a highly adequate Target which is generally well stocked but doesn't distinguish itself among its Target brethren. read more

This Target is only a few blocks from me so it's super convenient. Service in here is almost non-existent tho. Like most Targets, there's no employees in any section offering help or asking if you're finding what you're looking for. A girl helped me one time tho and I really appreciated it because it's so hard to get help in a Target. What really seems to be a problem here is employees at the checkouts especially at night. I was at a self check out and there were 2 girls near me not helping anyone. Another customer was walking into the store and one of the girls actually COMPLAINED "look at that, they're still coming in when they know we're closing." To quote Yelp.... Meh. I've experienced better. Just an average experience from begining to end. Good location, easy to get in and out, large clean parking lot, wide selection of items, and clean store. The meh.... very little help on the floor. I wanted to ask questions in the the housewares (after ten minutes I learned the person responsible for that section was on lunch and there was no one else to provide coverage.) Also wanted to get help in electronics, but there appeared to be one person working and 5-8 people waiting for help. After ten minutes on one person, I didn't get to ask and i didn't buy. Final issue was the long wait at the registers. How can you have twenty some lanes and four open with 8-10 people in each line. What message is Target management sending to their customers. My last trip resulted in the purchase of three items and 45 minutes of my time lost forever. If I was a person working at Target I would unionize and demand that management cross train employees to work in multiple departements and have the ability to work at the registers. I would want to feel confident I could do multiple jobs and provide excellent customer service. This place always seem busy when you look at the registers but there never seems to be as many people actually shopping at the store. Their location and inventory get people in and mismanagement keeps them waiting around. If there was another big box department store in central Columbus, I would shop there first. read more

Had I reviewed this Target when I was in school, or perhaps soon thereafter it would have recieved a glowing review. It does get smacked in face with traffic more than most other Targets that I have been in (it IS the only MegaStore within walking distance of one of largest colleges in the world), but still manages to not get REALLY trashed - as I've seen the Easton Target in much worse condition as far as cleanliness is concerned. This 1 star review is regarding a very specific trip to this particlular location which has thrown a monkey-wrench in my personal life recently. First - my mother buys me some underdogs from Target, but confuses my size with my father's and was off by roughly 100 pounds. I want the correct size - not some CD's or anything but the SAME UNDERWEAR. I cannot just go grab them and come back to the counter, though, I have to return the ones in my hand and get a gift card and buy the new underdogs that way. BUT, they have the see my ID first. Wha?? OK........ So, I get my new underdogs, get a little money back on a giftcard too somehow, and all this is handed back to me. Guess what didn't make it back to me. That's right - the personally important part of this transaction that had NOTHING to do with it, my ID. It has taken me weeks just to figure this all out, (Target is the LAST place I thought to look for a ID, which I rarely use at all anymore...) but they did confirm on the phone AND then again in person that they have it. I went in and they couldn't find it. "Call back tomorrow [when a more competant manager is working]," is what I am told. Two days later the truth comes out - they ran my ID through a shredder. While I am not typically a fan of "big box" stores, this one is an exception. This newly remodeled store makes for an above-average shopping experience. This location offers a pharmacy, optical services and an in-store Starbucks. The selection and quality of produce rivals traditional grocers and their seasonal selection of home goods is rather extensive. Beer and wine is available and there is a wide selection. At the time of this review, wine is not available on Sundays. The store offers easy to use self check out as well as having several staffed lanes open. Was wandering Lennox before a movie and decided to stop in to browse their small but generally well priced indie selection - nothing really struck my eye so I wandered over to electronics....the floor looked slightly less clean than your average movie theater. After messing around with the PS3 for a few minutes I grabbed some detergent onsale and went up to pay - there was exactly one lane open and the cashier was (no lie) on her cell phone.....really? They allow this? With a "oh, I guess theres a customer, I'll hit ya back in a few" she hung up the phone. No hello - she took the detergent, rang it up, recited the price, and collected my credit card........within moments of handing me the receipt she was texting someone. This Target reminds me of why I don't live anywhere near campus and make the annoying 315 commute evey day. Disorganized, dirty, and rude college kids running the show do not make for a pleasant experience. One star from "horrible" only because the soap was cheap. read more

I totally agree with Lisa S!! I don't know why I even bother going to this Target anymore as I am almost always disappointed. The products themselves are the same of course, but the constant disarray is a bit daunting. I am no neat freak, but when I'm shopping I prefer atleast a 'slightly' organized presentation...call me crazy. :) Also, I find that so much of the women's fashions are picked through that it is hard to really find a good bargain on my beloved sales racks. This is a review of a particular cashier and not the store as a whole. Basically, this poor excuse for a customer service provider tried to get me to do HIS job and was then indignant and passive when I declined. He wanted me to gather a hand basket that wasn't mine. (Clearly, since I was utilizing a full size shopping cart.) I bought apples from the grocery dept., purposely placing them on top of another purchase, as to not have them come into contact with the dirty conveyer belt. This asshat proceeded to pick up the box the apples were on top of and just dump them onto the dirty belt. Apples bruise! If you're going to provide produce, please instruct your employees on their proper handling. I'll continue to shop this location given its proximity to my home, but avoid a certain cashier's line I will!!! read more
