Okay not sure why everyone hates this target but this was my regular target when I loved in Victorian village and I still prefer it to the Graceland target which is now my regular. I had a really bad experience at the customer service desk today. They have a worker named "Bria" who has a dark complex, glasses & very rude to myself & a few other customers. I am waiting on a call back from corporate to give more details. It amazes me who ppl who in customer service & completely hate customers & are rude. How about you work in the back where you can hide & not deal with anyone. She probably has a hard time dealing with herself as well. I can't stand rude people & nasty employees. Way to go Bria! This Target has an abundance of snack foods- chips, cookies, snack cakes galores..but since I rarely eat processed foods and mainly just go to the grocery for meat, vegetables, and some other staples this Target just doesn't do it for me. Their produce selection is pretty limited in quantity, not very high quality usually, and really overpriced. Their meat selection is extremely limited and pretty expensive as well compared to other nearby grocers. If you're looking for frozen tv dinners, chips, crackers, etc. then this Target might be a decent stop, but if you want to do much grocery shopping you should really avoid it. They do have a solid selection of non-grocery items you would expect: movies, clothes, cleaning supplies, kitchenware, etc. but this has all been pretty overpriced in my experience as well. So here it is. The nation's largest grossing Target! Too bad the employees here aren't that helpful. I straight up had a guy tell me that he didn't know where an item I was looking for was, and that was that. He wasn't going to offer to find someone who did know... Also, the cashiers aren't that friendly? No one even greets me when I'm ready to pay for my stuff. I'm ready to strike up a conversation whenever they are, but doesn't seem like they ever want to. Every once in a while, Target will have a special line by a designer that they will only put in certain stores around the country. In Ohio, there's one in Cleveland, one in Cincy, and in Columbus - its this store. It must be its central location because to me this is just a plain, ole Target (which I still love btw), but I've bumped it up to 4 stars just because I can go here and try to get some designer designed frocks for less (try $40 a piece for two Gossip Girl inspired, Anna Sui designed dresses!). This Target is scary merely for the fact it is close to OSU campus. I made the mistake once of going on move in day when all I needed was face wash. A mistake I will never make again. The only redeeming factor in this Target is that, for some reason, they happen to have the best clothing selection in clearance. I find this Target to be really average. It's understaffed for the amount of business they do (has to be doing well, with close proximity to OSU). The location is nice; several other businesses are in the same strip, with ample covered and uncovered sidewalk to use. Inside, it looks like most other places that need more/better staffing: things understocked or out of stock, slightly disorganized, not as clean as you'd like, hard to find an employee when you need help. The store feels smaller than the one at Graceland. Given that criticism, this Target is better than many I've been inside. When you do find an employee, they can help you. Their selection of office supplies and home goods is great. The new food section looks nice, but I haven't used it yet. I don't go to this location often, but I don't avoid it entirely, either. read more

Number of visits: 10+ Most recent visit: 4/2013 What this Target offers, is it's the only megastore (Wal-Mart, Target, etc.) within close proximity to Ohio State's campus. So for many people it is convenient. However, it is definitely not the best Target you'll ever go to. It's highly trafficked, so multiple times I've found the store to be out of stock for what I was looking for. (And going on move-in day at Ohio State might sound like a good idea since it's so close, but unfortunately thousands of people have done that before you.) It is now a "SuperTarget", or whatever the right term is to call it when it has a larger food selection. That being said, the food section will probably leave you wanting more. If you don't have a car while you're at Ohio State, this place will serve its purposes, but now that I have a car I don't go here very often. read more

This Target is near campus, so it does get alot of traffic. I did make the mistake of going in once on move in day @ OSU, bad, bad idea! I shop here regularly, and have found the staff to be competent and polite. Overall, a good store. I even called them to ask about a particular product and got a clear, accurate and fast polite response on the phone, which is more than I can say for most places nowadays! read more

Fine to stop in a grab quick needs. Can be crowded. Decor selection is always nice, they have very nice plants and pottery at this location. Natural hair selection is average-to-below average. Notebooks and office supplies dont last very long/may be very low in stock/selection if you arent quick. I had been on the outs with Target for several years due to poor customer service but started shopping again last year when they made some big improvements to the men's clothing area. The honeymoon didn't last long however, as i see when in comes to Customer Service nothing has changed. No one in the store, not even a manager, will speak with you, everyone just refers you to a very offshore 800 number where no matter what happened, nor how blatantly the issue is Target's fault, or much you spent, once 90 days is past you are on your own. For being such a small store, they always have exactly what I need and a helpful staff that's willing to locate any items at other locations that may be out of stock at the time. Despite quite often being crowded and busy due to the proximity to campus, the staff is consistently quick, efficient, and exceedingly friendly. Definitely my go-to location! read more

