I wish we had a Gabe's in the state where we live. I'd describe it as a Ross or Marshall's but bigger and with slightly lower pricing. It has the whole range of products from clothing to home goods, to a small selection of food and electronics. Clothing takes up probably 70% of the store. Pricing was excellent for scrubs (medical profession uniforms) and swim wear. Expect to pay about a quarter to half the price you'd find at full price stores. Selection is obviously more limited but large enough if you're not too picky. read more

First time at Gabe's. I was not impressed. The store was a mess. Carts left in aisles, stock left in boxes. Merchandise not marked with prices. It was just a frustrating experience. I had heard so many positive feedback from different people is why I wanted to check it out. One good thing was the cashiers were very nice. I shop here all the time. This reminds me of a TJ Maxx, Marshall's or Ross. It kinda hit or misses with the clothing but it doesn't stop me from shopping and getting a nice dress, workout clothes, shoes and even things for my home like rugs, cleaning products, purses and so much more. I do love their rewards program where you get to stack up on points and coupons. This retail is vastly growing and I appreciate the time they take on stocking the shelves and keeping the vibe of the store great. This is what keeps me coming back! read more

Gabe's is a growing discount store chain, and lots of people are excited that they're in Columbus. Sweetie's mom used to drive more than an hour to go to other locations. She has lots of kids to shop for, and this is the best place to get them clothes. Discount clothes are their specialty. Think somewhere between Odd Lots and Target in terms of price and selection. They also have some household goods, and toys, etc. When I went they had a Christmas section, too. Prices are good, the store is mid-size (this location used to be a sporting goods store.) It was clean, as you would expect with a brand new store, and service was good. Plenty of parking. read more

I'm sure you'll encounter a shoplifter at one point or another, and shoplifting is an ugly side of the shopping experience that no one wants to see. I'm sure that stores like Gabe's do not want their customers getting hurt in an altercation since some shoplifters will fight or even carry weapons. Still, last night at Gabe's, we faced two people taking name and price tags off items along with the shell security tags with added embedded Benefit Denial ink ampules. Obviously, it wasn't their first time, as they were packing a small screwdriver and a magnetic detacher to remove the shell security tags. Expert level, since the ink had not deployed. They were nervous acting and kept pacing back and forth up the aisle. I told the manager about the situation, and she motioned me to lower my voice. I explained that I was Deaf, and this is how I speak. Come on; I'm trying to help you prevent thieves from taking whatever they desire to take from your store. She asked me to point out the aisle, and I showed her both of them. There were a total of twenty-one price tags in the two aisles, along with three shell security tags. She gathered all tags and headed up front. We stayed for a few minutes and then decided to leave after we weren't able to find a specific product. I'm not sure if the police were called or not, but I highly doubt we'll return to this location. read more

This is only my second time in here. They seem to literally have everything. From clothing and home decor, to groceries, electronics and CBD. They have a little bit of everything. I bought a few items as Christmas presents during my visit. They had a great selection of gifts and toys. I also purchased a few outfits for the kids and they really do have great prices and name brands. read more

It's like a Marshall's or T.J. Max where everything is discounted. The location was preciously a Sports Authority so it's a large location. The store had lots of clothes but nothing really to choose from. The prices were not that great either. Finding something would be hit or miss. I only stopped in here because I didn't know what it was and wanted to see something new. This isn't a place I would find myself shopping but maybe you might find something. read more

First time in a Gabe's; it is like TJ Maxx and Marshall's. I looked through some racks and after my husband found some men's stuff and headed to the register, I found some women's racks up front with $10 and below tops. Some of the stuff was damaged, so I looked at each item I chose to make sure there were no holes, etc. I found 4 tops. In the long checkout lane, I also found a 3-pack of Betsey Johnson socks that were very soft (I love her) for $3.99 and a security wallet for $3.99. The cashier was very nice, but then after we left discovered on the receipt that she charged us twice for one top. $5 wasn't enough trouble to go back for but next time I'll look closely before leaving. There is a pretty good variety, with mens, womens, kids, and home stuff. All in all, it is someplace I can make a stop at to look for bargains when I make my regular Trader Joe's trips (very close proximity). read more

I've been shopping at Gabe's (then called Gabriel Brothers) since 1994. Where I grew up in PA we had one close by. Since living in Cbus, I always had to drive to Zanesville to go to Gabe's. I am so so so thrilled to have one so closeby again! Was just living out on the west coast for 2 years and we missed our trips to Gabe's so much. Now we can go anytime! The prices are UNBEATABLE and I love that they have housewares and toiletries as well as clothes, shoes and accessories. Gabe's is the best! read more

This store is awesome and I really wish I would have known about this place earlier. Gables has really nice clothes for great prices that are cheaper than discount stores. Everything is clean, in order, and easy to find. They even have name brand clothing for kids. The only thing I wish they had more of were shoes and in different sizes. Most of their winter tall boots only came in one size. Other than that, I would highly recommend Gables if you're looking for quality clothes at an inexpensive price. Very clean and organized. Better than any other Gabe I've been too. They were stocking as we shopped. They was a great selection for children and I have boys so I was very happy to see that they had stuff for them. I was able to find some great home items. My husband even found stuff which is very rare. Check out was fast and easy. We have a rewards card and got 3 coupons for our next visit. read more

Wow! I cannot believe the selection! Went in for sheets and left with sheets, a quilt, a blanket, an area rug, a couch cover, cutting boards, and a candle. I loved this place! I had a friend recommend I go knowing I love discount shopping and thrift stores and I thoroughly enjoyed this place.