This store needs to stock faster. I understand that being so near a college campus will make it hard to have some items (trashcans, curtains) available at times, but this should be something they're accounting for before the rush of move-in happens. It's also been a few weeks, and they're still without certain items (for example, the availability of tights is limited to maybe a third of the display area, and all in L/XL sizes). The store itself is fairly accessible, so I can't complain about that. Staff are helpful when you ask for the location of something. It also has an area to sit down for coffee when you've walked around for half an hour and can't find the WD-40 hidden on the bottom row of the aisle. read more

This Target is a bit smaller than I would have liked and they had a limited inventory of undershirts (what I came for in the first place). The store is designed in a pretty confusing way, but you will manage by speaking with their friendly employees. This is actually the highlight of the store - the staff members I encountered were all very helpful, friendly, and acted like they were happy to be there. read more

They seemed to have lots more clothing than I'm used to seeing at Target but a lot of it was dirty. You get 20% off if you want to buy the item anyway - I took a chance on a top I really liked. We are from out of state and came to move my son here. So impressed with the store.... the quality of the store and of the employees. Ron, in the tv department, was exceptionally helpful and kind. We purchased (over 3 days) two TVs from him. Ron told us about Cartwheel, which I knew nothing about even though I go to Target by my home in California several times a week. He encouraged us to take advantage of the Red card for an additional 5% off. I can't say enough about Ron. Not only is he a wealth of information he is a nice, quality individual. Thank you Ron. The other staff was great as well and the guys who helped us to our car with all "the goods" were very nice. I wish we could transplant the whole store and crew to Los Angeles to show them how a Target should run. read more

I LOVE this Target. Everyone is always so helpful and there is a good ratio of employees to customers. I get everything from apparel, to toiletries, to my groceries here. My only complaints would be that sometimes, I can't find random items (such a tomatoes or oranges) here simply because they don't carry them, or are just out of stock. The other thing is that there always seems to be a lengthy line when you go to checkout, but I feel like they do a good job of noticing when this happens and calling for "backup". read more

I was all excited Sunday when I got the Sunday paper and saw a 60" LED tv advertised for $699. The excitement ended when I wen to my local Target store in Columbus Ohio on Olentangy River Rd. i went to the electronic department to take a look at the tv for $699. I could not find it. I pulled out my trusty cell phone and brought the ad up on my phone, there it was on the front page of the ad, Sharp 60" led for $699. There was a Sharp 60" on display, but it was priced at $999. A girl named Sarah happened to come by pushing a cart and asked how I was doing? I showed her the tv I was making an attempt to find, She checked the tv on display, but it was not it. An associate from electronics came by, and was unaware there was a tv on sale. He checked the number from the ad , and there were 5 in stock. I asked when I could see it. He was not sure when it would be put on display, I did not want to spend $700, without seeing the tv. I ended up walking away. I decided to stop by the front desk and talk to a store manager. A gentleman came up, I showed him the ad, and asked," When will I be able to see this on display?". He got rude and said," that was not his issue, " WHAT?? an assistant store manager not his issue having a display of an item on the front cover???? I asked to see the store manager, so he paged a Sarah who happened to be the girl I talked to in electronics. When I asked her when I would be able to see it on display, she replied" I will have to ask the manager of the department tomorrow" WHAT?? I asked if I could get a similar tv that was on display for the same price, at least I would know what I was buying, She said no. I went out of my way to get to Target , hoping to buy the TV. borrowed a friends truck to get it home and because the Target store was very unprepared to handle a customer that wanted to buy a FRONT COVER item, went home empty handed. After wasting far too much money at Target on unneeded crap in college, I now only make a pit stop here when a need a card. I'm kind of a card snob and like to buy Papyrus brand cards when possible because they're so freaking pretty (albeit pricey) and I place a disproportionate value on presentation of card and gift giving (I blame my mother for teaching me this). If pricey cards ain't your thang and you like sticking it to my high school job, Hallmark, they have a good selection of other branded cards in general. Love their packs of "thank you" notes. I'm not a fan of how Target has become a grocery store as well - lost its cache and is becoming Hell on Earth aka Wal-Mart 2.0. Yes, this location is ALWAYS BUSY BUSY BUSY because DUH, OSU is right across the OldNTangy River. It's fun to gaze at cute college boys here even when you're well beyond college. read more

This target is only *slighty* classier than your average wal-mart. My biggest complaint was that it's sheer size makes a specific item hard to find (in this case, reusable ice packs for a cooler). There was a lack of anyone around, and the people I did see were busy trying to walk away from customers as fast as they could. I like the brand, just this location is not that great. Also, busiest parking lot in the world due to it's proximity to campus. read more

As a former Target Manager, this Target is definitely cleaner than most I have visited/worked at myself. However, all of my visits were during the Summer season meaning that OSU students near by were not there to shop the place as much. read more

Long time shopper; first time Yelper. Had to communicate my wonderful experience at the Olentangy Target. While shopping today, I fell and found I could not get up. Unfortunately, this happens quite a bit. At other Target stores my cries for help are usually ignored, but at the Olentangy store the staff is always so attentive and responsive. I love, love, love Target in general and this location is no different! Very clean! Well stocked! Friendly and helpful staff! The sale prices were great. OMG the remodeling is such a pain. I'm sure after it's all remodeled it will be better, but for the moment drive to Graceland, Dublin, or Hilliard because you won't find anything here. They seem to have a lot of employees wandering around to help you find what you're looking for, however you probably still won't find it. They seem to be getting less merchandise than usual - probably so they won't have to keep moving as much. Regardless, it makes shopping more difficult. Today I went in for opaque black tights. Tights weren't in the normal section, but I quickly found them. Much less selection available & they were completely out of the kind I normally buy. I selected another brand since it said they were on sale for $7. Got to the checkout: they rung up at $11. Really I'd much prefer if this location closed during the renovation. Because they're not getting my dollars anyway when things are hard to find, barely in stock, & mislabeled. read more

This is my go to Target store. I don't do big box very often but when I need to this is the place. The clothes are cheap and tend to fall apart quickly but it's great for basics like underwear and socks. Right off 315, loads of parking, and you can combine your trip with movies, pet store, office supplies, etc. read more

Not understanding why everyone hates on this target? It's such a convenient stop for me after work to grab some groceries or housewares before I head back home to Worthington. Not to mention, it's super easy to get onto 315 N from the target parking lot. Oddly enough, it's a big reason I stop here. Also, I LOVE the employees at this store. I've always found them helpful when I've asked for help and they actually try to move out of your way while they're stocking. There is one particular cashier I just love because she's always in such a great mood I leave with a smile on my face too. As far as organization goes, I don't see any difference in this Target than any other one I've ever been in. It's probably not as large as the one at Polaris, but I think they always have a good selection and it's a great stop for the college kids in the area. read more

By far my favorite big store. Target always delivers great selections on everything you could need for yourself home or pet. I think I've been in at least 30 different targets between here and the east coast. This store is in the tops in my book. Its a big store and offers groceries. Their produce and meat quality are equal to chain grocery stores. An added convince. Their pharmacy has also impressed me. The prices are right and the turn around is quick. Two gripes I have with this target - a sad selection of shoe sizes if you wear an 8 or 9, don't hold your breath for your sizes - dressing room attendants are super rude Avoid this target on Saturdays if possible gets a little crazy read more

I used to love this store until a few bad experiences happened. Most recently, my debit card was charged twice on the self check out. No big deal, right? Just go in and show proof. After talking with several staff members who look like they didn't even know where they were or what they were doing, a manager (I assume) came over. He gave me an 800 number (gee thanks) he had me call it, maybe help a girl out...I dunno. Customer service? Sat on hold for 10 minutes with god knows who or where only to be told they were transferring me to another department who (and they warned me before transferring) was experiencing "a high call volume". I hung up and will go back in and talk to someone who hopefully gives a shit. What a joke! read more

I don't mind that this store is crowded or that most of the customers are college students. What really bugs me about this location is the staff. Every time I've been to this location (which is pretty frequently), the staff is either incredibly rude or completely uninterested in what they are doing. And almost always UNHELPFUL. Sure, you might hate your job, but you are in customer service whether you like it or not so you could at least try to fake it a little. It's clear that most people who work there really don't want to be there. I don't know if this is because Target treats its employees poorly or because they don't do a good job screening candidates before they hire them. Best pharmacy in the OSU area. Employees very attentive and willing to help.

I really have no problem with this target. the only thing that pisses me off is every time I go there the fake employees or undercover shoppers are always watching me as if I am going to take their cheap worthless crap. And some of the employee's are nice. But some are fake. Like I was there buying some food and this employee acted as he was putting something away but really the thing is he had socks in his hand when do socks go in the grocery section. The pharmacy people were nice. I guess because I had my I-pad and they thought I was maybe bourgeois. You know I mind my own business and never bother no one. But for some reason when I go to this Target I am treated weird. I go to the Target in Whitehall they treat me different. But this one the people are really funny. read more

This one's in a good location but it is pricier. I noticed it seemed to cost more, so the last time I was there I noted the "regular prices" and compared them to the same items at other Targets around Columbus. Several cost $1.60 more; the markup was the same even for unrelated products. I've stopped shopping at this store since there are other Targets with better prices around town. read more
